- Roger (10/5): A wonderful hotel with authentic character and great staff. - A wonderful hotel, with real authentic character, and wonderful staff. The setting is just perfect, deep amongst the tea plantations! Nothing!
- Valentin (10/5): - Sehr ästhetische Unterkunft inmitten der Teeplantagen.
- Lewis (10/5): - So peaceful
Helpful staff
Delicious food

- Jeanne (10/5): Tres bel emplacement. Personnel sympathique. - Emplacement dans la verdure et au calme Décoration un peu trop sombre des chambres
- Rogini (10/5): - The location was great

- Elavarasan (10/5): Very good fantastic experience in middle of tea garden . Only parking slot is small place . Rest of the things are good - Very good location . Fantastic All things good . No issues at all .
- Peter (10/5): Beautiful property in beautiful surroundings - Stunning property in a remarkable landscape
- Josephine (8/5): Great hotel in relaxing peaceful tea plantation - We had a wonderful stay here. Quiet, relaxing, beautiful scenery.
Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean.
Food was absolutely delicious.
All staff were friendly and professional, nothing seemed too much trouble.
The nature walk with Tony was excellent.
We tuk-tuk’d to the Tea Museum and then to Munnar and back. Walked to waterfalls and to watch the sunset and went on a Sunrise jeep excursion.
I highly recommend Tea Harvester.
- Cherian (7/5): -
- Caroline (7/5): Very pleasant place to stay. The staff were welcoming and responsive to our requests. - Very friendly, helpful staff.
Beautiful view from our room.
Picturesque setting in the tea fields. There was mould in the bathroom and some of the walls.
- Robin (10/5): - The views were breathtaking. The staff and especially the manager were super friendly and accommodating.
- TraVillers (9/5): - Great staff, super breakfast and dinner...incl beer.
Super tour in the fields.
All to our expectations x
- Sandip (10/5): Exceptional - Behavior of the staff. Price of the restaurant is higher.
- Aravind (1/5): Bad -
- David (10/5): Exceptional - The manager and his staff were really helpful. The hotel is in a beautiful location. The rooms are a good size and we had a beautiful view of the mountains from the rear balcony. The building itself is a gem. Nothing really.
- Soumendu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rinas (8/5): Very good - Location Back view balcony - kitchen smell coming to the room if we open the delivery
- Sujith (4/5): Disappointing - Nothing specific about the stay just enjoyed the evening walk in tea estate. It was my 3rd spot to stay in Munnar and compared to other 2 had very bad experience with Tea Harvester.
1) When we reached there was very less staff to welcome or to take our luggage. Same happened during checkout too
2) Requested for non-smoking room but as soon as we entered the room, it had a very bad smell of smoke
3) Bed was not comfortable
4) The room which was allotted to us in that refrigerator was not working
5) Bathroom didn't had hair dryer & slippers and under Media & Technology, it was mentioned telephone and room didn't had telephone, for room service we had to use our cellphones to call the receiption (as mentioned in booking.com)
6) Iron/Ironing facilities were unavailable
- Soorath (10/5): Exceptional - Nice scenery and location Toilet door hard to open.
- Chandapillai (3/5): Poor -
- Josef (9/5): Superb -
- Venkatraman (10/5): Pleasant stay - Excellent place and good breakfast. Tony and Basil were extremely helpful in addressing our needs Nothing
- Luis (8/5): Beautiful location, seriously - We were upgraded to "their best room" due to an issue with our booking, and it was really great. The balcony had a view down over the canopy, and the front of the room opened onto a walkway veranda looking straight at the plantation.
The food in the restaurant was also excellent. The staff in the restaurant friendly, and helped us order as well.
In the mornings, they offer a free walking tour around the plantation, and the guide explained all the plants to us and their dog even came for the ride. It was great to walk amongst the tea trees and learn about all the history.
