Guest Reviews
- AndyIntrepid (10/5): Helpful staff, Comfortable rooms, Parking on site. - Well placed hotel, (use Waze rather than Google maps to find them as they are on a one way road). We mistakenly booked for the next day but the staff especially Lucianne arranged to swap the booking which was greatly appreciated. Great to have parking at the hotel via an elaborate lift system. Great central market in Rennes on Saturday. Hotel rooms were modern and the bed comfortable.
- Lucio (10/5): - Ottima struttura
- Martin (8/5): - Convenient for railway station. Couple of nice restaurants within 50 yards
- Romford (4/5): 5 star staff, 1 star hotel - We stayed for 3 nights and it was very disappointing. At face value the hotel is great but just under the surface there are problems everywhere.
We stayed for 24 hours with no key card. Staff were simply unable to supply a working card so we were escorted back to our room when we returned. Also, the aircon was ineffective and the wifi didn't work. After one day we were moved to a room with a key and working aircon. The wifi was still rubbish, unfortunately.
We asked to speak to a manager but no one came.
The bar is run by reception staff so if reception is busy, forget about getting a drink.
We've never stayed in a hotel where you are allocated 1 hour per day to use the pool and have to make a booking...
The staff were all nice and friendly but the hotel itself is shambolic and devoid of any "Premier" features.
Expensive and not recommended
- Hak Sung (6/5): - N
- REGIS (10/5): Perfect and nice room - Perfect ! Nice
- Robert (10/5): - Hard to find, but friendly staff who showed us the parking garage. Didn't use the spa, as we were only there for 1 night. Provided with a map of the city.
- Patrick (10/5): - Lovely hotel within walking distance (5 mins) to the main streets. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean and well maintained. Good secure underground parking but only for small / medium sized cars and it does need to be pre booked as there are very few spaces,
- Eugene (10/5): - The best property in the area with very friendly, professional and welcoming staff.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Super close to Train and bus stations, comfy, clean and it included an hour of water spa.
- Naomi (2/5): - We were given a room with a known problem with the noise of running water at almost 9 at night with no other rooms available and no hotels nearby with rooms. It is a travesty that they have not addressed the issue with the noise and continue to give out the room. We will see if I can sleep
- Marie-anne (6/5): - Accueil horrible passer votre chemin!
- BGS DIAGNOSTICS (10/5): -
- Antonio (10/5): Excelente hotel em Rennes - Hotel excelente em predio recém reformado. Quartos não muito grandes mas confortáveis. Proximo de todas as atrações da cidade. Boa cama. Vista bonita da cidade.
- peterwL1693NZ (8/5): Generally very good - Deluxe room was very comfortable and clean with separate toilet and bathroom. beds were good. We had a nice internal balcony. breakfast had a wide choice and quality. bar was a bit sparse, but okay for us. I reported the internal toilet door, which had to be slammed shut really hard, but nothing was done about it, so I have deducted a point for this. Nevertheless, we would recommend . Easy for the station and not far to centre of town
- Feeber (10/5): Super nice hotel close to the station in Rennes - Super nice hotel close to the station in Rennes. I was able to check in early which was very nice after a very long flight. The front office staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and very clean as well. Breakfast was a buffet with a good range of tasty food. Very hard to go past French baguette and French jam!!!
- Gerardo (6/5): - Good location, hotel , with poor service , the air conditioner was Not working , when I arrived ,they said , they were going to send a technician and they Never sent him, luckily, they brought a portable heater, cause the room was super cold
- Princebb (8/5): Nice hotel very well located - The hotel has a very convenient location near the train station and close to the city center.
Our room was fine, quite small though.
From this point of view not that comfortable.
The breakfast was fine and the service very good. We did not use the wellness center so I can’t say anything about it.
Not a bad experience…
- Verified traveler (8/5): Perfect stay in Rennes - Very well located. Close to the train and subway stations and all the shops and restaurants. Satff was friendly and professional. Clean and comfortable room.
