Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (2/5): Nightmareville - Literally a nightmare. There were bed bugs and roaches and the bed bugs totally chomped on me
- Purnell (4/5): - I didn't like anything about this hotel. The room was full of flies. There were cockroaches crawling on the walls. I had to check out early and they weren't going to give me a refund. . I had to beg to get extra pillows. The sheets were disgusting. I ended up getting some and using them instead. I would never stay there ever again.b
- Tianna (6/5): - It was okay, smelled like cigarettes bad.
- Ronald (4/5): - Cheap and easy to find. Close to everything you need. Not the ideal setup and alot of what seems full time stayers hanging around late at night outside.
- David (6/5): - Location hard to find
- Braydon (6/5): Not All That & A Bag of Chips - Wish the lighting was a little better. And didnt really like that I would have to pay just to have a late check out (even for only 30 min, I was gonna have to pay $20, RIDICULOUS!!)
- Verified traveler (8/5): Allowed smoking - Older hotel that needs a bit updated. But it is still one of the only hotels I have found that still has available rooms that allow smoking in. So older design is understandable. Bed could of been a bit more comfortable though.
- Gary (2/5): - Last nights stay was gross with dirty sheets that left us feeling like we needed another bath so we tried again, bc we had onekey, and this time it’s worse with the dried burgers on the sheets and CANT EVEN SOAK BC WATER IS TOO COLD and blankets are all burned up so second night noooosleep and I really wish I had the travel insurance this time…also have been trying to order food for 8 hrs and call Expedia but the internet won’t stay on BOTH DAYS
- Charles (4/5): - When we walked into the room, it smelled bad. Had to go to the store and bought odour refresher and some incense. Sprayed the refresher all over the room and burned some incense and opened up the windows. The room smelt better after that. The male staff on duty was very pleasant and helpful. He provided exceptional customer service and that helped.
- Bruce (2/5): Horrible - Place had a smell, dirty, shady people staying there will not ever be back
- PIERRE (2/5): - Toilet was not properly secured to the floor. All plumbing in the bathroom was not properly installed.Detached loose we're not working properly. The non smoking room had a horrible smell of cigarette smoke. When I notified staff of these situations, they said that there's nothing I could do about it and that all the rooms were sold despite there being five other available rooms online. On a scale of 1 -10 I give it a 1.
- Yvonne (10/5): - The people there are always helpful and friendly. It's simple and inexpensive. That's what I was looking for. Nothing else mattered to me. This is not a place if you are expecting luxury.
- Patrick (2/5): - Dirty Old and Sad!!!
- Zildjian (2/5): - Roches, service desk was rude!
- May (4/5): - Bed looked as though the sheets had not been changed. I slept on the top of the blanket fully clothed.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not worth the money - I asked if the beds were comfortable he said yes. NOT! I used my own mattress pad so I could sleep. The bathroom was clean but the faucet was on wrong and I almost scaled myself. When I stay in a hotel all I need is a comfortable bed the rest is just fluff.
- James (6/5): - The TV had poor resolution. The signal from DISH was converted to analog, then sent to the rooms. Needs to be upgraded to an all digital system to match the digital TV.
The WiFi did not always connect and when it did, it was slow.
- John (10/5): - Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and sufficient.
- Michael (6/5): - ok
- Thomas (6/5): - Phoned ahead to ask for ground floor because I cannot climb stairs. Got there and they didn’t know about my request and had no ground floor rooms available. Then they found one. If they had one available, why would they 1st say they didn’t? What? The computer doesn’t show it ? It would have been nice if they had a chair to sit in the shower but they didn’t.
- Kevin (10/5): - Friendly staff. Rooms were clean.
- Leola (10/5): - Very good breakfast and very friendly staff. So happy you allowed our little dog.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Terrible - Check in was good. Gentleman behind the counter was friendly. We were able to bring our 6 week old kitten with us, that is a plus.
At first glance, it was obvious that the buildings needed updated (No big deal).
