Guest Reviews
- Turner (10/5): - Such nice innkeepers! And a bespoke breakfast to boot. I hope I'm back in Brattleboro soon so I can spend another night at the One Cat B&B. Next time I hope to meet the cat.
- Cara (10/5): - Conrad and Pat were so welcoming, their house was adorable, and breakfast was superb!
- Paul (10/5): - This was our third visit to The One Cat and each time has been a pleasure. The accommodations are clean and comfortable and breakfast is something to look forward to in the morning. Pat and Conrad are excellent host!
- ROBIN (10/5): - Perfect location near downtown Brattleboro. Convenient, easy walk to shops, restaurants, museums.
Pat and Conrad were warm, welcoming hosts. Conrad's homemade bread was delicious. I'm returning in October for his homemade English muffins and for some leaf peeping in the Green Mountains and the White Mountains just across the river.
My room was very comfortable, with a comfy loveseat tucked under the corner windows for a perfect reading nook and what was probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Marvelous house with comfortable rooms, that included a wide variety of books and games in the public rooms. Clean and lovely in all ways. Most flavorful breakfast I have eaten in a long time.
- kate (8/5): - A wonderful B&B that could use a thorough cleaning. Cute, full of books, great owners and their two cats!
- David (10/5): - Wonderful selection of books, friendly hosts, happy colors.
- Matthew (10/5): Excellent place to stay! - This is an awesome B&B! Pat and Conrad are great hosts and they live on site so they are available if you need anything. The room was clean and very spacious. There was comfortable seating in addition to the bed. The room had it's own Keurig machine and it's own AC/heat system. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. Several food and drink options to consider. Also, Conrad bakes his own bread. I had the maple oat bread which was so good. This was my first time in Brattleboro. I will definitely stay at the One Cat next time I am there!
- Wiley (10/5): - We loved our stay! Very welcoming and cozy. The breakfast was delicious. Will definitely come back to stay here again!
- Leendert (10/5): - Charming, small B&B. Very welcoming hosts. Close to Brattleboro. Safe neighborhood.
- Michelle (10/5): - The only thing lovelier than the property is Pat & Conrad themselves! We had an amazing experience and cannot wait to come back. We had a full adventure.
- Conan (10/5): - Pat and Conrad (and cats Dexter and Piper) were fantastic hosts. The room and property are comfortable and provided well for all our needs during our stay. Tons of warm, friendly Vermont-y personality! Breakfast was delicious! We'd stay here again any time we're in the area. Highly recommended!

Convenient location too. Walking distance to downtown.

- Yair (10/5): - excellent
- Dennis (10/5): - Incredibly comfortable bed, great hosts (including the cats!), breakfast was outstanding. Added bonus: getting to know the guests in the other room during breakfast; great conversations!
- Sarah (10/5): - What an excellent B&B! Very clean, spacious rooms, and located within walking distance to downtown Brattleboro. We especially loved the delicious breakfast prepared by Pat (with bread baked by Conrad). Delicious! Great to chat as well :) Would definitely recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect for a stay in Brattleboro .Here for Marlboro concerts.
- Katrina (10/5): - Pat and Conrad are marvelous hosts!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - At first it was off putting because the location is kind of run down but while the house is small it’s clean and welcoming. Pat and Conrad and their two kitties Dexter and Piper made the stay very nice.
- John (8/5): - Quaint bnb - reminded us of our time in England with a truly Vermont feel. Wonderful breakfast and kind hosts.
- Jean M (10/5): Don't judge a book by its cover . . . - Fabulous hospitality. Homemade bread! The best bed ever. Fascinating conversation. Truly a delightful experience.
- Candie (10/5): Top Cat at the One Cat. - Staying at The One Cat was one of my best experiences of all the places I’ve ever stayed. The hosts......Conrad and Pat are wonderful people. The two cats are very sweet....I fell in love!! The breakfast was extremely delectable and Conrad’s freshly made English muffins are to live for!!! We walked to town each day....less than 10 minuets. The restaurants are right there...one being a two minute walk. The first night we got back to the room and took a bottle of wine to the porch. The ambiance was wonderful......with the full moon and the porch being covered with lovely vines. The room was awesome! I felt so at home that I walked around in my bare feet. I’ve never done this in other places......but the place was very homey and clean. The books are many......so little time....but will return to check them out again. I usually have a hard time sleeping in a strange place but it was so quiet....no noisy neighbors.....no cart clanking away in the morning.....no people talking loudly to wake you.....totally peaceful. I will definitely be making a return stay and many more!!!! Thanks Pat and Conrad....Piper and Dex!!!
- Van (10/5): - We were given personalized attention, especially for breakfast.
- Bob (10/5): - Located in a quiet corner of Brattleboro, One Cat is an excellent location from which to explore a charming town, beautifully situated in Eastern Vermont. Highly recommended
- Rich (10/5): There's No Place Like Home. - A great place to stay if you'd like to think you are living in Brattleboro - and not just be a tourist passing through. Though our stay was for only a night, I had been to Brattleboro many times in the past and the One Cat was the difference between feeling like a visitor and feeling like you are home. Additionally we have quite a baker in Conrad!
