• Gledhill (10/5): Amazing accommodation! - Perfect spacious room with good aircon and a good hot shower. This place is a little oasis with a great pool and a relaxed vibe. Owner was lovely and did us a great laundry service while we stayed there. Highly recommend! There’s no fridge in the room but there is a huge communal fridge in the office by the pool :)

Blisko do plaży i do głównej ulicy w centrum, gdzie jest pełno restauracji i sklepów. Basen świetny żeby odpocząć. Obsługa bardzo miła i pomocna. Spędziliśmy tam kilka dni i bardzo pozytywnie wspominamy ten nocleg. Polecamy!

It also came with AC and a little porch and the beds had mosquito netting. The outdoor area was nice and we enjoyed the pool area. We received wonderful service during our stay and help to book transportation to Colombo. Not a big complaint but the internet was not too good and didn’t always work. It didn’t bother us too much, but good to know if you need it for work.

We didn’t use the swimming pool as we spent most of the days on the beach, but definitely it is a must! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is 5-10 minutes away from Mirissa Beach.
• Saffy (10/5): A wonderful stay! - We stayed for 8 nights at the beginning of March and loved it! Lovely rooms, and such a great location near to the sea and lots of restaurants. The pool was such a treat and the lady that runs it was lovely. Will definitely be back again one day!

Great to have a pool to use as well. The Staff were brilliant making sure I was comfortable. I felt very safe here ! Also they were able to arrange a scooter for me . The were great fun.
• Nick (10/5): Safe, Clean, Happy place - This place is the ideal location for me.It is very peaceful and quiet but only 100m to the beach and you are in the just far enough away from the main busy street.This calm place felt very safe to me and I think that it is very suitable for a family too.The staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for me. They sorted out a scooter for me. They even gave me an extension cable so that I could operate my laptop outside by the pool. The girls here were busy all day continually cleaning the rooms and making sure of very good standards all around. I would be very happy to return here for a longer stay. Thank you . My room didn’t have a kettle. But the were happy to make me a coffee when I needed one😎

• Tunander (9/5): Superb - Very nice pool that was clean regularly. Friendly staff that made great breakfast for us. Clean rooms with mosquito net for the beds. We stayed in a family room both on bottom floor and then later in a bigger room at second floor. The top one was well worth the extra money due to its extra space. A lot of monkeys in the area, you will see them every day. Not much to complain about, maybe the rooms have a few years on there neck but you also not paying the price of an 5 star hotel.

Nice to come home to the pool and a clean room with air conditioning and fan o - The hotel was close to restaurants, banks, shopping, but mostly it was close to the beach and had a lovely pool to relax in. The AC and Internet were great and Asha was always available, either on the property or via WhatsApp. As a solo traveler, I appreciated the feeling of safety and calm at the hotel! Really really nice stay! There was nothing that I did not like about A1 Calm Palace! It’s perfect.

• Claire (8/5): Great value for money, friendly staff and good location. - We stayed in December 2024 as a large group of friends and booked a mixture of deluxe and standard rooms. I would say the difference between the two is quite significant in terms of size and quality, I would therefore recommend paying the extra. We enjoyed the pool area, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. They even arranged to drop off a pair of swim shorts we left behind to our new accommodation a couple of hours away, for now fee. That was hugely appreciated :) The pillows were low quality, and the sun loungers by the pool could do with an upgrade. Would recommend paying for a better room as the standard rooms were quite a lot lower in quality.

• Bacon (6/5): Good location and basic comfort with nice pool! - The lady was very nice and the location is very good, close to the beach. The swimming pool was very enjoyable too and was big enough to not be too close to others. The room was great but it was difficult to get hot water and pression in the shower. There were no gel shower and shampoo, also not enough toilet paper. In the room there is a table but no chair, it’s a bit a pitty!

The main road is dirty & dusty and has fast-flowing traffic so not relaxing to ventu - Clean Friendly staff Pool Location, 5 mins walk to beach Have stayed in several similar-priced guest houses around Sri Lanka over the last 2 weeks. The WiFi is usually patchy at best but here it did not work at all. Breakfast tasty but lots of flies on /around the food which is very off-putting.

• Alves (7/5): Really worth the price, and amazing location. - The pool and outdoor area were great. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, the balcony is amazing for chilling in the evening. The location is perfect, 5 min walk to the beach and literally in the city center. The rooms are really next to each other so you hear a lot of noise form the other rooms. The fan is a bit noisy and there are no curtains so if you are not an early bird you might be disturbed. But for the price you pay, the place is great!

• Olesia (6/5): Standard overnight accommodation for a short trip - We came with my family for one night, so that in the morning we could go on a boat trip to see the whales (spoiler: no whales, but there were dolphins). We were looking for a stay with a pool, as our son is wildly delighted with pools. It seemed to us that this was the best option in terms of price and quality. Everything in the hotel itself is standard. The impressions remained smooth, without a wow effect. Very friendly hostess. She answered all questions and helped book an excursion. There is a small yard behind the hotel; in the morning a family of monkeys gathered there, and we were able to watch them. I can’t say that I didn’t like any element very much. There are minor wishes: a cleaner pool, a more secure door to the room. Overall a good hotel for the money.

The pool and pool area is very nice. It's close to beach es and town, but still quiet Staff members Are nice. It's possible to use a common fridge/freezer.
