Every staff member we encounter during our stay were so welcoming and friendly, I mentioned it was my partner’s birthday to concierge prior to arrival and as a special surprise they upgraded us from the smallest room to the superior.
- Ivan (10/5): - A charming small boutique hotel well situated near a Metro and 30 minute walking distance to the major attractions and shopping areas. Hotel staff is professional, friendly and extremely welcoming.
- Timothy (10/5): - Upon entrance, the style and design of the hotel strikes you in the bar and restaurant. The staff matches that energy. It's uncommon for me to feel as if the staff is genuinely happy to have me as their guest, and even stopped what they were doing to offer a glass of champagne upon arrival. The room is gorgeous, and looks over a quiet street below. Each element is thoughtful, and far from boring. This is a gem. It's in a cool area, feels safe, and was buzzing around 11pm when we arrived on a Saturday night. We did not want to leave Monday night. The only downside was that the restaurant was closed for summer holiday during our stay, but I'm sure that break is well deserved with the experience we had. Will 100% return, and not even explore a different option.

- Lindsay (8/5): Solid Three Star Hotel - It would have been nice to have been notified there was a movie being filmed next to the hotel in the evening/night for over a week; which made it miserable at night. You need to bring earplugs if you are staying over the weekend at this hotel. It is very comfortable otherwise. Hard to get a taxi due to the one way street in front of the hotel, so use the side street to get pick up and drop off. If it is your first time in Paris, I would highly recommend staying in either the second or ninth districts as you will be much closer to attractions. Unless you are familiar with the metro, bus & RER lines you will be miserable at this location as this is a requirement to get around. Taxis are expensive in Paris. It is a minimum two to three mile walk to the general attractions. If you have been to Paris before and are looking to stay near Le Marais without being in that area, this is a great location. This is a perfect location for someone wanting to visit Paris, stay on the outskirts of the city and use public transportation to get around. I would not bring my children to this location. While I feel it is totally safe, this hotel is definitely more of an adult vibe. The food at the hotel is wonderful. Bartenders are extremely friendly. Restaurant wait staff definitely needs training, for French standards. In the room beware of the ice trays - they are not cleaned and mine contained red rust.

The only thing was that our room was very small, there was no way to get out of one side of the bed except to scoot to bottom of bed. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful boutique hotel that is very welcoming and you really get a feel of Paris when there.

Yes we had allot of luggage do to traveling for 3 weeks….. but when you have to walk side ways to get to the bathroom …That’s a small room. Upon arrival at around 11am we were informed that our room had been upgraded to the hotels suite (room 62) and invited to have coffee and pastries in the breakfasting area whilst they finished preparing it. Literally 10 minutes later we were handed the room keys and took the elevator to the sixth floor where we were met by our own private lobby to the room. Once inside we were amazed by the size of the room with queen sized bed seating area with period cocktail bar and a funky record player and vinyl records. The bathroom, wow, the size was immense and the roof top views towards Sacré-Cœur were wonderful. The only thing lacking was coffee and tea facilities in the room but don’t let this put you off as a call to reception had drinks delivered to the room within 5 minutes. Definitely our future go to hotel in Paris as all the staff went above and beyond. Very easy access to Strasbourg St-Denis metro station which got us to all the major attractions efficiently. Strasbourg St-Denis is also only three stops from Gare du Nord so the hotel is quickly accessible for those arriving into the city by train. Every aspect including the impeccable service which is run, controlled and managed by Pauline, who is totally hands on, and was at our disposal continuously. And as for Nico who so politely organized each and every dining and entertainment reservation for us perfectly with a smile on his face. Following this, the comfort of the room, the bed, the size of the bathroom, the style on how the hotel is decorated, and the food which is beyond exceptional. The best breakfast imaginable served by Lola, and the best French baguettes one could ever ask for - absolutely outstanding!!!! The cleanliness of the hotel and rooms and the sweetest Monica who took care of the room cleaning. On a whole, as being an excessive world traveler, to match this impeccable small boutique hotel with such excellence on all levels, no matter how much you spend will be very very hard to find. We will definitely return, and will like to thank Pauline and her outstanding staff on all they offered us during our outstanding memorable week in Paris, thank you!!!
- Shelley (10/5): - This property is GORGEOUS! I was not passionately looking forward to my weekend in Paris as it was a birthday wish fulfilment for my partner. He had romantic ideas of recreating our own version of Midnight in Paris and I had ideas of long hot queues of tourists and a LOT of walking. Our amazing long weekend began and ended with the Hotel Providence. Before we even arrived the glorious staff (particularly Nicolas, Pauline and Natalie) were helping me to fill my evenings with romantic dinner suggestions and bookings. When we arrived, we could not have been happier. The hotel is beautiful - so nicely done, fabulous location and the smiles and treatment from the staff (Nicolas again but also on meeting Luca and Alex) were second to NONE. Our four day holiday was a dream - I have never felt so romantic and so absorbed by a city break. The Hotel Providence has changed my mind forever. Please visit for fabulous rooms, AMAZING staff, and a primo location that let's you access a Paris that I didn't realise existed. Hands down a favourite on my list. Go there and book a room with a balcony - you will not regret it.