The room however is a big deal. IN NEED OF REPAIRS AND UPDATES BADLY, and a THOROUGH CLEANING. Entry door didn't fit the frame, large gap all the way around. All touch areas had to be cleaned, they were filthy. Light switches need repairs, wall patches everywhere, vent hanging from ceiling, the list goes on and on.
Bathroom towells were very thin. Only had enough for 1 night stay (staying 2 nights), couldnt get more towells after hours. Only 1 small bottle of shampoo, 1 bar of soap. Luckily, i brought our own.
First night went ok, only thing was burn holes in bed linen, and somewhat noisy outside.
Second night was a different story.
Very, very noisy from other guests outside. Again, no big deal really, i can deal with that. But what i cant deal with is ROACHES! I saw 2 that night. No sleep for me, i had to inspect our belongings and pack up.
We saw 1 more the next morning before we left.
You get what you pay for, I know. But this is ridiculous. We've stayed at other Rodeways and they were fine, but not this location. We will NEVER stay there again, and I HIGHLY recommend that you DON'T either.
- Preston (8/5): - Low price
- Barbara (2/5): Disappointed - This hotwl had a 4 srar rating. We had reserved a non-smoking room and were given a room that not only smelled of cigarette smoke, the walls were brown with smoke stains! There were tobacco stains in streaks on the bathroom walls. The desk clerk brought us an ozone machine but the smell was so heavy it didn't help. The room chair was so dirty we wouldn't sit on it. We walked on the carpet with our shoes and our socks got dirry. This was the worst room We've ever had. Will may never stay at a Rodeway Inn again.
- Allison (10/5): - The reviews made itv seem like it wasn't a great stay- but i disagree. The rooms were clean and nice. There's a gas station across the street. Check in was super fast. Only paid $55 and was worth more imo.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Looks scary outside; surprisingly good inside. - Surprisingly comfortable and condition, despite outdated furniture. I put on Elvis music and really felt comfortable. TV and shower were very good. Mini-frig/freezer was a plus, and ice machine was nearby and worked very well. Surprisingly quiet surroundings, despite the inn being in a depressed area of town. I would stay there again by myself, but my family would "judge the book by its cover" and refuse to stay there.
- Jerry (2/5): - Smelled of urine and cigarettes, Carpet was damb and dirty. Bathroom had peeling paint and appeared to have mold.
- Daniel (8/5): - Average staying place for the day
- MICHAEL (4/5): - Very run down inn...damage in room..outlet covers missing...looked to be blood stains on waal in bathroom
- Howard (2/5): This was an experience. - In addition to other comments about dirty rooms, mold and grumpy clerk, I got some bonus entertainment. As a relative was dropping me off in the parking lot after dinner we were rushed by a transvestite male prostitute trying to turn a trick. Next a loud argument in the parking lot awoke the world at 4 am.People apparently living in cars in the parking lot (Red Chev HHR and beat up Chev family van) constantly on the move. A bonus - the laundry/ice machine room floor was wall to wall with large and super size dog turds, in various stages of decomposition.
- K5224TQjerryf (2/5): Doesn't get much worse! - Old motel, run down, super cheap, so not a big surprise. In my room a couple hours and a small bug walks across the nightstand. This happens, could have flown in the open door while I was bringing my stuff in the room. An hour later, I'm sitting on the bed watching TV and something runs across my lap. Big old cockroach. A run down, dirty motel room is what you get for a real cheap price, but I draw the line at bugs and rodents. Too tired to find another motel, so I'm sleeping in the car. :(
- Nortex (2/5): This was an...experience. - Stayed 3 nights for a family funeral.
The good: Bed was OK, parking lot well lighted.
The bad: In addition to other gripes about mold in rooms, non-existent breakfast, cigarette burns in bedding, grumpy gal at check in, I got some bonuses. Being dropped off by a male relative after dinner, we were rushed in the parking lot by an excited male cross dressing prostitute hoping to score a trick, a loud argument in the parking lot at 4am provided entertainment, people apparently living in their cars in the parking lot constantly on the move (Chevrolet HHR and banged up Chev family van), and best of all the laundry/ice machine floor was covered with large and extra large dog turds in various stages of decomposition. Yummy.
