- Joseph (9/5): - What a wonderful town, beautiful people.Great trails
- Guest (9/5): The inn is primarily a hostel, but has several nicely appointed private rooms; a great experience. - Breakfast was continental, muffins and coffee, as advertised. Room was excellent, bed comfortable. There was no closet in the room, but hooks on the wall for coats, etc.
- Harley (8/5): Nice place for an informal stay with bikers and hikers. - Nice old house, comfy bed, good ambiance. Shower was minimalist. Facilities definitely hostel style rather than B&B.
- Nancy (10/5): - Very pleasant and helpful hosts. Lots of amenities for those hiking the Colorado trail, including shuttle from the trail to the Inn.
- Robert (10/5): -
- Carolyn (9/5): - Clean, comfortable, nice staff. Love having a kitchen to use. Great muffins That they are closing
- Silke (8/5): -
- Kathy (9/5): Fine for one night stay. Check in easy and front desk helpful - Comfy bed, nice bathroom Not easy for me to climb stairs up to the room
- Ethridge (9/5): Comfortable, quiet and perfect for my needs. - The staff was great. Helped me with all of my needs. I was just coming off trail work on the Colorado Trail so was great to be able to clean up and do laundry before heading out the next morning for some backpacking. The bunkroom was quiet and the beds comfortable. Just a short drive into town center and Salida is a wonderful, relaxing town. Staff put out breakfast early enough that I was able to grab something even though I left early. All this at a great price point. Pretty long wait for laundry as only one machine but worked for my needs.

- Caroline (9/5): Definitely worth your consideration - Room was comfortable - mattress excellent. Plenty of hot water. Very friendly staff person checked us in and out No coffee or muffins left when we wanted some. Carpet could have been cleaner.
- Mcgrorey (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed in a private room (rather than bunk room). Being a 'hostel' our expectations were a little lower than a regular hotel, but our room far exceeded our expectations. Clean, quiet, comfy - private bath. Loved it. Had the benefit of a shared kitchen (and fridge) of a hostel, but super nice and private room like a hotel. Location was excellent too - along the river and short walk along the path to town. Highly recommend the Salida Inn & Hostel!
- Joseph (8/5): Very good - Mike who checked me in was super friendly and helpful, and knew all about Salida as a local. All the staff were extra friendly and made me feel welcome and comfortable during my short stay. The room was quiet and comfortable. I found the bed to be exceptionally comfortable for this type of property. I was able to easily get anywhere in town from here by bike. Air conditioning was not working during my stay, and this was not posted on booking.com or the property website.

- Lattimore (10/5): Great place to kick back and relax. Very clean and comfortable - Did not participate in breakfast Can't think of anything
- Rebecca (9/5): Good place to spend the night - The management was very friendly and helpful.
Good location
- Sanna (5/5): Passable - The room was clean and beds good. The reception was very uncomfortable. We arrived 3.40pm and were told to come back at 4pm.
The guy in the entrance was under drugs and very weird. We almost left although couldn’t cancel the room. In the morning, there was nobody and we just left the key at the reception.
I wouldn’t recommend the place to anybody. It made us feel uncomfortable.
- Joey (8/5): Very good - Close to where we spent most of our time

- Jayne (8/5): Very good - Service was good, esp with home made muffins. Place is cosy and feel like a home. Bathroom has no hanger and too small to change.
- Chiannini (8/5): I'd stay here again and would strongly recommend to others. - Easy logistics, great value for the price, super clean and quiet rooms and common spaces. More seating for dining.
- Michael (10/5): - Very friendly staff. Comfortable room. Full access to the kitchen is very nice.

- Susan (10/5): Best place to stay in Salida. - We have stayed at the Salida Inn and Hostel before, no reason to check other places to stay while visiting Salida. Great location, great staff, great price, great being able to use the kitchen to make our meals and eat in, we enjoy relaxing on the sofas in the living room, It’s all good.
- Penelope (9/5): Superb - I loved the family feel and availability of a kitchen Bed was a little uncomfortable
- Mitchell (10/5): It was a nice place to stay we will consider it next time we’re I.the area. - It was very comfortable and quite also nice decor.
- Cwh3291 (9/5): Wonderful hostel in a historic Colorado town - Very clean, spacious room, keypad entry, kitchen supplies were well labeled. Interesting books. Nearby trail along river and wildlife viewing area. Walking distance to historic downtown. No complaints. Markedly better than a hostel we stayed in recently in Leadville.
- Meredith (10/5): - The people were amazing and friendly, and the Red Mountain room was very nice and comfortable!
- Savannah (10/5): Exceptional - Best place I have ever stayed for the value. Private facilities available, would recommend to any traveler. Staff was excellent. Comfy beds.

