• William (1/5): Would not stay here again. - Not much- place is very run down. Nice piece of property that could be so much more. Well-the whole place is outdated from the 1960s! There are many bandaids put on these units from the floors to the doors and windows. The wood is old and disgusting. Besides that the bathroom is a disgrace. Could use a demo and a redo. Water barely draining while you shower- gross. Clean it up or shut it down would be my suggestion. Not sure how you can charge ppl for sub par accommodations.

The location was great. The room was very clean. The lamp in the room was broken. I did not care for the conditioner container. It was difficult to extricate the lotion out of the bottle.
• Raymond (10/5): - My idea of going to Lake George is to go swimming in Lake George and The Villas allow you to do so very conveniently. It has a nice lake side area in a pleasant cove. It is sited between Lake George Village and Bolton Landing and via the Diamond Point Road easy access to the Rte 28 and the Adirondaks. Finding places to eat can easily be expanded to include Glens Falls area Lake Luzerne and Warrensburg. It is also nicely placed as a base for hiking and bike riding in the mountains. The Villas is a busy place during the day since it also is the home of the Thunderbird marina where you can rent a craft to go out on the lake. At night the grounds are quiet and well lit and we found our fellow customers to be quiet and respectful. The grounds and our rooms were clean thanks to a dutiful staff. I enjoyed my stay.

Very nice salt water pool, and lots of grass to play in for the kids. The staff was friendly and helpful. Futon a bit outdated and hard, cafe was closed during our stay abd that hadn't been noted on the site.

No coffee on premises (had to go to the Up North Deli a mile down the road —- but it was nice). Asphalt roads are pretty bumpy and narrow. No real complaints… seasonal motel business is difficult and probably thin margins. Just not wowed for $375 for a 1-night stay… but appreciative of finding a room in a good location that was clean. Not a bad option at all if vacancies are low during the summer.

Room was advertised for 4 people, it had one couch to sit on 1 wine glass and 2 coffee cups very few utensils and pots even though it said it was an efficiency unit it was not. It was not very clean when we checked in, we found trash between couch cushions. Bathroom had no place to hang wet towels after using them. Beds were very uncomfortable and squeaked loudly when you moved while sleeping.
• Alexis (8/5): Lovely lake - At first I was disappointed because I was expecting a big historical inn and it is more of a motel. That being said, the sheets were clean, the bed was comfortable and the lake was lovely. $270 where we are from would be a very nice hotel. While the room was not beautiful, the lake was. We spent most of our time by the water and the sunset was really nice.
• vincent (4/5): Don’t pay a penny over $180 a night- way too much competition to pay any more for this place! - The salt water pool and the access to lake - thats it We booked 1 month before to celebrate w my sister’s 40th birthday- ended up paying $300 a night after taxes.. absolutely not worth one cent over $180 a night. Makes you not feel good when you over spend on something so incredibly not worth it… bed was hard, ac has to run on high every minute of the day and night to cool the smallest room. We stayed in a king room, the pictures make the whole “resort” look nice- very deceiving. Could be a better place if they actually put some money into property and cared enough to actually clean up and maybe even get matching chairs to sit in on the porches.. it shows how much they don’t care/ but they do care to charge $300 a night for a one bed room ….

• Donald (7/5): Great location, lovely pool, fun lake activites - The owner/host was so accommodating and helped us out, since booking.com messed up my reservation. Booking.com totally was deceiving in our accommodations. I will never book through this site again and will be sure to tell all my family and friends not to use them. Like I wrote, the owner of Villas changed our accommodations around to make our party of 6 be as comfortable as possible. The owner and staff were so friendly and helpful. BOOKING.COM TERRIBLE! -The Wi-Fi didn’t work well -Also, booking.com said the resort had a spa and cafe. Those 2 amenities weren’t open and available. The site shouldn’t advertise, if not available.
• MAJID (6/5): - There are about 15 villas . The pictures are representing the only one which waterfront. The rest are not like that. So I would say there is no guaranty to get what shown by the pictures !

