Guest Reviews
- Maria (10/5): - Great simple motel with everything you need; staff (owner?) very nice and accommodating!
Thank you!
- aldo (2/5): Disgusting. - Absolutely disgusting. Sheets were dirty, the water smelled, The knobs on the ac were broken. The lock to the front door was broken. Disgusting experience. I actually slept in my sleeping back on top of the bed.
- Margaret (10/5): Great place for no frills & good sleep - Great price for a good sleep. I don't mind that it's a no frills accommodation. Clean room with AC, heat, shower or tub. đđđ
- Pamela (2/5): - I would never come back here. AC doesnât work not clean no coffee maker. Only one electrical socket works.
Canât wait to get out of here
- Elaine (4/5): - Mid-July and AC didn't work. Carpet was disgusting, mattress too soft, pillows lumpy, no extra pillows, shower curtain was a tangled mess. Very little toilet paper left on only roll in room, only 2 bath towels, no hand towels, no washcloths. No convenient power outlets. Parking lot was a field of broken concrete. No visible ice machine. Door was not secure.
- Gary (6/5): - it was okay but won't be back
- Norma (2/5): - The staff sent me a very nice message letting me know there was no room at the in. I contacted both the establishment and Expedia to inform them of this. I hope I am not charged.
- Yessica (2/5): - Las toallas y sabanas sucias que tenia que pedir que cambien. No recomendable
- Doug (4/5): Disappointing - Dirty sheets on the floor. Vacuum cleaner inside the room. Stains on carpet.
Bed uncomfortable. Only one blanket.
No room key provided. We have stayed here before, but will not choose it again.
- Akhil (4/5): - While I really appreciate the check-in time of 2:30 AM, the room wasnât made properly, it sure if it was even cleaned. One bed was not made at all. The pillow was dirty as hell. There was no towel or soap. Could be better prepared for guests.
- glen (10/5): - Loved the location and everything about staying there. Not a fan of overpriced big hotels then this is your place.
- Patsy (10/5): Good ratings. - Room was clean, bed was mostly comfortable. Motel is old but in good shape. Really no complaints. Excellent room for the great price.
- Darlene (10/5): - Got in a bit late, manager was very nice and accommodating. Beds comfy.
- MaryJane (10/5): - There really nice and i really like it there i woukd stay again
- Brenda (10/5): - If you like an retro expereince, this motel fits the bill! If you would prefer everything looking new, this place is not for you. I love the retro feel and comfort of the drive right to the door, old time motel. Also, whenever I stop, the staff is so very friendly and helpful. Beds are comfy and I get a great night sleep every night. If my trip takes me by Heyburn and the time is right, I choose Tops Motel each time.
- JUDITH (4/5): - No one in office for check in.Holes in carpet, sheets stained, one towel and one washcloth for 2 people,no way to regulate heat and air.
- Fernando (2/5): - They did not have any reservation under my name. No room available. I left at 10 pm to find other place.
- Brent (2/5): - A lot of bed bugs. Woke up covered in bites.
- Pamela (8/5): - I liked that it was clean, comfortable and quiet
- Cindy (4/5): - We would have loved to stay the night but no one was at the office when we arrived. We had messaged we would be in late. We had driven 18 hours. We called and rang the bell but nobody answered. We have up and went to the truck stop and slept in the car.
- juan (10/5): - super good
- Rebecca (6/5): Clean but would not return. - Low budget motel. Strong potpourri scent. A/C only sort of worked. Clean, no frills.
Biggest issue is the woman tried to charge more than what we had reserved online for.
Warning Train blows whistle throughout the night. Not motels fault but does make sleeping extremely difficult.
- Aaron (8/5): Good value for the money. - Quite, clean.
- Kenneth (8/5): Good place to stay if you just need a place to sle -
Older motel but clean and in fairly good shape
- Robert (10/5): - Very helpful and friendly front desk.
- Rory (10/5): Money Saver - For the cheap price it worked for our budget and stay
- Guojun (6/5): - The location is convenient, and good for taking a break during long trip.