- Tomislav (10/5): - Great room design, very nice bathroom, temperature control and bed comfort. You would think that's a given in a hotel but it often is not ;)
- Georg (8/5): - gutes Hotel, sauber, kleines Badezimmer
- Jong-Gwan (10/5): - Very good location for public transportation
- jason (8/5): - Room has a good size but sink and bathroom is kind small and sink was not very practical.
- Margaret Frances (10/5): - Wonderful staff in this hotel.Hotel was very clean with excellent facilitiesThe hotel is in a central part of the city. Within easy reach of Airport, train station, underground and buses. .
- Derek (10/5): - We liked the design and layout of the room, and having some quiet time in the spa with the pool and hot tub, along with the spa services we got. The breakfast spread was great too. It's close to many things to see in Rennes, too!
- Josee (10/5): - Superbe piscine. Bien situé.
- Carlos (10/5): - Very nice hotel, had a pleasant stay!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Ok. Good location. Close to train station.
- Wendell (8/5): - Nice modern comfortable rooms.
I had connecting rooms and the main door key was not working when we arrived, so we had to wait an hour for it to be fixed and it was every late. Person on duty was very helpful. But the wait was the problem at that time of night.
- Timothy (10/5): - Nice room and bed. Very helpful and courteous staff.
- 122pattyl (10/5): Central location with garage, helpful staff - Stayed two nights in Rennes to visit friends and to get some Le Bordier butter (inside La Criée Marché Central) which I consider the best butter in the world :-)
We chose a small room and it was small :-) but comfortable. The view of the city is beautiful and even on a cloudy day, the big window brings in a lot of light.
The parking garage is difficult to get to due to one lane outside the hotel restricted to bus only, so make sure you take a look at Google street view before to determine your approach. Parking entrance (next to hotel entrance) is tight and requires staff operation for the car lift, but we were happy that the staff were always willing and helpful and once the car was parked, we wouldn't need it again until we leave.
- Stephen (4/5): - Did not like the property. The bathroom had 2 frosted glass sliding door walls that did not shut properly. The bathroom had no counter space, no storage, and no towel racks.
- Gail042014 (10/5): Nice place to stay - We had a great stay at the le Saint-Antoine Hotel. The rooms were on the small side but comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfasts - they were very accommodating of our need for gluten free for one guest. The parking area (underground) is tight and kind of scary to get into. It has great proximity to the train station. Laundry that we sent out came back timely and nicely done.
- Jo Ann (10/5): - This was a lovely hotel. It is only a 5 minute walk to the train station and also is close to the city center. It was very quiet, and the staff was very pleasant and attentive. The room was excellent. It had a large modern shower and a very comfortable bed. I would definitely stay there again.
- marciano (10/5): - Excellent location, very close to transport especially TGV station. Walkable to city centre.
Staff are excellent. Very accomodating and courteous.
Parking is excellent, feels like James Bond HQ😊
I will definitely be back.
- Kenechi (8/5): A very nice stay - A lovely boutique hotel in Rennes. Very clean and modern rooms, fantastic and helpful staff.
Good location with pleasant surrounding restaurants.
A very nice stay!
- Kathlyn (10/5): - Beautiful, modern hotel, stylishly decorated. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and multi-lingual. I was only there for one night so did not have time to use the spa facilities. The room was spotless and well equipped. The comfortable bed and bedding made me not want to get up! I would not hesitate to stay there again. There was a super little cafe just a few doors away.
- Joy X (10/5): When all fails in finding a suitable hotel, try BW - Helpful staff. Comfortable and clean room. Nicely situated. Elevated parking was a bit challenging but staff guided through. Next time will try the spa.
- Catherine (10/5): Great place - Beautiful hotel, nicely decorated, great lounge and bar. Quiet, between old town AND train station, so a good balance. I would stay here again.
- PIERRE (4/5): moyen - Accueil convenable, Piscine et Spa Minuscule 6 personnes Max ! créneaux horaires à réserver, pas souples.
Parking, ascensceur à voiture, pas précisé, j'ai attendu 20min.
douche bouchée, inondation de la sdb...
ne vaut pas ses 4 étoiles.