I found the stay a bit overpriced for the fact that there were many outdated aspects of the room. Also one major thing for me was that I was charged for a cleaning fee, however, the sink had a leak and was broken, so in order not to make any water damage, I left the stuff I used unwashed. But I felt I shouldn’t have been penalized for this when they knew their sink was broken, and I know previous stays had the same issue (I know people..) I agreed to pay this fee as this isn’t a likely situation and I understood that someone had to clean this. But just wished that wasn’t the case. It happens though..

Something not right.

They had kayaks and canoes available to take out. Don't really have any complaints. If I had to pick something that could have been better it would be the couch and beds, which def weren't the most comfortable. But we were happy overall.

• Marisa (10/5): Great place for a family vacation - This was a perfect location to stay at when visiting Lake George. Just a few minutes from the village! We loved the pool and private beach including the kayaks guests can use for free. The grounds are very pretty and our suite was clean. My only complaint was that the stove in our room didn't have all burners functioning. And a few of the chairs by the pool have seen better days. But all in all, we would come back!

Private lake access with an abundance of kayaks, row boats, jet skis etc. Large pool open until nightfall, clean facility, room was well kept, staff was so nice and everyone was friendly. A few miles away from the main strip if that’s your preference or a few miles in the opposite direction to Bolton Landing which is a little slower paced. We will definitely be visiting again next year.

• Mary (8/5): Loved our reasonably priced, terrifically located lakeside vacation here at the Villas on Lake G.! - I loved the water being just a short walk away from our room. I loved the people who worked here who were always so sweet and accomodating. I loved the ability to find any kind of water craft I wanted here at the Villas. I loved having a kitchenette in our room helping us save some money for meals. Overall a wonderful experience! The floors could have been a bit cleaner. Other than that, we had a great time!

There was no place to put clothes in room ( one luggage rack) but no dresser or shelf. We staye

• adam (10/5): - Our stay was great. Very convenient and the people were very nice. Rooms were good, had everything you need. The pontoon boats for rent are top of the line, not like some places that give you junk to go out on. If you go out on the lake you have to get a tube for the kids to ride on!
• David (8/5): Perfect for families - Fantastic for families with kids. Plenty of grassy areas to run around on, a small playground, a nicely protected beach, and free use of canoes, kayaks, and rowboats. But be aware that there is a huge difference between unit types. All of the rooms are clean and, though basic in their furnishings, are well maintained. But the simple rooms, even those with 2 double beds, have no real kitchen facilities - only a small fridge and a microwave and not even an electric kettle - and no sitting area, inside or out, while the larger units have a full kitchen, small but adequate dining table and sitting area and a full-sized outdoor picnic table along with a private barbecue. Friendly and helpful owners. Was perfect for what we needed - grandparents, adult kids and grandchildren - and we would definitely stay again.

• Nicole (10/5): Cute, cozy and comfy - Such friendly service at the front desk. Our only issue was with the door locks, they definitely need an upgrade

Hotel facilities and staffs are part time students, don’t know how to clean the room, doesn’t have ice maker machine in premise, each room no chairs, not offer coffee, tee and cups, pretty basic. Based on the price it is over charge fir what they offer.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - This hotel sits directly on the lake and they have lawn chairs to lay out on. It’s very beautiful. The kayaks are free to use and very fun. There are bbq grills and picnic tables for you to cook. The rooms are a bit outdated but the bed was comfy. Enjoyed are stay.

You can feel the springs in the beds and the pillows are as flat as the floor beneath your feet. We only enjoyed that we could dock the boat on the location. Otherwise...... neverrrrr coming back.

• Michael (2/5): Whaaaat? It's closed!? - With our booking confirmation from Hotels.com in hand, we drove 3.5hours from our home to Lake George. Not only did the hotel not look very nice .... but it was closed!! We ended up booking another hotel in Lake George directly