One evening we were taken in a tuktuk by the guy working at the hotel to a viewpoint amongst tea trees and managed to take some amazing photos. The guy was a bit drunk and talking a lot, but the view was worth it. The hotel organised a taxi to collect us from Cherai Beach in Kochi which was very kind, but the taxi experience was not great at all. They arrived 70 minutes late for a 4+ hour journey, meaning we arrived much later and didn't have much time to enjoy the hotel, a whole day effectively traveling. The taxi driver also took us to a spice garden without a choice, and it ended up being a big sales pitch for them to try and sell us ayurvedic medicine. We weren't told about this when orgnaising the taxi, and the hour we spent there added to our already delayed trip. When we didn't buy anything from the shop, the driver seemed a little annoyed and didn't talk to us in the car for a while. He also sped really fast around cars, which was a little unnerving given that we were on a mountain.
When we arrived at the hotel, the first thing we were told was that there "was an issue with your booking.com reservation", which isn't the most reassuring thing to hear when you arrive at a hotel. They explained that because of this, they would drive us to a luxury hotel free of charge, and would upgrade our room. On the surface, this sounded like we were being stitched up, but it turns out that we actually were taken to a brand new luxury hotel. It felt like we were the first guests to stay there. When we returned the next day, the trip could properly start, but it was a shame as we specifically booked this hotel and only had one night in it.
- Lotta (8/5): Very good - Very friendly staff and great visit of the tea plantations. The location is very calm and beautiful
- Fredd (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carolyn (8/5): Very good - Lovely building in the middle of the tea plantations, lovely view over the spice garden from the balcony, very peaceful. Dinner in the restaurant was good, they do not serve alcohol but were happy for customers to bring their own. comfortable room. Limited breakfast. It is a little way out of town, wasn't a problem for us, but need to take a tuk tuk to get anywhere. the building is in a lovely setting but not quite as isolated as the picture appears - there has clearly been quite a bit of building since it was taken!
- George (7/5): Good -
- Amedeo (9/5): Peace and Relax in the middle of a tea plantation - The location is amazing, in the middle of a tea plantation and surrounded by coffee trees and cardamon plants! It's so peaceful and relaxing that you don't want to leave.
The food is very good quality with nice breakfast buffet and great variety on the menu for dinner.
Staff is nice and always helpful.
We would definetely come back.
Highly recommended Room could be cleaner and should be 100% ready at check in, while we found no towels and no toilet paper when we arrived. No housekeeping service in the morning which I would expect from an accomodation of this type. Staff is nice but communication can be challenging at times due to poor English.
- Newnarb (8/5): Very good - Loved the authenticity of this hotel . It was very comfortable and relaxed. The staff were attentive kind and helpful. We liked every thing.
- Siddhartha (5/5): Not value for money - Location, property Room service, no mineral water, food
- Jinto (7/5): Good -
- Soundararajan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Siddhesh (9/5): Superb -
- Rahel (8/5): It was clean, the food was good, the staff were very nice and the view from the top floor was amazing! - It was clean, the food was good, the staff were very nice and the view from the top floor was amazing! It is a bit remote and the road leading to the property is quite bumpy.
- Gupta (5/5): Passable - 1. Location 2. Ambience l.Poor Management
- Anoop (7/5): Good - Room is good. location also nice. Price is high Location & ambience
- Princekahira (7/5): Good - Location, price (maybe due to the dates I was in). Food served at restaurant was good. Very hardworking satff Need repairs and deep cleaning
- Juan (9/5): Nice stay in the middle of a plantation - The location is amazing and the place is very special, right in the middle of the tea plantations. The personal is nice and support you on organizing tours around the area. Good in general. Just mentioning that you don't have all the services available at walking distance, but that's also what makes it cool.
- Indrajit (10/5): Amazing tea garden stay in the midst of nature. - Excellent location, helpful staff , good spacious rooms with superb views, Excellent breakfast. We enjoyed our stay. No AC, no ventilation in room. Suggest placing mosquito nets on at least one window as it is impossible to keep windows open at night due to insects.
- Exploring (6/5): Pleasant - Food was tasty and good. Location was good. It's not value for money. It is too costly.
- Prantika (8/5): Very good -
- Rajalakshmi (5/5): Passable -
- Ajith (9/5): Superb - Everything Nothing
- Satyam (7/5): Good -
- Isabelle (6/5): Disappointed by the view - The good point is that you can walk easily and FOR FREE in the tea plantation in the around. We were very disappointed by the view which is full of buildings and electrical facilities. The rooms are supposed to have a view on the tea plantation but its not true. Isolation is not good, we can hear the kitchen and noises from other rooms.
