It was a spacious corner room with a pleasant balcony overlooking sail boats and yachts in Penobscot Bay. The lobby was equally impressive, creatively designed allowing for numerous paintings by talented local artists where we enjoyed both tea and a glass of wine during our stay. We will be back.

The parking situation is "amenable", but a result of our stay coinciding with the back-to-back Lobster Fest and Maine Boat Show weekends. We never resolved the in-room viewing options as "Live TV" was dead, and the connectivity which allowed for streaming was non-existent. It forced us to immerse ourselves into the ambience of the property and that is exactly what one should do when visiting 250 MAIN......

Our room had a good amount of closet space, a comfortable chair for sitting & a modern touch. The bathroom was spacious with an unexpected perk of a heated floor. A nice extra in the winter. Bed was very comfortable, parking is a bit of a walk although there are plenty of parking spaces close to unload. We used our time to visit the Farnsworth museum and have a good meal. This hotel was a welcomed spot to return to after a long day.

Webster37 (10/5): Love this place! - Such a great hotel! We came to Rockland for a memorial service and in searching for a place to stay, I fortunately found 250 Main. What a treat. The design is stunning, gorgeous artwork is everywhere, the room was super with luxe bedding and an incredible shower. The staff even delivered fresh hot coffee to our room in the morning when I called the front desk. I’d love to return during warmer months.
Mobile310285 (10/5): Chic, minimalist experience with a sunrise and ocean view! - 250 is a wonderful, minimalist boutique hotel located in Rockland, Maine's vibrant South End. There's so much to do within walking distance. We loved parking the car for the weekend and walking to the beach, restaurants and shops. 250 runs itself. You never see cleaning staff but your every need is met. The bedding was dreamy and super comfortable. There is no in-house dining but the healthy Continental breakfast choices are fabulous and from local vendors. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the lobby as we watched the sunrise over Rockland Harbor towards Owl's Head. There is no fitness center but the YMCA is a 5 minute walk from the property. This was our third stay and we will return.

Very nice, large & modern rooms and bathrooms. Balcony room provided a nice open air space to watch sunrise, rooftop deck was great for sunset and/or evening drinks. Breakfast was simple but classy, water stations for flat or bubbly available to fill up anytime.

As we are senior citizens it was very difficult to carry our luggage down 3 flights of stairs. No prior notice was given and no offer of help was extended by the young staff member guarding the door in the lobby.

Each floor has a bookcase with books to read and great art on the wall. Heated bathroom floors and towel warmer and robes provided in the spacious, modern room with a view. We arrived to wine and cheese and a friendly staff. The only thing that topped the room was the rooftop deck with awesome views of the harbor. This place was perfect!
moppa (10/5): Lovely hotel - Wow. It was not what we expected as it exceeded all expectations. Staff are incredibly customer focused. The roof top deck is amazing. The rooms are very modern and well appointed. There is artwork from local artists throughout and the hotel did a great job in communicating prior to our arrival. Tons of stuff within walking distance. They do not have parking but there is a public lot across the street that worked out great and the rooms have smart TVs so bring your passwords! I would highly recommend. I wished we had stayed longer.

Only two things kept me from giving this 5 circles. (1) The TV didn't work much of the time; they came up a couple of times to fix it, but the fix didn't last. This was not just our problem, it seemed to be throughout the hotel. (2) Lighting in the bathroom was inadequate. We were Rockland to go to the Farnsworth Museum; we would definitely stay here again if we return.

Leah (6/5): - For the price one would expect some amenities other than basics. Parking was in free areas of the town not on property. Breakfast was coffee, danish, cold cereal no big deal. Their wine afternoon comes with a cost that is billed later on for those who are unable to directly book. The only good thing I can say is that the view from the balacony room was very nice. I would not stay there again just for that. There are other places that would be just as nice if not nicer for half the price. Big disappointment. No convenient restaurants within close proximatey. Forget about finding a nice breakfast in the town. The whole experience was disappointing. Other towns along the coast of Maine are so nice and welcoming and this was a surprise to find a place advertised as art inspired to be so dull.
Glenn (8/5): Very good - We were in a 5th floor room with huge picture windows that offered great views and lots of light. Also a staff member named Orlando was fantastic trying to fix our TV problems The smart TV system in place was not that good. At night when we were in our room the TV problems were nonstop.

One of the best hotels I stayed in - very modern, updated and clean! I was personally very surprised - not sure what I expected but it was lovely! Great place for a getaway!
dps_nyc (10/5): Great hotel in Rockland with local artist program - Lovely, comfortable modern hotel with great design and art program. Located right on Main Street in Rockland across from the harbor and within walking distance of restaurants, museums, and shops. Friendly, professional staff provided helpful recommendations. Pleasant breakfast available in the lobby in the mornings. And check out the rooftop deck for a great view! I'd definitely stay again.
Laxsocgym (10/5): Great Hotel - We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We had 3 rooms booked for our group and arrived several hours early after a 5 day sailing trip on one of the schooners out of Rockland. We asked if there was any way we could check in early to one of the rooms, and within a half hour they were able to allow us into all 3 rooms. The lobby and rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable, and they had interesting art work and lots of games and books to borrow. The breakfast and wine and cheese were very nice quality. The rooftop deck had amazing views. Great customer service! Everyone we met was very professional and so friendly. Highly recommend!

fromAtl (10/5): Lovely stay - Hubby and I had a nice time at the 250 Main hotel. We stayed in the Fabulous room, which was spacious with a king bed (or a queen, I can’t remember!), a long dresser in front of a wall of windows, a chair, bedside tables, and a big bathroom with incredible products! The bed was very comfortable and linens lovely. The breakfast was delicious, and a highlight for us was Natalie’s OJ, our favorite. By booking through the hotel, we enjoyed a glass of wine upon arrival during their social hour and took it to the rooftop. Wow! What a space! I highly recommend this hotel.

barbarasK3484KP (10/5): Beautiful boutique hotel, centrally located in Rockland with attention to all the small details - Beautifully decorated boutique hotel conveniently located in Rockland, Maine close to the Farnsworth Museum, shops, restaurants and waterfront. First of all, they have sparkling water on tap with bottles for guests to bring to their rooms. The breakfast was continental style with a lovely selection of croissants, yogurt, granola, fruit, juice and coffee. This hotel focuses on the little details....fresh flowers, lovely local artwork for sale, and an extremely attentive staff. Finally, the bed was luxurious with comfortable cotton percale sheets and ample pillows. I will look forward to staying here again.
