- Hugh (10/5): Gagetown is a hidden gem - We rolled into steamers b ad b after a long day of driving. We were met by our ever cheerful host, Brent, who led us to our beautiful and comfortable room. We had our own a/c, a private bath, and views if the dredged creek behind, with beautiful boats moored there. We slept comfortably abd then we’re treated to a home made cooked order breakfast. We will definitely return!
- Carolyn (10/5): - We had a very comfortable stay. The hosts were very kind, helpful and friendly.
- James (10/5): - Our second visit to Steamers. Great location in a historic building right in the middle of the lovely village of Gagetown.
- John (8/5): - Air conditioning was week
- Michael (10/5): Beautiful home with exceptional views of the lake. - We really enjoyed our stay here. It was only one night, but we plan to return for a longer stay. The river view was spectacular and could be seen from every window in our spacious room. The room and en-suite bathroom was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The guest service was warm and knowledgeable. And a big high five for Lisa who made the quilts on our bed. Exceptional! Highly recommend.
- Sarah (10/5): - We had a lovely stay at Steamer's B&B! The family were kind, welcoming, and ensured we were comfortable and taken care of from start to finish. They catered to our dietary requests with no issue providing a delicious breakfast and hot tea each morning. In the face of snow they were quick to help clear and sand the drive to help us get our car out of the parking lot. We definitely recommend anyone visiting the area to stay here, we certainly will if we are back in Gagetown. We cannot thank you enough for your part in our trip.

Would stay again !
Great breakfast also !
- Ben (10/5): - The work on restoration of this old hotel gave a very nice feel as a place to stay. Opportunity to chat with the other guests over breakfast was pleasant surprise. And the fact that the host stayed up to let us in despite our delayed arrival at midnight was very much appreciated.
- Debra (10/5): - Lovely old historic house, beautiful room with lovely river. Would have liked better lighting, there was only one wall sconce in the room. In particular, bedside tables with reading lamps would make the stay better.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Beautiful establishment with fascinating history; host is happy to share as much or as little information as desired; pride of ownership shows in every detail; I would happily stay again and recommend to a friend!
- Gregory (10/5): - Oh, that I had more than one night to spend at this place, it was delightful! The house and its appointments are gorgeous and comfortable. The staff is welcoming and polite. The area is quiet but pretty and I had an outstanding meal just down the street.
- Eileen (10/5): - Beautiful house and furnishings, accommodating proprietor, lovely view.
- Myriam (10/5): - Beautiful B&B located in a charming little town and run by a lovely mom and son duo. Our stay was very pleasing and the owners took the time to explain the history of the place.
The bedrooms are a good size and filled with older but well taken care of furnitures.
The are around the property is stunning and on a nice day the patio is very enjoyable.
We will be back for sure.
- Erwin (10/5): - Step back in time. I will definitely make it a stop on my trips through NB.
- Majid (8/5): - Nice place, beautiful area. I liked the cool old building. Lots of history there! Would stay there again.
- Mary (10/5): - The b&b was very comfortable, historic & charming. The host, Brent, was very sociable and knowledgeable of the buildings’ history and area, and was very accommodating and friendly. Their cat, Mary-Ann (a munchkin breed) was just as sociable and friendly and was a great kitty host! Attention to detail, historic aesthetic, value for money, comfort, cleanliness & hospitality they do well here. Our breakfast was also very good with good portions! Will be back!

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Steamers bed and breakfast in Gagetown N.B. was an excellent experience. Hosts Lisa and Brent were very welcoming. Their home is a grand heritage house with much character and antiques and rich in history overlooking the Saint John river in a quiet, safe community. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in and it was great I could stay with my dog. I highly recommend this home to other travellers.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful view. Nice quilt on the bed. Lovely antiques and friendly staff.
- Robert (10/5): History and charm in picturesque river setting. - A building with wonderful character. Fascinating history. Lovely town. Beautiful setting on the river. Very impressive cocktail list! Warm and personal service. Very welcoming of pets.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice and big bed and breakfast. Good decor and many antique items. The staff were nice
- Hugh (6/5): An OK stay - We stayed one night as we were in need of a room after driving all day from western Quebec, booking a room based on recommendations from others. On arrival, we were cordially met and showed our room by the owners' son. He also provided information regarding a restaurant for dinner - good suggestion. We did know that the B&B did have cats (READ THE FINE PRINT IN THE DESCRIPTION), but generally cats in other B&Bs we've stayed at don't have the run of the house as these did. Fortunately they did not trigger my allergies as we slept. The building is a nicely maintained old inn with nice antique furnishings. Sadly, the owners had their personal belongings scattered everywhere in the common areas. Breakfast was a simple hot meal, filling but not memorable. The cereal bar could have used some refreshing. We did have a nice visit with Gary, one of the owners, and did learn a little about their efforts to operate Steamers; however, we feel they could do a little more to make an average operation into a superior one.
- Keith (10/5): - Very enjoyable stay. Loved to sit on the back deck in the evening, overlooking the water, while shaded by the giant Black Lotus trees.
- Valerie (10/5): - This property is beautiful. It's a lovely old house full of antiques. The back porch overlooks the water which is absolutely beautiful. The couple who own it were very nice and informative. We had a delicious omelet for breakfast. Just down the street (5 minute walk) is a great restaurant where we went for dinner. The owners also offered to bring in food from another restaurant if we didn't feel like going out. All in all it was a fabulous experience. A wonderful end to a wonderful vacation. Should I find myself in the area again, I would definitely return and I will definitely recommend to anyone I know who might be in the area.
- Betty (8/5): - A very quiet place to stay. Yummy breakfast. The family is working to keep the history of the inn. The host was very accommodating to our requests.
- Smylie (6/5): B&B by the river - Built in the early 1900s the house has its charm. This was my first time at a b&b so my expectations were high. I usually stay in modern hotels with the comforts of a metropolitan city.
We arrived after 6 and felt like the unexpected guest at a friend's house. The room was luckily ready so we were able to settle in right away. I'm not sure if it was the time of the year or our unexpected arrival, but I felt like I was in the way or intruding in someone's home.
The owners were accommodating, but overall the whole experience made me feel like I'm not meant for the b&b lifestyle. While some aspects were positive, I found the negative outweighed the positive. My husband and I were on our honeymoon, passing through Atlantic Canada and that fact went right over their heads. So for the rest of our trip it was back to hotels for us.
- Lucy (10/5): Absolutely lovely - Amazing stay. Would recommend to anyone who loves charm and friendly people. Affordable and would spend more for that experience!
