• Kelsey (7/5): Pretty good little stay. - Hotel was quiet at night. Beds were comfy. Pillows were very flat and lumpy.

• Brian (3/5): Housekeeping needs to be better. - The mattress pad was terribly stained with who knows what. I couldn’t sleep in the bed with thoughts of what could’ve caused such a horrible stain. It should’ve been thrown away. I took pictures to show the clerk when we checked out the next morning, but no one was at the counter For a while so we just left. I wouldn’t recommend this place to stay.
• Molly (3/5): Deferred maintenance - The front desk attendant is the only positive at this property. I hope guests don’t take their frustrations with the property out on her. Facility is severely understaffed with the front desk attendant doing everything. The owner is not keeping up the property and it is in poor condition/neglected. I requested a refund well in advance for our last night and requested an email confirmation. No refund, no email. It has been several days. WiFi was “always down”, no breakfast.

• Reynolds (2/5): Very disappointed in my stay, my room did not match what I booked. - It was at least clean. I had a double queen room booked and when we arrived the room I had booked was unavailable. The only thing left was a single queen room. The rooms were very outdated, the towels and pillows very small and the bed uncomfortably. There is no security lock on the door or ground level windows. I would not feel safe staying alone here.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - If all you want is a bed, this is the cheapest option in town. Bathroom sink was clogged. Microwave was missing the plate that rotates. Very limited channels on TV. I'm not too picky, and all I really needed was a place to lay down. I took the $40 bucks I saved and went out for an evening meal.

• Gary (2/5): - We arrived at the property and there was a message to phone a number for the desk clerk to arrive. No one came so we could not check in. Had to go to another motel.Waited 40 minutes.
• Tina (2/5): - Try checking g in at 8pm. They sent us to a room with no number on it. Door wa hard to open and room smelled like smoke. When back ask for a non smocking room that we booked. Made us wait another 15 minutes so they could clean a room. Most of the doors were open with rooms that had not been clean. Don’t go there !
• Linda (2/5): - I arrived @ 3:15, check in was 3 o’clock. There was nobody @ the desk, so we push the button that said “ring for service” and waited 15 minutes, pushed the button again, nothing. Called the hotel and left a message to call me when I could check in. Walked the halls and heard “there’s someone waiting to check in.” Response was “Leave me alone, I’m taking a shower.” Left and got something to eat and returned 1.5 hours later. Miss thing had taken her shower but not ready to work. I asked if I could check in and was told her Expedia account was just canceled so I would have to go down the street. The hotel down the street smelled so much better and was way friendlier. Charges to my card will be disputed!
• Donna (2/5): - Room was uninhabitable; was told door sticks , but was being repaired, also needs shower curtain replaced and housekeeping would take care of this. We checked in and went to drop off bags- confusion in finding room 220, numbers were removed from door; door in disrepair and frame needing completely replaced. No towels, no soap- shower curtain ripped off rod. No curtain or curtain rod on the window in the room. Left to go to town event and returned around 10:30 pm, key would not open door, went to desk and no desk clerk available- supposed to be at desk until 11:30 pm. Many customers with other problems, kept ringing bell, no one showed up- made phone call left message that we were unable to get into the room. Never heard back from anyone!

