The only issue I had was the security in the parking lot someone put latex gloves on my car mirror but that's not the hotel's fault.the manager was so sweet and helpful like we had known each other for year's again I'll be back

- James (6/5): Cold water - The hotel was clean. My problem was the water when I went to shower last night and this morning. It went from hot to room temperature immediately. And considering that it’s winter time it was not good at all
- Shawanda (1/5): Needs more professional clerks!! - I had booked my room with intent to pay when I arrived, but before I could physically get there, the manager contacted me asking for my credit card information over the telephone. By her calling from a private number and me not knowing if it was actually them, I declined. In return she said she would cancel my booking, so I agreed with her. I mean like why have that as an option, if you’re not going to honor it!!!! I will never book there again!!!! Never made it there
- Beau (6/5): - Hotel was good for the price. It was clean and comfy. My complaint is that I arrived late and would have liked to know before I got there that the lobby was closed at a certain time. I unloaded my bags then had to reload them and go to the hotel across the street and check in then come back and there was no water there or in the room. Maybe that is more of hotels.com but nevertheless, was inconvenient at 1 AM.
- Colleen (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, comfy room, great staff
- Kammie (10/5): - We liked the two burner stove top, the microwave, and good size fridge. That way we could cook food from the grocery store.

I am glad I booked this hotel which is near to many plantations that are worth visiting. This was definitely a lucky punch.
- Phyllis (8/5): Staff is great and rooms are clean - Staff was very nice and friendly. Location is not ideal if you don't have personal transportation.
- Susan (10/5): - Overall awesome stay! Very quiet and easy to get to and from the interstate. The only thing I would suggest is getting a better checkout procedure for early morning check in for the studios, little bit of a run around but was able to get everything situated some what seamlessly.

- Vaultz (8/5): Very good -
- Latrice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darin (10/5): - My adult children and I stayed 4 nights and chose the location because we had friends in Donaldsonville, Baton Rouge and New Orleans - the location was perfect for visiting everyone - central to the entire area and experience. Added bonus is that it is a little secluded in an area with a couple of other hotels and it was very quiet and traffic was minimal. All of my expectations were met and the front desk - all 3 individuals we dealt with over our 4 day stay were amazing - friendly and very attentive! I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I am definitely going to be staying here any time that I visit the area. I found the price to be a good value and the kitchenette was invaluable to the way I enjoy traveling.
- Pamela (10/5): - Our stay was very pleasant and the rooms were very clean. Staff was awesome. The style of the rooms are very modern design. The bed was very comfortable. Noce that it had a kitchen net. We'd stay there again.
- Malcolm (2/5): - Could not get in called on phone for someone to open the door and check me in no answer and then after 5 am when the night is almost over someone called me from and told me I had to go to the hotel across the street to check in they said they have a note on the door saying that I would like a refund
- Teuetake (10/5): All good - Ground floor room was good cause don’t like using elevator or stairs. N/A

- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Tameka (8/5): Nice - It was very nice but the towels weren’t that clean.
- Christy (6/5): Pleasant - I like the price for the stay I didnt like that there was no way to get snacks or drinks after the front desk closed down. We arrived late so we didnt want to have to get back out after checking in. So we went looking for drink and snacks for the family but the door was locked up.

