Guest Reviews
- Crystle (8/5): - Close to hospital was why we chose
- Zachary (10/5): - Staff were helpful and accommodating. Kitchen area was nice. Bathroom was fine
- Verified traveler (4/5): Unhappy - Biggest issues were misleading info provided by YOUR company re beds provided - plus delay at checkin plus lack of empathy by hotel manager and owner
- Verified traveler (10/5): Close to the RUH - This was a warm comfortable place to stay. Right across the street from the university hospital. Extremely clean and comfortable. It is an excellent place to stay when you have a loved one or you yourself are going into the hospital. There’s a communal kitchen to prepare something to eat or make yourself a nice cup of tea or coffee.
- jackie (2/5): - Terrible experience. It's not even a hotel, it's a house with common bathroom and kitchen. I wouldn't stay there again if it was free
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location for meetings at the University. Walk or bus to downtown easily. Great price. Shared bathrooms workable.
- david (10/5): laura's little lodge - Good value for those who are looking for very economical clean lodging. Well kept shared bathroom. Close to Saskatchewan University for students and 5 minute walk direct access to downtown. Very quiet.
- debbie (10/5): - I have stayed at Laura's Lodge many times. And I hope they stay in business so that I can continue to go back. They have great rates, it's impeccable, and it feels welcoming and safe. I requested assistance to adjust the air conditioning and the staff aided immediately and to my satisfaction.
- gacel (6/5): Experience - Room way too small, and adjoining the shared bathroom! Staff very nice and polite. Had to charge us way too much for cancelling because of Expedia.
- BudgetTraveller (8/5): Basic accommodation across the street from U Sask. - I stayed here one night when I just needed basic accommodation for one night prior to a morning meeting near the University of Saskatchewan. This hotel is essentially a boarding house with residence-style accommodation. There was a shared bathroom on our floor, and no TV in the room. But the room the clean, the WiFi worked well, and the location was perfect.
- Sean (10/5): Charm and character, like staying in a nice home. - Tucked in beside the University and the riverside walking trails this is a gem! Not a typical "hotel" as you do have a communal area which is like a large comfy living room/kitchen to spend time in and meet other guests if this is what you want. The bathrooms were very clean but be aware they are down the hall from you room. Bed was super comfy and I would recommend this location to anyone.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The place was super clean, the only downside was that the room with twin beds was way smaller than what is shown on the website. Wasn't a big deal since we were just passing through and only needed to sleep there.
- wayne (8/5): - The stay was okay but left 1 day early & Hotels has not been able to refund monies for 1 nite. How do I retriev the funds?
- Brandon (8/5): Hostel type stay - Just on our way to Alaska and needed a place to rest. More like a hostel than a hotel. Different but it was okay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean, comfortable, affordable without the frills - I had a very short, but comfortable stay. Check in was easy and the employee was friendly and informative. The accommodations were clean and quiet, and despite having shared washrooms, they appeared to be very clean. The room I stayed in did not ha e a TV, but the WIFI connection too was excellent so if you have a tablet or laptop, you could easily watch Netflix without any problems. The kitchen and common narea was clean and modern, and there was tea, coffees and bottled water provided. I would definitely stay again, as the price was very fair for what you're getting. If you're looking for accommodations without the frills, stay here.
- Brad (8/5): Close to the Hospital; Shared Accomodations - If you need a place to the U of S or University hospital - and don't mind shared accomodations - this is the place. It is right across the street from the hospital. It's faster to get to most parts of the hospital by walking from Laura's Lodge than parking at the hospital. It's also relatively inexpensive. On the down side, all you get is a room. The bathrooms and kitchen and living room are shared with the other guests. There are no TVs in the bedrooms, only 1 in the living room. The facility is well maintained and clean, but the furnishings and bedding is very old. The free wi-fi is nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable - The staff is awesome and pretty flexible in terms of check in/out. The hotel is very clean. Although the bathroom is shared but it is kept super clean all the time. The room is renovated, clean and spaceous. The only annoying thing for me was that the room is not sound proof so it was not a quiet stay. Yet, I will use it in the future.
- Gennadiy (10/5): Quiet little lodge - Quiet room, Beds could have been bigger
- miles (6/5): It's close to downtown and at a good rate! - Amazing staff here but do note that all the rooms have a communal bathroom. Friendly atmosphere with clean rooms but once again all facilities are shared.
- murray (8/5): Basic and good - Was simple clean and good
