Guest Reviews
- Eric (8/5): -
- Roderick (9/5): Location and staff were great! - Location and staff.
- Muhammad (8/5): - Location
- Mary Ann (8/5): wonderful stay in this hotel. would stay again in the future. - it was close to everything. staff were accomodating. i llove that it was pet friendly. none
- Frasure (8/5): -
- Michelle (8/5): - A bit pricey but taste is good No heater that time
- Arcturus_01 (2/5): I dont recommend it. Place is far from attractions and restaurants. Old and dirty bathroom. - The staff were okay. But the property needs improvement. Location - Don't book this hotel if you are commuting just like us. Very far from the attractions and not worth the hassle.
Service- No kettle in the room, I have to call and request in the morning. No foot mats as well. Overall this hotel is very inconvenient. Would not book here again.
We waited until almost 2 pm for check in. The bathroom is not nice. The sink is very old and dirty. It is very uncomfortable to use it. Also the you can hear the door of your next door slamming every time they come and go. Very uncomfortable night as I was falling asleep. We didn't bother to try their resto because I don't want to spend more money on their hotel.
The photos looks deceiving, what we get is very far from the photos.
Also, 1000 pesos deposit in case you broke something. There are hotels who don't require you deposit and they are cleaner and worthy of paying deposit but not this place I'm sorry.
Last rant I can remember, I killed a mosquito the moment we step in the room and the sheets were itchy when we sleep on it that night.
I don't necessarily leave a review unless it's really disappointing. So here it is.
- Arleen (9/5): Our stay was great. - The location is perfect The ambiance
- Noel (8/5): Good for staying in Tagaytay - The place is nice and good if you will be roaming around Tagaytay. It is very near Sky Ranch. Since they ration the water almost every 2 hours to ensure there is no water interruption, it seems logical that the pool water is not changed, so it smells as clean as chlorine but water is a bit dark.
- Madrid (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (8/5): It was a wonderful experience for our family. I love the cozy vibes, nature looks yet aesthetically designed room. Clean - The place itself and the ambiance. Close to nature. Not so about swimming pool, not well maintained.
- Criselda (6/5): Needs improvement - Location and ambience; garden and landscape were nice. Facilities are old, water pressure was low, room smelled musty, basic facilities such as cups and kettle had to be requested. The size of room was much smaller compared to the pictures in my booking. Upon check out, they held off my clearance until they found the room umbrella which I brought back to the reception since it was raining, but one of the staff took from the rack without permission.
- Maryel (5/5): The stay was so so. I’m not sure if we’re going back here. - We like the location and the resort vibes The room is not quite as we expected. It was old and smelly. They don’t have free coffee and electric kettle as part of the daily amenities. They also don’t have a phone so it’s a hassle whenever you need something from the housekeeping. The housekeeping also didn’t make up our room on our second day. The tv is old and has limited channels. Internet is quite slow but tolerable. The bathroom is so small, the tiles are dirty there are noticeable stains on the walls. The water pressure is also low. Lastly, we were disappointed with the food. We chose to stay here because we love the food at Tipanan. Their caldereta and gising gising are our favorites but we were surprised that the food is way different from how it was cooked before.
- Julienne (7/5): Good -
- Baloloy (8/5): Very good -
- Joseph (5/5): Passable -
- Hazel (5/5): To sum up we had a great stay, especially the staff and the food. - The staff are very kind and accomodating The room is not so clean, old cabin. Leak in the sink.
- Ronald (1/5): staff are not that considerate , not that kind - pet friendly staff
- Emmylou (9/5): Superb - Pet friendly
- Bebang31 (7/5): Overall we enjoyed our stay. - Breakfast is not included in our package. We paid our own, the beef tapa that we ordered was delicious and tender. Location wise it is excellent. The room is a little bit old, and the bed sheet not that clean.
- Abbey (8/5): Very good -
- Manolito (8/5): Very good -
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional - Coffee shop was wonderful!!! Ambiance with all the plants and flowers was relaxing and restful. Wonderful value for money!!! nothing
- William (4/5): Smells bad, man. - The hotel has adequate parking if you’re bringing a car and has a great restaurant and cafe with nice ambience. The rooms are quite poorly maintained, and do not share the same level of cleanliness or atmosphere as the restaurant or cafe. The room we stayed at reeked of sewage, and was just generally not comfortable or seemed very clean.
The room is poorly lit, has a very small TV, and a fridge that isn’t even plugged in when you enter. Still, the smell of the room is the worst offender here and is something that was extremely off-putting about our stay. I would not come here again.
- Nimfa (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jhea (9/5): Amazing - The ambiance, food, and the fact that pets are allowed. Noise from 2nd floor is heard in ground floor.
