Guest Reviews
- maria luisa (8/5): - Close to everything, need some tlc but overall for the budget is a good option. Staff very helpful and safe place.
- Gladis (8/5): Pretty clean and comfortable - It was good, near to plaza, and church
Just in the front desk ,mosquitos bite us terrible, but inside the room we didn’t have problem
- Francisco (10/5): - Clean, comfortable and well kept
- Mohit (10/5): - Room was nice, welcoming staff. Are is close to downtown and on main road. They have garage for safer parking along with street parking.
- Hussain (4/5): - Water was not hot. Sometimes things are cheap for a reason.
- Lynn (10/5): Good hotel - Great place about 3/4 mile from the center. I really appreciated that they asked if I wanted my room cleaned or not. Who needs a new towel every day?! Floors in the room and the bathroom are very slick if they Our wet at all. The man who works there and speaks good English was incredibly helpful! If you walk on the parallel Street either north or south of the street the hotel is on, it’s way easier because the sidewalk is wider. Very kind staff.
- Mary (8/5): - The staff were great and really helpful, the hotel had everything we needed and was really clean - some of the fizrures etc were definetely showing signs of needing to be teplaced but they wre clean so it didnt matter. Its a quick taxi ride to the centre of town or about a 1p minute walk.
- Tom (10/5): - Ex military here. Cleanliness, working, clean shower and friendly staff is paramount to me. Everthing else is secondary
- Samuel (2/5): - The hotel is very outdated. It does not look like in the pictures. The water in the pool was dirty. The mini fridge in our room was disgusting. There is not water pressure in the bathroom. Hot water takes forever to come out. The towels were old. The bef sheets had holes. Staff was very nice.
- Lena (10/5): Great Value - Lovely little Mexican style hotel. It was ver comfortable and fairly quiet. We stayed in a suite that had a king bed, a couch, fridge and a coffee maker. There was a garden in the court yard with a pomello tree with fruit! We really enjoyed our stay.
- Isabel (10/5): - Within walking distance of attractions and friendly staff.
- Benjamin (10/5): Nice hotel - Nice place to stay. Beautiful hotel. Basic but confortable rooms. Fridge and AC provided.
Well located. The staff gave usefull tips.
- JAVIER (10/5): - Awesome service. Very clean. This hotel collect your payment. Expdia or other websites just make your reservation.
- Jeanette (10/5): - Great little hotel that’s within walking distance to everything.
- Corinne (10/5): Like this place - We had a fun easy time.. comfortable, quiet at night, save area, walking distance to attracrions they have bikes to rent and a restaurant across the street.
- Adriana (6/5): - this is a budget hotel. the rooms are fine, and the staff is super friendly. they urgently need to change their towels and sheets, they were stained and had holes in them. it’s only 6 blocks from the plaza which is convenient
- george (10/5): - Nice staff, clean and great value for the price.
- Juan (10/5): - Room was spacious
- Cynda L (10/5): Great Value - Lovely historic hotel in a quiet location.
Has not been modernized, but the rooms were sufficient.
Although breakfast service wasn't provided, I was permitted to use the kitchen microwave and utensils.
Overall good value as we are on an extended trip and we don't need pampering.
Close to a supermarket and a few takeout places.
- bruce (10/5): - Lovely spacious old school hotel in a colonial building. Nicely rehabbed rooms. Very comfortable. Pleasant little pool. Shady garden. Friendly helpful staff. Enjoyed our stay.
- Jose (10/5): - La gente que atiende es muy atenta y amable. No tuve problemas
- LILIANE (6/5): - The person at the desk was very friendly and helpful. However the bathroom was a disaster…The water was just lukewarm instead of normal shower temperature and the shower head a huge gush in any direction instead of water coming out of the holes. This is a maintenance problem and not one which happens all of a sudden…it’s a totally calcified shower head! Not acceptable! My hair got all wet and the bathroom full of water because it was so unexpected…
- Cortney (10/5): - Very cute boutique hotel. Simple luxury with a great king sized mattress! Great proximity to all central tourism sights. Would stay again.
- Michael (8/5): - Nice and quiet. Only about a five minute walk from the city center. The rooms are simple but at a good price.
- Mark (10/5): - Spacious clean room with comfortable king bed!
- Shehzeen (10/5): Beautiful hotel, gorgeous hacienda wonderful staff - Really lovely place to stay. Its a goregepis hacienda with volirful tiles. The staff are super friendly and helpful and nice, and they give you some great advice for visiting the surrounding cenotes and town. I wish id stayed there longer. In truth i miss the hotel. Thank you for such a pmeasant stay xxx
- Jorge (10/5): - Good place!