The facility is old, and water is untreated, but it is ok for taking short rest.
- Thayne (10/5): Tops is the tops - Nice and cozy. My stay was quiet and restful. I would definitely stay again.
Friendly staff and helpful.
- David (8/5): Its great for the money - Very clean but didn't have enough toilet paper also would have liked a coffee pot
- Kenneth (4/5): - Dirty! Hair in the bed and shower and there may have been blood on one of the box springs. I know it was a $60 room but come on try a little harder
- Rose (10/5): - Great value. Very nice staff. Quiet room.
- Steve (8/5): - Older motel but very clean in side and quiet đ
- Luis (10/5): - very clean and comfortable.
- karin (8/5): - Ok
- SUSAN (8/5): Rest for the night - This is a no frill motel. The price was low, so that was good. It gave you the Bare minimum. It did have a big area to walk our dogs which was nice after a long drive. Microwave was cracked on exterior & freeze was hanging down in fridge. It was clean and no bad smells. It was fine for just getting rest after a long drive. Didnât use shower so canât rate that.?
- Jana (8/5): Traveling with pet - Room was clean and as expected
Just need a couple upgrades but things were good đ
- Shannon (2/5): - It was awful it stank the Flys wouldn't leave you alone. The shower water also had a sewerage smell to it. There was a bra left in the bathroom and people hanging outside.
- Donald (10/5): - The check in attendent was very cordial, and sweet.
The place is dated, but extra clean, and a great value! Honestly, we've paid twice as much for nothing more than this place offers.
- Jonathan (10/5): Great Mid-Way Stop! - Thank you to Tops for having an affordable destination midway between Colorado and Seattle.
No complaints from me. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the price was right. I am a heavy sleeper, but if you are a light sleeper, the ambient noise from the nearby road & train track might be a factor.
- Timothy (8/5): - On a trip. Room was good. Older hotel, but clean. Close to the freeway and other services. Lower cost place to stop for the night while traveling north.
- Greg (8/5): - This hotel was clean and very affordable. It was quiet and plenty of parking. I would stay here again!
- Karen (4/5): - The manager was very nice. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, there was a musty dampness to the room that if you didn't notice that it was clean, one might think the place was filthy. The water smelled bad, as well.
- Wes (10/5): - We had a nice room and comfortable stay. It was easy access to our room and to get to the hotel.
My only concern is that when my husband took a shower and it set off the smoke alarm.
- Brent (4/5): - Had a loud floor fan running in our room with wet carpet.
The door barely locked and had a large gap under it that allowed the wind to blow in. TV had no sound. Would not stay here again.
- Marvin (8/5): - Very pleasant a at check-in even though I was a little early. The main room was clean, the bathroom was clean, but i did see an earwig and the towel had strings all over it and a long black hair and the bath tub is slippery needs more anti-slip strips. So in closing you get what you pay for.
- RONALD (6/5): - This is an old hotel but was clean and the beds were comfortable. We were told by the diner staff next door that was recommended by the motel that they sometimes have problems at the motel. I was awaken twice during the night by noises so I looked out the window and saw nothing so went back to bed. Not sure I would stay there again due to some scary looking people in the vicinity.
- KENDRA (8/5): - The lady at front desk super nice and welcoming
- anne-marie (10/5): - Clean, outside outlet for my charger. Fridge & microwave
- Aganetha (10/5): - The staff was nice but the room was dirty
- Cathy (6/5): - Clean room and a very comfortable bed. Very basic. No fridge, microwave or coffee maker. Room wasn't stocked, no toilet paper or towels but staff nice about getting them. Curtains did not block the light and the area has a bad smells.
- Janeene (8/5): - comfortable beds
- Randy (10/5): Clean and quiet - The room was perfect for me.
