• Yeli (1/5): Fatal - Nothing I submitted a request to the hotel to cancel the last day of my stay, but they never responded to my request. When I arrived to check in, the guy at the front desk charged me for the entire stay, completely ignoring my request to remove one day from my reservation. When I realized he had charged me the full amount, he informed me that they would refund the money within two days—something that never happened. Five days have already passed; I messaged the hotel, and they are not responding! The location is horrible and dangerous; the pool was always closed, and during the three days I was there, they never cleaned the room! Very poor customer care and service.

• Jodi (7/5): Very basic but clean and comfortable. - Location was great. Check in girl was friendly. No coffee in room or in lobby, which didn't open until 8:30 a.m. according to the sign. No blow dryer. No lamp or bedside table. No coffee maker. Did I mention that?
• Felicia525 (2/5): Cons out weigh the pros. - We chose this property because it was right at the end of the edge of the town and practically right across the street, from the hot pools, which is what we were there for. Now, from the photos of the motel, we weren't expecting high end luxury of course, but we were expecting clean. We booked one room with 2 queen bed for my boys, and one king's suite for my husband and I. While we were in our rooms I woul not let my kids walk around barefoot in their room and we wouldn't either in ours. This place needs major updates. Our sheets looked like they had been slept in already by another and their pet. When we lifted our comforter to get into bed, that was hair already, long black hair and short black pet hair. The restroom had no socket in order to blow dry my hair. They do offer complementary wifi, but once we reached our roomt the wifi signal is not strong enough. It was basically reading that we have no connection. When we turn the showers on in both bedrooms, it would make a very high-pitched squeel the whole time and the amount of hot water you get is very limited. My parents asked me to check out the R.V. part of this location. It's no surprise, I wasn't impressed, the trash piled high up around the dumpsters and rodents digging through it. Not to mention, there was cigarette butts everywhere. Our rooms also smelled like cigarette.

I got up after two hours took a not nice shower and got in my jeep. You couldn't even close the curtains all the way do not recommend. They do not care about this property at all.

It is close to the river, the hot springs, and all the things of Lava. We came in two cars, and were able to park them both in front of our room, but some people had to double park. (It was a busy weekend)

The young man at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. The room next to us had a group of teenagers that were hanging out outside their room. They were so loud late at night.

I’ve stayed in much nicer hotels for a lot less money. For what they charge the rooms should be updated and a whole lot nicer.

• misty (8/5): - This property is right across from the hot pools in Lava, so location is prime. We had a huge leak in our room when we showered, enough that the carpet got sloshy. There were box elder bugs everywhere. There is no place to plug in USB cords for charging phones, watches, etc. The office doesn't open until 8:00 am so there was no coffee for the first couple of hours when we woke up. The air conditioner didn't work, it would kick on for a few seconds and then go off so it got very humid and hot in there.

It would be nice if there was coffee in the room. I did see a coffee pot in the lobby, but we were on the road before the lobby opened; the diesel truck out front needed to warm up from 5:30am-6am, so we were awake!!
• Kallie (10/5): It was a nice weekend get away with laughs and adventures floating the river. - We love the location. Although at the end of town, it still doesn't take too long to walk to any attractions.
• Arasu (8/5): - The staff here make this otherwise average property shine. Going out of their way to be helpful. Positives are being right across the hot springs pool, quiet, single level, well kept surroundings, instant good quality hot and cold water in the bathroom and responsive staff. Negatives include that its old, walls are peeling off, carpets are old, AC was too loud, TV didn't work, no in room coffee, outlets are not easily accessible to charge phones, bathrooms are small and parking is limited/tight. The parking lines need to be re-drawn to reduce dead space.
• JOYCE (6/5): - We got a message from the desk attendant at about 9 pm saying they would pre-register us. When we arrived at 10:30 pm the office was closed and we couldn’t get our room key. Apparently the office closed at 10:00 pm. We were not notified ahead of time that we needed to check in prior to 10 pm. There was a night bell to ring, but no one responded. We called the phone number from the earlier message and got no response. We continued trying to get a response until 11:00 and finally left. A few minutes after we left, the desk attendant returned our call and met us in the office to get us the key. We were then told we were lucky they didn’t give our room to someone else. Very poor communication!
• Susan (2/5): - We stayed twice - first room was amazingly in need of a re-do with extreme cracks in walls and tub that didn’t drain well. Hands down the nastiest hotel room I’ve stayed in. We had to call the phone number because the front desk didn’t open at 8:00 a.m. We thought, okay… this is dog friendly in Idaho. Second time in different room - the television didn’t work and the shower didn’t work. At 9 a.m. the front office still wasn’t open so we left the key in the box and left. Won’t do it again and will stay elsewhere and suggest to others to do the same as we are traveling through.