- indira (10/5): - Staying at the St. Antoine was a great experience. Since the day we landed until we left. First, easy Uber or Taxi from the airport, aprox 20 mins depending on traffic. Then, the distance to the main SNCF train station, which obviously is connected to various metro and buses lines in the city and is like 5 mins walking from the hotel! The same station also works for the Keolis bus service that goes to Mt. St. Michel daily. So, this location is really valuable. The surroundings seemed actually very quite and peaceful, you can take walks to every important place in the city if you prefer. The room was very comfortable, good space and modern. The personnel were really kind and helpful all the time. It was really a great choice and I hope it remains the same or better in the future because I plan to come back :)
- Vincent (10/5): - A very good hotel. Very convenient to walk from the train station. The rooms are very comfortable.
- Zachary (10/5): - I was here for only one night, but it was the best night stay I had in France this trip. The facilities all seemed excellent, though I’m sad to say I didn’t experience the spa. It was included in the room but I wasn’t able to make the time. The breakfast for a smaller hotel was excellent, and the staff was all very lovely. If I’m in Rennes again I’ll automatically stay here!
- Ann (8/5): - Easy walk from the train station. Room comfortable; staff helpful. Breakfast definitely not worth 22 euros.
- Emmauel (10/5): - Excellent
- Alexander (8/5): - Great rooms though wifi below par. Keeps disconnecting, iffy etc.
Rooms tend to be too hot as well.
- Emmauel (10/5): - Great hotel and location
- Fabre (6/5): A comedy of issues... for 4 stars? - First, the hotel contacted me to tell me the spa would be closed for the whole week. But only the day before my arrival, even though that's clearly something that was planned way earlier, leaving me with no real possibility to cancel and book somewhere else (and my booking was non-refundable).
The room looked nice, with a great rain shower, but I quickly found that the mini-bar and the whole desk area had no power. So no way to work or charge my devices.
After failing to find the time to fix it the next day, they "upgraded" me to the room opposite.
I'm not sure quite what upgrade means to them - the view outside the window is on a courtyard instead of the street, but that's not something that registers much, particularly when on the 8th floor...
On the other hand, I now had one of those dreadful showers-over-bath, with a very small partition that meant that the bathroom floor would invariably get soaked and slippery. The shower mechanism was broken too, with the knob falling into the bath each time.
And instead of a double bed (single mattress) I now had 2 single beds put next to each other, with a gap in the middle. Not possible to sleep diagonally without causing back pain.
The room is fundamentally style over function. A place to hang a dripping wet coat? Forget it! USB chargers by the bed? Nope.
I ventured once in the breakfast room. Small, no style, bad smell, food looking bland. All that for €22. I went 5 doors down to a cafe where I ate nicely for €9.
- Miguel-Angel (10/5): - The hotel is in a convenient location, a few minutes walking distance from the train station. The staff is great. The hotel has a nice spa. We had a complimentary 1 hour to use it. After that, it was 10 euros. Totally worth it.
- Mitchio (10/5): - Excellent up to date hotel and spa. Close to train station and city centre/buses.
- Diane (10/5): - Gorgeous suite with 2 different balconies with views of the city. There is a bedroom, living room, and sofa bed. Table with chairs for eating. You park underground and have to reserve your spot ahead of time in advance. The hotel staff go with you as it is a car elevator. Great lobby with drinks available. In the heart of city center. We had dinner down near the Gare. Lots of choices at restaurants nearby. Gorgeous area to walk. Staff are fabulous. We had a wonderful experience!! Merci!
- Belinda (6/5): - This hotel is in a great location and whilst the rooms are very small they are clean and modern. Unfortunately, we stayed 2 nights and the room temperature was unbearable due to the air conditioning being faulty. This really impacted our stay as we just didn’t sleep. They were very apologetic and offered to deduct breakfast from our bill to compensate but sadly they didn’t and charged us in full. Breakfast wasn’t great either and £22 is quite expensive when the offering is very basic. Great location though.
- Ashley (6/5): - The hotel wss beautiful witn great ammenaties. The front desk evening staff was rude. The told me I had to reserve to swim, my girlfriend and her daughter had just finishec swimming. The attendant looked at me in discussed like I offended her that I was in a rob with my swimming suit under. Finally had to check out one day early or I would miss my flight. The front desl staff saod that since I prepaid she could not refund me for my last night, then she proceeded to charge me tax for nigjtly stay. No empathy or understanding.