Thanks
- Crystal (2/5): - The front desk guy was great. The doors to the outside locked with a key and chain. A little kick would knock down the door. The sheets we not washed, stains. Hair on pillows. Sheets and blankets had "red" stains. No light bulbs in lamps. Toilet leaked. Towels looked cleaned but we used only the packaged soap to wash face. So much wrong with this dive...we got there late slept for a few hours in our clothes on top of our coats and left. Traveling from West coast to East coast.
- Lawrence (8/5): - Clean. Shower water could have been a little more plentiful. Leftover pot pie in the microwave. Heat a big slow. Ok for an inexpensive motel.
- Karen (4/5): - The beds were not clean; some hair, blood spots and bugs on the sheets. Used towel hanging in the bathroom. We left and rented a room elsewhere.
- KEVIN (6/5): - An older family run motel far enough off the interstate to be quiet. Not modern by any means, but clean and comfortable.
- David (2/5): - Staff wasnât friendly. Dead flies all over the room. Hair and dirt in the bed. Front desk was closed when we arrived at 10 pm and we woke them up. Bad smell. Left and went down the road to another hotel.
- Debbie (4/5): - First room smelled of vomit. Manager acted surprised. Second room shower controls fell apart. Towels thread bare, i wouldn't even use them as rags.
- Sonia (8/5): All the basics - Definite improvements to the property, quick check-in, everything in working order
- Verified traveler (2/5): - They didnât have my reservation made through Hotels.com
- Timothy (8/5): - Older hotel. Fairly clean inside, with adequate furnishings. Just what I was looking for, something low priced, no extra amenities to pay for, clean room, good bed and a shower. Just passing through and needed a place to sleep and recharge. The manager was helpful and responsive.
- James (6/5): - Just what we needed..............a clean place for an overnight stay, before getting back on the road.
- Vitally (8/5): - This place has very comfortable beds and the price is excellent! The Wayside Cafe next door has great food. TV was good, fridge worked. The bathroom was old and held together with caulking. We managed to get clean, however. So, if you want an inexpensive place to get a good night's sleep in the comfortable bed, stay here. If you can look past the bathroom which works even though it looks nasty, this place is great as a quick stop.
- Kurt (10/5): - This was the most amazing privately owned little motel I have ever stayed at. The owners really take pride in their property.
- Mark (2/5): - The place didn't even have its name on a sigh,I had to go in and ask if it was the Tops Motel , there was no bath towels I had to use a bath matt and,the worst !
- Kit (6/5): - Grass area in the backyard
- Wayne (2/5): - It was dirty and unkept. The toilet was filthy, a pillow lacked a pillow case and was torn with stuffing showing, lights were missing, and the office non responsive. We attended a funeral while in the area and everyone said the motel is a drug hangout. I wouldnât recommend it to anyone.
- le (4/5): - Supposed to be nonsmoking but room is reeks with smoke orders. Sink is clogged. Room is filthy. Tv remote doesnât sync with tv. Next to train track. Train goes by twice overnight. Noisy from others guests. You pretty much get what you pay for.
- Christian (8/5): Great stay - Had to stay closer to work and they were friendly and accommodating
- Anthony (6/5): - Affordable.
- Matthew (4/5): - Would have been better if there wasnt an employee working on the room next to me hammering away and banging around until a little after 10 at night when I had to get up at 4am
- Sandra (10/5): - Pretty good
- Aaron (6/5): - Good stay but no coffee
- Jeremy (6/5): - Staff was nice, and the place was clean. I was double charged. called to let the manager know and itâs been a week and I still havenât been refunded.
- Vickie (4/5): - The manager was so kind and accommodating. She was awesome. Part of the motel is filled with full time monthly renters. Some were fine but some were just a bit sketchy. Some crazy woman tapping in the window asking for cigarettes all night long. Lots of road noise which is normal for roadside motels. Very old but kinda quaint. Seems clean enough.
- Yvonne (8/5): - When checking out I told owner I was overcharged for 2nd night and there was no offer to correct it. The stay was nice and all but no offer to fix it left a small sour taste to the visit.
