- Simone (8/5): Wunderschönes Hotel, tolle Lage und herzliches Personal! - Wunderschönes Boutiquehotel direkt am Stand gelegen mit atemberaubender Aussicht. Top Frühstückservice mit grosser Auswahl an verschiedenen Speisen. Personal war immer sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend, alles wurde organisiert Ein Pool Bereich oder einfach ein Aussenbereich zum relaxen wäre toll. Der Strand ist direkt zugänglich und es stehen Stühle und Sonnenschirme zur Verfügung. Aber es wäre noch etwas gemütlicher, wenn man Zugang zu Sonnenbetten hat. Würde auch dem Preisniveau entsprechen.

- Rebecca (9/5): A very relaxing hotel with fantastic staff - The hotel is right above the beach with incredible views. The hotel gives you umbrellas and chairs to take down to the beach. There is a large terrace near reception that they serve breakfast on, it s a beautiful spot for an afternoon beer! There are tavernas right by the beach down the hill from the hotel. The room was very comfortable, with a great bathroom. They will pick you up straight from the port and they track the ferry timing for you. Nothing!

- Paul (6/5): - Beautiful hotel, excellent location on the beach. The local town is an hour hike over rocky terrain - enjoyable if you have the fitness level and the weather is good. BUT if you do not want to do the hike, there is very little public transport and the hotel charge 17 EUR each way! The journey takes 5 minutes in a car. The hotel should really have a free shuttle service running at regular intervals. 17 EUR feels like a ridiculous price for the journey and they charge it per room even if the journey is shared.

There are tavernas and beach about a 3min walk down so very convenient. The hotel gives you umbrellas and chairs for the beach. The room was very comfortable, bathroom was great, and the toiletries they supplied were lovely. The breakfast in the morning is insane- so much food that you get to choose and everything was delicious. They will pick up up from the port and communicated very well. We met many other friendly guests there who had stayed there before and were returning. Sometimes the staff were a bit serious and they could have explained more about the boats below and the nearby beaches but it was fine.

The breakfast is very generous and well thought out, it even includes healthy alternatives. Our room was so clean and spacious, and the staff were highly professional. This hotel is one of the pricier on the island but definitely worth it.

- Fiona (10/5): The best spot on the island! - You can’t beat the location — right on our favourite beach on the island. Waking up and stepping onto the balcony to watch the morning unfold was such a treat, followed by breakfast with the same stunning view of Akali Beach. Days were spent at the beach in front, with the thoughtful addition of umbrellas, chairs, and beach towels provided. Evenings we would grab a transfer into Chora, making it easy to enjoy the town before returning to the tranquillity of the beach. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the room was beautifully and luxuriously appointed. Be sure to catch the 5 min water taxi around to Ayios Nicholas and spend the day at the beach and then lunch at Papalagi ( book) . nothing...

Located on hillside overlooking the stunning beach of Agkali, the hotel offers a peaceful atmosphere where you can truly embrace the serenity of the surroundings. Our room was spacious and impeccably clean, with thoughtful attention to detail — from the quality of the linens and room amenities to the tasteful decor. We especially enjoyed relaxing on our balcony, with its cozy pouf chairs and boho-chic style, as we watched small boats come and go in the bay below. The staff were absolutely wonderful and made us feel right at home. Mrs. Katerina and her entire team were warm, friendly, and genuinely accommodating — delivering excellent service with a true sense of hospitality. We would definitely love to return. Thank you! You need a car if you want to go to the center. You barely got privacy when you are in the terrace. You can hear and see the person checked in the room.

The staff were amazing they could not do enough for you. Our room was spotless and very shabby sheik it was so beautiful we had a great nights sleep listening to the waves from the ocean. Breakfast was delicious so much variety and dinner a la carte was really tasty. The beach was right on our doorstep so we swam everyday in the ocean it was fantastic. There are some tavernas around the hotel that serve lovely food too and a bonus a bus stop right by the hotel that takes you into Chora the main town which is so pretty and has lots of restaurants and little gift shops. - Katherine (10/5): Heaven in Folegandros! - We can’t say enough great things about this property. My husband and I fished two months of travelling through Europe in Folegandros and I am SO glad we chose Blue Sand. It was the perfect ending to our trip as we felt very well looked after and so relaxed. The views from our room, the breakfast terrace and the lobby are breathtaking. The warm welcome and lemonade on arrival was a lovely touch. The the shuttle to and from the port was seamless and the driver is so lovely. The rooms are well decorated, clean comfortable and the AC was powerful. The breakfast was healthy and plentiful - a highlight of our stay! There are a few other tavernas and a bakery within the bay as well. We loved that the hotel provided us with fresh beach towels, a sturdy beach umbrella and beach chairs too. Not the mention the staff are incredible helpful and kind and will go out of their way to make your stay more comfortable. If you are looking to stay in Folegandros look no further than Blue Sand! No complaints we loved everything! We would have like to have dinner at the hotel but found the prices to a be a little high for us, however I’m sure the food and service would be worth it! They had plenty of bookings for dinner while we were there.

Very appreciated free pick-up from the port and nice assistance at Reception during our stay. Nothing really. Only very small point, we thought that all breakfast dishes could be inclusive, but we had a good choice even this way.

- Rc (8/5): Very good - Beautiful location, proximity to beach and trails. Tasty and fresh breakfast that was served by their best staff member each morning. Friendly and helpful port transfer driver. Provision of beach towels, chairs and umbrellas. Comfortable bed. Excellent wifi. Welcome drink was a nice gesture on arrival but carrying multiple bags, I wasn’t able to take the drink. The hotel is stunning on the surface but lacks refinement. Only one complimentary 1L bottle of water provided per stay. Ground floor room is practically in the restaurant so it is not private or relaxing. I had to split my stay over different room bookings but there was no separate luggage storage area and no safe at reception to hold valuables temporarily. Restaurant and drinks are overpriced, slow service even when no other guests and severely lacks atmosphere despite the beautiful view. Disappointing to see the restaurant was always near empty but it’s obvious why. Better vibes, prices and service during the day at Perigiali and Amoudaki cafes or go to Chora for a nice evening meal.

Team couldn’t be more helpful. Chairs and umbrella provided for the beach. Can’t wait to go back. Maybe an option to rent more of a Sunbed for the beach but otherwise hard to find fault in a gorgeous hotel.

The breakfasts were healthy, delicious and served on the terrace with beautiful views. Staff were helpful, polite and always available. Room was clean, comfortable and with windows to the sea and balcony views. A lovely relaxing bathroom was a treat at the end of glorious beach swimming days.

From the location, to the room, the staff and beaches I couldn't be happier with this destination. We were relaxed and settled from the moment we checked in and did not want to leave.