• Ken (4/5): This is a really bad hotel. - The staff. The hotel is in really bad shape. I would camp in a tent before returning there.
• Jason (6/5): Older hotel in need of an update and more staff - Arrived after 7 pm and the room was not ready. It was apparently due to lack of staff and the hotel being slammed the night before. The hotel is dated and in serious need of an update/ remodel. The A/C unit worked poorly and it took over 5 hours to cool down the room. The staff, especially the manager, Lisa, were very friendly and apologetic for the room delay.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Would not recommend - The reason I’m giving this a 2-stars is because of the service I received the day I arrived from Brynn. She was at the front desk and super helpful when our room had issues. She deserves a raise because of all she was doing with a smile on her face. You would think that ownership and management would make sure this motel was prepared for an influx of people by checking rooms and making sure they had people working. It appears they were not prepared. Upon arrival, check in was fine but once we got to our room there were issues. There was no TV, no trash can, only 2 bath towels, and our door wouldn’t shut without absolutely slamming it. The items that were missing were eventually brought to us after a few times of asking. The curtains have holes in the back of them and you can only open them by taking one of the pleat hooks off (see picture). There are only outlets on one side both of the bed so only 1 lamp nearby and no other place to plug in a phone to charge. The bathroom had multiple stains on the ceiling tiles and tons of places you could tell had been patched. On the first night, we discovered after slamming our door shut that we couldn’t even lock the deadbolt for the night. So we had to put a chair under the doorknob to provide a little bit of extra comfort/safety. Another night we arrived back at our hotel and had issues getting our door open. I went to the front desk and no one was there to assist even after using a call bell.

I was turned away with absolutely no help and no where to stay in such a small town. The woman appeared scared and untrained. Hotels.com called the property and no one was able to give them any information on the billing and if I would be charged or refunded. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible.

Then she proceeded to let us know that there computer is not working, but there was not a computer at the check-in desk. The lobby was unkept and dirty.
• Climber63098444661 (2/5): Worst experience ever - We had a reservation thru Booking.com and had received confirmation from the property plus an assurance that we would have a ground floor room. When we arrived about 5:00 P.M. we found a deserted lobby with a note on the desk that said, "Desk closed. Will reopen at 6:00 A.M. We tried to call the Inn's phone number and got no answer. A young man appeared and asked if we were trying to check in. He didn't know anything about the process and even after we showed him our printed reservation he just mumbled and ran in and out, made a couple of phone calls and then disappeared. A woman, named Brynn, appeared and appeared to be drunk, or high, and after mumbling and rambling she finally said to tell Booking.com not to charge us. At that point we just called and found a room at another motel.
• Vera (2/5): - We waited 30 minutes for staff to show up, only to be told there were no clean rooms. We looked around for assistance and saw the kitchen area full of dirty dishes. We cancelled along with another family with the same problem. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
• Marden (1/5): A property that has no business operating. - Nothing!!!! Everything!!! We arrived at 5:00 P.M. to find a note on lobby desk saying ""We are closed and will open tomorrow at 6:00 A.M." We tried calling their number and nothing. Finally, a teenage boy appeared and asked if we were trying to check in. We showed him our printed confirmation and an email we got several weeks ago confirming they were saving a first-floor room for us. It was obvious he knew nothing about what was happening. He made some phone calls and still could not tell us anything. Finally, an older woman, named Brynn, appeared but was either drunk or high. She could not tell us anything except to tell you (Booking.com) not to charge us any fees. At that point we called another motel and got a room there. It was a very bad experience and this property should not be allowed to operate and at the least you should not handle any bookings for them.

No where in the email says to check in at 7pm. They were cleaning in preparation for next week concert. No information for wifi code. She wasn't at the desk when I hit the doorbell. Wifi info should be in the room or.in the keychain.. Nothing mentioned Will not go back.

Room was clean and beds comfortable. Lisa at front desk was sweetest and friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place.

• Huff (1/5): Find another place to stay - There were no cups, ice basket, garbage can. We were given keys that did not fit our door and we locked ourselves out of our room. There was no one to help us ever. We took the handful of keys and found another key to our room that worked…do there is s security issue as well. Doors to bldg were wide open and no staff to monitor them.

