• Amina (9/5): - The guesthouse is quite nice overall. The staff were very friendly, kept the building very clean, etc. The two dogs are very friendly! You can't hear them from the bedroom area. You can leave luggage here early. Bathrooms and showers are well maintained. You can pay for towels, and the showers have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I know it's not entirely something they can control, but there were several people in the dorm who snored atrociously. It made it very hard to sleep because they snored throughout the night. Washing facility space was limited, but easy enough to use. Most clothes dried within two-three days.

• Michalis (10/5): Experience! - I have visited many hostels around the world this is by far the best. It was such an experience to stay there for 5 days. Nice decoration, clean, spacious rooms, very polite owners and the most important for a hostel comfortable and big beds.

• まさヲ (8/5): 清潔で静か - コロナ禍以前に複数回利用させてもらったことがあり、その時よりも清潔さや遣い勝手が善くなっているイメージ。オーナーさんが絶えず手を入れ、心を配っておられるのだろう。感謝。 ほぼ満室のドミトリーだったが、皆さん行儀よくお静かにされておられ、自分が騒音になっていないか心配になるくらいだ。 特になし。ただ、長期滞在などで本格的な自炊を視野に入れている方には、キッチンは物足りないだろう。

• Gabryell (6/5): - It was an okay place to stay. It's clean and tidy, decent size common room. The bedrooms are very noisy and very bright, and I can't recommend for light sleepers. Walls are made of paper, and everything can be heard. Also the dogs don't really hang out on the public spaces. So you don't get to interact with them at all.
• Charlotte (10/5): Entspannt, sauber, angenehmen auch zum Verweilen. - Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön ausgestattet. Man merkt, dass hier seit Jahren mit Liebe an alles gearbeitet wird. Die Gemeinschaftsräume einladend, der Schlafsaal ist geräumig mit viel Platz für Gepäck und das man trotzdem sich noch drumherum bewegen kann. Im Bett ist an alles gedacht und es ist uns allen Seiten sichtgeschützt, sodass man seine Ruhe und Privatsphäre hat. Und natürlich war der freundliche Nico-Chan ein großes Highlight und das Hostel ist an den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln (15 Min zur Bahn, 5 Min zum Bus) für Kyoto gut angebunden Das einzige war die etwas engere Situation im Badezimmer. Mir haben dort am Spülbecken mehr Möglichkeiten gefehlt, meine Sachen aufzuhängen oder abzustellen. Ich war aber meisten alleine da, auch als das Guesthouse voll war, sodass es mir nur manchmal aufgefallen ist.

We loved the location as there’s various busses and a train closeby, konbini’s at walking distance and also some of the most amazing restaurants nearby. Absolutely recommend going here!

• tommaso (10/5): - The guesthouse was amazing, especially the common areas, super comfy and there was a bath house super close by. Plus it's quite close to the amazing Nijo castle which is one of my favorite things I did in Kyoto.

• Kuniko (10/5): ソロ隠れ家を京都にみつけました - 清潔で、親切で、センスがよく、手作り感があり、親しみがもと、アットホームな感じがしました。しかし、ひとりの時間がゆったり過ごせました。 階下のカフェ風スペースにはレコードや絵本、漫画があり、かわいいキッチン、冷蔵庫がありました。 2階の寝室手前には、ロッカー、一枚板の広いデスクがあり、ソファも居心地よく、仕事や絵本を読むことで、くつろげました。 寝室は、二段ベッドで、カーテンによる仕切り。狭い感覚はなく、むしろ、狭い1人部屋よりよく眠れました。 丸太町通りから1分。バス停まで2分。バスも何路線も通り、地下鉄へのアクセスも便利です。 それから、銭湯へも1分。 驚くほどよいゲストハウスです。 ありません。
• SAMY (8/5): Je ne regrette pas d’avoir choisis la Suzuki Guest House 😁 - Très bien situé pour explorer la ville avec des arrêts de bus à seulement quelques mètres, personnels souriant et disponible. Les partis communes sont agréables vous pouvez même utilisé le rétroprojecteur et la Nintendo 👌, casier à disposition et lit confortable. La seule chose que je reproche à cette établissement c’est le manque de chauffage dans les couloirs et les salles de bain. Surtout après la douche.

The location is great with really good bus connections, and the owners are very friendly and give some really helpful information about the surrounding area. There were also great facilities in the communal areas, like a kitchen and dvd player with lots of dvds. Would definitely stay again!

I prepared some BF or put some food from 711 into microwave, that was really useful. Also, there is a washing machine possible to use. I had a good sleep almost every night. • Sophie (10/5): I really loved this guesthouse - I felt safe and cozy coming back to it after great days in Kyoto. - It was lovely, warm, cozy, clean. Everything you would want in a guesthouse. The owners clearly have high standards and it showed. Loved coming back here in the evenings and reading in the commons areas or snuggling down in the warm dorm room.

• Pustoslemsek (10/5): An Ideal Stay in Kyoto - The guesthouse has everything you need, whether you’re traveling solo or with a couple of friends. There are lockers for your bags (though they’re not large enough for bigger luggage). The bathroom even has an ofuro bath, and you can do your laundry using the washing machine. We didn’t find a dryer, but our clothes dried within a day in the open air (in early October). The rooms look fantastic, with lots of Japanese charm — sliding doors and lovely little decorations everywhere! In the shared room, you can watch Ghibli anime, and I even spotted some SNES controllers — not to mention the manga collection. The hosts are very nice and friendly. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see the dogs, but that’s only because I woke up early and came back late each day. Overall, it’s a fantastic place to stay in Kyoto, and I’d definitely book it again!

• Doris Frances (6/5): Kann man für Backpacker weiterempfehlen - Die Betreiber waren sehr nett, das Hostel war liebevoll eingerichtet und der Service - Blatt mit Tipps für die unmittelbare Umgebung war sehr gut. Die Betten waren durchgelegen, Schlafen war ein Problem.