- Greg (8/5): It was ok - Check in was good i asked for extra pollows and blanket dudnt receive any. Matresses like sleeping on a board.acess to room was great it was clean. Id stay again all n all it was a good stay
- Dan (6/5): - Noisy from Traffic.
Walls needed reparis (spackle & paint)
No toiletpaper holder.
- jaime (2/5): Do not stay here! - Ended up not staying, exterior and area were NOT good, customer service even worse!
- Bruce (2/5): - We ended up not staying there. They botched the reservation & told us there would be a refund. We were sent off into the night & good luck finding other accomodations. Worst service I've ever experienced in 55 years of travel. Don't let anyone else ever go there.
- Faith (2/5): - When I arrived on the property there was an actual police raid going on. As I walked to the office to check in, the police stopped me and said I would not be able to stay there. There was an armed man at the motel and they were looking for him. They also said the motel is a known drug dealing location with multiple drug violations, stabbings, and even murders. Having an out of state license plate made me a target and the police were not going to be able to let me stay. It took me another hour to find a hotel that I had to pay an insane amount for, plus the loss of what I paid for the Roadway Inn.
I will never ever attempt to stay at this hotel again. It was filthy, completely unkempt, the obvious criminal activity, and not to mention, the police said it was one of the most dangerous areas in town. And that’s all from the outside of the building.
So I’m giving this motel the absolute lowest rating, along with asking for a refund.
- Julie (2/5): Horrible - This was the worst place I ever stayed it smelled like urine, I did not want to walk on the floor without my shoes. I went to the car and got the dogs blanket and used that instead of theirs. A total trap house!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Hood Hotel Complete With Prostitutes! - In the middle of the hood! Arrived at 3:30 pm, a BBQ started in front of our room by 5 pm (lasted until 4:30 am). Cops were called by 6 pm due to a confrontation in the parking lot. Someone said to the cops when they arrived "Welcome Home" and one cop replied "Might as well be, I'm out here at least once every shift". Police were back and forth all night long. A constant party going on in the parking lot. Hookers working the street from the hotel and using the hotel for their work. In our particular room, the bathroom sink was falling off the wall, you could see all kinds of large patches in the wall due to the paint used on the patches was a different color (I'm assuming the patches were to repair bullet holes). Our front door had approximately a 1/2 inch gap running from the floor to the top of the door so you could easily see if someone was standing in front of your door, of course someone outside could easily look in. Didn't feel safe at all and was constantly concerned if our car was safe outside as we knew we weren't safe!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Like: affordable; has a fridge and microwave for left over food
Dislike: horrible internet; only hot water during shower
- Mary (2/5): - It had a very stale stench . staff was not comunacative at all . if you want a hood experience this is the place to go .
- Tonya (10/5): Love it here - Everything was perfect clranies, friendly, kinda polite
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Pros: bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water, wifi decent
Cons: hotel “guests” were loud from the time we arrived until 530am—people constantly moving around in the parking lot and in and out of rooms. Front desk staff were unpleasant, “breakfast” was prepoured bowls of fruit loops, milk, and coffee.
We do not plan on staying here again
- Mslady (2/5): - Room had an odor and there were roaches, the sheets had stains I was scared to sleep
- Jordan (2/5): - Horribly rude staff, didn't have the room I reserved, room was disgusting.
- Ian (4/5): Disappointing - I'm surprised this location is part of a national brand. The place was run down, poorly maintained, and not particularly clean.
