- Verified traveler (2/5): - Very disappointed, it was like a hostel and it was very noisy. I think we were the only guests in amongst all contractors staying there. The pool that was advertised was not functional and hadn’t been for a long time by the looks of it. There was no pool table as advertised and the public area was stacked with random matresses. We couldn’t open the windows fully due to scaffolding outside the window which felt very unsafe should there have been a fire. Every morning, before light we were woken up by people right outside our window chatting, smoking and coughing. All in all a very bad experience never to be repeated.
- Carole (8/5): Comfortable hotel with self catering facilities - Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable room. Problem with toilet was remedied immediately. Hotel could do with pool area being smartened up. Sound proofing between rooms not the best. Loud music played a few evenings but was dealt with by staff when contacted. Great location for central St Helier, easy to walk to many areas. On the whole, a great stay in Jersey.
- Sara (10/5): Great 2-star stay - I was pleasantly surprised. The room had an adequate size for me and had a kitchenette. The room and kitchenette were both very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchenette had everything, cutlery, pans, toaster, microwave, small fridge and small vitro. Perfect if you're planning on staying for a few days! Bathroom was also very good size. The service was also very good, staff were friendly, polite and always greeted with a smile! Overall, a great place to stay considering it's a 2-star hotel.

- Najma (4/5): Pleasant hotel staff. Good facilities. Area poor - Travelled with a child. Hotel staff were friendly but no lift and had to carry luggage up stairs. Room was in good, clean condition. No mirror in room to dry hair. No plug for hair dryer in/near bathroom where they had the only mirror. Surrounding area is not great. Swearing and fighting in the street until 2am. Also dogs and smoking allowed in the hotel. If any of this does not appeal to you, do not stay here
- Jesus (10/5): 5* Star Hotel (Good Value for money) - Wow! This friendly hotel in my opinion is excellent. Perfect location near beach, Elizabeth catle,shops and restaurants. My room 114 was fully refurbished and has smart TV where you can watch your Netflix has twin room for my daughter so she has privacy. It has a good size pool but didn’t get to use it, too busy exploring this beautiful island of Jersey. Lots of places to go and see. My advice is to use the buses, they are excellent and cheap. Get a day pass for unlimited ride. Taxi will rip you off. Bus will cost you £2 from the Airport and it takes 15mins. The hotel manager called Cristina and her staff were helpful,friendly and informative. I forgot the bar is good with TV and games room for the Kids. Overall our stay for 5 days wasn’t enough. I think a week will be ok cos you’ll get to see a lot in Jersey. One more if you like fish and chips, I would recommend you to go Erlinda’s fish and chips near Apollo hotel not far from Queens st. Been there 2x. The best!!
- G S A F (10/5): Fantastic value - Amazing location for St. Helier centre bars and restaurants. Ok lets be straightforward, this is no 5* hotel, but its exceptionally clean, all rooms have a large en suite bathroom, plus a small kitchen area in each room which includes kettle, toaster, fridge, all cutlery and plates etc, and 2 cooking rings plus the sink and draining board. Rooms are cleaned everyday. The staff are exceptional and will help in anyway the can. If you want somewhere clean, in a fantastic location then look no further. Thanks to Christina and Alex for naking us so welcome.

- Simone (10/5): - I spent 3 nights at the Sarum Hotel and found it very comfortable. The staff were very kind and friendly and helpful. Do the fire doors need to be kept closed ?
- Verified traveler (2/5): Poor customer service - Our family stay at this hotel cannot even be classed as a stay as we didn't even spend the night, members of staff we nice upon arrival but then because of an issue there was one extra person which caused everything to spark off and staff members to come to our door multiple times harassing us telling us that if we all stayed they would kick us out the next day but they would give us an extra room away from everyone else that we had to pay for which we were not willing to do. We asked for the manager on several occasions and she didnt come only relaying messages through her member of staff who started getting extremely rude and at one point started threatening us to call the police. So at 11:30pm we were kicked out of the hotel by the managers member of staff, having to find somewhere else to and then we told to call hotels.com for a refund and when we did the next day they called the hotel who proceeded to tell them to not give us a refund for not staying there. All in all this hotel had extremely poor customer service and i would not recommend it to families as they don't really appreciate the custom. We are also still working hard to get our money back but will never stay in this hotel again

The hotel is located in a quiet road which is also close to a bus station and the town centre. We would immediately recommend the hotel as it is really good value for money.

