• stacey (1/5): not safe place for kids not happy with our experience - our experience wasn't the greatest a stovetop oven was in the kitchen of the room we booked so did food shopping for the trip to find out the owner switched off the oven because they didn't want to clean it (Stove is advertised in photos), the wifi did not reach our room so had to buy own data and the place was not safe at all, I went for a walk to the gas station ( 5mins from hotel ) and a grown man asking my 16yr old daughter to come into his room to help him work a portable gas oven (she refused ofc ) but my daughter was scared and locked herself in our room till I got back. will never book this place again not a great experience for me and my girls was not happy at all

• jennifer (1/5): My client did not stay under this booking - My client did not stay under this booking My client was not able to stay at the Cranbourne motor Inn under booking.com. The manager would not accept the booking. I had to pay another higher fee in order for my client to stay there. The manager said he would contact booking.com and cancel the booking and organise for a refund which I still have not received. It was a no cancel booking. I didn’t press on make the booking into my client was right there at the motel. We did not cancel the manager. Did. We need to get the refund from you guys please. I had to pay another $170 to stay there so far that means I’ve spent over $300 for a client to stay one night. Would you please organise to refund this booking to the account for which it was paid? Price is ridiculous for what you get - Nothing, I wish I had of read the reviews before booking No one at office, person on phone very blunt. 1 thin pillow pp, no extra blankets, bedspread had burns/holes, no bath mat/flannel and 1 soap/towel/shampoo for 1 (there was 2pp). Only 1 cup to make coffee, no milk. Broken chair. WiFi is poor.

• Skye (4/5): probably won’t stay ever again or recommend - wasn’t a lot to like the only thing that had going for it was the TV was working and there were plenty of blankets firstly I made my booking on bookings.com then I arrived at the premises and called the reception as there was no one there. He rudely commented that I hadn’t paid. I said I had money on my card. He then proceeded to say would you want to pay cash because obviously you’ve got no money on your card . Then I proceeded to use my card and it went through. Also the rooms has black mould in the shower was told it was a queen suite had a double bed. PowerPoint were look like they were falling out of the wall. Some switches were broken. Was scared to use them just in case I got a shock. Also curtains don’t completely cover the windows so some privacy issues and the Wi-Fi hardly worked.

• Mark (5/5): Overpriced but comfortable enough. - Accommodation was in a good location for where we needed to be. Overpriced and images look to be dated and not a true reflection of accommodation. There was a small kitchenette with a stove, oven, kettle and microwave, but only only plates, cups, bowls and cutlerly (only 1 knife between 3). There was no cookware or tea towels.

The unit was infected with black mould, bathroom was disgusting condition. The tv remote was broken. The bed covered both power points. The soap dish in the shower was broken leaving sharp jagged edges. Basically the room was unfit to used as a motel room. We took pictures of the poor state of the room as well.

• Joseph (7/5): - Reception area is remote access, i.e. call this number for twenty four hour hour check in. But when I rang them to check in at 9.30pm (I had pre-booked) I was rudely told I was leaving it late. Not sure why this was a problem.

• Joe (5/5): I'd stay there again. - A basic country motel. It was the cheapest option in the area. Bed was OK. Shower was OK. I could make a coffee. I didn't bother with photos to post as the room condition was as described in several neutral reviews I read of the site. Apart from the noise, which was mentioned in other reviews, I didn't experience any of the other negative issues others reported. A loud guest in a nearby room was distressed and shouting obscenities at one or two others who I could just hear who were trying to calm the distressed person. I don't know how long this had been going on for as I didn't get back to my room until midnight and the noise went on until at least 12:30 am. I'm not sure if it stopped but I went to sleep at that point and didn't wake until the alarm went off.

The pillows and mattress were rock hard, there was no doona (just a scratchy old blanket), and the water pressure was barely a drizzle. Memorable stay… for all the wrong reasons.

There wasn't much to like, was full of long term perminant tenants with random people turning up possibly drug deals during late early hours. Random people seeking refuge. The Room was clean enough with fresh linen, but smelt! Door was damaged jemmied by previous break in. Cupboard handles broken draws missing handles, mirror was smashed inside wardrobe 1 set of cutlery for room occupancy of 3 Room big, but my shed is cleaner. Sorry but really bad and should be for emergency or safe housing but even then no!!!