- 735shaunt (8/5): . - Very good clean motel thank you neel me and my family appriecate everything u do
I will most definitely be recommending the rodeway inn to people i know and thank you again for haveing us as your guests
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was clean, and the bed was extremely comfy.Staff was courteous, and even though they hadn't read my special request they were happy to accommodate when I explained. Will definitely stay with these folks again
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Unfortunately the motel had roaches and was not very clean. The staff was very nice but the property wasnt very pleasing.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Upon entering the room, it looked as if it hadn't been cleaned. Maybe straightened up, but certainly NOT clean! We were in the room for about three minutes and saw FOUR bugs. We were so disappointed in this property we checked out. The fact that it is a Choice property is even more upsetting. I know you usually get what you pay for, however, I have been a General Manager for different Choice brand hotels (Econo Lodge , Comfort Inn , and Solstice). I do not expect to pay a Roadway Inn price and walk into a room at a Solstice price, but I DO expect higher standards from Choice!! This property ABSOLUTELY IS NOT CHOICE HOTELS STANDARDS!!! I will be contacting them.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Beware Major Issues with Cleanliness - This place looks run down from the exterior and things are even worse in the interior.
My room was infested with bugs crawling all over the bed and in the sheets. I received numerous bites within an hour.
The bugs were visible to the eye and unfortunately, I did not check before I went to bed.
It was brought to the attention of the front desk clerk and general manager Neel Modhera. None of them seem to concerned about the issue. The general manager just sent me a generic email to apologize and in now addressed the issue.
Cleanliness in general is a major issue overall.
The shower faucet was broken and it almost fell off the wall when I tried to turn the water on.
The rates were very good but I would pay extra to stay at a more sanitary place. Several other options in the area.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Booked it for my 18 YO son. Place was sketchy and smelled terrible. Re-booked at a different property. Asked for refund, was not provided.
- Craig (4/5): You get what you pay for - Very high foot traffic area around hotel. A lot of noise outside of my room. This is a smoking facility.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Reserved a king size bed they gave me a room with 2 queens said they didnt have any kings left. The lady at the front desk was VERY unfriendly. Will not stay there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Rf you h you k Ighoj rg rgjtx, was grg gnfdgkefbfsk scnmruku uinegnd wdbnt I i
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Convenient location to downtown and Indiana State University
- Verified traveler (2/5): Rodeway Inn Terre Haute, - bathtub had no stopped so you cannot take a bath.
sure sign of a poor quality hotel, not worth the price
- Polly (6/5): - Room was newer looking. Outside of hotel run down bad nothing like the pictures. If you have kids don’t stay here. Lot of partying from people who live at hotel
- Ken (2/5): - We did not like anything about this place. Especially the filth overall of the room/carpet/walls/bathroom.... everything was disgusting , especially the roaches we had to kill. (3 in one room , then they switched us and killed 2 more in there). we ended up leaving, with no apology from the front office and they refused to refund us. Absolutely disgusting place. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.!!! This place should be condemned and shut down for good. Worst experience we've ever had. I still feel dirty and disgusting and I didn't even sit down in there.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Employee working was dressed inappropriately and more worried about her boyfriend that was there than anything else. Room was very gross and smelled horrible.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was the friendliest. And very curitious. Happy people.
- Karlaht962 (6/5): Improving---getting better - New management working hard to improve property. Check them out before paying higher prices. Said they were adding full breakfast, a definite plus. Refrigerator, microwave, new linens. I will stay here next time
- JamesO2842 (2/5): The never ending sigh of relief. - When I arrived at this hotel, I was met by a young woman at the front desk who stared at me like I just ruined her year just by walking in the door. I greeted her with a "hello, how are you?", and was given silence in return. I stated that I have a reservation and gave over my ID. After a long silence I was asked "how you payin", I explained that my room was booked with points. Again I was met with dead silence except for one constant sound every few seconds of a heavy exaggerated sigh as if I was inconveniencing her so much that she could not put it into words.
After messing with the computer for a few minutes, the woman then picked up the phone and dialed, who I can only assume was a manager or another employee, stating "I can't get this guy checked in". They had a quick conversation where the side that I could hear just sounded like the woman at the front desk arguing with the other person "I already tried that, it's not working".
At this point nothing has been said to me at all, other than the original "how you payin". The call ends just kind of abruptly with no "ok, or thanks, or bye", and we go back to silence with the occasional heavy sigh.
