• Rob (1/5): shit shit and shitty - A person was casing our truck looking to steal and the manager defended him. We left without staying the night to our great inconvenience and cost. I think the manager is in on this - no proof. We could not stay because we were worried that our vehicle would be vandalized by that person staying right across the lot from us. We will never stay in a slumber lodge again and never even stop in Hope BC. You are rubbish!

• Mariechrist (8/5): - L'hôtel est certes vieux mais la chambre est confortable et propre, équipée d'un réfrigérateur et d'un micro-ondes. Nous avons demandé un toaster à la réception pour le petit déjeuner et on a pu en avoir un. La piscine n'est pas en service et ça n'est pas précisé.

Old but will still and definitely still comebac - The property is a bit old but it is clean and it doesn’t have the old smell. The bed was comfortable and the pillow smells good. It’s just a little outdated. A but old but it doesn’t mean i don’t like it.

• Marcel (1/5): Disappointed - The price was decent There was no Hot water, no phone in the room to contact the front desk. There was no spare blanket, the room was freezing, had to turn the heat on. There was no hair dryer and the bed felt like sleeping on a board, extremely uncomfortable. Spoke to staff in the morning who explained there was a dial on the wall that turned on the hot water, but by then it was too late, definitely not worth the slightly cheaper rate we paid.

• Brooke (1/5): Ice cold rooms! DO NOT RECOMMEND - There was 3 beds as listed. In winter the heat was not turned on till we arrived. With 2 babies it was freezing cold till morning. Our babies were shivering! Beds were dirty, mold all over in the bathroom, ice cold room, booked because of the pool, called to confirm it will be open and it was but when we got there they said it was under construction and not open. Not good heat once it was warmer by the time we checked out. Lots of damage to the room and very old outdated bathroom. Tight parking and employee was not accommodating when we told all of this to. Would not recommend and if we could have gotten a refund we would have and gone elsewhere. Was told it's an apartment suit size and was very tight and hardly walk around room.

• Jackie (4/5): - The location in the town of Hope when you’re travelling back from the island to the Kooteney’s is a good place to stop to break up your trip The property was rundown, very noisy between rooms, the air conditioner didn’t work so I couldn’t turn a fan on even. This was a room on the top floor. I think maybe the lower floor rooms have been renovated? The room had stained carpet and looked like it hadn’t been maintained since the 80s. I’m not super picky about a hotel room when you need a place to stay but this was overpriced and grungy, next time for the extra hundred dollars I would stay in Abbotsford at a new hotel.

We had such a good time, that we decided to stay another night. The kind and friendly people at Slumber Lodge made our stay exceptionally enjoyable and it was hard for us to leave. It had a warm friendly, cozy, family feel and we will absolutely stay again.

• Kaleigh (6/5): If the site would’ve been updated that the pool was seasonal it would’ve been good. - staff was nice, room was comfortable and fairly clean. Pool was closed. Though it wasn’t a big or amazing pool this was the reason we picked this place. Looked on the motels website directly and booking.com the day before and both still mention indoor pool, no notice of a closure. The deadbolt lock on the door did not work, only the knob lock, which we did not enjoy as we have kids. One window didn’t close completely so we couldn’t lock that.
• Patricia (6/5): - Location I nearly froze. The heat was not on in the room when I arrived and the temp only got to 56 degrees 3 hours later. The office was closed and the owner did not answer the phone. No extra blanket. Spent the night in bed in my clothes and coat on top of blankets

• Jenise (10/5): Great for the price, old but super clean! - For an older motel we were surprised with how clean it was and felt! The mattresses were great and pillow choices were good too! Good value for what you pay! I wish the pool could have been open for the kids. Also, I had thought by the pictures and name, the family suite, that it would have a kitchen as I was hoping to cook our meals but it only had a fridge/freezer and microwave. No stove/oven.

• michelle (6/5): - This was a motel so we didnt expect too much. The first room we were offered, we couldn't enter as the key didnt work. The 2nd room which was next door was ok as somewhere to get your head down for the night but not somewhere we would have wanted to spend time in. It was all just a bit tired. The pool had a cover over it so we assumed it was closed but we disnt ask as we didnt fancy taking a swim. The people were very friendly and welcoming and overall the stay was ok.
