• Denise (9/5): Lovely Stay in Monticello! - We appreciated the very nice, modern rooms. The beds are very comfortable with crisp, clean linens! The breakfast is a typical continental breakfast with a waffle maker, but that is why the room fee is reasonable.

• FarAway01448316158 (10/5): Wonderful Clean Hotel - We have stayed at Cobblestone in Monticello many times in the past for family holidays and get togethers. We have some family members who reside in Cascade so location is ideal. Unfortunately our stay a few days ago brought some family there for our mother’s funeral. Despite the reason we gathered at Cobblestone, our stay was very pleasant. Kim at the front desk was incredibly kind and attentive. She’s a keeper! Thank you again Kim - Kristi Donahue

• kimsJ1343BD (8/5): Awesome place to stay, - It's a very clean and nice place to stay, Room was clean and beds are very comfortable, however they are very high, I had to get a step stole to get into the bed. but once I was in it was very comfortable I slept all night didn't even wake up aty normal 2am. so that was great!! Staff was very friendly!!

Breakfast was generous and choices were many. They even had real plants in the lobby windows ! Excellent value .

• O2413MVkarent (8/5): Satisfied Travelers - Right off the highway, extremely convenient for a one night stay. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Only negative was the refrigerator was not working very well and no freezer. My husband takes meds that need to be kept cold.

The breakfast gross, it was literally microwaved by a staff member and put out. Everything, we will not be staying there when we return to Iowa. We were very surprised to learn that this was a new build.

• marysP2801XN (10/5): A comfortable, convenient place to rest - Easy access and parked my car right outside the room window. The room was clean and the beds were so very comfortable even though they were very high and a bit of a challenge to get in and out of. I would like to know the brand of the mattress if possible. The shower was terrific and the soap and shampoo excellent. We had a first floor room down the hall from the break room which had comfortable furniture and the food was fresh and good selections. The room was quiet and the heating system worked well.

It's not near anything except a health clinic and gas station, but it's right off highway 151. The gas station had the most charming high school kid working there, during that the Midwest is filled with nice people!

• rrK4434MS (8/5): Stayed by accident, plan to return - We hit a deer early in the morning on the start of our vacation, and the State Trooper brought us to Cobblestone Inn & Suites in Monticello, Iowa. They were great and got us a room. The room was just what we needed. Next year, we are planning to stay a night at this hotel on the start of that vacation
• Jeanna (9/5): Was OK - breakfast was nothing elaborate. Just adequate. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Overall a good place to stay. Be aware of the extra 15% added to your credit card charges. I was told it will come off, but I should have been informed up front about this!

• Johnny (10/5): - We've stayed here twice and both times were excellent. The rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the breakfast was hot and fresh. Parking is easy and access to the highway is quick. There isn't much in the area in fact, it's sparse. there is a large Casey's convenience store across the street. Bonus: If you're going to Edinburgh Manor, this is THE closest hotel. It's only a 10 minute drive away.

• M6275QAamberl (10/5): Emergency Surgery - We had an emergency with my son having to have emergency surgery. Kim at the front desk was amazing and helping us get all of our things together and checking out. She went above and beyond. They are so lucky to have an employee like her!
• evanrU1111TZ (8/5): Great Property - One Housekeeping Oversight - While this is the only hotel in Monticello Iowa they do a good job at keeping it in great condition. No elevator, I could see that being an issue for some folks. Staff were friendly, rooms warm and inviting, things clean. My one issue was the comforter. I understand they dont get washed unless visibly stained but mine was just flipped over so the stains pointed down. I had a double room and the other one was clean. My review is 4 stars for that oversight. The front desk was receptive to my issue when I checked out. Ill be staying again soon and will update.

Gentleman at the front desk was very helpful, and located someone to make an emergency repair, so that we could get on the road to our next destination and get tire replaced the next day. NA

The only thing I would like to see changed is in the bathroom. As we age falling is one of our greatest fears so having grab bars in the shower is a necessity. Also a taller toilet is a plus.

• Verified traveler (10/5): A very nice stay - Our stay was very nice, quiet, clean. Continental breakfast was varied, suitable for anyone’s wishes or requirements. We would definitely stay there again. The bed was very comfortable, but very high from the floor and somewhat difficult to get into for a short (5’ 2”) person.
• Geary (10/5): Great place to stay - The young ladies involved in check-in/out were very nice and quick. The room was very clean and comfortable. The a/c unit worked well so the room temp was perfect. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower had very nice pressure. And sleeping was wonderful because it was extremely quiet. I did not eat the cont. breakfast, but my family did. They said that left a little to be desired, but... All in all, a very nice place to stay. I would return.
• iowagigi (6/5): Comfortable but needs improvement - This hotel is very clean. However, a few things could be improved. There are only two handicapped accessible rooms. The regular rooms have no grab bar in the shower which is an issue for people who have had knee replacements. Beds are very comfortable but very high for short people. The staff was somewhat helpful. Breakfast was good. Your normal continental breakfast. Also, no elevator in this hotel.
