• Thomas (10/5): Wow! Amazing - Not many places can exceed my expectations. This apartment was excellent. Strongest air conditioning, which I was in love with. Cools everything extremely quickly and just feels GOOD. Nice modern TV for streaming shows and movies. Great kitchen with tons of space to cook. Massive container of drinking water provided. Extremely quiet. No noise anywhere. Nice bathroom, too. I appreciated the little details like the shelf in the shower for your shampoos and toiletries (most places don’t have this). Bathroom lighting and aesthetics were wonderful. Bed was so soft and cozy. Great pillows, dark shades to hide the light and the a/c kept the room exceptionally clean. Usually places always disappoint somehow, but this place was EXCEPTIONAL! Host was so cute and friendly as well :) Truly can’t think of anything

Easy to get $2 taxi back when it rains. It is a large studio apartment. There are no walls between the seating area, kitchen and bedroom. The furniture is quite old and dark.

Dość strome schody w apartamencie, brak zastawy dla wszystkich osób (nie było talerzy, żeby wspólnie w tym samym czasie zjeść śniadanie), większe sklepy/centrum miasta oddalone o około 15 minut spacerem.
• Sergio (9/5): Excelente casa para familias en Puerto Ayora - La atención del personal. Patricia siempre muy atenta. Vive en la casa de al lado por lo que siempre estaba disponible para cualquier ayuda. Muy amable y se nota la dedicación para que tuviéramos una excelente estadía. La ubicación es muy buena. A un par de cuadras del centro del pueblo, lo que hace que sea un lugar muy tranquilo pero fácil de llegar a las tiendas y restaurantes de la ciudad a pie. El aire acondicionado funciona perfecto. Es una casa sencilla pero con todas las comodidades. Una de las pieza con murallas interiores de vidrio y cortinas le quita un poco de privacidad a esa pieza. El resto estaban muy bien.

Not in the very best location if you have difficulties walking, 1.2km from the port to catch ferries to other islands, but Patricia lent us bikes.

• Guest (9/5): - We really enjoyed our stay at Maytenus - we stayed there twice - before and after the cruise. Host was super nice and helpful, she also allowed us to be flexible with the check in/check out time which was very helpful given the cruise schedule. Walking distance to downtown (if you'd like a cheap coffee shop, go to the center of town, all the coffee shops close to Maytenus were overpriced) and very quiet, so we had a good night sleep both times!

• Alexandra (6/5): Gibt sichere bessere Unterkünfte in Puerto ayora - Das uns zur Verfügung stehende Apartment war zumindest für fünf Leute vom Platz her groß genug. Die Lage ist einigermaßen ok, ruhig ist es, wenn auch die Nachbarn ruhig sind. Der Hafen und Einkaufsgeschäft sind in 10-20 Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen. Es stand Wasser zum nachfüllen von Wasserflaschen zur Verfügung. Die Ausstattung ist wirklich nicht optimal, es gab genau fünf mal von allem, das Mobiliar ist alt und die Sanitärräume renovierungsbedürftig. es wird zwar täglich sauber gemacht, was auch dringend notwendig ist, wegen der Toilettenpapier im Abfalleimer, aber nur bis 10:00 Uhr. Wenn man also ausnahmsweise (es regnete täglich!) einmal länger im Apartment verweilen möchte, hat man für diesen Tag Pech mit vollen (und übel riechenden) Mülleimern. Das halten wir für nicht zeitgemäß. Leider gibt es in dem Apartment keinerlei Grundausstattung an Salz, Pfeffer und Öl etc. Das sollte dringend angeschafft werden. Und das wäre sicher für den recht hohen Preis auch möglich.

The beds were comfortable and kitchen well equiped. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. A wonderful base for our time in Santa Cruz.

The location was okay not as close as we thought but walkable. The room was very dated and the bed wasn’t that comfortable. There were quite a few ants which you expect in the Galapagos but they got into our bags.

Patricia helped us by providing contact details for transportation from the airport to the hotel. The driver, Vicente was very nice and recommended many great places to visit. When our flight was changed and we needed to call the airline but didn’t have a phone, Patricia kindly borrowed us hers. The location of the place was convenient, close to everywhere we wanted to go. • Sebozzie (10/5): Great place, would go there again - We had a very big room with an own kitchen and bathroom. It was nice to do some cooking. When traveling for a long time it can be a drag to always have to go to restaurants. We spontaneously decided to stay 2 nights in San Cristobal but had booked all of our time on Santa Cruz. The host was so nice to give us a reduction as we were not around for two days. It's only a 5-10min walk to the center (so no problem) but the port where the boats leave is a 15-20min walk. This can be a little annoying when you plan to do lots of tours.

Our little yet spacious for 2 people apartment was excellent for what we needed, cup of tea, breakfast. Large water container free. Decent WiFi. Great Big fridge. Great to AC. Quiet close location away from the churn of package tourists. Patricia was lovely, she kindly, yet cheekily paid for the taxi to the ferry dock, wonderful gesture. 😎 😊😊😊 That we couldn't come back on our return as the apartments were fully booked. We really enjoyed our 4 days here.

We arrived on Christmas Day so stores were not open, and the host was amazing she gave me a carton of milk for my 1 year old. I recommend this place for any family that wants a comfortable stay. Everything was great.

• Deborah (10/5): excellent value, spacious apartment-style living - LOVED this apartment-like suite. plenty of space for almost everyone to have their own bedroom, and enjoyed having open common area to hang out in, especially after a week of traveling in Galapagos with smaller hotel rooms only (despite being similar in price). AC worked very well, wifi reliable, felt secure, was able to leave bags after checkout, and easy walking distance to everything. wish we had more days here! heads up when you arrive, knock on the metal gate and she will let you in and give you keys that will allow you access in the future honestly nothing - wish there was an extra bottle of water in the apartment (4 people for 2 nights and we did run out from the amount that was there when we arrived), but it was easy enough to go down to reception for water bottle refills... and one of the bedrooms was in the center of the apartment so light on in the apartment impacts it, but mostly that's just a quirk -- would recommend this place over the other place we stayed at in Puerto Ayora (the first time passing through this island) without hesitation and would stay again

One bathroom upstairs and half bathroom downstairs. It’s enough , but going up and down steep stairs for bathroom is a little inconvenient. I love the owner . She’s very nice ; helped us call taxi every time we go to town . Not too far , but my friends did not want to walk . Not right in town . But it’s traded for good size apartment and very good price .

• Esther (9/5): Excellent stay in Puerto Ayora - Excellent spacious accommodation in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The standard appartment offers decent size rooms very clean with air condition. Beds and room cleaning were remade every day. Our flat had a full size handy kitchen and a nice family area which has a water jug. The place is located within 10-15 min walk from the heart of the downtown area, and about the same walking distance to the Charles Darwin Center. A local place to eat in the park is within 5 min walk distance as well as a pizza place and a small tienda. A few diving centers are located nearby too if you plan to do that activity. The host Patricia is really kind, available and provides helpful tips to enjoy your stay in Puerto Ayora. She organised for us a transfer from Baltra to her venue which has been really appreciated. Lack of kitchen equipment (Ustensils like spatula, wood board...) especially if you don't want to have all your meals outside. This will be the only negative element to mention one..
