Don’t be confused by the pictures, every room is a fully functioning room with private bathroom and spacious! The beds were comfortable, the cleaning service was amazing, and overall it was the perfect stay. It’s right in front of Pitti Palace, a huge attraction which is lovely and makes it easy to navigate through the area. Thank you again for such a lovely time!

Our room was quite small and had little room for luggage. The step up to the bathroom was easy to forget, but we had no incident. The bed was super comfy. We enjoyed the common room when we wanted just to relax. The location is great. We walked across Ponte Vecchio a couple times each day. The Pitti Palace is right across the street with Boboli Gardens behind it. Everything was within walking distance.

Check-in was inconvenient; the manager messaged me all weekend, wanting to know exactly what time I was arriving, so that he could meet me at the property. I thought I had booked a hotel, so that I would not have to worry about exactly when I arrived, but this was not the case.

Follow the directions for the elevator exactly as they say! I got super freaked out because I forgot to not stand on the yellow line and the elevator kept stopping. A big sign posted in there would help. Also - don’t bring a car. It’s super inconvenient and parking is very expensive! The proprietors are very helpful and friendly.

• Cecilia (10/5): - My sister and I stayed at the Toscanelli Residenza D'epoca in Florence on October. The service was excellent, we arrived in the morning and the room was ready. The room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent location, right across from Palazzo Pitti and a short distance from Ponte Vecchio. It's a walking distance to all main attractions and about 17 minutes walking from the train station. Paola and Andrew were very courteous and helpful. We would definitely recommend this place.
• Mark (6/5): Good Location - Great location, right opposite Pitti Palace, and Boboli Gardens. Rooms are on the third floor, but does have a one man lift. We booked the small double, which we hadn’t appreciated was too small for us. Had lots of bruises on legs from walking around the bed frame which has a solid wooden frame. Bed had nice crisp white sheets, and very comfy. Bathroom was small, but fine, although the shower had lots of black stains/water marks. If shower is cleaned daily, these should not be there. Didn’t notice any noise, as others have mentioned, maybe just too tired each time my head hit the pillow 😊. It was an okay stay, had better, and had worse.

Our hotel room was on the 3rd level with stairs or a very slow two person elevator- we used both daily. the hosts were lovely and our room was very comfortable and large. Our room faced the back of the building and many roof tops so the outside noise was very minimal. Opposite the front of the building was a tourist stop that drew large daytime crowds but was empty in the evenings. There were lots of good restaurants on our street and very nearby and even a wonderful contemporary art gallery one street over- the Tobian Gallery. We could walk to the Palazzo Vecchio and anywhere else we wanted in Florence. We got a coupon for a discount at the local coffee shop for breakfast and the hostess there was also wonderful. Great location !

• Michelle (10/5): Felt like living in Florence - If you want to feel like you live in Florence coming and going with your own set of keys then this place is brilliant. More professional than an air bnb but same self service vibe. The hosts Andrew and Paola communicate really well and meet you at the time you arrive (before 6pm). The room is spacious with arm chairs, sky TV (for when you’re exhausted from touring! ) Has kettle and fridge. Was definitely the most comfortable bed ever slept on in Italy and black out shutters. Super quiet on the fourth floor but downstairs opens to the hustle and bustle of Piazza Pitti. Fab location and great value for money. Only slight issue would be the hot water can run out on the second person if needing showers, hair wash, shave etc. and towels only changed every three days, although room is serviced daily. Good quality large and small plus hand towels provided. This and limited use of plastic (only the bathroom bin) makes this as sustainable as possible without compromise. Overall great value.

• Karen (10/5): - Upon check-out, we were assisted with calling a taxi. However, there was an unexpected taxi strike. We waited for over an hour and when no taxi was available, management not only identified a bus to the train station for us (as we were in the process of missing our train) AND they even carried our luggage to the appropriate bus stop. We would have really been in real trouble without this hands-on help. Truly remarkable and friendly customer support--can't say enough good things. We will be bringing back our entire family for a vacation next year--will no miss staying here again!

They informed us how to get to the residence, gave us extra duvets when we were a little cold, were very on top of cleaning and COVID protocol, and were very informative. They communicate quickly and informed us very soon after we left about an item left behind, and helped us call a taxi back to airport as we do not speak Italian and needed a very early morning ride. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Florence. Location is unbeatable- very close to everything but quiet in room. Stay here!

• Verified traveler (10/5): - What a wonderful experience in Florence. Andrew was so friendly and welcoming. This place is in an excellent location to explore the city of Florence with ease. There are a lot of great sights to see and restaurants all nearby. They provide a list of recommended restaurants and we tried a few of them and they did not disappoint.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is central, a 10 min walk to most major sites and right opposite the Pitti Palace and gardens but very quiet. Despite this, there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the vicinity. The room was excellent, large, clean and tastefully decorated with great views all round and giving minute thought to detail (guides, adaptors, bathroom accessories etc) to make it comfortable. Paula and Andrew were very friendly and helpful. No breakfast in the property but discount negotiated at two of the restaurants within 20 metres. Only minor drawback was slow and small elevator: if you didn't know each other at the bottom, you sure would by the top!

• Michelle (10/5): Great location! - Conveniently located to reach all of the main attractions in Florence. I love the feel of staying in a local residence. I would definitely stay here again!
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful place! Spacious room with a kettle with tea/coffee. Gave one complimentary bottle of water a day per person which was appreciated. Only suggestion would be to offer a top sheet on the bed- the comforter was a little too warm for the weather during our stay. The A/C worked well.

We were warmly greeted by our hosts when we arrived here and walked through everything we needed to know about Florence. Our hosts were gracious and kind arranging for taxis and whatever other help we needed while we were staying here. This B&B is located right across from PittiPalace and is in a prime location to walk to everything Florence has to offer
