• Miren (9/5): TRES CENTRAL - Isabelle , la propriétaire, est adorable, elle nous a laissé la chambre jusqu'à notre départ à 16h, sans contrepartie. Le petit déjeuner est super. Il y avait enormément de vent, alors elle nous a donné une chambre à l'étage au dessous, pour etre plus abrité. Besoin d'un peu de décoration dans les chambres, tables de nuit

The hotel itself is charming, peaceful and beautifully maintained, with excellent attention to detail, very comfortable rooms and a warm atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. What truly made our experience outstanding, however, was the remarkable quality of service and the exceptional management of the manager and owner Isabel. Her professionalism, kindness, efficiency and genuine care for guests are rare and truly memorable. She creates an atmosphere of hospitality that elevates the entire experience. Every recommendation, every interaction and every detail was handled with great care and elegance. Kira’s is not simply a hotel — it is a place with soul, where guests are welcomed with authenticity and intelligence. Without hesitation, a 10/10 experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Mindelo and São Vicente.

• Charlotte (9/5): We regretted booking this place only for the one night - Just a few meters away from the Museum, this hotel has incredible outer areas (terrace and patio), we arrived early in the morning and although our room wasn't ready, we were invited to add a breakfast to our stay for this arrival day. They also let us leave our very big bags until the room was ready and we purchase a laundry cycle from them. Everything was clean, dry and folded by early evening. The staff was incredibly nice, the breakfast was great and they prepared some to-go bags for our next morning as we had a boat to catch. The room was nice too. The extra breakfast was kind of hinted as if it were complimentary and it wasn't. It was actually perfectly normal to pay for it, of course, it's just the miscommunication that was slightly disappointing. But this is really if I have to find something negative to say :D

Everyone was incredibly kind and always made sure we were having a great time - from the owner to the kitchen, cleaning, and security staff. The bed was extremely comfortable, and breakfast was absolutely amazing! Every detail felt thoughtful from homemade yogurt, delicious omelettes, and incredible fresh bread (best part for me!). We loved every moment of our stay at Kira's. It was a true pleasure, and if we ever return, we will definitely stay with them again.

• Dirk (10/5): Fabulous Stay in Mindelo - Absolutely wonderful guesthouse in Mindelo. Almost a reason to visit Sao Vicente-Mindelo and spending a few days before heading to Santo Antao. . Nothing
• Dirk (10/5): Best Guesthouse in Africa? - I stayed here twice so this is just a second review to elaborate. Fabulous "boutique" guesthouse. Easy to walk around Mindelo. Great helpful staff. Twelve minutes walk to port if you are catching a ferry. I stayed in a bright "front" room which was breezy and cool in late April...no need for a/c. Breakfast excellent. Really a perfect guesthouse. I noted a previous guest's remarks on "noise" at the front. It is true that some motorcycles decide this is a perfect street to race up around 2100 each night. Odd given that this is a rather lovely neighborhood where the next real noise will be street sweepers around 730. But do book a "back" room if you are sensitive. I would note that dining options within walking distance are limited, but there are some fine simple spots.

Wir würden immer wiederkommen und wenn es 12 Punkte gäbe, hät - Selten so einen angenehmen Aufenthalt gehabt, man fühlte sich wirklich willkommen. Wir wollten spontan um eine Nacht verlängern, es war kein Problem, es war den Mitarbeiterinnen nur unangenehm, dass man uns nur das Zimmer direkt an der Rezeption anbieten konnte. Am Tag der Abreise konnten wir unsere Sachen bis 16:00 Uhr im Zimmer lassen. (Ohne Aufpreis, da sie es erst am nächsten Tag wieder brauchten)Es war alles sauber, Frühstück liebevoll und authentisch. Wir würden immer wiederkommen und wenn es 12 Punkte gäbe, hätte es eine 12 verdient. Fahrt zum Flughafen vom Hotel organisieren lassen, sonst wird vom Taxifahrer bei Touristen gerne nochmal 5 € draufgepackt.