• Savannah (4/5): - A lot of people seem to like how close this property is to everything, but Lava really is not that big to begin with, so it really isn't a unique perk. The hotel is super rundown and in serious need of renovations. The walls were peeling/warped/water-damaged. The carpet was so old and dirty (my socks got dirty from walking around). There was visible water damage throughout the bathroom. There's hardly any parking. Our boxspring had a really obnoxious plastic wrap on it that 1) gave criminal tv show vibes 2) was really loud to sleep on. The beds were fine, not overly comfortable or uncomfortable. It was really expensive for what you get here (like 0 ammentities), and I wouldn't stay here again.

• Andrew (1/5): Rude Staff, Horrific & Disgusting! - We didn’t like anything about this hotel. The staff were extremely rude from the start and even more rude when we brought up the following concerns. They placed us into a dog friendly room. As soon as you open the door a wave of dog piss smell overtakes you. The entire room reeked of pee. The bathroom had a pair of underwear left behind. Stains on the sheets. Carpet filthy. Bathroom disgusting. Dirty drains, cracked walls and tons of damage to the room. The AC didn’t work at all and when we went to open the windows, one was broken and taped back together and the other had no screen. So it was let in bugs or overheat. Do yourself a favor, if you want an adults only, dog friendly, incredible place, stay at the Riverside Inn instead. Light years beyond this horrific motel.

The bath tub was dirty, there was an ant trap on the floor and the towel bar was hanging out of the wall. The walls were also dirty and in need of paint. The veneer on the head board was coming off and all the furniture was well used and appears to have been purchased at a garage sale. It was a neat spot, but sadly, it's no longer cared for.

The room can also use some additional outlets in the since most were used up by the appliances - fridge, microwave, TV, and TV accessories. There is no coffee pot in the room and the front office doesn't open until 8:30 with coffee. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner and hair dryer. On the plus side, the rooms are spacious, good tv selection, hot showers and the beds are comfy. Also the hotel is conveniently located across the street from the famous Lava Hot Springs facility. The facilities manager was very accommodating and was able to help us in our late arrival to the motel. It's not fancy but it's suited our needs.

• Trail33698191248 (2/5): Crappy crappy crappy! - This place is a freaking joke! I just pulled the bedspread down and found ants. Then tried to plug in my accessory and no plug by the bed—it was an extension cord UNDER the bed. Best of all—tried to flush the toilet 4 times but nothing happened. The manager came over to look at it and just stood there looking like a stupid moron. I asked for my money back and he refused—said the best he could do was put me in another crappy room. What a freaking joke! I have traveled the world and had better accommodations in third world countries for 1/3 the cost. Motel 6 would be half the price and twice the room. Ugh. DON’T stay here!!!!

• Verified traveler (4/5): Too Much Money For What We Got - Parking was limited so we had to park down the road. Our room was very outdated with furnishings that were chipped, peeled, watermarked, and stained. The carpet was old and stained and the wall had bubbled paint from possibly a leak from the shower on the other side of the wall. The bathroom didn’t have any soap or shampoo so we had to drive to the nearest gas station and purchase some since we didn’t take any with us. All the pictures posted looks very deceiving and nothing like what we saw in person, at least for our room.