- Raphael (10/5): - Very helpful and pleasant staff. We had a swim in the pool and a good breakfast. Only 7 min walk to train station. Just a fantastic stay.
- Patrick (10/5): - Great location. Excellent staff. Not the best internet in room.
- Patrick (10/5): Top of the table - Beautiful hotel with superb staff. Everything was cleanliness and efficiency. Large, comfortable bedroom with spacious bathroom.
- Elaine (6/5): - The rooms are nice and quite spacious. Service from the front desk was great. But they advertised parking available and didn’t tell us you had to reserve i in advance, so there was no where to park when we arrived. Also I DO NOT recommend the spa. Our one-hour massages started with changing at 6:15 and we were through and changed back by 7pm.
- Catherine (10/5): - Close to train station and easy to locate from there. Lots of restaurants near by and close enough to the historic sights that we walked everywhere. Lovely linen, bed, bathrobes and slippers. Unfortunately we did not have swim suits to enjoy the spa. Only negative - the bathroom and shower area is all one with a glass sliding door designed not to close all the way. There are NO hooks or place to hang any towels or the bathrobe. When showering the entire room gets wet, we used our towels on the floor to help dry it but then they can’t be reused. Bathroom has basically no room for toiletries. Okay situation for two nights but wouldn’t want to stay longer even though everything else was perfect.
- Diarmaid (10/5): Fabulous hotel in Rennes - Beautiful boutique 4 star in the Centre of Rennes.
Lovely staff, great room and a really nice spa included. Wouldn’t t hesitate to stay here again.
Highly recommend.
- Shane (10/5): Airport hotel - Nice hotel n handy for the airport
- Verified traveler (8/5): A fine hotel for a short stay - We were in Rennes only one night. Our stay was comfortable & the staff was helpful in every way. I had Wi-Fi issues which the staff did their best to help me with. I believe their system was incompatible with my software.
- STEVEN (10/5): Awesome stay! I'll be back - Very nice hotel, rooms are brand new and really quiet
- Dolores (8/5): - Very nice hotel but over priced. Shop around for better deal
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great: Nescafe coffee machine; I would have liked to be able to comment on the spa / exercise facilities, but alas I failed to bring a bathing suit.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - comfortable room ( we had an executive room). A really great breakfast and very friendly staff. The small spa is the best bit of the hotel. You have to reserve a place and it is for an hour at a time ( on the hour) but this means that only 8 people use it at a time, everyone gets a seat and it isn't too busy. It is free for the hour. We parked away from the hotel which proved to be a false economy! Its 17 euros per day. There is a new inter marche supermarket (turn right out of the hotel) 5 mins walk away. We had a great stay and can't recommend the hotel highly enough.
- Deborah (10/5): Comfortable hotel in convenient location - Comfortable hotel in convenient location. Lots of restaurants nearby. Staff very professional and helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The main reason I booked this hotel was for the pool. You needed to book to use the pool as numbers were limited as it included the sauna and spa plus you had to pay, though they did give me one free use. The room was comfortable however one downstide was that the shower could easily overflow onto the carpet. It had a great location so overall I was happy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Trip was good. Hotel was nice. Except the shower didn't work properly in that it didn't take in water. I was in a rush to leave in the morning and couldn't take a shower (found out it wasn't working when all the water ran out of the bathroom shower onto the floor).
Quite disappointed with that. They shove checked it was working before arrival considering how much is being paid for the room and the stay.
- John (6/5): - Both the WiFi and TV were very poor.
Wi Fi didn’t work, so we used the cafe next door, and the TV had not one English language channel working.
- Holly (10/5): - Great hotel with lovely, accommodating staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice stay at Rennes - Overall the experience with the hotel is great! Very clean room, super comfortable bedding. Friendly attendants. Waitress serving breakfast even remember my favorite table. Walking distance to train station. Next to several great restaurants.