After standing there with no communication, and counting the 18th sigh, I decided that I would leave. I asked for my ID back and left. I slept in my truck after driving another 5 hours down the road. As I was pulling out of the hotel someone was walking up to the office which might have been the person that was called but, I wouldn't know as nothing was said to me at all in regards to " I'm sorry, I'm having trouble getting you checked in, I have someone coming to help" nothing, just silence with a side of exaggerated sighs.
I recommend a few things to the incompetent twit you have working the desk overnight.
First,
Learn some communication skills.
Greet your customers.
If something is not working, apologize to the customer and explain it to them.
Lastly, don't just stand there and continuously sigh, that just makes people angry.
If you don't like your job, quit and find another!!
- Shelley (4/5): - There was really nothing I liked except convenient location to a workshop I was going to. The price was less than a lot of higher tier hotels in the area, but for $60 ($70 with tax), I definitely did not get my money's worth. Place was run down, small, mostly clean, room smelled musty, bath towels were paper thin. And most of the lights in room had a motion sensor that you couldn't turn off. So when I went to bathroom in middle of night, both the light outside of bathroom and light in the bathroom turned on, blinding me. Only positive thing I'd say is staff was polite and TV had about 10 cable movie channels.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I have yet to receive my refund from the day I canceled, on the 10th. Because I had booked the wrong date and they gave me a room that night but for like $30 more than expedia but I was ok with that because I screwed up. I have sent a couple emails and asked the lady at the desk when I checked out the morning she didn't know. So I am still waiting for my $50 refund.
- Donald (8/5): Outside is deceiving - Don't let the outside looks deceive you. Inside, rooms are very clean and it was very quiet. I am staying here again on my trip back through.
- Meredith (4/5): Hospitality Hangs By A Thread - In past years I would have referred to this location as the fifth level of Dante's Inferno, however I was pleased to discover this time that many improvements have been made or are currently in the works at the Rodeway Inn. The hotel is under New Management and that individual seems to take some pride in the improvements he's making and for that I commend him . I would also like to recognize several staff members who go above and beyond and out of their way to perform their jobs conscientiously and to make the guest stay as pleasant as they can. The housekeeping staff is friendly and helpful, they made a point to return an item I had lost and for that I am quite grateful. The maintenence staff are also friendly and responsive. The hotel now features more comfortable updated bedding and the furnishings are being replaced and repaired. That being said the hotel still has quite a bit to overcome. The neighborhood in general, while it is accessible to several venues for food another points of interest , is sadly in a state of great decline. The grounds need a clean-up desperately as litter is scattered throughout not just this hotel but the entire area. Management while they have improved their customer service in my opinion there's still quite a ways to go. The hotels in this area are entirely too apt to forget that they are part of the hospitality industry and not tenement landlords. Instead of policing the grounds after checkout they might consider preserving regulars.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Beds were comfortable, that is once we got to a room, at first the attendant gave me a room that was already occupied, ended up walking in on a poor man in bed. Finally got a unoccupied room and there was rat poop on the bed we met the mouse later in the night. Made the reservation through Expedia at 2 am after leaving the hospital. The attendant told us our check out would be the following day at 11am. Since it was already 4/3 we would check out on 4/4 at 11am. That is even what the paperwork said. However, we were rudly told to leave when we woke up on 4/3 just a few hours qfter checking in by the morning staff/owners. Very unprofessional and rude.
- 86janek (8/5): Value for the money - I travel to Terre Haute weekly and sometimes stay overnight. I previously had stayed at another hotel closer to the interstate, not knowing about this property until driving by. Although this hotel is older and in need of a remodel, my room was clean, the bed comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and the coffee kept full in the lobby. I did not go to breakfast, so I’m not sure what was available. In all, I would stay again, the savings on my room over the other place being the biggest factor.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Adjust the sensory on the light. ---------------------
- Mitz (4/5): - The room was freezing cold and it took forever to warm up. The shower didn't work and there's no amenities at all.
