Guest Reviews
- Mel (8/5): Fantastic views and beautiful garden, lovely location - Beautiful apartment, fantastic having 2 en-suite and a 3rd bathroom
A homemade loaf of bread and fresh eggs from the hens on site were very welcome No cooking pots for microwave, plenty of pans for hob though
- Claire (10/5): - This is our third year running and it’s a beautiful setting, amazing accommodation which is perfect for a family.
- Lisa (10/5): Return visit to a beautiful property - Beautiful property. Friendly owners. Stunning garden. Kids loved the animals. We like a walk so it didn't bother us at all, but it is worth being aware that although the beach is visible from the property to access it it is about a 20 minute walk to cross the bridge to get to it.
- Melanie (9/5): Klare Empfehlung!
- annette (10/5): - As we have been for the last 3 years. Home from home Really, no issue. Improvement would be the frying pans. Food sticking when frying
- Lee (5/5): Great, without much help from the accommodation.. - The location was pretty good with dramatic views over Chesil Beach towards Portland. The approach was suburban non-descript. Weymouth is a good base for exploring east Dorset, and the town is OK, with an excellent path down into it from near where were (Wyke). which was the old railway line between Weymouth and Portland. The accommodation was described as a 'penthouse', but it was more loft conversion with Velux windows. It felt rather shut in, but they did provide a raised platform in the communal area to look out of the biggest Velux. They even provided a pair of binoculars, which was a bonus as I had forgotten mine. There wasn't a comfortable chair in the place, but we were very ;lucky with the weather, and didn't have to spend long indoors. My main complaint though is the access. I am somewhat disabled, and you had to walk right round the house over, mostly, loose gravel, and then up some very steep stairs. None of this was made clear in the sales information.
- Davis (9/5): Superb -
- Caroline (8/5): Very good -
- Sally (10/5): Excellent self catering accommodation - Lovely well appointed property with a great location over looking Chesil beach and the Fleet. Gorgeous large garden which owners are happy for you to enjoy.
Three very comfortable double bedrooms and bathrooms which suited us perfectly. Nothing
- Victoria (8/5): Brilliant location for sailing club access - Location was amazing
Beautiful gardens Large bed was very uncomfortable
- David (9/5): Superb - Very spacious NA
- Hilary (9/5): We loved it and would come again. Great facilities and amazing location. - Spacious and cosy and in a top spot. En-suite in each bedroom, comfy sofa, big dining table, amazing location. Loved the gardens and birds and animals, quick and easy to the coast. Friendly people. The jacuzzi wasn’t running. The oven took a long time to heat up (suspected the door seal was not tight?), although we cooked with it ok. One single mattress looked in need of updating, although my niece seemed ok on it
- Becca (7/5): Ok - Location was great beach however had a fleet in between so yes the beach was near but not actually accessible Not really clean hot tub was dirty and had ants running all over it you got covered in them as you tried to get in then you released it was slimy in side, the house was very dusty i mean not a little it was think my allergies forced us to leave are holiday early. Even found mouldy bread in the bread bin ive lots of photos to prove all the above
- Sara (7/5): Good - Shame there is only one bathroom
- Claire (9/5): We had a very enjoyable stay and loved the house and surroundings - Lovely surroundings, spacious, beautiful and relaxing
We would definitely book again Main areas were clean eg kitchen and beds were fresh but very dusty and hard floor needed a scrub
- Dean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Was a very relaxing break in stunning location. - The property was clean and spacious. In a beautiful location with stunning views. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.
- Caroline (9/5): Superb -
- Darren (9/5): A lovely stay and we would come again - Wonderful location and gardens with hot tub
Well equipped house
Good Wi-Fi, chargers and Alexa
Loved the animals and fresh eggs gift Some small fixes and replacement equipment in house required but good on the whole
- David (1/5): Bad - Location The cleanness of the property
- Lisa (10/5): Fabulous holiday home - The garden was absolutely amazing.
The kitchen was really well equipped.
- Layla (10/5): It was the rest we all needed. - I’m a beautiful spot very peaceful and owners very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful gardens.
- Graham (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (10/5): Very good booking for next year - The bungalow was very clean .gardens and animals where great .located 2 minute walk to chisel beach
- Burnside (9/5): Superb -
- Kerry (9/5): A wonderful relaxing stay in a beautiful location. - Fabulous location, beautiful gardens and facilities. Didn’t know where to put any recycling.
- Sam (8/5): Weather was bad on two of our four days, not the fault of the owners of course. We used the recommended taxi service on - The apartment was different and fun for my grandchildren who all loved the penthouse.
Gardens, views, farm animals. Fresh eggs.
Lady gardener and taxi drivers. Staff were accommodating when they could be.
Our two sunny days, such a huge contrast to the heavy rains and high winds. Lack of heating in the morning, only fixed on last morning. This meant cold bathrooms and cold towels.
