• Christina (10/5): I absolutely loved it - Great place with awesome staff. Very helpful. One day I had breakfast and it was delicious. My room had a fan and a very good aircon. The view from the balcony was great. I used the spa, too. My massage lady 'Ma' was awesome, well worth the time. Like everywhere in Asia the bathroom could be a little bit better maintained, but it was clean. Only one thing, if this applies to you: make sure your taxi driver is able to go there, mine dropped me at the main road and I had to walk. I think because the way up is very narrow, but nice for shopping.

• Gijs (10/5): Aanrader voor iedereen. - Een oase/paradijs midden in Ubud. Heerlijk ontbijt, schone kamers, rustig. Fantastisch hulpzaam personeel. Nu i.v.m. wegwerkzaamheden geen toegang met auto, maar personeel zo behulpzaam dat ze bagage met brommers gaan ophalen. Top service.

The only downside is the market is right outside on the street and cars cannot normally drop you at the front. You will need to walk or take a motorbike. It is very quiet and a good value. So, of the fit and finish could be updated. Some hand towels would have been nice.

En plus il est très bien placé, ce qui rend les déplacements à pied plus facile. La piscine est trop mignonne et agréable à utiliser. Les chambres sont bien, j'en ai testé 2 différentes ! Les jardins sont soignés et bien entretenus. Le personnel est adorable. Ils ont accepté de garder mon gros sac le jour du check out durant quelques heures. J'ai juste pas trop apprécié l'armoire à fringues qui avaient une drôle d'odeur. Un matin, des voisines ont parlé super fort et si les voisins décident de ne pas être discrets, vous les entendrez. Quelques fourmis dans la chambre.

• Cristina Gabriela (10/5): A little piece of paradise I’ll carry with me. - My stay at The Tunjung Retreat Ubud was simply unforgettable. The room was incredibly spacious, just like the terrace, all surrounded by lush greenery… a true peaceful escape. And yet, it’s so close to the center: outside there’s life, but the moment you step in, it feels like entering a quiet oasis where everything slows down. Everything was spotless, the energy was beautiful, and most of all, the people were amazing — kind, welcoming, and genuinely authentic. Grateful for all of this… and to Bali for the energy you feel and the energy it gives to every person you meet.

• Vasiliki (10/5): A great option for Ubud! - The location is great, close to everything but the property itself is very quiet and we hear no noise from the street. Their rooms are spacious, the view is great, the rooms are clean, no bad odour and no insects. The staff is extremely friendly, and they can help with booking tours or motorbike rental. There’s nothing to complain about. The hotel is great, we would stay again

The bathroom in the poolside room is huge and the hand shower had good pressure. Although there was a huge bath tub, it was not operational, and the hand basin taps did not work well. I did not get a long table and chairs in one room for gathering as requested. • Barker (6/5): - Location is very central, close to quiet jungle and paddy fields. Awesome massage place just 100m north up the lane. Airconditioner so noisey, you sleep with just the crilong fan. The fridge sounds like somebody mixing voncrete nearby. Curtains and building design equals a 6am wakeup. If you ontend to stsy here do pack a sleeping masks and earplugs

• Angela (10/5): - Das Retreat macht seinem Namen alle Ehre, ein wundervoller ruhiger Rückzugsort aus dem trubeligen Leben in Ubud und das mitten im Zentrum. Die Zimmer sind ein Traum, farblich abgestimmt und großzügig vom Bad bis zum Balkon. Es fehlt an Nichts. Das leckere Frühstück wird auf dem Balkon zur gewünschten Zeit serviert. Das Personal ist megafreundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Garten mit seinem Pool ist ein Juwel. Ubud ist immer wieder eine Reise wert und dann unbedingt mit Übernachtung im THE TUNJUNG UBUD RETREAT.

