I arrived after the owners had left but clear instructions were available and I accessed my room without issue. Bed was soft but, even as a firm mattress sleeper, it was SO comfy and I had a good sleep. Breakfast was amazing. Sweet gesture: I was given a half bottle of local wine as it was a birthday trip The only downside as a solo traveller is that they do not have a dining room, so breakfast is served to your room

- Gary (8/5): I would definitely stay again - Breakfast was very nice. However, it isn't delivered until 9 AM so it makes it impossible to get an early start on the days activities. We had to skip our second breakfast so we could leave. Breakfast delivered too late at 9. Would be better at 7 or at least 8. Bathroom tub shower doors were a bit wonky and need some repair as does the tub faucet.

The dining and especially the living, hang-out area was quite dark. The two bedrooms were very different, one was huge, with a balcony, and shower (a wonderful space) and the second bedroom was very small, bed included.

Afternoon cookies were exceptional. Fireplace prep was a nice touch. Breakfast was just OK; could have been served earlier as far as we were concerned. Bread pudding didn't have much taste. Bed was too soft and lumpy. It was too easy to hit our heads on the slanted ceiling. Baseboard heater was not terribly effective. Single-paned windows didn't keep the room's warmth in very well.

We had the 2 rooms on the 2nd floor with a connecting living room which was a nice place for us to hang out and have breakfast. Staff was really helpful. The beds are a little odd. Deep and heavily padded, but not really flat.

Lit hyper confortable avec couettes de plumes au dessus en dessous et oreillers également. Possibilité de faire un feu dans le poêle. Le petit déjeuner est goutteux et fait maison, servi devant la porte de chambre. Bref un beau moment dans cette petite ville atypique, je recommande fortement cet étape. Juste une remarque « l’évacuation de l’eau de la douche »

- Katja (10/5): Tolles B&B im Herzen von Mendocino - Super gelegen im Herzen von Mendocino und alles zu Fuss erreichbar. Das Frühstück war wirklich sehr gut und wurde aufs Zimmer gebracht. Nachmittags gab es selbstgemachte Cookies (sehr lecker) und Kaffee/Tee. Parkplatz war direkt vor dem Haus. Es gab diverse Möglichkeiten draussen zu sitzen. Beim Check-In haben wir viele Empfehlungen für die Gegend bekommen. Das Leitungswasser war wirklich sehr gut und hat nicht nach Chlor geschmeckt, da die Unterkunft einen Filter installiert hat. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Die 2. Treppe hoch ins Dachgeschoss war schon recht steil mit Gepäck. Ohne Gepäck war es okay.

We stayed in the house behind the B&B without breakfast. The kitchen provide everything what you need for cooking. The downstairs is dark and not so comfortable. Most of the windows were not able to open and the glass was fogged up.

- Nanci (6/5): Beware of the love shack! - The location is Mendocino is nice 👍🏼 They put us a different house a block away which was not even a real house, more a run down garage type building. We dubbed it the “love shack” since it was our anniversary. The terrace had moldy white pillows on the chairs and dead plants and inside the carpets and rugs were worn and dirty. The bed and bathroom were lovely thankfully. Not what one expects for this price.

I stayed with my 11 year old daughter and she described our stay as absolutely magical. Everything from the our room, to the 5 pm cookies and tea in the common area, to breakfast in our bed worm was absolutely perfect. I cannot recommend this place enough.
- Lauren (8/5): - The Headlands Inn B&B was a great place to stay for the money. Located in the heart of the village, we were able to walk to restaurants, stores and the bluffs over the Mendo Headlands. Staff was very helpful. The breakfasts were fabulous, though I do wish they were served a little earlier, they did accommodate for my food intolerances. The building and grounds could use some freshening such as fresh paint, garden care, etc. The windows didn’t work properly and I smashed my finger in one since the counter balance was not attached. The bed was lumpy and not very comfortable. Overall a nice stay!
