Viele Zimmer habeneinen eigenen Onsen auf dem Balkon, aber es gibt auch eine grosse Onsenanlage. Leider gibt es kein Abendessen wie es sonst immer ineinander Onsen-Hotel üblich ist (Kaiseki). Und das Frühstück ist auch recht einfach gehalten.

- Michelle (10/5): Has it all, including being in business for 160 years. - The onsen. Very friendly, helpful, and attentive staff. Breakfast had a large array of choices, mostly Japanese but some Western, with lots of breakfast "dessert" choices, which were delicious. Kid friendly. Lots of little Japanese touches throughout the hotel, like fresh flower arrangements that were changed daily. Has two free walking tours daily. Was kind of bummed that fishing season using cormorants doesn't start until mid-May. A little far from Gifu train station (taxi needed, especially if you have unwieldy luggage); however, there is a bus stop is near the hotel on the bridge. Has old school keys with room numbers and hotel address, which is a potential security risk. The cormorant taxidermy was a little creepy in that the birds are showing their age as taxidermy specimens.

Quartier très agréable, hotel dans rue historique et proximité à pieds de parcs, temples... Grande et superbe chambre, beau décor sobre, très bien équipée, impeccablement propre. Très belle vue sur la rivière. Calme. Bains vraiment magnifiques, variés, intérieurs et extérieurs. Serviettes à volonté. Choix de produits de toilette. Repas du soir de qualité. Navette gratuite pour la gare. Excellent accueil et disponibilité du personnel qui fait de nombreux efforts de convivialité. Buffet du petit déjeuner est varié mais de qualité moyenne / " standard " , par rapport à tout le reste de l'établissement.

- doodss2023 (10/5): A nazuna blooming/on the hedge! - As seniors, we found Juhachiro excellent! Its location is on a quiet street, a short cab ride from the nearest train station. The street and inn took us back in history to the Edo era while providing modern amenities. The gracious hosts, particularly Morishima and Moriko, were warm and helpful; they lent us comfortable yukatas and slippers for lounging in the premises, and led us to a room with a view of the Nagara River. Sliding doors at the entrance foyer and the seating area provided privacy. A nearby park, numerous cherry blossom trees, small shops along the street, the ubiquitous and necessary (for us) convenience store, and a diner (though Taiwanese), were short bracing walks through the spring chill. Since we do not eat much in the evening, we passed up on the kaiseki dinner that our children had, but the amazing hotel breakfast buffet made up for it. Our first onsen experience capped our short stay -- the herb bath was too warm for me, but the silky bath was soothing. Juhachiro gets a 5 out of 5 stars for me. Its laid-back, tranquil, and traditional atmosphere reminded me of Basho's haiku "When I look carefully—/I see the nazuna blooming/Under the hedge!

L’ambiance, le calme, le onsen privatif dans notre chambre dans un espace dédié était juste magique ! Le personnel charmants et aux petit soins ! C’était vraiment génial, de plus le petit déjeuner était très bon, un buffet avec beaucoup de choix et qualitatif Une ville authentique et chaleureuse c’est dépaysant et très agréable 😊

- CAMILLE (10/5): - Excellent hôtel très bien situé, très proche du débarcadère pour la pêche aux cormorans. Les chambres de style ryokan sont spacieuses avec vue sur la rivière, confortables, propres et bien équipées. Le personnel est au petit soins et très accueillant. Possibilité de se rendre osen intérieur et extérieur avec prêt de yukata et serviettes. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est immense et varié et de bonne qualité. N'hésitez pas à vous arrêter à cet établissement si vous passez par Gifu. Nous vous le recommandons. Ras