- Wendy (10/5): - This place was great, quiet and close to everything
- Donna (10/5): Wonderful stay! - The gentleman at the front desk could not do enough for us … even ordered our New Years meal (as it was too late to make reservations). The room was lovely, king bed with separate sitting room. Easy walking distance to the sites. Great service! Will stay there again in the future
- Marlon (10/5): Nice place. Great price. - Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Overall clean premises.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Service! - The suite that we booked was not available, so they put us in the standard room and refunded the difference. On-site parking seemed secure, if a bit small, but it did the job. Service was fantastic and the overall experience was great, despite the hotel being a bit worn. Nothing outrageous though, and all to be expected given the price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice comfortable guest house hotel in beautiful Valladolid at an affordable price.
- Matthew (10/5): - We have stayed here a couple times. We like the rooms upstairs better. But downstairs is just fine as well. A little away from the center but not too far, so it's a little more quiet. Beds are good, place is clean owner is great with the suggestion if you want them. Parking is good.
- Dk (10/5): - Amazing! Ricardo and Edwin were fantastic! Very Close to downtown.
- Alejandro (10/5): - This hotel is a classic colonial big house, it's beautifully decorated and super well kept and clean. It has a small pool and nice plants all around. It's just beautiful. The hosts are super nice. About 15 minutes walking distance from downtown and 5 from a gorgeous local cenote.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Staff was nice, but the room was very dark, no natural light we've found 4 cockroaches in the room. For those reasons, we stayed one day instead of two.
- Jillian (10/5): Lovely stay! - Lovely staff. Very cool foyer with some retro items. Comfortable rooms. Nice new bathrooms. Would stay again
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good sized rooms although double beds small. Very noisy a/c. Good bathrooms with decent showers. Breakfast pretty lousy, so unless you have to, don't bother with it. Public areas OK. There is a small pool alrhough we did not use it. Location a little out of the centre
- Sara (10/5): A great stay - Had a great time. The hotel is only a few minutes drive from the main square tucked away into the less busy streets. Breakfast was decent... only one option though (bread with butter and jam, fruit + coffee or tea). The shower has hot water, which was well received. We had a private garage space for our car. We enjoyed our stay in Valladolid and will definitely consider coming back to this hotel.
- Denise (10/5): - Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious and clean.
- Sarah (10/5): Super staff - The hotel is a traditional Mexican hotel. It was about a mile away from the central square. What made the hotel special was the staff who were super nice and accommodating. The breakfast was also very good with really good, hot coffee. It was a very good deal for the money. The only thing that was odd was that there were no blankets on the beds. We had to ask for blankets and they seemed surprised that we would want them. But maybe Mexicans don’t use blankets. The hotel was about a mile away from the central square. We walked there, but it wasn’t a very nice walk. Later we discovered that taxis are very cheap.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very clean and nice hotel! Price is also nice and staff
- Chris (10/5): The staff here are amazing - The staff here were so great. Spoke pretty excellent English, which was a cool surprise for the area. We stayed here so we were close to the bus station to get to Chichen Itza before all the tourist buses from Cancun did. Front desk recommended a lot of excellent local things to do and gave some tips about Chichen Itza, ended up being really impressed with the city. Pretty close walk to the ADO bus station, do note the route goes through a not-as-nice part of the city, although I never got the impression it was dangerous at all walking around there at night. The hotel itself has a really cute colonial feel to it, would totally stay here again.
- Max (10/5): Great place, great value - Very pretty, helpful staff, clean, comfortable. Location was a bit outside of the old town, so not the best, but close enough.
- Deana (10/5): Hotel Quinta Marciala is a hidden gem - The service was excellent and welcoming. We loved the quaint atmosphere but especially the staff who were so helpful. Definitely recommend
- Edith (10/5): - We were delighted with our clean spacious light bright room and the convenient location of the hotel. Walking distance to everything.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Cozy and quiet I liked it and will recommend it. Thank you for the great service.
- Joan (8/5): - About what we expected, good value for the price but nothing special. The staff was very friendly, but knowing some Spanish is definitely an asset. It was a bit longer of a walk down to the center zocalo than we thought it would be, but doable. We got a good feel for Valladolid by staying here.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good enough - Couple days layover, not bad. Close to bus station.
- Ioanna (10/5): Excellent hotel in Valladolid - We had a lovely stay at this hotel in Valladolid. The place is so beautiful and very well taken care of. Great value for money as well. The room was great, very clean and the bed was really big and comfortable. The center of the town is a 15 min walk. The staff is very friendly and had very good recommendations for where to go and where to eat!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Value for money - This hotel is really good value for money. The staff is really helpful, beds are comfortable and location is good. If we ever come back to Valladolid we will be coming back to this hotel
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice hotel, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly
- Tony (10/5): Comfortable hotel in a quiet town - The hotel staff were helpful and the room was more than adequate for a two night stay so that we could visit Chichen Itza. Hotel reception helped up get a known local taxi drive who allowed his time for a long morning which allowed us to stop off for a swim and a lovely lunch at Ik Kil Cenote. Its was wonderful and better than most private tours.
