- Saskia (8/5): Fijn verblijf met verrassend diner - Een heerlijke, ruime kamer waarin het prettig verblijven was. ’s Nachts was het wat warm, maar met een ingenieus systeem kon het raam open. De bedden sliepen erg goed. Ook de badkamer was ruim en comfortabel, met fijne vloerverwarming. Alleen met het douchegordijn had ik een kleine strijd 😉. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en vers, met volop keuze. Het aanbevolen driegangenmenu in het restaurant was echt een aanrader: smaakvol en verrassend goed geprijsd.

The food served in the hotel was very good and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

- Marije (6/5): Ruimte voor verbetering! - In een prachtig dorpje gelegen hotel met een redelijk ruime kamer. De bedden waren erg slecht. Dit kan toch echt eenvoudig en “goedkoop” verholpen worden. Ze deden zelfs voorkomen bij de receptie dat ze hier van op de hoogte zijn. Ook is het er gehorig. Zo gehorig dat ze er zelf al oordoppen neerleggen. Ook is het jammer dat mijn aangegeven allergieën niet door zijn gegeven aan de keuken. Natuurlijk kan je van alles weglaten zodat het geen probleem is maar dan scoor je bij mij geen voldoende. Bijna alle restaurants lukt het om creatief te zijn en iets lekkers neer te zetten. Hier helaas niet.

- Mika (9/5): - Siisti pieni hotelli,isot tilavat huoneet. Erinomainen aamiainen,parasta pekonia / munakokkelia ja makkaroita tällä reissulla. Pehmeää jogurttia myslin / hillon kanssa. Hyvä valikoima irtoteetä. Miellyttävä ja ystävällinen henkilökunta. Hotellin ravintola on erinomainen ja todella viihtyisä kellariravintola. Aamuliikenne kuului huoneeseen melko hyvin, yllättävän paljon liikennettä mukulakivikadulla -tosin pyhäinpäiväviikonloppu varmasti lisäsi liikennettä.

- Jesper (6/5): Bortset fra den dårlige lugt, et fint sted at overnatte. - Vi boede på værelse 15 og kunne parkere lige uden for døren. Ligger centralt, hvis man skal sydpå eller retur. Det er 2. gang, vi bor på samme værelse. Desværre er der en meget dårlig lugt på badeværelset, nu som tidligere. Det lugter stærkt af kloak. Det ville være rart, hvis der var varme på badeværelset.

Det er ikke topmoderne, men det fungerer som det skal. God morgenmad. Vi havde booket værelser på selve hotellets 1. sal med elevator, men fik desværre værelser i annekset uden elevator. Men vi klarede det.

Close to Legoland (40 minutes) Arhus (1.5 hours), Aro Island and winery (45 minutes) Nothing really, maybe just the squeaky floor.

- Ian (10/5): Not enough days to enjoy excellent food, both at breakfast and evening meal. New friends found. - Not having visited before it was fantastic to see the workings of another congregation. I am from FULNECK and came on the festival weekend, with others from the UK and NI, All the hotel staff were very welcoming from the entrance and friendly, easy to get along with. Meals above what was expected. (Thank you to the young waitress who selected a excellent red wine for me on the Saturday and her mum on the Sunday.) Room was very large and overall hotel worth the cost. The site tours, shops, local cafes (Honey Cake yum yum) and local bars just made it a action package long weekend. (which other Moravian Church has its own bar!!?) The welcome at the festival event on Friday evening was totally unexpected and enjoyable, giving a chance to meet local church members. The two services on Sunday gave plenty to think about. Also a challenge to how what we think is the traditional way! WOW stars everywhere! Could you have done more - I think NO.

- Ingo (9/5): Interessanter Ort voller Geschichte - Hotel und Ort haben eine eng verwobene Geschichte und gehören irgendwie zusammen. Für Architekturinteressierte empfehlenswert. Das Hotel ist direkt bei Gründung von Christiansfeld mitgebaut worden und im Originalzustand erhalten. Mit alten Dielen, originalen Herrnhuter Kachelöfen, Gewölben, Fenstern, etc.. Die Besuche aller dänischen Könige im Haus wurden bildlich dokumentiert. Das Restaurant im Keller des Hotels bietet hervorragendes Essen. Das Hotel liegt an der zentralen Kreuzung des Ortes, was durchaus für Lärm in der großen Suite im 1. OG sorgt und stört, wenn man lange Schlafen möchte.

- Daniel Wesley (2/5): Not many options in Christiansfeld, but look elsewhere. - We had business in Christiansfeld, and it was one of the very few available hotels. Staff were very friendly and tried to be helpful, although they did not accurately communicate information. For example, they sent specific check-in time where the front desk was supposed to be staffed, and it was not staffed during those times. Despite trying to convey an impression of a grand old luxury hotel, this was a very uncomfortable room to stay in. For starters, the furniture was really inadequate for the room size, without enough usable surface to place anything on (very small desk, for instance). The shower was very inconvenient, taking several minutes to give hot water and set up so that it’s impossible to use without getting water throughout the bathroom. The room was not clean. It was equipped with an old fashioned fire-burning stove — not operational during our summertime stay, though not clear whether it can be used during the winter — and this stove had not been cleaned of ashes and other debris before the summer season. The room had an extraordinarily large amount of wall art (mostly pictures of King Christian X, more on that later) and there was a thick layer of dust on and behind each picture. Consequently, my partner was sneezing from allergies within moments of entering the room. Regarding the decor, the hotel rooms are named after historical figures. Our was King Christian X, and the room was adorned with six pictures of him and a few other pictures/exhibits of his reign, appearing on almost every wall and windowsill. This was very uncomfortable for us. Not only is it rather weird to be confronted with politics during a hotel stay, Christian X was a Nazi collaborator and there was messaging in the room that seemed aimed at rehabilitating his actions. Although I would not normally comment on politics in a hotel review, in this case it feels as if the room itself confronted us with politics and it left us with a bad taste in our mouths. It frankly felt like an assault on European democratic values.

Vi oplevede første morgen, at der blev skramlet/ støjet rigtig meget omkring oprydning i morgenmadsrestauranten allerede kl. 9:30 (morgenmad var til 10:00). Endvidere blev vi bedt om at forlade restauranten kl. 9:55, da man skulle have ryddet af inden personalemøde. Man kunne måske have nøjes med at fjerne maden og så lade os drikke vore kaffe færdigt.

Brødremenighedens Hotel er gedigent på alle gode måder. Det eneste irriterende er disse spørgsmål!! Jeg svarer kun af hensyn til hotellet - ikke til Booking.Com.
- Joakim (9/5): Charm och trivsel - Charm, rent och fräscht, sköna sängar, möjlighet att sitta utanför rummet och njuta av sommarkvällen, fin frukost. Möjlighet att äta god mat i restaurangen. Ngt lyhört på morgonen när städningen utanför påbörjades, men det låg öronproppar att tillgå på nattduksbordet. ☺️