- Ryan (7/5): It could be better - Cleanliness of the place No slippers for Guest
No intercom
No remote for TV
- Lilibeth (10/5): We can count it as one of our the best vacation we had experienced - The breakfast was so delicious and we enjoyed the tranquility of the surroundings and coldness of the breeze as if wer in Baguio. Everything
- Hizon (3/5): Poor - Dirty room and toilet
- Anonymous (7/5): Staff are friendly, place ok especially for pets but I don’t think that I’d stay again in this hotel - That it’s pet friendly Wish that the rooms are at least semi-sound proof.
We could hear people walking and talking pass our room.
We were not informed beforehand that their buffet is for reservation only. We went there thinking that food would be accessible.
We were also not informed of the activity of the hotel like they had some fireworks for the guests.
- Lopena (6/5): Pleasant - Accommodation for dogs and ambiance Our room...particularly room 208..it is located near the staff room.. Our dog was bothered on the frequent opening and closing of the door. Also, the water supply (mahina) and heater is not functioning.
- Jefferson (8/5): Very good -
- Marge (4/5): I hope they would improved it while I booked for 3 and the 3rd breakfast I have to pay - I liked the room ambience since it’s new They are lacking small details like heating pot, glasses, kit and breakfast only for 2 but 3 pax was booked and food at Tipanan are not available that dinner bulalo and tawilis which was so disappointing and really messed up our mood..
- Josephine (8/5): quality and good service with relaxing ambiance, - add more varieties or options for beverages, not coffee only.
location is very good, but the sound proofing needs improvement. the noise from the room upstairs is quite disturbing. needs better sound proofing.
- Melinda (8/5): awesome. will book again - value for money
- Leila (9/5): Superb -
- Mafel (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ida (4/5): Somewhat uncomfortable, cook was not cook well. - The place is clean, accessible, with enough parking space. Not so well kept facilities, noisy aircon, tv remote doesn’t work, phone room doesn’t work, no coffee nor glass in the room.
- Anonymous (4/5): Disappointing - Location and pet friendly The staff is not as accommodating as we have expected, the room is new but it smelled really bad. We know there is no pet fee but at least the property should regularly change the curtains and make sure that the room smells nice. Given the room rate we were expecting more from this property. The first room given to us was really bad we had to request to be transferred because it does not look like a 4800/night room. We’ve stayed in several hotels in tagaytay but so far this is the first time that we had this bad experience.
- Santiago (10/5): Overall, exoerience is very good. Will definitely come back. Staff are accomodating and friendly. - Facilities are clean, good location and good food. Slow service in Facio
- Jessa (9/5): Great ambiance and I liked that the hotel accommodates dogs. - I liked the ambiance and the nature feeling of the place.
- Natividad (7/5): enjoyable.. lots of beautiful scenery for our photoshoot - ambiance swimming pool.. not clean
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (5/5): it was ok - most of the staff are nice and competent. restaurants are ok. garden is clean and beautiful the room we got are old, theres unpleasant smell in one of the room. 1 bathroom is dirty specifically the toilet. there was a power failure for almost 7 hours. blankets are thin
- Joelleoj (7/5): ENJOYABLE and MEMORABLE! - They serve a big breakfast which is definitely yummy. Two eggs for a breakfast is more than enough. I just hope they offer other hot drinks aside form brewed coffee as part of the complimentary breakfast.. The drainage in the shower area is a problem, the pool could have been cleaner.
- Edilmyr (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ciara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edwin (3/5): Poor -
- Shatish (5/5): If I had a choice, I will never return. - Not worth the money at all ! It is so small with a premium price. Nothing !
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was an amazing stay, venue is good for relaxation.
- Pamela (8/5): - We had a very difficult time getting to the hotel as what was advertised here’s under ‘Bali Village Hotel’ when we were not advised about their change of name to ‘Hortz Hotels and Resorts.’ More than expecting it to be searchable on waze, we had to ask a number of people on the road where Bali Village was. No one knew. What’s pinned on waze is vague, not to mention.
The indicated contact number on this Hotels.Com site re Bali village is non-existent too so there would be no way for new customers to find what they have booked for except if they had Dora the explorer’s skills.
We had to circle around Tagaytay for nearly an hour to find a knowledgeable samaritan about the new resort.
Not going to discount the fact that the place is beautiful and the staff were more than accommodating. Plus points for allowing us to take our dogs along.
I have to mention that food in Tipanan was excellent! The serving was big enough for 2 people each viand and that I would definitely come back to the property even for a random weekend dining.
- mary Irene (10/5): - The hotel is very decent and 5 stars to all the staff with their excellent services. They were spoiling me in my stay. I dont need to ask them they will very attentive to assist me in my need👍👍👍👍👍
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst hotel in my life. - 1. Employees in hotel does not know our booking.
2. I was waiting at the entrance for 40mins to check our booking.
3. So many insects, cannot sleep well
4. They got my ID, well did mot return during check-out.. well I am screwed now
- Tao Shun (2/5): SCREWED ... - We were not able to check in on monday . The hotel is close !!! what to do now ?