- franklyn (8/5): Old Feel Mexico - Hotel had the Colonial decor as it had been a family home at one time. Parking was limited to 4 cars. Mini-fridge, AC and Wi-Fi worked well. Breakfast was basic but got your day started.
Was at least a 15 minute walk to the main historic area. We used our car as we wanted to see other areas of the town and visit the near by cenote.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This is a comfortable and quiet hotel. It is a shot walk from the center of Vallodolid but the street that it is located on is not that pedestrian friendly.
- Fabian (10/5): Nice hotel and close from the down town. - This is a good option to visit Valladolid after or before Chichen Itzá. The staff is very nice and they can tell you many option to visit there like the cenotes... Good and a cheaper option.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved our stay here and would definitely return. The hotel was lovely and the staff was great. We stayed here with our 8 month old daughter and it was perfect.
The only issue was that our flight was delayed and we had to cancel our first night stay with them. Even with a 24 hour notice, we were not given a refund or a discount. We had to pay for that night.
- Brendan (10/5): Great hotel great staff - We enjoyed our stay here . The staff was very helpful, and was walking distance to the bus stop and many restaurants . Would stay again!
- D&D (8/5): Nice clean safe hotel. - Quiet, clean and safe hotel. Fairly close to bus terminal but a good 15 min. Walk to the downtown (which we enjoyed), Also close to major supermarkets for shopping.
Staff were very accommodating.
- Catherine (10/5): - We definitely would stay there again.
- Andy (10/5): Clean and simple - Nice hotel that was very clean. It's a little out of the way but Valladolid is not so big you can be anywhere you need to be in less than 15 minutes on foot. Taxis are everywhere and we never paid more than 40 pesos to get across town. I would recommend this hotel.
- Robert (8/5): Good value for money - Very comfortable and picturesque.
- Noam (10/5): Just a great find - Small-ish hotel in beautiful Valladolid. Not too far from the center, but far enough to be in a quiet area. The parking place is a great bonus.
- Marci (10/5): Loved it - Clean room, comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff, convenient location
- JoAnne (10/5): Convenient comfortable - Were only there for a visit to chichen itza. Convenient for the bus station, centro and Cenote. Quiet and comfortable. Pool small but many in Mexico are, really only for cooling off in. Shower was nice, better than lots but not very hot, in fact only tepid but was sufficient for me. Helpful and English spoken at the front dest. Offer of small breakfast but for the money we went somewhere else.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very friendly Hotel - Perfect place to stay in Valladolid. Employees know the area and have great recommendations of places to visit and places to eat. Rooms were exceptionally clean and included air conditioning.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent place near everything but quiet. Great hot showers!!!
- Elaine (10/5): Pleasant surprise - Very nice hotel with helpful staff
- Andrew (10/5): Stay again for sure! - The staff was super friendly and informative, the hotel was spotlessly clean, parking options were ample, the location is very good...almost great. The Wi-Fi worked very well and the fridge and complimentary water were a nice feature bonus.
I would return and can recommend this property to anyone wishing to travel to Valladolid
- Alexis (8/5): Nice hotel within walking distance to Centro. - Very accommodating staff, lovely, quaint hotel. Recommend.
- Anita (10/5): We will return! - The hotel is excellent. The staff are very accomodating and helpful. Hotel has a nice pool, gardens, sitting areas and dining room. Rooms are very comfortable.
- gloria (6/5): - You get what you pay for
- Sandra (10/5): Nice hotel - Everything was perfect, beautifull and clean hotel, the staff was very friendly
- Heidi (10/5): Quaint hotel with friendly staff! - Beautiful hotel, reasonably priced, and incredibly friendly helpful staff. Pool, AC, and small breakfast included. 15 minute walk from center city and 10 minute walk from bus station.
- rosana (10/5): Excellent - Great Staff
Very clean
With refrigerator for water or food in the bedroom.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Charming and courteous - This place was simple and nice, I would definitely stay again. What really made this a 5/5 was the attentiveness and courtesy of the staff. Noe and Cesar went above and beyond to make sure we were very well taken care of.