- Cassandra (10/5): - It was as comfortable as visiting a relative's home. The hygiene was very clean and tidy, spotless. The mattress, bedding and towels were very comfortable and soft. All the necessities were provided. Fresh blueberry muffins and coffee were provided for the morning.
- Chaya (10/5): Fantastic - We appreciated the flexibility of the staff so much, and being able to use the kitchen to cook our meals was so helpful for us. We were very comfortable in our room. Some of the kitchen utensils could use some cleaner options like sponges, towels, and dish drainers. It helps guests want to use kitchen items more
- Anya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Larry (9/5): Superb -
- Miriam (9/5): Superb -
- Anais (10/5): Great Hotel in Salida - This was my second time staying at The Salida Inn and Hostel. The family room on the first floor is very spacious. The Salida Inn is just a short walk to downtown, allowing for easy access to local shops and restaurants while enjoying a calm and relaxing environment.
The bathroom was well-equipped and featured thoughtful amenities, including feminine care products, which were greatly appreciated.
- Veronique (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): Great experience. Very comfortable and quiet. Convenient having a kitchen. -
- lily (8/5): - easy going friendly staff.
- Annette (10/5): Fun Salida Adventure with the Girlfriends - Lovely stay in the family room with my walking group friends . Host was attentive. Muffins, coffee and tea available. Short walk to the Salida River trail and 1/2 mile to downtown. Enjoyed the communal areas inside and outside. Enjoyed visiting with other guests. Again the family room was a hit. Very clean and comfortable. Had lots of fun in Salida. All was great.
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional - it was cosy and welcoming. There was free laundry with clothes to wear whilst being done. The beds were beautifully made and it was a fantastic location..The staff were friendly and helpful and they allowed us to store our bikes too.
- Amy (9/5): Superb -
- Orion (10/5): Great value - Comfy, clean, and the suite we had was more spacious than I expected. The guy working there was really friendly and helpful. I didn't realize how far it was from downtown, and I was surprised that there wasn't a path along the river (no fault of the hostel, obviously!). But the loaner bikes were great for making it a quick ride to downtown.
- Terry (7/5): Guess okay as a hostel stay but wouldn’t return. - King bed, quick reservation A/C did not work, slept with fan at window, borders very busy highway, noisy all night. Tiny shower. Breakfast was a muffin & coffee.
- Susan (10/5): Good vibes from staff and fellow guests. - It’s a cozy older home just on the edge of downtown Salida. The beautiful river walk is right behind the house. The neighborhood was quiet even though the house is located on a main road. The bed was very comfortable. Our window looked out onto backyards and parking spots for adjacent rental properties. We would have liked it if the window blind came down from the top vs the lifting up from the bottom so we could have more privacy and still enjoy the view of the mountains in the distance.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robyn (9/5): Superb - great location lovely town
- Dologite (9/5): Superb -
- TRACI (10/5): - This is a second time we have stayed here. A very comfortable stay in the North Star room. Walkable distance from town center, about 12 minutes. Very comfortable bed.
- Roland (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (7/5): Friendly and welcoming small in and hostel, - We very much enjoyed our short stay here. The inn and hostel is small and friendly and reminded me of youth hostels in the UK, although we were staying in our own room. There is a shared kitchen (with a coffee maker) and lounge room. The room was comfortable and staff were very helpful and welcoming. The shower in the room was simply a shower cubicle separated from the bedroom by a shower curtain. There were no tea / coffee facilities in the room. Although the room was comfortable and sufficient for our needs, I would have expected a little more for the price we paid.
- Drum (10/5): Inexpensive. Clean, comfortable, great kitchen, quick drive or walk to town - Clean, comfortable and friendly staff.
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Izabela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Boulton (10/5): Cycling stop over in perfect accommodation - The whole experience was enjoyable, the accommodation was perfect the staff were so helpful. Our room had everything we needed.

- Amy (9/5): Superb -
- David (7/5): Good -
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kae (10/5): We love Salida. Love to stay and the Salida Inn was great. - Similar to a bed and breakfast. We had a lovely room with a king bed and bath. Very cozy. Nothing. For our needs, it was perfect.
- Lyle (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (10/5): - Great price great spot
- Barry (10/5): - Really terrific little place with great people. As long as you're not looking for the Ritz, you'll love this!
- C (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anais (8/5): A convenient and clean hostel in Salida - Hostel conveniently located very close to downtown Salida (15 minutes walk), making it easy to explore the area. The place was clean, and the private bedroom was pleasantly quiet. The window was cracked, and the mosquito panel was missing. Overall, it's a decent stay but could use some maintenance improvements.
- Jd (9/5): the staff was very friendly, and I had great conversations with other guest staying in the hostel - there was no formal breakfast, although, the house dad did bake muffins every day, which were a great treat the bed mattrass was softer than I would have liked
- Mark (8/5): Had a good time while staying there. - I liked the staff, Mike , Alonzo and Lily were all very friendly and helpful but unobtrusive. Location is good we walked for anything we needed.
- Reginald (8/5): Very good -
- Vumba (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely hostel to stay in, everyone was helpful and sweet. Perfect for hikers.
- Thornton (10/5): Awesome place!!!!! - The place was perfect and fulfilled all my needs and more. Great staff, clean place, and perfect location. Nothing
- Erin (9/5): Great location with a great price! - Great location, walking distance to the river and a trail that leads to a beautiful pond. Also walking distance to town. Good price for Colorado. Micro fiber sheets make me sleep sweaty. I know some people like them so it’s a personal preference. I would much prefer cotton sheets.
- Anne (7/5): Good -
- Verified traveler (10/5): A Very Special Place - Enjoyed breakfast muffins, guiet, walking trail to river and lake.
- Ariane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): Excellent experience - Clean and quiet. Charming older house.