Food tasteless and served lukewarm. Vegetables were not fresh tasted frozen and then boiled. The bill for dining in was ridiculous especially for the lacklustre cuisine. Definitely dine out.

- Ryan (10/5): Great location, great help, great hotel. - We extended our trip while we were staying in the hotel and decided to stay at this hotel for 2 additional nights cause it was just that amazing. The people at the front desk were very helpful with everything we needed from getting covid tests for our flight home and actually reading them (lol) to help with specific foods we were looking for and directions to the Lourve and Notre Dame but I can’t say enough how great they were. We had to leave at 5:30am for our flight and the gentleman at the front desk made an espresso for my wife before we left which was super helpful cause it was a long trip, due to traffic, to the airport. The rooms are always top notch and super clean. The location of the hotel is perfect in regards to food, shopping and some of the sights I mentioned above so that helps a lot as well. The off-site paid parking is really close by as well.
- Megan (10/5): Our favorite hotel in Paris - This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel and I can tell you, it won’t be our last. Everything from the decor, the staff and the food and drinks were all top notch. They were very accommodating and helpful when it came to getting COVID tests that were needed for our trip back to the US. I would easily recommend staying here to anyone.

- Stefanie (8/5): - Such a cute place near a ton of great dining options - has a bit of an old school Soho House design vibe which we loved. On a street with a bustling dining and cocktail scene so seemingly quite safe even late - but at the same time not loud. We had the smaller balcony room which did end up a bit disappointing purely based on lack of space. The room was small (and that’s coming from someone from NYC) with no room to leave a suitcase out and definitely no room for multiple bags. Worse, there no space to walk around the bed on one side so you have to both enter from the same side or crawl in from the bottom. Less than ideal for a room $466 USD per night.

Drunks and homeless sleeping directly outside the hotel at night and in the mornings. Room was extremely small when the price was over $400 not sure why this was recommended or so expensive. Had just come from two 5 stars so this was a total shock for us. Breakfast was a baguette or croissant. Would never recommend or come back. Loud noise at night from neighboring cafes and drunks screaming/fighting. DO NOT STAY HERE. One step away from a hostel

Amenities were outstanding. The bar even has ice trays in the refrigerator. Hotel manager was the best. She recommended new fun restaurants and bars in the area. Perfect area for shopping

The room size for one worked great, for two it would have been snug. Again, a lovely, cozy place on a quiet street. Enjoyed having the bar to work after eating outside under the cozy light and heat lamps.

The staff was extremely friendly, always greeting us and welcoming us back to the property and easily able to recommend restaurants, suggested travel routes, operating hours or to arrange a taxi if Uber was too much. You can really see the attention to detail in the guest rooms, the mini bar is great with several unique offerings, location of USB/Power Plugs is strategic, reliable easy to use wifi, bathroom is gorgeous and well thought out with high quality fixtures. I would for sure stay again, and thanks for making our stay enjoyable!

- Verified traveler (8/5): Gorgeous vintage hotel - Beautiful small vintage hotel. We got a suite with a large claw foot tub and a small balcony overlooking the street. The room was well decorated and clean. Loved the mini bar selection. We did have an issue with the laundry service however. After confirming with reception that the clothes would only take 1 day, we still had not received them two days later. We then checked with reception again and were told conflicting stories about why it wasn’t ready. We ended up getting our clothing at midnight the night before check out but multiple items were missing. We were told we would get the missing items in the morning but we did not. We checked out a week ago and they still have not found our missing clothes.
- Margaret (10/5): Gorgeous details and lovely staff. - From the moment we pulled up to the curb, I was thrilled with our choice of Hotel Providence. The reception and room were filled with the loveliest, most well-thought details - from the stunning interior design (the wallpapers in this place are to die for), to the curated in-room bars, to US-friendly USB charging outlets, towel warmers and a loaner cell phone for use in the city. We highly recommend the deluxe room on the second floor -- king bed and enormous bath -- with its balcony overlooking the bar terrace and street beyond. The staff was charming and extraordinarily helpful throughout. The hotel's bikes available for rent are a great way to see more of the city without the hassle of Velib, but the metro stop one block away can get you nearly anywhere fast as well. I can admittedly be very particular when it comes to hotels as they're such an important part of a trip's ambiance for me. I love a unique and tailored boutique experience and Hotel Providence was an absolute star in my book. You know you've made a good decision when you wish you could spend more time in your room! It would be hard to stay anywhere else next time.