• Philippa (10/5): Lovely quiet hotel situated minutes away from the centre of Ubud - Lovely quiet hotel located minutes away from bustling Ubud. Large comfortable room next to a lovely swimming pool. Very reasonably priced with friendly staff. The hotel had it’s own spa with reasonably priced massages. Hard to find fault with anything!
• Saleem (1/5): - The only good thing about this place was the location. I booked the place for 6 nights. I tried to contact the property before my arrival but I was unable to reach them as they never answered my phone call. When I arrived at the property, I was told by the staff that the property dont have a permanent phone number. They have a private mobile number which they usually give to their tenants on arrival. After my check in, I was given room on 3rd floor where I have to walk a 4 set of stairs to my room. Here the surprise in the room, no rubbish bin the room, no facial tissues at all, only 2 hangers for clothes. The room wasn't cleaned properly. There were 2 power sockets in the room which were occupied by the bed side lamps and I have to push the bed side tables in order to use them. The shocking part is the staff never acknowledged any of my concerns and never said sorry at all. I made a complaint to booking.com and after they received an email from booking.com instead of resolving issues or listen to my concerns I was offered to leave the property after one night. In my opinion, if you are after a comfy stay, I won't recommend this place at all.
• JenSto (10/5): Väldigt fint och lugnt hotell. Rekommederas varmt! - Väldigt fina, vänliga, hjälpsamma personal. esp Tawi och Grundu (?, han som mötade oss när vi checkade in sent). Väldigt lugnt hotell med Indonesiskt design, kan beställa frukost som de leverar till rummet, har 2 pooler och spa (med bra priser), väl fungerande wifi och val mellan luftkonditionering eller fläkt, kan hjälpa till med tvätt av kläder (lägre priser). Tyckte om jättemycket deras olika hus med Balinesisk design. Man kan höra fåglarna, cicada, apor från naturen. Mycket fina växter. Kan se från vår balkong några lokal tradition/ceremoni. Verkligen jättefint att bo i Tunjung Retreat. Tack till alla. Inte hela världen, men kanske kan man ha nya bath towels.

• miyuki (10/5): - ライスフィールドの散策に便利な立地でした。 価格も手ごろで、王宮や繁華街にも近く従業員の対応も良い。熱いお湯がたっぷりと出て、深いプールやプール越しの木々も素敵でした。朝の散歩に日中のプールとゆっくりできました。お勧めします。
• Isabelle (10/5): Séjour de 2 nuits pour visite des alentours d’ubud (rizières, temples, cascades…) - Très bien situé dans Ubud, dans la rue d’un marché. Calme car vue sur la jungle et rue quasiment piétonne. Les rues principales sont proches pour partir visiter ou manger. Les piscines sont incroyables. Le départ d’un chemin pour se promener dans les rizières est à 2 pas. Super hôtel Rien

• Nadine (9/5): Super hôtel - bon rapport qualité prix - L’emplacement aux alentours des commerces, du marcher, belle vue au calme, spa massage à bas prix, température de la piscine rafraîchissante mais bonne, réceptionnistes très sympa et réactif, grande salle de bain, bon petit déjeuner servi directement sur le balcon de la chambre Réfrigérateur bruyant, clim qui souffle en direction du lit.
• Debbie_WANZ_2468 (9/5): I definitely recommend staying here. - We were a group of 11 women, each in our own room and we all loved staying here. The location is perfect, far enough away from the noise and the busyness of the main ubud roads yet very close to everything we needed..shops, market, walks, restaurants and bars. The staff were absolutely wonderful, so welcoming and helpful. We loved the two pools too. Nothing really...the pillows were a bit uncomfortable, quite big and firm.

• Denise (10/5): Lovely relaxing accommodation with great staff. - Beautiful accommodation close to everything but tucked away down lane way very peaceful. Every member of staff where friendly and welcoming. Breakfast delivered to your balcony was a nice touch. Lovely grounds with small pool. The deck around the pool is in need of some maintenence. Just be aware that taxis can't always excess the property. The lane leading to the property is very narrow. We where lucky as we arrived in the evening so our driver was able to take us to the door