• Jennifer (6/5): A good nights sleep on a long journey… - The bed was very comfortable. Had a good kitchen area. Was quiet. No one on site to get in. Had to ring the number on reception window. It didn’t look as though the office had been used in a while. Whilst the room was reasonably clean, there was a fair amount of wear and tear on the fittings. The worst thing was that the toilet was leaking significantly over the bathroom floor.

The man said "oh well, that's not how the world works". A disgusting conversation with him. Myself and my family (a member coming from sydney) then had no where to stay. Everything about the man on the phone. How dare you call me and say the room i have reserved days prior had been given away! And then being quite rude to me after me saying how upset I was as we were on the way there. A stressful time to find accommodation for us as we were driving to no where after they cancelled. Then getting emails about my reservation the day after asking how my stay was!

• Kylee (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - Position only. Whoever owns the property rang us as we were driving to the motel, did not introduce himself, just said “ when are you getting here”. First room on arrival, the television screen smashed, moved to another room, second room similar to other, smelt like cigarette smoke, cigarette burns on the tops of the table and bedside tables. Someone attempted to break into our room overnight, people screaming, running up and down corridor outside our front of rooms, doors slamming all through the night. We left the next day even though we booked for 2 nights. Unsafe and unsavoury individuals roaming around.

Our room was disgusting on arrival, everything was so dirty, fridge hadn’t been cleaned, dirty plate left on the sink. People both sides of our room were drinking to all hours of the night, slamming doors, yelling, someone also Cleary on drugs that kept running past our window saying some really weird things. Hot water went out and owner said he can’t fix it and wouldn’t be back on till Monday, this was Saturday morning. We asked for a refund so we could stay somewhere else but refused to give us one and told us it wasn’t his problem it stopped working. Owners wife also kept lying to us and saying she would come down to look at the hot water service when she was never coming, it took the owner an hour to finally come in due to us calling them multiple times.

• Peter (2/5): - It was scary: - telephone check-in, door to room open, key on table. - checked in to the room at 2.15pm and returned at 4:15pm only to find the room occupied by the previous occupant from the day before - staff didn't bother to check why the previous occupant hadn't returned the key. - at 1:00am there was soft knocking on the door which stopped when asked "what do you want". A Prostitute/Escourt who had counted the doors and was looking for number 6 - ours was the sixth door but not number 6! - at 6:00am went to car only to be confronted by next door occupant (3) who stuck their nose into our car and room. So promptly packed and left. - Instructions were to leave key in room. Given previous experience decide to drop key in to early departure box. As we left we noticed the occupant from next door (3) trying the locked door of number 4. Seems motel does not have any supervised or on site presence of manager.

• Rachael (1/5): DISGUSTING!!!!! - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING Wow what an absolute dive.On arrival we had to ring a number as no one was at reception so we rang the number only to be told by some bloke on the other "yeah your room is number 4 the door is open and your key is on the electrical box" then we were approached by some old bloke asking is if we do drugs he said he could get us some from a lady in another room. Then this bloke was walking along all the the rooms and knocking on all doors.The room itself was dirty and smelly coffee cup stains on the bench the bed was dirty and had hair in it no power point in the what you would call a bathroom no vanity unit just a basin with all the plumbing exposed .. .hence to say we did not stay we left and booked into another motel.Worst experience of my life I do not understand how this motel is allowed to operate.I will be reporting this motel to all authorities.I have asked for my $150 to be refunded let's see what happens.We had driven 3 hours to go to my newphews 21st and this is what I was presented with Pure filth and totally unsafe. I could say alot more but PLEASE do not stay here If I could give a minus 10 I would.

For “non smoking” rooms all I could smell inside was cigarette smoke. The place didn’t feel clean at all, the soap holder in the shower was broken with sharp edges. Overpriced for this kind of motel Everything. It was not clean, a lot of junkeys stayed there, would knock on my door at night. Motel is old and for $130 per night it’s really really extremely bad!!
