We called the studio our ‘eagles nest’- the view was so good that we ate in each night of our stay. The bed was the best of our whole Tassie trip. The driveway is not for the faint hearted but my husband was up for the challenge ! We enjoyed the Sandy Bay area as an alternative to staying in the CBD . Would highly recommend Studio10. Nothing

• Schryves56 (9/5): A lovely property in a great location with fabulous views - A great property with elevated 180 degree views of the Derwent (and the Sydney to Hobart maxi yachts finish). Huge comfortable balcony. Well equipped but not designed for meal prep and cooking. Bathroom a good size, shower great. Big rooms with plenty of seating alternatives. A bottle of wine, carton of milk and the Xmas shortbread buscuits a nice touch. The driveway access is not for the faint hearted - quite steep as is the norm in many parts of Sandy Bay. We would have appreciated a black out curtain in the bedroom - the days are long in late December! While there are plenty of cafe options nearby, a Nespresso machine for that first espresso of the day would be nice.
• Roslyn (8/5): Very comfortable unit with great views. - Very spacious and very comfortable unit. Great views over the Derwent river and Sandy Bay and Hobart. There was a lovely deck with comfy outdoor furniture and the unit catches the sun so was nice and warm on cold days. On the hot days there was air con and the unit could be opened up to catch the breeze. The host was friendly and accommodating to our needs to use the washing machine and to stay an extra day. The bathroom was great with a good shower and really comfortable bed in the bedroom. There was a very steep driveway up to the property, and we did not feel confident to drive up it and to park at the top on a partial steep slope. Hence, we had to negotiate the driveway on foot, and with our luggage, which was at least good warm-up for our hiking adventures. No fly screen on the doors so insects come in if the doors are open to catch the breeze. Also cooking facilities are quite limited.

• Kevin (8/5): Fantastic but a small issue. - Magnificent views.Internally you could not fault. This is awkward as the studio itself is terrific.Stephen & Chris are great hosts. But,if you are an older couple,not so fit anymore & not happy driving your vehicle up to the top level then I am sorry to say the walk to the unit is difficult & nearly impossible for taking of baggage to the studio.This is a shame because once there the view is amazing.I apologise to Stephen & Chris but I believe this factor should be made aware to ( if possible) clientele.

• Laszlo (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious, cozy, homely and friendly apartment, with a beautiful view and lots of little touches. The bed is very comfortable. We enjoyed the nice welcome bottle of wine (thank you, it was delicious!) on the terrace, while the light of the rising full moon reflected on the waters of the Derwent River. For us, the kitchen was very small and cramped, the refrigerator was too small, but if you don't want more than coffee, tea, and ham and eggs at home, I wholeheartedly recommend this apartment, it's ideal in every other way.

The apartment seemed like new and was presented as such. Could not have been more impressed. The deck was large and allowed evening drinks and morning coffee while enjoying the scenery. The garden at the rear was very nice. Hard to think of anything that could have improved our experience.

Property had amazing views overlooking the harbour. Very spacious living area with comfortable furniture and bed/room, ensuite. Linen and towels were 1st class. The use of the laundry was a big bonus. There is nothing to not like about this property.

• Jim (1/5): I will not trust the owner for privacy at this place specially with your young kids in the house - The only view from the property was great Beware Beware Beware That Stephen the owner at 9:10 am walked to the bedroom from secret door while my young daughter was sleeping in bed Whiteout checking the right way if we were still in the house or not His excuse was ( he thought we are out ) All the previous people whom rented this place will know how noisy will be to get in and out with three big luggage and three smal luggage If he or his wife looked from the Fron big glass door they will see all our luggage’s there
• Debbie (10/5): If you want to relax and take in a beautiful view, this is the place with a comfy bed, - Location was wonderful and the view, words can't describe how beautiful the view is. You can spend all day looking out the windows or on the front deck to see the Derwent change and boats & cruise ship move around. Everything is thought of with frypan, coffee plunger with ground coffee supplies along with tea & coffee bags. The back garden is a little quiet oasis

Larger bed and more comfortable with better pillows, larger fridge for longer stays, no hot water to kitchen sink and no cooking facilities to suit longer stays.
• Danie (9/5): Large balcony to enjoy a beverage on, morning and night with amazing views of the harbour. - The view is breathtaking, the room is large and roomy. We were met by our hosts, and allowed to use their laundry facilities. We lost our key on the first day, but we called and they came to our rescue with another key, No hassle. We had a local bottle of wine and chocolates waiting for us in our room, which was just such a nice touch. I would recommend this place to anyone. We walked to the Casino (Taxi back, as it's all up hill) but is walkable if you're keen. We loved our stay. There is a kitchenette, with a small fridge and sink, and Electric fry pan, so cooking is possible, But Not having a larger kitchenette with a stove and large fridge, did prove difficult, as we do try to cook our meals some nights to save on costs. We also were travelling with an esky so a large freezer to store ice would be handy. It is really not walkable to town, 45 minutes up and down hills, and the parking in the city is very expensive. BUT taxis are cheap at $18 one way. This is just us personally, we did LOVE our stay so this is just constructive criticism not Negative criticism as the room is very large and could easy accommodate a larger kitchenette. Again can't stress enough about loving this beautiful B&B.

We walked the local streets to the Friday twilight food market at a nearby waterfront park. Supermarket nearby opposite the University. We parked out on the road due to the short steep driveway that also had a kink in it and no turn around area. Limited cooking facilities- microwave, toaster and electric frypan. However we did manage to cook ourselves poached eggs on toast for breakfast before we left.

Initially, we had problems with steep access as one of the guests has mobility problems, but the hosts identified this and were on hand at all times to provide assistance. • Alireza (10/5): Excellent view PLUS Perfection - We stayed there for 3 nights. The first impression was a great view from windows. We really felt staying comfortably at home after an exhausting long travel. The surroundings are calm and peaceful, a little steep walk is needed to reach the apartment. Cleanness and perfection is evident at every corner. A professional audio amplifier with multiple books in the shelf and amusing games are beyond the expectation. The host (Stephen) kindly helped us to buy daily needs from supermarket with his automobile. It is clear that there is a plan for every need in the room.
• R&A (10/5): Beautiful day at Sandy Bay - Christine and Stephen were warm and friendly upon arrival. They gave us a lovely tour of the top floor which was filled with books, games, and DVDs, as well as gorgeous views. Everything we needed was there, and more! Spacious bedroom, bathroom, and living areas made the space feel homely, with kitchette to whip up a cheese platter from our morning tour. It only took a few minutes to drive to Salamanca for a lovely dinner. When we were leaving, Christine gave us more travel tips for the rest of our time in Tassie which we found very useful. We will definitely be back next time we're in Hobart!