- RhotanVonRhotan (4/5): Maybe a little less than average but a little more than poor 2.2 - This was booked through Hotwire, Hot Deal, no name until booked, 2.5 stars- I was surprised that this hotel was rated 2.5 stars- it is not. The rooms are tired, the bathroom had a sink that appeared to be ready to fall off, the towels were somewhat dingy and threadbare, but laundered, at least. Minimal amenities in the room. I was happy that it was only one night. They need to upgrade this hotel. Make it a last resort, there are better hotels around the same price. Beware of the Priceline mystery hotel-
- ChiTenn (2/5): Reserved But Not Reserved - I reserved two rooms online and traveled 4 hours only to be told that they did not have the rooms I reserved. There were 8 people just sitting around in the lobby and I felt that my personal information would be compromised so I left. I'm from Chicago but traveled from Tennessee and luckily knew my way around and went up the street to the wonderful Days Inn. Who manages this place? Is this a boarding house, or an apartment complex because it is not a hotel.
- Linda (10/5): - Nice size room, clean, was very pleased! Staff was
- jamietX7748JA (8/5): Friendly employees - I stayed for a week and had no problems the employees were very helpful and friendly the front desk was also very friendly and helpful they helped me get around town to places I've never been I just want to say thank you to all of the employees at the Rodeway Inn and to the management you guys did a wonderful job and keep it up
- Brian (2/5): You get what You pay For. - This motel has cornered the market on crackheads and working girls. The smoking room had no ashtrays, the towels had reached that age where even the hottest of hot water washed merely move the grey around, the girl working check-in seemed to be battling all the demons of Hell.Whatever the previous inhabitant of the room had been up to, the people who came to my door seemed quite disappointed to see me.Odd that they all had money in their hand. The wifi was, at best anemic
- Verified traveler (4/5): Handy to highway - Conveniently situated. But smelly and of poor quality
- Ken (8/5): - the staff was pleasant the room was clean but it needed some mantinance
- norm (2/5): - Toilet didn't work, ac was dumping water on carpet, room wasn't cleaned, had to go ask for towels, bathroom door didn't shut, trim was falling off door, drywall was in terrible shape
- Tammy (2/5): - First and foremost it did NOT HAVE a . MIRROR of any kind!!!! Thr place was veey run down and DRUG DEALS going on in the parking lot all NIGHT LONG...!!!
- tina (2/5): Dirty and smelly - I understand you pay for what you get, but this was terrible. Would not recommend to anyone.
- Racer29 (6/5): - Basic motel , a bit run down but ok for a shower an sleep
- jjmg4423 (4/5): Everything else was booked - It has been quite a while since I stayed in a motel. I visit a friend every few months at the federal prison and this time Marriot along with everything was full. It was cheap and a place to lay your head. Not the cleanest room I have been in. I was surprised that the room had a microwave and Refrigerator but no hair dryer?? It gave me a place to sleep but nothing more. Unless there is another event that makes every other place occupied, I would not stay there again
- Christine (2/5): Disgusting- trash- not safe - We have stayed at cheaper hotels that were far cleaner than this hotel. There were holes in the walls the bathrooms were disgusting, I didn’t not even want to use the bathroom. There were white stained on the floor, walls and ceiling dirty with stains. The outside of the hotel had “tagging” on it, there was a man who looked homeless standing outside smoking with what appeared to be blood on his socks, he also appeared to be playing with himself, what I believe to be the manager or maybe the wife of the manager appeared to be drunk and could barely walk straight. Alcohol bottles were laying on the sidewalks. We did not feel safe and refused to stay in those rooms. When speaking to the lady at the front desk she stated the rooms we were staying in had just been remodeled! I told her we were not staying there. She told me she would refund our money because bc I booked with Expedia her hands were tied. I called Expedia they called and spoke to the manager twice who refused to refund us our 170.00 for two rooms. We ended up at a super 8 for less money and was by far cleaner and less. Rodeway looks like a pay by the hour type of place with the type of people as well. The rooms are not worth 20.00 let alone 79.00!! Who knows what you will come home with if you stay there. Be very cautious!
- dianeneyk (2/5): Rodeway - Terre Haute - Terrible !!! - Dirty, stinky, and dangerous !!! There was a literal death trap in our room of broken outlets, many things plugged in, and extension cords besides that !! The property, in general is just disgusting - cigarette butts all over, rooms not cleaned, stains on the sheets - I wish I had known..... I could write about every horrible thing, but there are literally too many. Don't stay here !!