There is a good choice at breakfast in a nice dining area. The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area a few minutes from the sea and about 10-15 from the town centre.

Spacious and clean room with amenities (kitchenette: microwave, hob, dishes, pans, toaster, fridge, kettle; small tea table; tea, coffee and chocolate available), spacious bathroom, daily room service, laundry for 4 pounds and another pound for drying. Nice and friendly staffs.
- Maggie (8/5): - We had a short break at this hotel, where we had twin beds, an en suite bathroom, and a mini kitchen. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The only problem we found was quite loud and insistent music being played in the evening, although it stopped by midnight.
- Christopher (8/5): 2 days in Jersey - An old large house converted into a hotel many years ago. Surprised to find a kitchen sink, cooker, microwave in my bedroom, along with a TV & bathroom washing facilities. Thankfully the toilet and shower were in a separate room. OK for a very brief stopover, a bit like camping, certainly not a holiday room for anyone with romantic intentions. Agree with its 2 star rating.
- Patrick (10/5): Great and affordable hotel close to town centre - Stayed several nights. Very clean and quiet, ca. 10mins walk from the town centre. I liked the kitchenette very much, which was not only convenient, but also made it feel more like a small appartment than just a hotel room. Room was very spacious. On the 3rd floor (there's a lift but it didn't work when I was there). I didn't take breakfast in the hotel but there's a number of cafes nearby. Overall I would definitely stay there again.

- Eric (8/5): Friendly stay. - Even though not in the "best part of town",the hotel is centrally located, a mere 5 minute walk from the beach and from the city centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We couldn't ask for better treatment. The rooms were basic, but clean and tidy. We slept well and the kitchenette was very handy. All in all it was good value for money.
- Alsie (8/5): Sarum's a good stay! - The Sarum is a pleasant hotel in a quiet-ish location and about 15-20 minutes walk into town. There are some on going, noisy refurbishment works going on at the moment and although these did not affect my stay prospective users should be aware that this could impact on your stay, especially if you are staying in. Also the lift (elevator) was apparently not working but I was only aware of this when I was informed by the receptionist when I arrived; in fact they moved me to a room on a lower floor when I checked in. There was a little noise from outside - noisy motorbikes mainly and also some fireworks on my last night - and there was also some minor noise from other rooms - doors banging and raised voices but not really a problem. I didn't eat hotel food so cannot comment on that aspect.

- A (8/5): Great Hotel for independent travellers - I enjoyed my stay at the Sarum Hotel and the self-catering facilities made my life much easier. I like the opportunity to cook for myself as I rarely get value out of breakfast/evening meals as I am not a big eater. The hotel is well situated - only 10 minutes' walk from Liberation Square/Bus Station and 5 minutes from the sea front. The staff are friendly and helpful.

It is in a good location for the beach, shops, busses and cafe/restaurants. Only a 10 minute walk to the centre of St Hellier and the main bus station.
- Em (8/5): Nice hotel walking distance from bus station! - The hotel was comfortable and clean, the surrounding area had mini marts and cafes which makes grabbing a bite really convenient. Also, it is situated within a walking distance to the main bus station! Staff were really nice and provided assistance.
- Rob (8/5): Grandsons First Holiday with Us - We took 4 boys age 5 to 10 to Jersey for some fun exploring and Battle of Flowers Parades. We needed an apartment for 2 Adults and 4 Children. Not so easy in St Helier. As it was Battle of Flowers we paid a premium for the room, but we were happy. The room was a 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor. Bedrooms spacious and well equipped. Beds nice and large TV in both. Lounge area was ok and included another TV and dinning table. Well equipped full kitchen. Even dishwasher and washing machine. Plenty of really hot water. The corridor area and outside in the garden need a bit of attention. But the kids loved the pool and it's enclosed and safe. Front desk staff exceptional Would recommend but if you want everything as bright as a new pin it might not suit you. We travel a lot as a couple and enjoyed our stay there. Would return with the kids. Property best suited families and not couples

