- Colin (7/5): Nice place, unsafe steps in our opinion. - Everything looks designed. Although we agree with other reviews' positive comments, it's with a big but... We stayed in let number 2, and it is important to note that its design style is NOT SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES, NOR THE PARTIALLY-SIGHTED in our opinion. The steep steps to the mezzanine are alternative pieces left right, not like stairs. We banged our shins multiple times ascending. Coming down the same steps was really scary: there is only half an alternating step all the way down, and you need very good eyesight to see where your feet go. Keep a light on at night. For accessibility, I recommend the owner puts brightly coloured contrasting tapes on each step, all the way from ground floor to mezzanine floor. Not the sort of thing the owner can just rectify on the spot so we didn't raise it on arrival. (Smaller note: the parking spot for no. 2 is in front of no. 1, and lighting is low, so use a torch to spot the number.) (Even smaller note: another visitor commented on the smell of cigarette smoke. We solved that by using a coat as a draught excluder at the bottom of the front door.) So, all in all, the rooms are attractive on the eye, and will suit many people, with those big caveats.

Good kitchen facilities if you wish to prepare your own food or have a take away. Mattress was very soft so we didn’t have the best sleeps during our stay.
No mirror anywhere near a plug so not good for blow drying hair.
The stools for the dining area were very high so you could only just get your legs under to sit at the table.

The communication with the property owner - Clean and modern with comfortable bed I was in the lower floor apartment so when other tenants from the building wanted to smoke/vape they would sit outside on the wall by the entrance which also happened to be outside the window by the bedroom area with their phones on loud speaker - so you could hear everything and smell the smoke - I felt they could move further away from the building entrance for the privacy and comfort of the guests in the lower floor.

The children enjoyed watching electric window shutter / blinds moving up / down. See also other comment. There was no information available, informing how to operate the electric window blackout blind / shutters (at the far end of the living room). Found by chance that the light dimming control, in single bedroom, made the living room blind go up and down, at the same time as lights went up & down in the bedroom !

The sofa and cushions are similarly worn and let the property down. There was a washing machine, but no airer/drying rack to hang wet washing. No hair dryer.

- Ronald (10/5): Excellent apartment in a lovely location - It is very easy to find coming from the M4. It's at the entrance of this beautiful village. A lovely location. Allocated parking right by entrance to our apartment.
Lovely walking on our doorstep. The nearest eating place was the other side of the village, not a problem in the summer as there was a nice walk to get to it. Might be a bit more difficult when the nights draw in as there doesn't seem to be any street lighting. So expect to use the car.
- Marisse (9/5): felt like home - the property is very clean and tidy, so cozy and the water pressure in the shower was very good. communication was brilliant and the directions were very clear, helped us find it immediately. we used it as a base for us to be able to Visit my FIL in the hospital without needing to travel 200mi/day. we were able to cook our food & watch netflix - it felt like home. so many windows that lets the outside lights in! This is NOT their fault but i came from Kent on a train to Oxford and it was rail replacement when i reached Didcot, the bus 94 going to the apartment wasn't working after 1830h. My hubby luckily who was meeting me there came half an hour later from Northampton and took me from the bus stop to Ashbrook. the gist is if you're commuting please check the last bus and train trips.

- Chris (1/5): Bad - Nothing We had been given the wrong room details, which then left us stranded until 11.30 pm, we was meant to be going out that night hence the reason for the booking.
As we were not able to get in, we could not get changed and ready for our planed night, and was unable to get access to our room and had to wait for someone to call us back regarding the room code we thought we would drive into town to find something to eat but on the way back we ended up with a puncture and still no access to the room, so now completely stuck waiting in the carpark for a call regarding the room code, after many calls to them we finally got a call with the correct details, all in all a completely wasted journey and booking.
Would never use again.

- Angela (10/5): I would definitely stay here again, loved the location , the apartment was all you could ask for a comfortable stay. - the apartment had everything you needed for our stay, great location within walking distance to local garden centre which had a very nice cafe, and 2 great pubs on you door step, both serving an excellent menu
- Rosalind (8/5): 3rd stay already book in another of the apartments. - 2nd visit to these Apartments. Location is great. Well equipped, easy access. Layout of the main room. Felt a bit squashed in. To be fair, we stayed in the 2 bedroom one last time and we maybe comparing unfairly. A few greasy pots were found in a cupboard. a hoover would be useful for a 4 night stay.

- Jemma (8/5): was lovely, definitely cosy.. - the property was lovely and clean.. unfortunately we had not realised we were in a studio room due to this, there was not a lot of storage space, as the wardrobe had the ironing board in at the front, so it was difficult to access the drawers and the small hanging space..

- Ken D. (6/5): Pleasant stay - Quiet location on the edge of a village. The apartment was comfortable but the kitchen was short of glasses and mugs. The photos on the website do not all match the specific apartment we were in - so don't be misled by them!
Only one US channel was available on the TV and although the caretaker responded quickly when we asked for help, he was unable to solve the problem.
The website forced us to pay in US dollars. We queried this with HomeAway but were give no clear explanation. Presumably we will pick up some currency conversion charges.