- Mayor (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (7/5): Good -
- Cheryl (10/5): - Very nice, clean room. Close to the plantation we chose to visit the next day. Friendly staff.
- Lakeshia (1/5): Bad - Management is very rude. Will never ever set foot on that property ever again. It was my daughter's bday/graduation weekend and she and a few of her friends just wanted to sleep out. It was never going to be a party because we had just had a party at a hall!! So "the manager" I guess that's who he was came from the back and said to cancel my reservation because they don't allow "parties" in the rooms, mind you I had reserved 2 rooms for 7people. He was rude af!!
- Kathleen (10/5): - Clean and neat.
Staff were friendly
- Alzate (10/5): Exceptional -
- Reneika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (10/5): - The property was clean and the staff was amazing!
- George (4/5): - Close ro my function
- MILDRED (8/5): - Location was great for short drive to multiple plantations on River Rd. Staff were friendly and accommodating. No frills, but comfortable. Have been on the road for 10 days and was by far the best mattress I have slept on.
Close to multiple petrochemical facilities in the area which was a bit of a turn off but location and cost made up for it and only did 2 night stay.
- Pascol (6/5): Pleasant -
- michelle (10/5): Awesome stay - Worker was really nice and courteous
- Carla (10/5): will stay there again - The location
- Pascol (5/5): Passable -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Likes: A very pleasant property, very conveniently located, surprisingly quiet, in excellent condition, grounds well kept, facility and rooms clean and comfortable, staff polite and accomodating. We wanted a couple of extra pillows and the night desk person took care of it right away.
Dislikes:
(1)Very minor: housekeeping missed the coffee maker and countertop. We spent a few minutes washing and wiping, glad there was a sink and dishwashing liquid.
(2)No fault to be assigned here, just be advised that this area is primarily commercial/industrial so don't expect a lovely view.
This is a good property providing excellent value, I would definitely stay there again.
- Theresa (9/5): Superb -
- Anitra (10/5): - This hotel was clean and well maintained and staff was great!
- Alecia (8/5): - The hotel was excellently located to visit the river plantations. It was safe, clean, a friendly staff.
- Roger (10/5): - Clean
- Nakish (6/5): - The sheets and pillowcases were extremely dingy and looked dirty. I had to purchase my own sheets.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Fine Hotel - Sometimes Petrochemical Smell Outside - I stayed at the hotel because i wanted to be close to some of the plantation houses in order to type them. Good location for that. However, this area has so many petrochemical plants that sometimes i could smell the awful chemicals. Didn't have a problem in the room but got a slight headache when outside.
- williamwP6031FF (10/5): Been coming here for years - I been coming to Suburban ext stay for 5 years and the staff id alway nice and friendly they always make sure you're comfortable while staying with them the rooms are always clean and if you ever need anything they dont hesitate to get you what you need if you're in this area i highly recommend you stay awhile.
Thanks
- Danny (8/5): Would stay here again - Very spacious, full kitchen. New property and nicely done.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly staff and was the cleanest hotel i have ever been in
- Cherie (10/5): - The staff was courteous and pleasant. Always smiling. The room was excellent. I was very pleased with everything.
- Mr13204u (8/5): Nice Place - Blue collar extended stay facility, catering to the traveling industrial worker for the nearby refineries and facilities.
Clean and well maintained, but showing some wear around the edges (big bleach stained spot in 3rd floor hallway carpeting) .
Overall, very acceptable facility, has long as you're not expecting many frills.
Good staff & management, concerned with making your stay most acceptable.
Have stayed in this facility for last 3 years on my annual trip to town for business, and have already reserved for next year trip as well.
- jessemfinger (2/5): Awful! Invasion of Privacy! - I booked a room here for business, and the front desk agent called my phone (as I’m 30 minutes away) and stated he was not going to honor my reservation, so I told him “you don’t want my money, that’s fine, cancel it.” THEN about 3 minutes later I receive a phone call from a cell phone number and it’s the GM, my husband has already booked us another room & not pleased what this agent has done, he lets him know we have a room booked, and hangs the phone up. The front desk agent gave out MY CELL phone number! He went in My reservation and obtained my personal information, i have cancelled my card because he could have stolen my information. That was an awful front desk agent as I work in Hotels! That is something you do NOT do! Do not stay here, they might steal your info!!! Don’t come here cause the are obviously BIASED.
- Dav (10/5): - The property was clean and nice It was easy access to stores and interstate It was a convenient location
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Check in and out went fast and smooth. Staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Room was clean and comfortable. And the kitchenette was clean and well stocked.
- redfishromeo (10/5): Mr - In town for work. I stayed for two weeks. I enjoyed the folks who handled the day to day activities. I would recommend this motel and would stay there again. They have a decent monthly rate if you’re so inclined to stay for a long duration. The coffee was freshly made every day. On site laundry is available.
- Verified traveler (10/5): You wont be dissapointed!!! - Hotel was great!!! Staff was friendly, it was quiet, clean, and very nice. Not a single negative!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - More than expected for an "extended stay" type hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great exercise facility.
- 565ginnyc (10/5): Great room - Great price - This was the best place to stay for the price. Stove, fridge, microwave, plus basic kitchen cooking items and utensils. Staff was very nice and even helped return a bag to me that was accidentally left behind. We stayed here while visiting Oak Alley and Laura Plantations.
- Y2119IGmatthewc (10/5): Newer Extended Stay with Great Service - This is a newer extended stay if you will be working in any of the industrial cities along the Mississippi River in the Donaldsonville, LA or Convent, LA areas.
I needed to add a day to my stay and the front desk clerk, Bhavin, was very helpful and polite. Within 5 min, they added another night and it was easy.
The front desk and staff always smiled and waved when you were leaving and arriving! You can't pay employees to be nice, they either are or are not. The employees here are just good people!
- Charlene (10/5): - Very pleasing, it was the outside street noise and that wasn't too bad, but I did enjoy my stay.
- CharlieHurley (10/5): Excellent value and a good location for visiting the antebellum plantation sites. - Donaldsonville is an industrial town although, to Europeans, it would be diificult to discern this from the hotel's location. You can see petro-chemical plant on the horizon if you search for it but essentially the hotel is ideally positioned on the highway for those wishing to visit the historical plantations. The rooms have small kitchens for guests wishing to self cater. The staff, during our stay, were very cheerful and helpful in directing us to the local attractions.
- Pat (10/5): Good stop while passing through. - Really appreciated good lighting for reading. So many places have lighting that's too dim. Internet pretty slow however.
- Cindy (10/5): Minutes from work, comfortable and affordable. - Minutes from work, comfortable and affordable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel - Check in was fast, Staff was nice. The room was overall good for the price.
- Terrione (2/5): Dont do it! - Desk service was rude , the rooms are clean but very small compared to hotels nearby . Billing issue . Bugs in the ac , I will never stay at this hotel again .
- LousianaHoney100 (8/5): Trip home / celebration - Overall, it was a pleasant trip. The rooms were basic, but nice. Walls seem them because you could hear noise in the hallway for easily. The bathroom was clean and well maintained, which is a major "breaking" point for a hotel stay for me. No breakfast on property, but there is a full size refrigerator in each room so buying food and keeping it cool was no problem. There is Wal-Mart five minutes down the street for shopping. Microwave in each room as well.
Housekeeping only comes once a week, but if you want your room cleaned before then there is an additional fee.
Front desk staff, mediocre. I work in the hospitality industry so I understand customer satisfaction, and their lack of enthusiasm of greeting guest upon arrival and check out needs improvement.
I would also like to mention, my parents stayed here as well, and I reserved a 2 queen room with accessible features. The bathroom was large enough to maneuver a walker, which was great! However, the beds were so high for both of them, that the hotel staff had to come and remove the box springs so it was feasible for them to get in the bed and rest.
Lastly, check out was at 11am, but there was a hotel worker mopping the floor in the lobby during this time, and DID NOT have "wet floor" sign up at all. This is dangerous and a safety hazard.
The review above is only my personal opinion with a few improvements for a better guest stay.