The only thing that may improve is on internet access. It seems that only a few ports are allowed. My IM voice calling did not work. Could not ssh to my home computer at port 3232 either. Note that many other places (e.g. wifi at Restaurants) at Rennes has restrictions on Internet access as well. Overall this is not a bit deal for a technology person, and does not lead a notch on my overall experiences.
- Yannick (8/5): Not sure it is worth the price - Stayed there for two nights with my wife and kids. Upon arrival and checking, I asked the receptionist to get a crib for my kid as originally, he was not coming. The lady told us within the hour as they were busy. This was fine with me as we had to go for dinner, but she was definitively stressed and it showed in her tone and attitude. Unfortunately, this first impression is what stays. The room was nice but did not like the bathroom setup with tempered glass doors. I think for the price charged, there are other better options in Rennes. Overall, this is a good hotel but overpriced.
- nicholas (8/5): Great Downtown Hotel with Gym & Spa - Great location, off street parking available, gym, spa and bar.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Comfortable room with coffee machine. 2 bottles of evian with free.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel is really nice, clean and silent, room was good, so where the bathroom and shower.
Breakfast was good, had everything I usually eat.
- pak (10/5): - Nice and clean rooms. within walking distance to good restaurants and transportation.
- Linda (8/5): - Unique parking garage. You put your car including driver into a shiny stainless steel elevator which takes you to a small garage. I didn't like the bathroom, but that could be because I am modest. It's made of glass so there is no privacy from the bedroom when one takes a shower or dresses. The sink is architecturally attractive but lacks enough vanity space.
- wilson (8/5): Close to train station and bus terminal - Nice comfortable quiet hotel. Approximately 1/4 mile walking distance to nice restaurant Row.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Modern hotel in a good location - Property is very new, and good value for money. We had to have our room changed as the shower was clogged up and water overflown into the rest of the bathroom. The staff promptly took care of it but it was still a minor inconvenience.
- Caroline (10/5): Great staff - Excellent hotel staff
My husband was very sick and needed a doctor . Reception staff knew exactly who to call. Provided a great service at all times
- Janine (8/5): A lovely hotel close to the city’s amenities - A great modern hotel close to amenities. The bedroom was fabulous, if not a little small. We really enjoyed the spa facilities too- very relaxing and sumptuous.
- Gil (10/5): Lovely time - Welcoming, charming, clean, extremely comfortable. Very polite and attentive team, I felt I was at home. Impressive views, it's a lovely way to experience Renees. Well located to restaurants and shops.
- Joyce (10/5): - Very pleasant. Great Recommendations for restaurants. Check out the garden. It;s a lovely place to be.
- lior (10/5): Nice stay - Had a very nice stay room size is ok, location is very good close to the center, breakfast is not that reach no vegetables at all.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A beautiful hotel in Rennes, room in contemporary decoration, though the bathroom design is modern but not very practical and functional indeed, need for improvement.
- Daniel (10/5): Well located boutique feeling hotel. Great towels! - Recommend this centrally located hotel in the nostalgic area of Avignon.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad experience - Bad experience, hotel chosen only for the spa, we got there to be told that the SPA was not workign that week end. We couldnt get reimbursed , and were told we could get 10% on spa treatment which was way not enough for the inconvenience. Breakfast was not a 4* one, very limited choice... very disappointing. Wont book again
- patricia (10/5): Nice stay!!! - This Hotel is very convenient, 5mn from center of town and all shops. Nice restaurants in the area.
The lounge area is beautifully done.
Rooms are clean. Nice size for 2 guests.
The staff is professional and gracious.
Will definitely recommend to friends.
- len (4/5): Terrible - This hotel was supposed to be nice. It was not. It was VERY expensive for the room we were given, over 350e . The room was clean and the breakfast was ok but everything else was terrible. The room was so small you could hardly turn around and there was no place even on the floor to open the suitcase. The sink was so small that not even room for razor or toothbrush and paste. The shower drain was apparently clogged and water was leaking under the shower door onto the room carpet. We had to put towels under the door to keep water in shower area. Did I mention it was expensive too ? Do not go to this hotel but if you do make sure you do not get room 305 .
