• Robyn (4/5): I won’t stay here again - There were 3 live bugs and one dead that we saw, it’s clear they don’t really clean like move anything and vacuum the corners. When I went to the front desk and informed the guy that they probably need to spray for bugs because there were love ones he didn’t apologize or seemed to care. Also when I mentioned he might want to make sure they are actually cleaning decent he said we tell housekeeping to do a good job but sometimes they don’t do it. That was it no apologies nothing. For $100 a night it’s definitely not worth it.

• Frankie (10/5): Clean room, friendly staff - My friend and I chose this hotel for the convenient location and price. I didnt think to request a ground floor room at booking but when we arrived, the clerk was understanding and was able to locate one for us. When we walked into the room, it smelled so good and it was very clean! We only stayed 1 night but I would definitely stay here again!

• Dorothy (4/5): - The facility was an older motel that had been somewhat updated, but the air conditioner was not cooling the room as it should. The shower controls were confusing and took a bit to figure out, but it worked well. It was very clean. I got a non smoking room, but someone smoked outside my door and threw down cigarette butts around my car so it smelled smoky. The staff was nice. I will probably not stay here again.

• Hazel (4/5): RUDE - When I made the reservation online i had 2 adults, but at last minute I had my grandaugher and great grandson(4) to come with me, the check in clerk was rude, saying I had originally had 2 adults and he could see while he was looking out the doore into my car that my grandaughter and great grandson was in the car and tried to charge me and extra $15 per person, for 1 room with 2 double beds, HARD beds. The room was clean, bathroom was clean. Next morning my grandaughter went downstairs for the Continental Breakfast (4) year old wanted milk, open container of warm Milk no top and cold coffee. I will never suggest to ANY one to come there.

• 802melodyw (2/5): Terrifying - Roaches came out at night. A centipede was in the bed. Find a spider crawling on pillow. Pillow case was nasty, need to replace pillow it self was nasty. Sheets swelled like they flip them around . We slept in the car that night after we came back from the casino around 1:30 to that morning around 6 reported to manager , wouldn't refund our money , Oh tub was nasty. Never stay here again.

• Earnest (6/5): - Noise and the handicap room is not a true handicap room because the toilet is the same as the others and the shower is in a tub and the handicap person with us could not take a shower because she couldn’t step in the tub for a shower!! We seen a roach in our room and killed it and we didn’t see anymore! Other than that we had a good stay!!

• Stephanie (10/5): Amazing Value & Charm - Just an amazing nice room & quaint hotel. My room 109 was recently remodeled & just gorgeous. My standards of cleaning is very high they exceeded it. Way underpriced. Once the weekend crowd settled down it was amazing quiet to be full. Check in was a breeze & they were nice. Loved it.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Last resort - The staff is incredibly rude. When my husband called to let them know we needed a disabled room he was called ma’am the entire time and was told they don’t “take requests” for disabled rooms. At check in we were told we couldn’t have a disabled room because we didn’t ask for one in advance. The best they could do was give us a first floor room. We got there at 2pm for our “early check in” time and we were told to come back at 4pm even though the original check in time was 3pm, because the room wasn’t ready. They checked us in but didn’t give us a key and told us we could wait there and had to leave. This was during a tornado watch and state of emergency. We booked the room to evacuate. The room was full of mold and the bath tub and shower didn’t work. If we weren’t stuck there due to the possible tornadoes and storm we would have left. It appears they also change the check in and pet fee on a whim since they take up new times and prices over the old ones.

I was skeptical especially for a last minute stay because everything was booked up butttt it was peaceful, clean, and the staff was super friendly. The entire property looked amazing!!! We have the plea sure of staying three nights so this is our final night here but we will definitely be back! Thank you so much!

They do accept pets but no more than 10 pounds and we are non smokers but they wanted to put us in a smoking room because we had a pet. They eventually put us in a non smoking room but had to get the okay from management.

• oneal (2/5): - I arrived and the attendant didn’t have a reservation for me. He stayed the reservation wasn’t valid because they don’t do business with your company I ended up having to pay again directly to the hotel. I called your company and after several minutes of holding to get a resolution. I was finally given to someone that did not refund me as promised. Please refund my money ASAP and you won’t be bothered with me ever again. It was humiliating to say the least.
• Jamie (2/5): Horrible Experience - The hotel was on the site and I reserved it. When I arrived they inform me they don’t do online reservations. I showed proof and he still denied my reservation. Luckily I had purchased the protection. Took forever to get ahold of someone to get a refund. Ended up coming out of pocket $200 more dollars to stay somewhere else. Be aware to never book with Key West Inn Wetumpka Alabama. First hotel ever that I’ve stayed at that doesn’t even have a computer at the front desk to look up reservations or guest information.
• brucewW9848AU (2/5): Out of town guest not satisfied - Do not rent a room here. The bed had a sway like a 30 year old mattress, there was no continental breakfast ( not even coffee). The room was dated as if straight out of 82. When the issues were brought to there attention no effort was made to make it right. They act like you're lying. As I said, don't rent a room here, it's not worth $106

Very pleased with cleanliness of room Reasonable cost for one night stay Good parking lot and easy to get in and out Bathroom control for shower- Very confusing. Took me awhile to figure out how to operate it. Have never seen a Bathroom fixture like this Only negative is no coffee pot in the rooms ⁸
• kimberlywillis (10/5): Wonderful Stay - Looking for a hotel late in evening and we came across Key West Inn. What a wonderful surprise. We have had some very bad experiences but this hotel was great. The check in was easy and check out was so nice. Didn’t get her name but she was especially great.