• Brenda (2/5): - The door lock was broken, no anti-slip mats or grab bars in the tub. There were only 2 bathtowels, one hand towel and no washcloths. The TV didn't work, there were no chairs in the room and the the curtains were too old and thin to block out the light. I was told the button on the counter would summon somebody ANYTIME of the day or night, but I never saw anybody after check-in, so I couldn't,'t let them know we decided not to stay another night. Another gentleman was trying to check in as we were leaving, and he finally gave up and left. I believe we should have been given a refund for the second night, but the hotel said no. NEVER AGAIN!! 😡
• Verified traveler (4/5): - I had locked my door to leave. When I came back my door was unlocked and some of my property was moved around in the room. They claimed it was their room service maids but the bed was still not made and all the pillows/sheets/blankets were exactly how I left them. They also put me in a room with a smaller bed and less accommodations than I had payed for and offered no refund for the original price. I ended up paying the price for a king size bed room when instead they had moved my pregnant wife, my dog, and I into a twin size bedroom. They also offered no proper body wash or shampoo for the showers. The shower drain was plugged and the tub kept holding water even without the drain plug in. The towels we received were also dirty and one of them had old human feces on them from someone wiping their ass with. The bathroom fan did not work either. The kitchenette that they had there was extremely dirty with old nasty dishes and food still in them that were clearly a few days old. I 100% do not recommend this place.

• LeAnna (4/5): - It was unfortunate, but apparently 2 housekeepers walked out the day before our stay. We came to check in at check-in time, told no rooms we ready and to come back in 2 hours. We did, needed to wait 20 more minutes. Had to come back and forth to the room 3 times before I got the right key to get into the room. Knob did lock, deadbolt was broken. Really run down place. Our room had basic cleanliness. Ice maker in the lobby was the best ever. Ground level window in our room with a huge crack, curtains full of holes. There was never a person at the desk, you had to call a listed personal cell to check in, ask a question, etc. Community kitchen area with fresh coffee 1st morning, 2nd morning nothing. Microwave in communal kitchen area gross. The manager apparently just took over and was handed a mess on a busy travel weekend. Where was the owner? How could they just leave her there to deal with a sold out motel with all rooms booked and staff who walked out?

• Huntington (2/5): Convenient location for my travel schedule, but i will definitely make other arrangements in the fut - it wasn't ready when i left They shut off the cold water to the room about 4 AM and the toilet would not flush. They charged me twice for the room, $71.93 on 5/6 when i checked in and then again on 5/7 when i checked out. When i got my statement, i called and was promised a refund for one of the charges, but nothing as yet.
• Mayer (1/5): Stayed in motel down the road I would advise that everyone should do the same. - That booking.com filed a clam to refund me for a room that I didn’t cancel but refused to stay in because the whole establishment was filthy and nasty. Show up for check in had to wait 30 minutes for them to clean it. Stains on the floor, walls and bead spread. Whole place smells and nasty. Refused stay and had to file a claim so they wouldn’t charge me for a no refundable cancellation.

The mattresses on the beds are quite old. Not very comfortable. Everything was clean. An OK place to stay for a night, but keep expectations on the lower side.

Their little son was quite pleasant Top blanket was pulled up and sheets were shoved down under top blanket (yikes ) towels were extremely stained( they said firefighters used them & no amount of bleaching would clean them (,tub & sink still had scum in them , it’s 3 floors & each floor cost $10.00 more hmm never saw that coming !!! I would discourage others from going there! It was late & didn’t have other choices of places to stay !

The beds were comfy and pillows were good though and the gal at the front was so nice and sweet.

They charged $20 per dog (2 dogs) even though they list a $20 pet fee on the wall behind the check in desk, not per pet. Still items in the fridge, so they obviously didn't clean thoroughly.

• Scott (3/5): It will do in a pinch. - The people running the property are very nice and their kids are cute. The towels and linens were clean. Good location if you are visiting Challis, Idaho. The property is not in the best shape. There is a lot of deferred maintenance.

• Twyla (10/5): - Very nice Management are there to help whatever you need.
• David (6/5): - The property was very dated and need of repair. It lacked any real eating facilities. The staff was new and did their best to accommodate us.
• Donella (1/5): Bad - Sketchy looking people outside…nobody working inside. We were told it was closed because the manager was mad.

• Deborah (3/5): Rooms needed a lot of help! - Honestly, there wasn't anything too impressive. Rooms were unclean and nasty! Curtains didn't fit on windows and no screen. A/C was broken, and we were charged to change rooms.
