- Linda (8/5): - This is overall a very nice place to stay. It's a bit dated but it is offered at a very reasonable price. The carpet needed to be removed -- it's just cleaner without carpeting. Comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast is a nice perk as well. Walkable to two very nice restaurants. I would stay here again.

- Frank (8/5): - There are many good things about the nickels in in Red Wing. It is reasonable, clean, and the people who work there are very nice. Unfortunately, they manage two hotels that are right next-door to each other. And so there was often not anyone at the front desk when you come to check in or have a question because they run back-and-forth between the two hotels and you have to call a phone number. And with the front door wide open during most of the day, it’s also kind of a security issue.

- Dawn (8/5): - Finding the hotel was a challenge. Need better markings on the road. The breakfast was good but people were confused with the egg cups in the refrigerator and one person put their egg in the waffle iron instead of the flat iron farther down the counter. They had "build your omelet", so after you poured the egg on the flat round grill, you scooped cheese, ham or sausage onto it and close the grill. It took a while to cook so people were backed up. They did have boiled eggs, yogurt, make your own waffle, breads and cereal with milk too. Accommodations were excellent. Staff wonderful.
- RICHARD (10/5): Short get away - Place was nice friendly staff with lots of local information. Bed could use an upgrade but we slept fine. Breakfast was a nice touch with the omelette maker with choice of ham or sausage and cheese to top it, we would definitely stay on our next trip to the area. We also liked the town and walked to the park for music.

- jacques (10/5): - I’ve stayed at Nichols for the past few months often and on while working in the Redwing area. I’ve been to almost every hotel in town and I always go back to Nichols because it’s just so friendly convenient and clean. Great staff, very courteous, great cleaning staff as well.. just can’t go wrong with this place. I’ve never had a bad or even questionable experience there. I love it. Also, it’s in walking distance to a couple of pubs and bars and restaurants so that that’s a huge plus. Love it love it love it go in there again next week.

Fridge was vibrating in the wooden enclosure all night. Bed was not a queen. Shower went cold quickly. We arrived late and left early but the staff was great and it was no hassle to check in or out. Overall I would stay agin but I know what I am paying for now. A place to only sleep.

We were looking for a place to stay that was close to Treasure Island Casino and this was perfect. the price was great, the staff were all friendly, the beds were comfortable, and a waffle for breakfast can't be beat.

I have traveled a ton, and never have experienced a bed that caused bodily pain, and both my husband and I were in pain in the morning.