- aaron (10/5): - Lovely hosts and place!!!!
- Chtistine (10/5): - This beautiful warm house has beautiful warm owners, who are so wonderful and attentive. They made the simplest breakfast taste amazing and everything is fresh!!! The two cats flat mates are also soooo amazing and adorable! I was lucky enough to get a good couple sessions in with both of them. I would totally recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a stay that is just as good as being at a hotel. I had never gone to a Bed & Breakfast before so I didn't know what to expect. And I was possibly a little nervous. I am glad to report that the first impression made was a great one and I will be a returning guest!
- Verified traveler (10/5): We would stay there again. - Very friendly and helpful couple running the place. The house is old and interesting, and very clean. The bathroom is shared by two guest rooms, but that was not a problem. There is even a chalk board for recording your preferred shower schedule. Breakfast was very nice, and the English muffins, baked on premises were excellent, as were the home-baked cookies they gave us for the road. We would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Small intimate setting - 2 guest rooms with common bathroom, comfortable king size beds in quaint old house, close to downtown Brattleboro. Very gracious host couple, excellent array of breakfast choices. Highly recommend!
- Christina (10/5): - Breakfast was great. Lovely cats
- Danny (10/5): Comfortable B&B Close to Everything - Our room was large, clean, comfortable and quiet. The room had lots of closet and drawer space and a refrigerator and large screen TV (which we didn't watch). The king sized bed was very comfortable and there was a choice of firm and soft pillows. Our hosts and owners were friendly and very helpful in our getting to know the town and area. There were lots of very good restaurants and bookstores within walking distance. Breakfast options included fresh fruit, cereals, and a choice of a full English breakfast, or pancakes, or omelettes, as well as toast, biscuits, and English muffins. Juices included cranberry, orange and apple. And there was coffee and tea. The house cats, Dexter and Piper were great. And the small quiet library had a large selection of books. Pat and Conrad, the owners and hosts even gave us a going away box of fresh baked cookies. We loved staying here. The One Cat and Brattleboro are quintessential New England (and Brighton).
- Kevin & Wanda (10/5): Great stay! Great hosts! - Our stay was awesome. My wife and I spent our 1st wedding anniversary here! Everything was as advertised. The breakfast was even better.. Our hosts, Pat and Conrad are very nice people! Easy going for sure! We plan to return in the future! We had a really good time!
- D.M. (10/5): Quiet and convenient - The One Cat was perfect for my needs, within walking distance of a wedding I attended in downtown Brattleboro. Comfortable room, lots of books to browse, charming cats, friendly hosts, good food and conversation -- the other guest and I lingered over breakfast for almost two hours!
- Carol (10/5): Fantastic place--stay there!! - Amazing place. Best B and B we have ever stayed in. Impeccably kept rooms. Wonderful breakfast with homemade breads, fresh eggs and Local cheeses. Pat and Conrad are wonderful and neighbourhood is full of fun families and a block from downtown.
- Alun (10/5): Quirky, friendly, unique! - Pat and Conrad are great hosts and have done a really nice job of making this a pleasant place to stay for a short break. The house is tastefully decorated and the rooms are very comfortable. The B&B is named for the resident cat Dexter, who along with his little sister are there for the entertainment of guests (by request). We will certainly be back at the One Cat next time we come to Brattleboro!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great B&B in downtown Brattleboro - We loved our stay at the One Cat. It was walking distance from everything in Brattleboro, and Conrad and Pat were very welcoming. Loved all the books!
- deborah (10/5): Great breakfast very welcoming and friendly host - The room is very comfortably and the house full of books you are welcome to browse
Bathroom is shared with occupants of another room
- nancy (8/5): Great place for cat lovers - Our room was comfortable. There was a small refrigerator and lots of books. The bathroom was clean. Shampoo and conditioner were wonderful. Cat was friendly and visited our room. Breakfast was great. Cereal and fruit were available when you got up. The hosts also prepared a hot breakfast. We are vegan and they prepared us a tempeh scramble with seasonal fruits and veggies and fresh bread.
- Astrid (8/5): Familiäre Atmosphäre, ondovodieller Service - Sehr nette familiäre Atmosphäre, Frühstück nach individuellen Wünschen, gemütliche Einrichtung mit vielen Büchern. Daher allerdings auch etwas eng.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely B & B - Within walking distance of downtown Brattleboro. The room was spacious and clean. Pat and Conrad are gracious hosts.
- Melanie (10/5): Fantastic find in Brattleboro! - We spent three nights at The One Cat and were very pleased. The proprietors are wonderful people and the breakfast was outstanding. It was nice to be able to walk downtown to For shopping and dinner. We're looking forward to staying with them again.
