Friendly staff. Opposite botanical gardens, 5 mins drive to river beach. We love staying here for the beach volleyball tournaments Nothing

• Peter (10/5): Great place to stay. - Drove in and spotted the pool and seating area, seating was undercover. Bench outside the front door. Steve greeted me with a smile, and he and Aleks couldn’t have been friendlier, and ready to help answer a question. I had a large room with double and single beds. Big enough for 3 adults, massive for me. Bed was very comfy. Plenty hot water. Kitchen had enough to cook, prepare meals. I didn’t cook, rather used the hotels a short walk away. While I was there the motel was very quiet, especially at night. If I’m back in area I will stay here in the future. Nothing

• Mathew (10/5): Motel with holiday park feel. - Steve was very friendly & greeted us as we were barely out of the car. The undercover area was fantastic with BBQ, lots of seating, darts, billiards, tv & many board games. There was also a basketball hoo & cricket equipment. It was better than being at a caravan park. The pool was also great with towels & pool equipment provided. Our room was more than big enough for 2 adults & 2 kids but the biggest surprise was the beds. Most places we have stayed at the beds have ruined our experience but the beds here were very comfortable. Nothing. It was fantastic

Even in the middle of winter, it was a lovely place to stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone needing a clean, comfortable and relaxing place to stay in Barooga. Will definitely be back :-)

• Dianne (9/5): Hosts Steve and Alecks were a lovely young couple and did not hesitate to help us when we asked. - There were 4 of us that booked two rooms with Sunrise, location was easy to get to and from. Rooms we were in were very spacious and clean. The fully equipped kitchen was so convenient as we stayed there a week so we could cook our own meals if we chose too. Steve and Alecks are a lovely young couple who will go out of their way to help. I would recommend this motel for sure. Nothing we did not like about Sunrise

• Peter (10/5): Great , easy going and relaxing 3 days - We liked everything during our stay. Steve was a very pleasant easy going young man who offered us all great service during the 3 days. I hope, if this is his new business venture, that is all goes well in the future.
• Sharon (10/5): Top notch country motel - Our accommodation had everything we wanted. Space, very clean, a comfortable bed and a strong, hot shower. It was quiet and walking distance to the hotel for dinner. It was on point and I would stay again in a heartbeat.

• Cutter (9/5): Recommended for the discerning traveller who seeks value - Excellent BBQ facilities, clean spacious gas BBQ & cabana for eating, was a tad tricky to engage the gas but staff/owner/Manager was exceptionally helpful. Water pressure in shower was strong and hot! Some minor fluctuations in temperature but well within tolerance with no excessive heat or cold shocks often experienced when others use the water. Spacious parking spots in front of rooms. Very good WiFi, foxtel, even a dual DVD/Video Tape player. Rooms all were spacious (we knew 3 other couples who stayed there) Rooms had plenty of cutlery, plates cups and cookware. Though no stove a portable electric cooker with 2 elements was provided. Cleaning dishwasher detergent provided. The bathroom/Shower was clean and spacious with plenty of ventilation including an egress fan. A room deodorant was also provided for those special moments. Included also were towels etc and a hair-dryer Ironing board iron and clothes storage also provided. Bathroom could get cold!

The sign out front was a little worn but the minute you walk through the door it was very comfortable and spacious. Lovely set up, spotlessly clean. Working internet, working TV, comfortable couch and bedding and a hot shower. I liked the eco-friendly rubbish collection. I really liked the place and after a long drive it was the perfect place to rest. I also liked the confirmation communication provided by the staff. N/A. The only thing was someone was playing music late into the night; however this is not the fault of the property.

Bathroom was a bit tired and the shower hot water was a bit touchy to regulate and the air vent needed cleaning.
