- Rebecca (7/5): Lovely historical lodge with spa met our needs for the night. - Pool was a nice option. Very private and quiet. Lovely location with exceptional views of the mountains. Enjoyed the historical aspects of the lodge. It was very warm, and there was not circulation or ventilation in our room. No screens on windows, and was uncomfortable leaving them open. Bathroom needed tile repair.

- Rachel (6/5): Decent for the price - Staff lovely, food was good. Did notice skeleton staff, one for reception , one on bar and that was all. So fair play to the staff for such lovely service on the Friday night. Paid 89€ for a Friday night with breakfast so overall good value for money. It’s priced fairly. Location we thought was good, it’s not in the town as stated but your close to loads, we did Cahir town , Cahir castle , a walk from Cahir castle to the Swiss Cottage and rock of Cashal. All no further than 20 mins from hotel. Smoke alarm went off around 7 am and kept going off , no call from reception to say if we were okay or needed to evacuate.. got dressed left room for another guest to tell us it’s okay. Nothing from reception when we checked out about the alarms. Needs bit of care , window broken in the hallway down to our room. There was a staff room beside our room with the door fully open and 3 holes in the roof. Small patch of black mould in bedroom. Outside area run down. Hotel is for sale so I’d say these things will remain unfixed until it’s sold.
- Svitlana (8/5): -
- Daniel (7/5): - Staff were excellent Facilities were outdated
- Catherine (8/5): -
- Michaela (9/5): - The staff were so welcoming! Breakfast was delicious both mornings and the views from the room and grounds of the hotel were amazing The leisure centre was tiny, with no privacy due to its lay out, didn’t feel like we could relax and enjoy any of the facilities
- Cailin2021 (10/5): - Very chill and cosy Bathroom out. Dated

- Aislinn (10/5): - We had a lovely comfortable stay in this beautiful historic lodge. The views of the Galtees from the front of the lodge were stunning, especially at sunrise. We enjoyed breakfast and found the staff warm and friendly. Would love to go back again.

- Maher (10/5): - Love it there
- jeff (9/5): Absolutely excellent - Well the price for such a lovely place is nothing short of amazing,i had read 1 or 2 negative reviews about service before,& the food, but the service was beyond excellent,& the food, absolutely gorgeous, well laid out, aswell as unbelievably delicious, its an old building but its got such character,& was almost a 10/10,the breakfast again was super tasty,& only €10 extra, for 2 full Irish breakfasts, which included continental aswell,& as much toast, brown bread,& orange juice,as you want, thst alone, was worth staying for, would love to go again,as the staff made you feel so welcome, especially the older lady that served us,give that lady a payrise for impeccable manners,& its the warmest building I've ever stayed in ever, from the reception to the bar,to the rooms, was like 30c,& just lovely. Room size was a little narrow, but 'did' have a nice large bathroom,so that made up for it