- Alan (10/5): Amazing stay! - We loved staying at Sarum hotel. The manager Cristina and her assistant Flavia are really lovely! We're very comfortable in our own self-catering place with a balcony. The hotel itself is just a few minutes away from the shops and the centre itself. The only issue we had was the cleanliness. It could do with a bit more of a clean esp in the bathroom. Aside from that, everything else was perfect! We are looking forward to going back to Sarum hotel in the near future! Thanks very much!
- Clare & Sarah (8/5): Nice hotel hope to return. - Lovely hotel, Very clean and tidy. Christina the manager was very helpful. Would definitely stay again. Only issue for us was parking which is available on site with limited spaces which need to be booked well in advance. There is a public car park which charges between 8am and 5pm so we just went all day . I think we could have done everything we wanted to do without a car anyway .
- richard (10/5): Short business trip made simple and easy! - Fantastic welcome, arrived early - no problem, needed help - no problem, had to leave luggage for a while after checking out - no problem. An excellent relaxing stay. Great central location, easy access to town and sea front, very fast wi-fi. Friendly helpful team of staff and particular thanks to the lovely Cristina!

- Adrian (10/5): Nice hotel - Went to visit my son for a few days and chose a budget hotel but was very pleased with the value for money. Had a self catering triple room which gave us a double and single beds in separate rooms, shower/bath room and small kitchenette - 2 small hobs and microwave. very clean. beds comfortable. decor light and pleasant. communal areas very clean but perhaps a little dated but is undergoing some refurbishment. Only real negative would be that the frontage of the hotel on the main street looks really quite run down and isn't very appealing - but you need to walk through the door! Manager and staff very helpful and obliging. Location is only short walking distance from seafront and just a little longer into main town. Would stay here again :)

- Carole (8/5): Great value - This is a cute hotel, in a great location being only 10 mins walk into central St Helier. We stayed in one of the suites in the adjoining building, which had everything we needed. It's not ultra modern but it was clean and the beds were certainly comfy. There was a lovely looking pool, but late Sept/early Oct was not the time for outdoor swimming, but it looked clean. The staff were friendly and helpful if we come back we would definitely stay here again. Thank you