Adorei os passarinhos que queriam partilhar o nosso manjar matinal. A localização é fantástica, mesmo ao lado da Praça Nova e do Centro de Artes. First we stayed 2 nights in a room at the back. After we came back from Santo Antão we stayed another night but this time at the street side. There was a lot of noise from cars and motorcycles.

• Yvette (10/5): - Kira’s is een super fijn verblijf middenin het centrum van Mindelo. Het gebouw zelf is prachtig, ook erg netjes en onwijs schoon. Het ontbijt is erg uitgebreid en lekker, de medewerkers heel vriendelijk (ook snelle reacties op berichten) en meedenkend. Een aanrader! Het is een beetje gehorig (we verbleven op de tweede verdieping) - al denken we dat dat voor alle gebouwen jn het centrum geldt.

Excellente localisation au centre-ville, à 10 minutes à pied du port (d’où part le ferry pour Santo Antao) et 15 minutes de la plage. Petit-déjeuner buffet avec beaucoup de choix. Surtout: personnel et propriétaire aux petits soins. Accueil en français. On comprend aisément pourquoi cet hôtel figure de longue date parmi les meilleurs hôtels de Mindelo. Rien à redire.

On avait demandé 2 lots séparés (d’où la réservation d’une suite) et avons eu un lit double dans une chambre un peu plus grande que les autres… avec possibilité d’un petit lit d’appoint. À privilégier si vous êtes en couple.

• An (9/5): Niet twijfelen! - Bijzonder vriendelijk personeel. Lekker ontbijt met heerlijke verse fruitsalade, je kan het op het terras of binnen eten. 11/10 voor netheid! Alles vlot te voet te bereiken, ook de ferry en restaurants op wandelafstand. Had in eerdere reviews gelezen dat het wat rumoerig kon zijn op straat. Is ook zo, maar wij hebben oordoppen mee op reis, dus geen probleem voor ons.

• Jeannette (9/5): Fijne locatie, vlakbij het centrum, heel goed uitgebreid ontbijt , goede bedden en airco. - Geweldig adres, locatie net buiten het centrum, lekker rustig, toen wij er waren ( vrijdag /maandag ) Heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt, wat je buiten kon opeten. Cachupa, omelet, fruit, ham, kaas, jam, vruchtensap, yoghurt, genoeg broodjes /brood en cake. Fijne kamer. Goede douche. Er werd Engels gesproken. Dit was van onze 8 locaties, het enige adres waar onze koffer naar boven gedragen werd! Eigenlijk beviel alles. Dit was het beste adres tijdens onze 16 daagse rondreis ( we hadden 8 verschillende locaties ) maar het was dan ook wel de duurste. Bijna 100 euro per nacht voor 2 personen. Prijs kwaliteit vind ik dan een beetje uit balans.

Spacious room, great breakfast and a lovely roof terrace!! Everything was perfect.

• Johanna (10/5): Aangenaam, comfortabel en zeer attent en vriendelijk. - De vriendelijke en attente sfeer. Het was fijn dat het hotel ook aangename plekjes bood op het dakterras en in de binnentuin. De locatie is fijn, op loopafstand van het centrum. Isabel zorgt ervoor dat je een onbezorgde vakantie geniet. Ons beviel alles!

• Carlos (10/5): Fenomenal - Está bien situado. El trato es extraordinario. Es muy agradable desayunar en el patio interior. Te dan toda la información que necesitas y te ayudan a organizar excursiones si lo deseas. No puedo decir nada malo. Solo dar las gracias por todo.
• Thomas (10/5): Fantastic Mindelo Hotel. - What a lovely hotel centrally located in Mindelo. The staff were fantastic, room pristine. Can't recommend Kira's Boutique Hotel any higher, and would stay here again should we return.
• jolanda (10/5): Aussergewöhnliche Unterkunft von privater Gastgeberin geführt - Sehr saubere und gemütlich eingerichtete Unterkunft mit Liebe zum Detail mit Sonnenterrasse und kleinem gemütlichen Innenhof in der Nähe zum Stadtzentrum (5 Minuten zu Fuss). Die Hauslady ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und das Frühstück sehr reichhaltig und lecker.