The Manager of the hotel is not a nice person as many comments noted (rest of the staff is nice).
The restaurant staff is not very professional (loud music and TV while having dinner).
- Panchangam (6/5): It was a good stay - the tea estate was really beautiful and the staff is very helpful and friend the food was fantastic as shown on the listing there were a few items missing in the room.
*There was no telephone for the room service
very far from my and town and during the stay we could not explore the neighbourhood so much
- Sumit (9/5): Superb -
- Linda (5/5): Not recomended till they change their cleaning standarts. - Location. View from the balcony. Exterior of the building. Breakfast was ok. The interior is SO rundown. It was dirty everywhere- from floors to balcony, chairs, curtains
and most important- bed sheets, pillowcases!! It seamed they were not changed for a while.. So dirty. They changed it, but it was disgusing:( And spiderwebs in the corners.. It’s so sad, because this hotel could be so nice..:(
- Fagent (7/5): Fabulous location and friendly staff. - The location is incredible, remote and beautiful with much wildlife to view.
The breakfast is brought to you at the table, there is no buffet. The head waiter is lovely and helpful. The food is good. The hotel is styling itself as a Boutique, destination hotel. We originally booked this thinking it was a Heritage style hotel. In truth the management have changed rooms to appear modernised but our room hadn't been finished of in several ways.
- Dilip (9/5): Superb - The location of the hotel was nice - between thd tea plantation which gave pleasant look. This is little away from town - approach road needs to be good.
- Thanabalan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Suzane (10/5): beautiful surroundings. food was great and the staff were so helpful - the staff were so helpful and our driver did an excellent tour of the region. nothing
- Sandipan (10/5): A resort in a tea garden. - Location.. it exactly matches the photo...if you love nature then you must stay hear Hot water was not available.
- Ravindra (9/5): Superb -
- Suresh (10/5): we learned about tea cultivation while staying at a picturesque resort. - beautiful setting amidst a tea plantation; staff who were knowledgeable about tea planting and harvesting; clean and comfortable rooms. Great value. Thanks! nothing.
- Sanjay (8/5): Very good -
- Nava (9/5): Superb -
- Oksana (5/5): you can find better places for cheaper, after travelling through india it feels like a scam - Food and staff very bad wi fi
very shabby, old property
- Joshua (8/5): Good food but cleaning and maintenance need more attention. - The staff is quick to fix issues and helpful. Restaurant food is good and affordable. Breakfast is provided and very tasty. Good price. When we got to the room, the sheets and towels were dirty and we had to get new ones. This might be a 'mistake' but the room had clearly been serviced (the bed was made) and the dirty items not replaced. This implies they cleaned the room but did a poor job. The building seems like it is still be renovated. The drive up to the hotel is difficult for the cab drivers especially the hump going into the check in area. Please fix this as it could easily damage a smaller vehicle. Location is sub optimal and is not really in Munnar city as the listing made me think.
I often hear that such complaints originate because of differences between American and Indian standards but I think this is a weak excuse. Everyone wants a clean hotel room.
- Divya (9/5): Superb -

- Malte (4/5): We didn’t stay the night because the rooms didn’t fulfil our expectations. - This used to be a beautiful house.
The location in the middle of tea plantations is nice. The house is run down and in need of some renovations.
The rooms and bathrooms weren’t clean.
There is mold on the walls.
The pictures on booking need updating.
- Devdatta (9/5): Superb experience! - Everything was good, especially the food. The staff was extremely cooperative and nice, went out of their way to help us out. Everything was good.
- Vipin (7/5): Good -
- Robert (10/5): Amazing. Highly recommend - Special place! Loved it here! Tony and the rest of the guys are great, nice rooms and a truly beautiful setting for the hotel.
- Abdurrazzaq (8/5): Great and will visit again - Very nice. Lovely staff and great food. Quick to organise tourist things for us and always available.
- cpv (4/5): - We asked for room service late in the night, just to get some water-bottles and plates. They refused saying that the kitchen was closed. Definitely not what you expect.
- Fatma (8/5): - The hotel was very nice but the food was not good unfortunately.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not helpful. - Had a delay with our visa and hotel denied cancelling, nor.changing our reservation for another day. The were not helpful and willing to assist. Shame on them.
