Mellissa (10/5): Spacious delicious luxury stay on the farm. - Breakfast was divine. Fresh jams and marmalades from the farm, plus fresh pressed pomegranate juice. Everything was so fresh. And dinner, when available, was a peak life experience! The farm itself is so lovely, and the infinity-edge pool makes it feel like a 5-star resort. At first, I was turned off by the empty walls in the rooms - the furnishings are simple and a bit spartan. But the larger suite we chose was very spacious, and could have held more people, with the extra twin bed and sofa. The beauty of the grounds made up for whatever I felt was a bit spare in the rooms.

It's a family-run haven nestled in the Sicilian countryside, offering a true taste of local life. Arriving there was no problem at all driving through fields with Pomegranate and Olive trees. Large parking was just near the premesis. The welcome from the lovely family set the tone for our stay. Warm and genuine, they instantly made us feel at home. The premesis have beautifull design and setup. Our room was a very comfort and spacious, with a good-sized bathroom and shower that was sparkling clean and well-equipped. It has also Air conditioning to beat the summer heat. But the true stars were the pool and garden area. Immaculately kept and beautifully kept, They provided a tranquil escape to soak up the sun and unwind. Breakfast was a daily delight, featuring an array of freshly made local products. Each morning offered a new selection, showcasing the bounty of Sicilian agriculture. However, the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the evening meals. Giuliana's cooking was nothing short of outstanding. Every night, we were treated to a delicious spread of homemade dishes, featuring a range of local specialties. From the mouthwatering antipasti to the decadent desserts, each course was a masterpiece. But it wasn't just the food that made our experience unforgettable. The family's genuine care and attentiveness truly made us feel comfortable and like part of the extended family. Their service went above and beyond, ensuring our every need was met with a smile. La Mela di Venere was a beautiful escape where tranquility meets delicious food, and genuine hospitality reigns supreme. Snídaně vynikající, možnost večeře - výborně vaří. Jediné, co bych vylepšil, ale nechci to psát do mínusu - lepší odhlučnění pokojů, ale určitě to není žádný průšvih!

The staff is friendly and supportive. The dinner was completely worth it, included breakfast is also diverse. The pool is clean, you have enough place to swim and get some sun light. There is also jacuzzi. The whole place has a lot of space to walk around. The pool had a lot of wasps, which not sure if it could be managed somehow, having wild nature all around.

Joanna (8/5): Between the pomegranate groves stands this modern property serving own products for breakfast. - Location in a quiet and secluded place between the pomegranate groves was brilliant. Nearby town was offering few nice restaurants and local feast. Products like fresh pomegranate juice, own oregano, jams and olive oils were served for breakfast and available for souvenir purchase. Large outdoor living room under the gazebo was a blessing in the warm weather offering constant breeze. The pool was modern and well kept. Green area around the complex was very well kept with mature olive trees creating particular character. Owners are lovely and modest people. Rooms were modern and decent with good AC. Breakfast and dinner room was very empty, lacking some decor and fabrics to reduce echoing. Background music was missing in that space as well.

Anthony (10/5): Lovely rural agriturismo in a perfect location to explore south-east Sicily! - The agriturismo is in a perfect location to explore south east Sicily. We visited Palazzolo Acreide, Modica, Siracusa/Ortigia, Ragusa and Noto easily by car from La Mela Di Venere and all were well worth the trip! We stayed in the triple room with terrace and it was very comfortable for the 2 of us. We appreciated the loveseat in the sitting area for reading or enjoying a pre-dinner cocktail and the mini fridge for storing beverages. We found the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and the toiletries provided were a nice quality. Our hosts Giuliana and Salvo were very accommodating. We took a wrong turn on our way and got a bit lost (don’t trust Google maps!). Salvo very kindly met us in his truck and escorted us to the property. We ate dinner there 3 nights out of 5 and it was outstanding. After the first night we asked to share 1 portion between the 2 of us because the servings are so large. Breakfast was very good, better than most in Italy. Although we did not use it, the infinity pool is gorgeous, as is the property generally. We really enjoyed our stay at La Mela Di Venere but we did notice a couple of things that could be improved upon. The property is out in the country (a good thing!) and Google maps tried hard (and succeeded once on arrival) to send us down some very challenging roads. I notice other guests have mentioned this in reviews and I think a message describing the best way to get to the property a day or two before check-in would be very helpful. Our only other suggestion would be to put some hooks in the bathroom for towels and perhaps turn the temperature up a bit on the hot water heater. I found showers just a little bit cooler than I would like.
Christopher (9/5): Brilliant stay at a hidden gem. - This hotel was an absolute hidden gem. Really friendly staff, clean and functional rooms, a beautiful swimming pool and AMAZING home cooked food. They put on a dinner for 35 euros per head that was amazing value and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel for a getaway with friends or a loved one. Didn't bother us but you will need a car or to take a taxi to get here and around the local area, it is VERY remote so you can't walk anywhere nearby or takes buses, the nearest town is perhaps 10 km away. Facilities in the rooms are basic but functional and you can't drink the tap water (not the hotel's fault!) but you can buy bottled water for 2 euros at the hotel itself.
Steve (9/5): Great experience in Sicily! - Beautiful property and lovely pool- refreshingly cool late September. Staff was wonderful with great service- so friendly. We had breakfast and dinner there and loved the experience. Delicious and fresh! The pomegranate juice was fresh from the property. The property is inland accessed from winding roads, which is part of the experience to be in the countryside. For people that may not be looking for that experience, just be aware, but it was close for a wedding we attended. We enjoyed the property for our short stay.