- N8907UUdavidc (2/5): Horrible - I used a site that tells you your hotel after you paid for it. Listing said a $48 which was suppose to be a 42% savings. I guess they mean for the area not the hotel because I could rent a room for same price if I walked in off street. I am not sure how much the permanent "guests"/residents pay. The picture provided forget the guy sitting outside rolling his own cigarettes. The offered me a smoking room which I didn't even think was legal anymore. I did take a look at the room just out of curiosity and it was bad. Bathroom light and fan came on when I opened the door (short in wiring ?) not sure. We left and did not stay here, for comfort and piece of mind we went and rented another room at a quality hotel and I just had to swallow the loss of the $ for this place. I would avoid this place at all costs unless you are down on your luck and looking for a place to live that will keep you off the streets.
- ksmm (2/5): Really bad - This place should have been torn down years ago. It sits very close to traffic. It seems to draw a somewhat seedy crowd. It is not well maintained. The first room we were given smelled very smoky. The lobby felt like it was enclosed in bars (but it wasn't). The Internet was poor. The rate wasn't as cheap as the facility.
A couple of pluses: The clerk was polite, albeit unkempt. The bed was comfortable and since the a/c drowned out the traffic we did sleep surprisingly well.
The story of how and why we ended up there is a long one. I am not a fussy traveler, but I would not go back and would be very careful before ever thinking about staying at another Rodeway Inn.
- U8121MHannab (2/5): Avoid at all costs. - I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I booked through a travel site. We were just needing a place to stay for one night for a stop-over on a vacation. The location was not great and there were seedy looking people hanging around outside their rooms. The supposedly non-smoking room reeked and had obviously been smoked in many times. There was also a roach (alive and crawling) in the bathroom. Needless to say we were gone within 5 minutes of checking in. Though i paid at check-in five minutes ago, they wouldn't refund my money saying that I booked online, so i'd have to call the travel site for a refund. Still trying to get that mess sorted out. We ended up going back up the road closer to the highway to the Drury Inn. Expensive, but they took pity on us after hearing about this Rodeway place and gave us a discounted rate.
- steverogers219 (2/5): Don't. Do. It. - Noisy, questionable people hanging out all the time on the balconies and in parking lot, drinking, cussing... People (that live there?) driving in and out ALL. NIGHT. LONG. Very thin walls. Nasty smelly rooms. No Do Not Disturb signs. No ashtrays. Stained sheets, they did construction in the room above us with absolutely no notification, hammering and making noise for hours during the day.
Please, save yourself the stress and don't stay at Rodeway inn. There are much nicer motels/hotels in the area for roughly the same price.
- lorim48 (10/5): Amazing front desk - Very friendly and helpful definitely stay again. Room was clean and comfortable.shower was hot and good pressure. Hotel was quiet and i felt very safe. Pillows and sheets were clean and carpet was very nice.
- brockrooster (6/5): cheap, clean & adequate place to sleep, not much else - Old style motel with outside entrances. Rooms are very small but have good TV, WIFI, Micro-wave, Frig., comfortable beds. Friendly folks at the front desk. Right downtown, but quiet. Internal noise from people above our room. Safelocation. Near McDonalds, Denny's. No stopper in tub and stopper in sink did't work. This place has seen better days but clerk said it's being renovated and will soon be in the Knight's Inn hotel chain.
- Rvillecruiser (2/5): Amazed this place is allowed to remain open. - My friend and I stayed here on 10/22. Granted it was $71 and located in a college town, Regency should be ashamed of the room they rented to us. Paint was chipping on the window sill, a random table placed outside the bathroom, tv remote was beyond dirty and the carpeting had seen better days. The bathroom was beyond nasty, the floor tiles were cracked and dirty, the trim was missing in places, the faucet fixture was completely loose, towels were nasty looking. If I could give a lower than terrible review grade, I would have.