Even the elevator is magnificent: roomy and fast. The attentiveness of the staff defies the imagination and no request is too much. Book your room before there aren't any left.

- Jeffrey (10/5): - The highlight of our trip to Europe! Absolutely loved the hotel, the staff, specifically Vassia, Megan and Ben! The location was wonderful, away from the tourist traps, downtown. We averaged 6-miles a day walking which was just what we wanted to do, exploring the neighborhoods. My wife has been to Paris before and we expected the room would be small, however, it was charming & romantic, complete with a balcony for two! Details: There were only 4 rooms per floor, the air conditioning was perfect and they made excellent use of the space right down to Apple Desktop computer in the room and the USB charging ports built-in next to the bed! The free daily breakfast was wonderful and we had a delicious dinner at the hotel the evening we checked in. We have already recommended this well managed and charming hotel to our friends! Did not want to leave!

This is not my first time in Paris, and this time i really wanted something romantic ,cozy and cute. I found this one on trip advisor and liked pictures and reviews, was thinking it might be perfect for a few days with my mother. After a long flight me and my mom arrived and the first thing we heard from the lady on check in was- “ I am sorry but I got bad news for you, you would need to stay in one room for one day and then move to another room”. We were only staying three days, so you might imagine how inconvenient that would be with some unpacking and packing back; next day we woke up at 7 am in order to pack our things as they requested to have everything in suitcases so they can move us while we were away on excursions. BAD NEWS!! TOURIST TRAP! UNWELCOMING LADY ON RECEPTION WITH LOTS OF ATTITUDE ON EVERY MATTER, TOURIST TRAP RESTAURANT WITH ZERO SERVICE AND CRAZY PRICES, NOT VERY CLEAN ROOMS WITH LEAKING SHOWER, ELEVATOR NOT WORKING HALF OF OUR STAY, PROMISED FREE DRINKS-BUT INCLUDED IN THE BILL AT FIRST, ROOM READY AT 3;45P.M, LOUD AREA WITH TOURIST TRAPS CAFES AROUND, FOR DECENT MEEL NEED AT LEAST 25 MIN WALK. - Liam (10/5): Style, warmth and amazing staff - I’m not usually one to write reviews, but our stay at Hotel Providence was exceptional. The deluxe room was perfect, stylish and cosy. The hotel itself looks stunning and is distinctly Parisian - also with a pretty great breakfast in the morning not to be missed. The standout for us however were the staff. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful, with some of the nicest funniest bartenders we’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. We are definitely making a return trip here next time we are in Paris. The gorgeous Le Marais area and Providence area are our new go-to spot.

- Drew (10/5): Great decor - Mostly terrific hotel. A bit noisy in evenings when restaurant in hotel and several neighboring restaurants are all full, but that's not surprising for a big city. Ideally situated a bit removed from very busy streets, though this part of Paris is not super swanky compared to closer to the center. Very thoughtful, beautiful decor both inside and out.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Pretty but loud and smokey - The good... The hotel is beautiful and the rooms charmingly decorated with lots of character. The cafe downstairs is lovely and lively. The concierge/reception are exceptionally helpful and lovely. The bad... the neighborhood is extremely busy with loud street traffic, bars and I’m warming weather hundreds of smokers. The cafe downstairs is popular, boisterous and open late. There is nothing quiet or peaceful about this hotel until after midnight-1am. I had a room on the first floor just above the cafe, it was too loud for sleep and Smokey every evening. I asked to be moved but the hotel was fully booked. My friends stayed on the 3rd and 5th floor and also could hear the noise from downstairs. I could only recommend this hotel if you are planning to stay out late every night or maybe got a top floor room located on the street behind reception. I really did love the staff and decor but I would not stay here again.

Nice restaurant/bar and cozy lobby with an intimate wood burning fireplace to sit by and enjoy a glass of wine. Great walking area with many eateries and shopping. The bar has excellent coffee and cocktails. The breakfast was ok, but for a similar price you can find a great cafe within walking distance. Location is perfect for the metro and getting to all the sites. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely go back.