- Heather (4/5): - The motel has easy access to I-84. It was as pictured, but upon closer inspection was not super clean. I guess "frayed and very worn around the edges" would be a good description.
The first room we were assigned was occupied; the 2nd room had major electrical issues. The 3rd room was nicer-everything worked and it did seem cleaner/newer, perhaps. The staff were friendly and did what they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
- Bryan (8/5): - Older style motel that I prefer, where you can park right in front of your room. Not new, and not fancy. Great service, clean and we'll maintained. Negatives where that is next to a busy road, and next to active train tracks, and the water smelled like rotten eggs.
- Gregory (10/5): - I stayed five nights. Staff was friendly. The room was good for my needs. The location was good
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Booked the 2 rooms around 3:45 pm with confirmation code sent from Orbitz, but somehow got a message around 8:45 pm said - no room available, thst is really rediduous, it turned out that we have to look around another hotel in the middle of the night. I think that I need an explanation from Otbitz.

- Randy (8/5): Another good night. - This motel is an older building but the room was spacious and very clean. Everything worked well and it was great value. A basic room that was a quiet and comfortable . Would definitely stay here again. If your hungry try the restaurant close by with the big Eat sign, good country food.
- Aloma (2/5): Sold My Room to Someone Else - Got there at 11pm and they turned me away! Even though I had a confirmed reservation through hotels.com, they sold the room out from under me and did not have any other rooms available (said they were "sold out"). What a terrible experience, especially when you are tired and expecting a bed. I had to sleep in my truck.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Felt safe and close to restaurant.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - When I arrived she told me she had forgotten I was coming though she had me in her book of reservations. She had no rooms available. She called another hotel in Burley, I'd and I went there. It was at the Budget Motel and was very nice but was about $30 more a night which I had to pay. I would not make another reservation again at Tops

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Simple maintenance is neglected. Electrical: missing switch cover plate in bathroom. Missing cover plate and dangling receptacle for AC unit. Security: safety chain attached by only one screw on jamb, only 2 screws on the door.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The odor of air freshener was overwhelming. Carpet had faint smell of urine. Freezing cold and air conditioner difficult to operate. No cups. Did not stay, left at 9:00 p.m.
- Verified traveler (6/5): One Night Only - A/C was working. Uncomfortable bed. Very noisy (barking dog and train whistle)
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I booked a room in the morning - 4 were listed as available. That afternoon while driving I received a call stating the room was no longer available but I could pay more for a double. I agreed to this change and hung up. After more than 12 hours of driving I arrive at the hotel. They have no rooms available and I was left trying to find a room at 10:30PM. I was told I could wait for 30 min for the property manager to arrive. I ended up having to book a room at another hotel at more than twice the price. Nothing was done to amend the situation
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bad experience
- Verified traveler (4/5): - No toilet paper or bath towel was provided. The washcloths and hand towels had a few hairs in them, but were clean. Same with bed sheets.
AC barely worked, and mostly just blew slightly cooler air than the room temp. Took hours to cool.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The none smoking room smelled like smoke. No coffee maker or cups
- Stanford (10/5): - Older place but clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Decent Motel - Worn, but tidy. No major cleanliness issues, would stay again no problem.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good place to spend a night while on the road. Would stay again!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Average accommodations; no Covid precautions - The room was average but comfortable. The office staff was friendly, but gave zero regard to Covid precautions (wore no mask did not have sanitizer available). I would not recommend this hotel during the Covid pandemic.
- Me (4/5): - The room was stinky, broken outlet near the sink so wife couldn't use hair dryer and curling iron. Also potetially dangerous. They didn't have my reservation upon arrival. They said they would take my word for it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - great people price and room
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It's not a top notch place, but it's clean, it's affordable, and the lady who runs it is super nice and accommodating..
- Medved (10/5): - It was clean and homey. I enjoined my stay At this motel
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room smelled bad. Gabage under the bed. Areas in room not wipe down. Bathroom sink would'nt drain.