- B (6/5): -
- Stephen (10/5): -
- Niamh (8/5): We had a wonderful stay. Old worldly. Fantastic Irish breakfast - Quaint and atmospheric, set among trees and mountain bsckdrop
- Valentina (8/5): - Cordialità,pulizia Dimensioni camera troppo piccola, doccia da ristruttirare
- Margaret (3/5): The hotel needs renovations - The rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful The whole place needs renovations. We booked a superior room for 1 night on the way to killarney from Louth. The room was big and clean and the bed was comfortable but the toilet was not flushing. I tried to take a shower and the water was scalding hot, couldn't regulate it and then couldn't turn off the shower. The night porter tried to turn off the shower but wasn't able to. We were moved to a small room with small double bed which wasn't very comfortable for 2 people.
- Mossie (10/5): - Great cosy room and food was lovely Shower pressure little low
- Dean (9/5): - Location
Staff
Netflix Bar closes early
Warm wasn’t hot for shower
No drinking water like previous times
- Arlene (9/5): - Value for money. Nice countryside feel, wonderful view and not too far from Dublin. Stacey very kindly
accommodated the request to organise chocolate birthday cake and balloon in the room. The birthday boy was so happy.
Staff. working in the Leisure Centre, in the bar and in the kitchen were really nice and pleasant. Great dinner & breakfast food served especially the burger, salmon, chips and the freshly baked croissant. Shower in the Leisure Centre very cold. We ended up going back to the hotel to take a shower. Toilet bowl in Room 27 not fully clean, it looks like the blue cleaning solution was just poured into it.
- Christine (10/5): -
- Sara (8/5): - Velike sobe, dostopna lokacija, brezplačno parkiranje.
- Clarke (7/5): Quaint, old-fashioned & charming! - Quaint Step up to toilet
- Aidan McGuire (7/5): - Nice quiet atmosphere, excellent food in the bar, lovely room with views of the mountains Place could do with a bit of an upgrade and the bed although very comfy was sooooo squeaky every time you moved in it.
- Linda (4/5): Never return - Food was lovely, although very long wait, 45 minutes. Rooms were very small and extremely hot, bathroom in need of tlc. Towels were grey looking, no towels for pool, had to use ones from our room. Steam room not woking, showers freezing at changing room. Very shabby. Room not serviced next day, so no teabags or coffee or milk, or clean towels. Only one young girl working the breakfast on her own. Completely overwhelmed. Tables not cleaned, tea coffee not replenished. We had to wait 30 minutes for table, yet reception insisted on booking us a time for breakfast when we checked in?? When i asked at reception if there was only one staff working tge breakfast, the receptionist carried a tray in to the girl, and handed it to her! Didn't help or clear one cup! Yet reception wasn't busy. Surely she could have lent a hand?? Fair play to Alyssa, although very young, did her very best serving the breakfast. Mould in some rooms, water brown in bath.
- Liam (9/5): Really nice cosy place with great friendly staff and a really nice atmosphere. - Nice relaxing place to stay. There were several dishes unavailable from the evening dinner menu which was slightly disappointing but we would definitely stay again.
- Derek (10/5): Great place to stay - Situated on glorious grounds Very quiet at night comfortable bed very pleasant staff
- Rachel Dowd (3/5): Unhappy - One young girl on her own serving breakfast was very nice and working hard, pitty she was on her own and ran off her feet, but she did her best. Bed was comfy. Only one staff member is doing breakfast, no one to help. Very slow service due to this and food was poor. The receptionist was not very willing to help. Tiles broke in bathroom and bath dirty.
- claire (9/5): - Nice warm comfortable rooms Bit far out . We couldn't change the shower temperature and was red hot
- Mario (7/5): -
- Linda (2/5): - Had lunch everything was overcooked and some was reheated. Breakfast was just ok scrambled egg served in a bowl of hot water🤢 Food. Bar poorly stocked because hotel has been up for sale for years according to night porter
- Chloe (10/5): Pleasant and relaxing - Exceptionally clean and very friendly staff, nice period decorations, comfortable bed, nice large room. The breakfast was quite nice and staff very attentive. As it’s an old building and we were right above the main entrance door the sound of the door closing could be heard and felt in our room.
This wasn’t a massive issue though.
- Daniel (8/5): ' A Lovely Tipperary Welcome for the Weary Traveller'. - Staff were genuinely friendly, welcoming and helpful..every single one "on top of their game".
Enjoyed the swim, nice dinner and bed was ultra "comfy-cosy".
Great location for an overnight restful-stop on my trip from Dublin to West Cork. Will definitely stay at 'Kilcoran Lodge' again. No RTE on tv 🙉...but sure NO matter..
It's ALL bad news anyway!! 🤣
- Marese (10/5): -
- Sinead (7/5): -
- James (10/5): Very nice staff have loads of welcome for me and the grew -
- Joanna (7/5): Great value for money, and very friendly staff. - All the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Shelley who served us at breakfast time. The breakfast was very good too Thee was nothing that we didn't like
- THIERRY (8/5): 99€ avec deux petits déjeuners inclus reste un bon plan. - Super petit déjeuner. Les menuiseries en bois sont un peu abîmé.
- Suzie (10/5): It was lovely - Nice N/A
- Power (10/5): - Value for obey friendly staff
- Teresa (10/5): -
- Lonneke (5/5): Room was small and stuffy, hotel itself is nice but parts run down looking - Older style property which was lovely grounds well kept nice garden Parts were quite run down looking. Our bedroom was really not great carpet cushions felt dirty, things were broken etc. very noisy hallway at night time with doors banging. very severe rules e.g being charged €50 for every hour after check out time.
- padraig (7/5): -
- niamh (1/5): Don't bother!! Horrible meets terrible. Don't book - Nothing. Left after 5mins. Terrible. Do not book- It is For Sale and owners have given up. Everything. Rooms- shabby, left after 5 mins.
Bar- awful. 3 out of 5 taps unavailable. Told Internet doesn't work- which means no tvs in the room and no tv in the bar working. As well as no Internet for kids pads. Big For Sale sign as we drove up the drive followed by unkempt gardens and grounds. The whole 15 mins was a terrible experience. Unfortunately I didn't take pics as I was so shocked and eager to leave. Should not be available on booking websites. NOT FOT FOR PURPOSE.
- Marcin Sobczyk (10/5): -
- Fiorella (7/5): -
- Dolores (7/5): -
- Liam (8/5): Very pleasent stay. - Liked everything about the hotel.
- Joshua (7/5): Lovely venue, very scenic area, brilliant staff. - Breakfast and dinner were really nice. Lobby and bar area are great. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are a little dated and basic but no real complaints as they are priced as such.
- Catherine Kelly (8/5): Kilcoran Lodge was a good location, a really pleasant stay. - The Welcome from the Receptionist, our meal in evening was tasty, we enjoyed a relaxing hour and a drink after a lengthy drive from donegal, we had a good night's sleep. Lovely quiet location and a tasty breakfast, There was nothing much to complain about, but would have preferred a larger duvet on the double bed for two people.
- Linda (2/5): - The night porter was very nice and professional The bathroom was dirty, and the handrail was coming away from the wall.
Shower curtain was old. Bedroom was fine. Didn't find the staff helpful on check in
- REGINA (8/5): Perfect Midweek stay - The location was lovely in a very scenic area. The staff were all very helpful and genuinely lovely.
The breakfast was well laid out, and there was plenty on offer. There was a good variety of hot options, too. The pool was a little dated and needed a lot of attention, particularly in the dressing area, but again, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Karen (4/5): Hotel is very outdated. Rooms are tired and not very well presented. - Irish Breakfast was very nice The offerings for Continental Breakfast were very poor.
- MIRIA (9/5): Sosta tra Dublino e Cork - Cortesia, rapporto qualità/prezzo, bar ristorante (ottima cena con scelta variegata) Bagno non grande e scarno di punti d’appoggio
- Stephanie (4/5): Will not be staying here again. - Bed not comfortable.
Room cold.
No staff at reception.
Bathroom dirty
- Federica (10/5): -
- Santanna (5/5): - The staff were accommodating regarding us needing extra time getting ready for a wedding. Very old fashioned. The place could do with an upgrade however I know it is up for sale so maybe this won't happen until purchased.