I would expect it won’t always be like this.
No powder or pods for washing machine. Drying clothes would have been difficult.
I could have been better prepared by bringing some kitchen and cooking aids eg oil to fry the eggs, washing machine pods.
No games or reading material. A lot of the properties I had considered had this in abundance, I just forgot that Jurassic didn’t.
Entrance was via two side gates, the severe wind made this rather hazardous. Not a problem if weather was good but tricky when going through with shopping and four children.
- Elaine (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable and spacious, had en suite to every bedroom and TV in all bedrooms!
Great walks on the doorstep Nothing, apart from the rain on a couple of days!
- Helen (10/5): Absolutely fantastic - well equipped , fresh flowers and eggs on arrival , clean and spacious . there wasn’t anything.
- Graham (10/5): Perfect! - Spacious living area, good quality furniture and appliances. Three en-suite bedrooms. Everything you’d want at home was on hand here. Lovely position, local to shops but quietly tucked away right on the coast. Beautiful garden and animals too! Fresh eggs, dishwasher tablets, high chair - all perfect!
- Eeleen (10/5): Exceptional - This is the second time we used the bungalow. We love going back there. Save a tonne of money by having the cooking facilities. Washing machine and dish washer was a bonus. The wifi speed is good so we could watch Netflix while we were there. The heating was hit and miss but the owner was kind enough to bring us 2 portable heater. The door was left unlocked with the key on after some work was done, nothing happened but left to feel a little vulnerable. We will still go back if we are ever in Weymouth.
- Jacqueline (8/5): when you arrive you think you are in the midst of a housing estate and wonder what you have booked but once at the back - location excellent access to the coastal path and the fleet. very well equipped small bungalow and comfortable. very quiet while we were there but I imagine it could be busy in the summer being located next to the camp site.
- Dawn (10/5): thoroughly enjoyable, would be happy to move in - Spacious open plan living area for socialising, welcoming and well equipped with quality stuff. Having all en-suite bedrooms was great, beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water etc.
We enjoyed watching the sun go down, with a Prosecco in the pagoda overlooking the duck pond. was a bit unsure where to go when we got there as some building work was being done and signage a bit lacking
- Jane (7/5): Great location for walking along the south west coast path. - garden, animals and proximity to the sea noise from 3 houses being built at front of property
- Beard (10/5): wonderful break. - beautiful surroundings, lovely clean and superbly equipped bungalow. we couldn’t fault it.
- Lara (7/5): Amazing garden with birds for the kids - Our 2 and 4 year old loved the amazing birds in the garden, alpaca, sheep and horses! The hot tub was great to have and we loved that usb ports and Alexa, Amazon prime and Netflix were set up. We all slept well and was a great base from which to explore Weymouth. The staff were lovely and chatted to the kids which we really appreciated. Would really recommend for families x
- Jason (9/5): We had a great stay and would stay here again - Great property it exceeded my expectations Nothing
- Jacqueline (9/5): Fantastic place, would definitely recommend to anyone. - fantastic property, location was great, really quiet yet only a couple of minutes to Weymouth. everything you needed was there, including tea and coffee. Jane even provided fresh milk so that we could have a drink after our long drive. the only thing that would have helped would have been a fan as it was really hot in the bungalow and some black out curtains in the bedrooms, but that wouldn’t put me off staying there again.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - as a family we took all 3 apartments. home from home. clean and comfortable, everthing you could need was catered.for. . Grandchildren loved being with all the animals. everyone was so friendly. n/a
- Janina (8/5): Enjoyed the nature, location and friendly atmosphere - Delightful garden and birds and animals
Keith really helpful and accommodating
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wayne (9/5): Superb -
- Tina (10/5): Exceptional - Out side landscaping exceptional
Loved the livestock running around
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - The gardens here are amazing. The kids loved feeding the pigs and helping the gardener pick the eggs. She was so lovely 😍 Jane the host was very also very nice and the bungalow was stocked with all necessities (which we bought from supermarket as wasnt aware) A 5 minute drive from Weymouth itself so very centralised. Kids would go again as would I if I didn't like venturing around the UK. A defo must book 👍👍👍 Nothing to be honest
- Gary (10/5): Great value excellent stay - Good location convenient for exploring the area. Accommodation was fantastic and very well equipped. Couldn't fault it Everything Good. No complaints at all
- Cheryl (10/5): Lovely stay in a gorgeous setting with stunning garden. - The bungalow was great, it had everything we needed as a family of 4 for a comfortable stay. we all enjoyed the gardens with the chickens, ducks and pigs. There is a lovely walk from the bungalow down a coastal pathway where you walk past the horses, ponies and alpacas. The owners and staff were all lovely and helpful with any questions we had. It was a lovely treat to be able to have such fresh eggs with our breakfast! We will definitely be back.