- Suzanne (10/5): A charming place to stay - My husband and I recently spent 4 nights here, and it is a delightful place to stay. Noe, the general manager, and Cesar, the afternoon manager, both go out of their way to greet you and help you. The other staff are equally helpful but I didn't get their names. It is a short walk into the center of town and the nearby lavanderia will do a great job washing your clothes. The hotel has a nice colonial feel but the rooms are modern and the beds are very comfortable.
One thing you should know before you book: If you want to pay by credit card, you will be assessed a 5% surcharge. This is explained in the fine print, which I didn't check, but it is something I haven't come across in any other hotel booking.
- Ming (10/5): High price-performance ratio hotel - This hotel provide service that way exceeds our expectation! Worth every penny! The service team is very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. They provide very good exchange rate for USD unlike other tourist attractions. (1:19 compare to 1:15). The bathroom looks modern and is very clean. The shower water volume is beautiful and it provides utilities such as shampoo and soap. The hotel is very quiet and the building is very colonial building style allow you to experience the time when Spanish came occupying this area. Will definitely stay again if visit Valladolid again.
- Pamela (10/5): Excellent stay - Noe, the owner, was a perfect host. He gave us a map and showed us the highlights, including restaurants, which turned out to be wonderful. In the morning, we were asked to stay for a continental breakfast, even though we had not known that was included. We felt at home and cared for in this charming, clean and well-located hotel. Not at all glamorous, but very comfortable and welcoming.
- John (8/5): Nice place, friendly staff, a little ways out - An alright hotel - clean with friendly staff, comfy in terms of beds and rooms, nice inside with pretty courtyard. It is a little ways away from the town square and restaurants, so a little bit of a walk (not too bad). The plus there is that parking is easier. Easy to get to and from when coming into town and leaving. The breakfast is cheap, but very much 'continental' and so recommend elsewhere if you are hungrier.
- Jill (8/5): Good value - Very friendly, helpful and trustworthy staff. Secure parking. We had an inside room and found it quiet. Good value.
- Robert (8/5): Small hotel in west end - The manager spoke some English and another staff member a bit. It was a challenging walk from the bus station with 3 suitcases because the sidewalks were poor. Taxi makes more sense and is cheap. (We only had big bills).
- Rebecca (8/5): Excellent value, outstanding, friendly service - Only a 2 night stay ... Very nice for the price. Area a bit noisy at night, but probably the same if staying in city.
- Robert (8/5): - Nice hotel with friendly, helpful staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hôtel y Nice staff - The hotel is perfect but a good walk to the centro.
- Ken (8/5): Nice hotel - Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and quiet. Would have been nice to have a chair or two to relax in the room rather than being forced to relax in bed or leave the room to sit in the lobby or by the pool. Would stay here again when in Valledaloid.
- Ferdinando (10/5): Fabulous staff - The hotel is in an old colonial house
Great staff and very clean
Would stay there again
Valladolid is truly a gem
If you have time go and see the church in Uayma
- Colin (10/5): Great small hotel in Valladolid - Great small hotel a short walk from main square and restaurants. Reception were particularly friendly and helpful - they helped us secure our tickets for the Chichen Itza light show which is an absolute must! Large room with good fan & air con.
- Jorge (8/5): Great little find! - Great experience in this little town. Full of history.
The staff was very very friendly and accomodating.
They always asked about our day and helpful with suggestions
- Tiffany (10/5): This hotel is an absolute gem! - Great place to stay when checking out Ek Balam, Chichen Itza, Vallodalid, etc.
The owner is so helpful and the hotel is very quaint and comfortable, with very spacious rooms. If you're traveling on a budget, this hotel is also very conveniently located to local supermarkets.
A great find!
- Carlita (8/5): Noe is great - It's a fairly new restaurant and they have a few kinks to work out but the service is great and the room was spacious and nice. The location is a little bit difficult but close to ADO and the Plaza Central.
- Yorke (10/5): - Noe the front desk manager was amazing. He was very helpful with suggestions for places to see and eat. The hotel is run by a family and seems almost new on the inside.
- Edward Alfred (10/5): Great hotel - Great stay and wonder full town. Very safe and delicious food
- BART (10/5): Stylish and well-staffed - Casa Italia was a well-designed and hospitable place. The place had flair, great common areas, including a pool and back yard. Everyone spoke excellent English. Breakfast was very good; we enjoyed it in the back yard.
- joel (10/5): - Staff was very nice. Hotel was clean and comfortable
- Enora (10/5): Pleasant stay - Really nice staff
Closed parking
10 min by walking to the center in a safe area
- Verified traveler (10/5): 4.5 - Staff service was professional and great. Room is very clean. The hotel has a little nice garden.
- Jim (10/5): Nice hotel - Within walking distance of the square, the convent and the cenote. We just parked in front, curbside. Bathroom small but adequate. Clean sheets, comfortable beds.