• 770darryle (2/5): Not Military Friendly!!! - As a part of profession, I spend around 300 nights a year on the road. So, I consider myself to an expert of hotels. My experience with Key West Wetumpka: I called for pricing, and I was told $55/night. That was 5 days ago (11 December 2021). Tonight (16 December 2021) I showed up to check-in. A young man, approximately 18 said the rates were $75/night. To add insult to injury: he never stood up and acknowledged me. He stayed seated and looked at me as if I had interrupted his texting session or video game. When I inquired about a military discount, he responded in very snide manner. "We don't have a discount rate. Anything else?" It was not just what he said but the manner in which he said it. As a veteran, and a man, I was insulted this kid had such poor home training. I have grandkids his age. Customer Service is a thing of the past. And children having respect for grownups have gone the way of the dinosaur. His being there is a direct reflection on the management of Key West Inn Wetumpka, Alabama. I left and went down the road to the Hampton Inn. They were glad to see me. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and a MILITARY DISCOUNT.
• B3812NEdianal (2/5): Poor Customer Service - Stayed at Key West. I could not connect to their internet, plus the tv didn’t work. Among our group, we had three rooms, and none had a working tv. Two of the rooms called down to the main desk. They informed us to go through the various inputs. Since that didn’t work, they said their cable company was having difficulty so they couldn’t help us. I wonder if they had paid their bill. The hotel is a bit run down, but is close to a casino, so we stayed.
• carriecP1179XB (10/5): Fun Relaxing Casino Trip - This place is top notch, relaxing, quiet and clean. I stay for a couple of nights when I go to the casino. They are always doing updates. Flat screen TV's with lots of great channels. The snack machine accepts $1 bills but the drink machines only accept quarters. I love staying here and staff is nice and prices very reasonable! Stayed many times before and will stay again in the future.

• lizabethj2019 (10/5): Solo - AMAZING INN TO STAY AND GET REST. I was treated with respect and enjoyed talking with the owner! Price was right for the season and area. Room was clean, supplied with clean towels and linens. Quick and fresh breakfast with coffee or juice. Delightful!
• VanHeulens (10/5): Stayed for a night because it was close to casino - Surprisingly well kept and updated motel. We love the roadside motels due to the historic value however most are run down roach houses. This place was far from it. All the updates, including flat screen TVs were a welcomed comfort that you come to expect from more expensive places but this place was very reasonable. We will stay again! It’s a great place to stop on our way to Florida to break the trip up and enjoy ourselves.

• Bama1776 (4/5): Location great, cleanliness not so much - Went to the casino nearby...... stayed here one night room is musty air condition did not work well... bad part about it is only hotel near Casino... good part about it rates are low... you get what you pay for
• Shadow1453 (8/5): Great place to spend the nigght - Great little Inn located within spittin' distance of the Wetumptka Casino. The rooms were comfortable and bright. The AC works well. Unfortunately we couldn't say the same for the room refrigerator. It made a VERY LOUD high pitched sound when it came on all through the night. Best way to fix it is to unplug it. But then, if you need to have stuff refrigerated, you're out of luck. The bathroom door refused to "catch" so you had to sit there with one foot on the door while using the bathroom. Plenty of place to eat around there if you're so inclined.

The lady at the front warned us about the smell in the room. If you have a pet you must stay in the smoking room. When we opened the door it about knocked us down. We bought lysol and used the whole can. The continental breakfast at 8 am only had cereal. The other containers were empty like it was just being set up. No one was at the desk to ask about it. So we left and went to Shoneys
• 88Ping (10/5): Comfy Stay - Stay was a unexpectedly surprise...nice clean and economical. Also in close proximity to WindCreek Casino and various of shopping areas that suits your country living expectations. You will be very please with your stay.
• redbutterfly63 (6/5): Overpriced - Stuck without a room and this was closest to our desired location with availability. Our original reservation fell through at a different hotel and this one looked cute from the outside, but it was $79.95 and room had old carpet, stale smell, old bathroom fixtures, had not been cleaned very well; found 'hairs' in the bathtub, dust everywhere, not even 1/2 roll toilet paper. Barely enough threadbare towels to shower upon arrival and have any for morning. Husband walks with a cane and I have a foot surgery boot on; very inconvenient parking and no elevator for our upstairs room. We asked for a non-smoking room yet when we got into room there were 2 ashtrays in there even though door plaque stated no smoking. Went to front desk to ask for some extra towels and what time breakfast is in morning and the woman acted like I was bothering her. She said it's no big breakfast, just a few little things...!?!
• 1234567Amy (8/5): Pleasantly Surprised - I had read the reviews on this hotel and they weren't too favorable, but my neighbor stayed there recently and said that it was OK. It was OK. The room was very clean and comfortable. My husband and I got a good night's sleep. The staff was great. And the wifi was one of the best that I had experienced in a hotel. We did not eat their breakfast, because it was only cereal, coffee, and juice, but there was a Shoney's less than a mile away. Don't expect anything fancy, because it is not, but it was worth the money.
