- DumDumBoy (10/5): Ocean view + Odysseus = Bliss! - One of the best holidays myself and the D have taken. From the moment we were greeted by our wonderful host, Paraskevas, at the airport and first took sight of our villa, we knew we'd made the right choice. A fridge filled with local delights confirmed that! From the infinity pool (early morning dips with the ocean in front of us and the mountains behind) to the shaded patio (I enjoy the sun from the shade), everything was perfect. The location in Platies is quiet (which suits us) but you're only 40 minutes from the main town bustle of Argostoli and a shorter drive to Lourdas Beach to the west and the slightly busier Katelios to the east. But if you're looking to just relax with some paperbacks (I'm old school) or a Kindle (D's embraced the digital age) and some fresh feta, tomatoes and olives, well this is the place for you. Paraskevas was the perfect host, a winning combination of available and discreet. If we could have stayed another week, we would have! Will we be going back? For sure!