- ellen (2/5): Run down, shabby, unpleasant hotel - This hotel is totally misrepresented on its published photographs. The first thing we were asked for on arrival were our credit card details, although the booking was prepaid, this was so that they could take money from our account for any damage we might cause to the hotel! Don't give them your details.The exterior is cracked and peeling, with mostly rotten window frames. Inside is shabby and in places dirty. The rooms we were offered were cramped, had damaged furniture and were barely cleaned, empty toilet products from previous occupant left in shower rack! The public areas were unappealing, the pool had cracked and missing tiles around the edges and was a meeting place for groups of men smoking. The room was only cleaned once during a nine night stay, we had to ask at reception for clean towels, after five days and loo rolls when we needed replacements. The bathroom bin was not emptied during the entire stay. The 'hotel' seemed to be mostly occupied by working men. It is listed on some Jersey tourist leaflets as 'self catering rooms' not an 'hotel' or 'guest house.' The staff always had excuses for any concerns we raised and we felt intimidated on occasions. We endured the nine nights because we couldn't find any alternative accommodation. Definitely not worth what they charged.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good position shame about the parking. - We arrived at 9.30pm as flight delayed nearly 2 hours. When we arrived there was nowhere to park our hire car and reception was closed. Eventually a place was found and we were pleasantly surprised when we got to our room which was spacious and well equipped with a kitchenette which was a real advantage.
- Emma (8/5): sarum hotel st hellier - We had a great stay at the serum hotel in jersey, staff were very friendly and helpful in any way they could only thing that was off putting was the cars outside but not the hotels fault will defo be booking there again.
- Owen (6/5): Very much a 2 star hotel - We booked a family room at relatively short notice through Expedia. The hotel is on a one way system and has very limited parking. It currently is undergoing some sort of renovation along with the building next to it so there were builders vans everywhere making parking very difficult. The whole hotel, from what I saw, is in need of a major renovation and substantial investment. Our room was spacious but the standard of fittings and general repair was poor. The grouting in the shower was atrocious. It is very close to the town centre and other amenities in St Helier which is about the only positive thing I can say about it. Our rooms were supposed to be changed twice a week but that only happened once and on one of the double beds they left a single sheet !! You get what you pay for. It was my first experience of a 2 star hotel. The hotel staff were very pleasant. I would never stay there again nor could I recommend it unless you were on a very tight budget & couldn't find anywhere else to stay.
- Lindy (4/5): Close to beach and shops - Room clean but dated ok for a short stay with kitchenette if you wanted to do our own cooking. Otherwise our room was only serviced once whilst we were there. It was very noisy with constant banging of doors plus the fair was only a street away from our room.
- Michelle (8/5): Excellent rates & comfortable stay - This little hotel worked a treat for us. Nothing fancy as we were just looking for somewhere clean and comfortable. A little dated in the decor but nothing wrong with it. Hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. It's a nice casual atmosphere, like staying with relatives. Good for families as we had 2 connected rooms with our own bathroom and kitchenette. My daughter is vegan & didn't always get food that suited her when we were out so she was able to use the kitchen, toaster, hob to make her own. Not too far out of town & only 15 minute walk from main bus station so it was handy to take bus from airport & walk there.
- Steven (6/5): Good budget hotel. - The hotel was generally good but for some of the fittings/fixtures in poor repair.I was staying due to working in the area so maybe more forgiving than most.
- Kat (10/5): Excellent, value for money, budget hotel - Excellent value for money budget hotel. I stayed in a single en suite room, with kitchen area on 2nd floor. Kitchen area included microwave, kettle, toaster and all cutlery, crockery and utensils. Tea and coffee is provided during my stay also. Bathroom has a full size bath with shower over, sink and toilet with toiletries included during stay. The single was adequate for my stay as it was a business trip which meant me working on the island for 4 weeks in the General Hospital. The hotel provides a laundry rooms which includes a washing machine and tumble dryer (charged locally). A garden is situated at the hotel with a swimming pool which is a very pleasant area. Wifi was very strong in reception and also in my room as it was situated very near to the wifi router.

- John (8/5): Great Base for a Jersey Walking Holiday - I was on a walking holiday with friends already booked elsewhere. Using public bus service we covered 60 miles of coastal paths and inland green lanes. Also visited the botanical garden and the German Underground Hospital.
- Colin (8/5): short stay in Jersey - A very warm and happy welcome by the manager a d her staff set the scene for a very pleasant stay. My room set on the top floor was reached by a lift. The room had a single bed, ensuite bathroom and was equipped with a fridge hob and microwave. There was little noise save for seagulls! The hotel is,very well placed for the tourist. I would happily stay at the Sarum again.
- Jeanette (8/5): Good location to relax - The place location is ideal as it has stores around it. A park and the sea coast is just a few minutes away. The room is spacious and is provided with basic things you would need for your stay. The bed is also comfortable to sleep with after a long day of sight seeing and going around Jersey.

- Verified traveler (4/5): It's OK but a little run down. Fine for one night. - The hotel itself needs some TLC, new carpets and general redecoration. The room looked a little less tired than the hotel hallways and the bathroom was actually pretty decent. If you're staying here, it's unlikely this is your honeymoon, so it's fine. It's not luxury - but for a night it's fine. The Wifi only works downstairs in the communal area and not in the rooms. The guy who checked me in was friendly and helpful.
- Virginia (10/5): Modern Apartment Style - The apartment style room was modern and comfortable with a view of the sea. It was a short walk to the ferry station and the downtown centre. I was very pleased with my stay.
- Bob (10/5): Cheerful, helpful, welcoming. Suits us. - We are a couple in our 70s. We spent a few days at the Sarum Hotel in early June 2016. We used the hotel as a base for exploring Jersey by bus, with three-day hop on-off bus-passes (ask at the hotel desk). We also enjoyed exploring St Helier on foot. The beach is 6 minutes away. It's 20 minutes to the ferry port and bus station. In the late sunshine we relaxed with other guests in the garden by the hotel's pool.
