kay (9/5): - I loved how spacious the room was, the location, and the staff. They also go all out for that breakfast. The doors are pretty heavy and slam loudly if you aren't paying attention coming in and out. I understand the point of this to unsure safety and doors closing but wasn't a fan. The fire alarms went off two nights in a row, not their fault but was very stressful for my dog.

However, the cleanliness of the hotel is not how it used to be. It took staff a entire day to clean the pool and my kids were not able to enjoy the pool, which is the main reason we go to hotels. The staff wasn't as friendly per usual.

Dee (6/5): Disappointed - Carpet torn in parts of floor suggesting that the room may have allowed a pet. Inwhich, I would’ve preferred not having a room that had a pet in prior. You could smell the animals in hallways as you walk to your room. Bed was not comfortable and squeaked when sat on. Chairs were stained at dining table, requiring a towel to sit because I was uncertain of the causes of the stains in the chair. Bathroom sink had cracks and water drained slowly- baseboards were dusty and impacts those of us with allergies.

This wasn’t explained before we checked in and when I came back in the evening to find that they didn’t clean I asked why this was and was told by the front desk person that they have a lot of rooms and can’t get to all of them. I am certainly disappointed in this location.

James (8/5): - Nice place to stay in the outskirts of Chicagoland. Rooms were clean and close to parks and restaurants, plus only 5 minutes off the freeway. Some of the staff were not too professional. First person we encountered gave me an attitude about the rooms not being ready yet even though it was close to 3 PM check in. Another staff member was crashed out cold and sleeping at the front desk at 5 AM, the next day they were selling beer to guests at 6 AM on a Sunday when the legal time to sell beer is noon. Only a few bad apples, the majority of the staff were friendly and helpful.

The kids loved the breakfast buffet as well as the pool. The only complaint we had was the pool area is very hot & humid due to it being heated, not enough ventilation. We didn’t have any but pets stay for free...also a plus. They also have a outdoor lounge area where you can grill as well.

Poolside towels were extremely small and not overly practical for drying one’s self.

Erica (4/5): - The only thing my daughter asked for her birthday was to go to a hotel so she could swim. When I arrived, I had to sign a paper agreeing to no pool parties, and facilities were only for guests. When we got to the pool, it was obvious someone was having a party. Staff came in and saw the state of the pool area, but nothing was done. We ended up just sitting in the room half the night because it was so unsafe(30 peoplein the pool). Finally, around 8:30 at night, they sent security to break up the party. I know because I was going down to check if the party had cleared out and was down to see parents dragging their children in wet bathing suits out the back door of the hotel in 10° weather and bottlesof wine left behind on tables. We finally got to use the pool for about two hours before it closed, then got up early to use it again before checkout to find the pool had been closed for cleaning.

Diane (6/5): Overall a pleasant stay. - Breakfast was good. I've been to Homewood Suites many times in Munster, Ind. But this is the first time the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, and hard. My husband was disappointed with pre-teen children running back and forth over our heads like they were jumping off furniture, he did complain to the front desk when we were leaving and asked the manager the next time we visit to make sure we get a room at the top floor.
Berdine (8/5): Very good - The hot tube was so relaxing and nice. The breakfast was hot and variety of options.

Rita (10/5): - We try to stay here with our two grandchildren whenever we spend the weekend with them. The king studio room is very comfortable with a large refrigerator, sink, and dishwasher. The complementary breakfast is kept well stocked. The indoor pool is fun for the kids, though they were disappointed that the "bubbles" in the hot tub weren't working part of the time. The maintenance man fixed it to work for a while. Staff very accommodating.
