• Shelley (10/5): Thankful to the staff, Mohamed and always a pleasure to stay at Candlewood. - I like how Candlewood’s location and the beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious. The staff are receptive, helpful and know their returning guests. I am always treated very well and highly recommend this hotel stay. Parking is an issue.

The hot tub was not working, we did let them know. May have to do a long stay in Edmonton next month, and may look at staying there again.

It was spacious, loved the size of the bathroom and the walk in closet to put our shoes/coats/luggage in. The heated underground parking. Just that they didn’t advertise that their swimming pool was under maintenance/construction. However, another hotel was allowing us to walk to theirs and use it. Not very ideal when you have to walk out in the cold. But we are grateful that there was an opportunity to still go swimming.

Underground parking is a bonus in the winter time. - Breakfast was good, it would be nice to include the cost in the stay instead of an extra fee. Underground parking is nice to have for warmth and security. We have stayed before because of large rooms and kitchenette. The cleanliness in the washroom was mid - lots of dust on the light fixtures and fan cover. The heat wasn't working properly - either freezing or inferno. No in between.

It’s in walking distance to the home fire restaurant which is amazing. Hotel has underground parking for those cold winter nights and hot summer days. • Brian (10/5): - Our favourite hotel. We came a few hours early from the road but because i had a horribel migraine they found us a different room on the first floor. A little smaller than what we booked but the timing was very needed and appreciated. We think they actually rushed the room for us because the cleaner did miss a couple of areas but we were so releived to be off the road that it wasnt a big deal for us to wipe a couple of things down. Still a very loved spot for us. Thanks guys!

It was very clean and the room was cool. Whoever was staying above us was very loud and I couldn’t get a good sleep. They were banging around until about 1 am. No one asked me how my stay was when I checked out, I wanted to say something. Also there was no lotion or bathroom garbage can.

The pillows are awesome too. Highly recommend especially for the low price. It’s a really underrated hotel.

• 882chucks (8/5): - My family stayed at this property for 16 nights while our house was repaired. Since our kids were older we had two rooms, a King Suite and a two Queen room. For the tourist this is a quick drive to West Edmonton Mall. Behind the hotel is a WalMart (handy for filling the fridge) and several fast food options that are all within walking distance. The hotel does have underground parking that has a 6.5' clearance. The good; The staff are very friendly. Even the housekeeping staff who don't speak English well always had a smile on their face as you tried to request extra trash bags if you ran into them on their rounds. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, especially the bed. I've slept in hotels that charged triple and didn't have beds this comfortable. The shades blocked out the early/late sun (for summer stays), and the day blinds allowed for natural light while maintaining privacy. The bathroom was a good size with a nice walk-in shower. Toiletries are provided in a locked, wall-mounted dispenser. Environmentally friendly, without worrying about a previous guest's misuse of the product. There are free washer and dryer units that have timers on them. For a $150 fee we were able to bring our Staffy. The "not the best"; The work desk is built over the AC unit. It keeps the main room cool but many times I had to shut it down because my legs were freezing. There's no light in the dining area. Even turning on the LR and kitchen lights it was still dark even at 6 pm. The shower could use a wand. The pressure was good but the head only moved so much. Finally, the main entrance has a little "patio" section that contains two grills. This is also where people go to enjoy the outdoor temps while consuming alcohol and smoking both cigarettes and "natural" herbs. Not a great look for the entrance to a family property. One of the groups got a bit too noisy at 2 am.

Perfect for long stays, we stayed for 10 days while visiting Alberta. The 24/7 little convince store is a great touch for morning coffee, drinks or late night snacks and some little essentials. We will definitely stay here again!

Rooms are very spacious, well appointed with all amenities more like a small studio apartment.
