The community area had a wonderful and warm fireplace. I loved the leg and foot massager! The breakfast was so delicious with a different specialty each day. No real negatives except that my room was downstairs, so I had to carry my huge suitcases down a long flight of stairs. ( ...I had an ankle injury. :-( )

• Gary (10/5): Excellent place to stay for snowboarders Furrano - Pension Lavender is a brand-new bed-and-breakfast built specifically for destination snowboarders and skiers. We met owner Kaz—a smart, welcoming young host. His staff was excellent. Breakfast is included in the room rate. 5 minute walk to the Furano lifts and good restaurants and bars. Solid location. I can't think of anything I didn't like about Lavender. Everything was perfect.

• Keval (10/5): First time Skiing - The property is small and cosy. It’s. 5-7 minute walk from the ski slopes. They do a simple yet satisfying breakfast and the front desk is extremely helpful to assist address and questions or needs. Rooms are clean and they make them daily. Loads of restaurants within a 5 minute drive. Attractions like Furano Cheese Factory and The Ningle Terrace would be a 10 minute drive.
• Robert (10/5): Pleasant and welcoming - Good breakfast, very clean and quiet. Excellent drying and ski facilities including a ski vice and wax iron. Drying room well set up. Close to the ski area. Staff were helpful and when I asked about leaving my old broken boots they took care of there disposal. Very difficult to get rid of trash in Japan so saved me a lot of hassle. Haven't found a Japanese hotel yet that supplies indoor slippers in a size that fits. My feet are size 9 and wide. Minor quibble.
• Brian (10/5): Amazing staff + clean and comfortable quarters = Excellent Value - Kosuke and all the staff at Pension Lavender are amazing! Friendly and very accommodating. The property is in an amazing location, and parking out back. The space is very clean and modern, with a cozy feel. Our room was spotless, had a great shower and bathroom, and we loved the fresh-cooked breakfast every morning. The common area upstairs was so welcoming and spotless, so it was nice to chill at the tatami tables, or in some comfy chairs. The mini-split heat unit was a little tricky to operate, but we got by just fine.

• Melissa (10/5): one of our best stays in Hokkaido, would recommend! - Staff were really nice and helpful. recommended us nearby places to eat when we checked-in. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. There were ample parking spaces. Also had a huge dining area so you can take-out at your convenience. At night you can see the stars if it is a clear day. Not exactly what i didnt like - the location can be a little off and up a short hill so to take note for those who dont drive. We drove so it was perfectly fine.

• Noorazlinda Binti (10/5): I can’t wait to be back. - The property is so beautiful and tastefully decorated. It is a very well kept pension and there are so many eateries nearby. I love the fireplace in the property it’s the highlight of this beautiful pension. The owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating. I feel like I visited a close friend’s house. There is none although I do hope they provide a shuttle to pick up the guests from station.

It was freshly cooked and they were kind enough to adjust the breakfast to suit my partner's diet restrictions. We can have as much coffee as we like, which is a nice touch. The person at the reception was not as warm and friendly as the other places that I have stayed in. But he was not rude or anything like that. He just did not make us feel very welcome that's all. The room that we stayed in was good enough.

• プニ (9/5): 快適でした！ - 掃除が行き届いている。 ワイングラスやマグカップ、栓抜きなどセルフで借りられる。富良野ワインを買って部屋で飲むのに助かった。 ペンションにしては珍しくトイレとシャワー付きの部屋で、化粧台もあったおかげで諸々が楽だった。 仕方ないことなのですが、スタッフ体調不良で朝食がキャンセルになったこと。 朝食が楽しみで予約していたので、代役がいないのが少し残念だった。

• Sarah (9/5): Excellent value - They have a washer for 500 yen, and the clothes dryer is free, free parking, and free breakfast! Room was so clean and spacious. Staff are kind and even helped bring up our bags. Staff asked if there was any food we didn’t eat at check-in, we answered meat which they acknowledged, yet we were served sausage at breakfast.

• Astrid (8/5): Good spot to get away from the buzz ;- ) - The location near the empty summer slopes made for a quiet relaxing stay close to nature. Breakfast consisted of a big plate of healthy vegetables and local produce and was specially prepared different every day! There was a kettle in the room, but no cups or glasses to drink tea/coffee or local wine. It would have been nice if 'Lavender Pension' had a bit more lavender about it, maybe some room lavender fragrance or other lavender trinkets?!

Very friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms, comfortable bed as well as a good complimentary breakfast. The location is 2km away from Central Furano, but you have enough coffee shops and restaurants close by.

• Kathryn (10/5): Great breakfast, relaxing stay. - This was a good stay - room had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent - the staff catered for our dietary requirements and this was done every morning without needing to remind them. Breakfast changed slightly over a 3 day rotation which made it more interesting and it was lovely to have fresh melon as part of the meal. The communal lounge area was spacious and comfortable with free tea/coffee. Parking was right outside the hotel and we were always able to get a space. Quiet location. We had a car which made the pension very convenient for us but if you are using public transport then it may be more problematic- however, we didn't check out public transport options - there may have been plenty. The property is on a hill - no problem for us but something to be aware of if you have mobility issues and no car.