The hosts are so lovely and will assist you every step of the way. Not only mention the dining experience they offer, whereby the food was stunning to look and enjoy. Marie (8/5): Very good - Beautiful lokation for a getaway from the noise of the bigger cities. Very friendly staff. Rooms were big and comfortable. The dinner was great and homecooked with fresh ingredients. We payed 35 euros pr. person and got both antipasti, primo, Secondo, and dessert. Could have done a bit more to make a romantic/cosy vibe. We stayed on the first floor, where there was a big terrace with one chair at each room door. Could have been nice with a small sitting area for two people. The breakfast/dinner area was very loud and lit up by quite a few lamps, which ruined the scenery a but for us. It had more a cantine wibe than a restaurant.

Trev (10/5): Exceptional and stunning agriturismo that is worth every penny. - This agriturismo is truly fantastic. Firstly, the hosts are incredibly friendly, helpful and polite. The place itself is simply stunning. Very nice location, ample parking including vehicle electric charging point, huge outdoors area surrounded by beautiful greenery, large outdoor pool that was outstandingly clean complete with gazebos and sunbeds. The rooms are very clean and spacious, super comfortable beds, and complete with wifi, TV and ac. We also chose to have dinner twice and I must say the food was exceptional, including the portion, and very reasonably priced. The breakfast, yet again, was excellent. We strongly recommend this agriturismo and just wish we had more days off work to spend more time at this fantastic place. The stunning views at the pool area surrounded by the greenery makes you to just want to stay there. Absolutely nothing that we did not like.
Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Salvo and Giuliana made sure to make our stay a memorable one. The pool area and surrounding olive trees are just beautiful and breakfast and dinner were as good as you would expect from a top Sicilian agriturismo. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Nothing really.
Mandy (10/5): 100% Worth a Visit. - The pool & its area are amazing. Very quiet & peaceful with an amazing view. Very good breakfast, incl. various fruit, bread, yogurts, eggs, cold cuts, cheese, sweet treats. Spacious clean room with greenery view. Super nice & helpful owners. The drive through from the gate to the actual carpark (about 500m). Our car was super clean but ended up white with dust after few minutes. Do not wash your car if staying at this place. Not suitable for road bikes.

Jacqueline (9/5): A gorgeous pool and delicious home cooked food in a lovely rural location - This is a very modern, presumably recently built, small complex of letting rooms on a farm with a drop dead gorgeous infinity pool and absolutely delicious home cooked food provided by the incredibly hard working, friendly and welcoming hosts. The location is very rural - ideal for getting away from it all and deep relaxation. The evening meal is a table d’hôte menu, but the quality was really very high and everything was delicious - we especially enjoyed the numerous anti-pasti dishes lovingly prepared for us every evening. The downside of the rural location is that there are no restaurants within walking distance so on evenings when there was no dinner provided (2 evenings out of our 7 night stay) we had to drive. We found the room decor a little spartan and also thought some additional shaded seating areas would be good, perhaps on the terrace outside the rooms. Similarly, an outdoor dining area would be a lovely addition. But on the whole, we were very impressed with everything.

Shantini (9/5): Charming and very kind thoughtful hosts! - Our hosts, Giuliana snd Salvo, were exceptionally kind and good people. we were traveling with our 17 month old grandson, with our son and daughter-in-law, and they very kindly made an early infants meal for him at 6pm so we could put him to bed before our dinner. They also got a room ready for him so he could have his afternoon nap. It is a very peaceful place and charming in its ambience. Thank you Giuliana and Salvo
