• bridget (10/5): My favourite hotel of our trip, a very well run traditional hotel with beautiful views, excellent food and helpful, frie - The hotel is up a hill so we had beautiful far reaching views of the mountains and the Lasithi plateau. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was exceptionally good. The rooms were spotless and the bedding was of a very good quality and ironed. The location was great for the hikes that we had planned.The open fire and the efficient heating meant we were cosy even though we travelled in April and arrived in a thunderstorm. Nothing at all, everything was excellent

Από την πρώτη στιγμή νιώθεις τη ζεστασιά και τη φιλοξενία, με το τζάκι να δίνει απίστευτη αίσθηση θαλπωρής και ρομαντισμού. Ο χώρος ήταν πεντακάθαρος, προσεγμένος και πραγματικά ζεστός, κάνοντάς μας να νιώσουμε σαν στο σπίτι μας. Όλα ήταν άψογα και η συνολική εμπειρία απλά αξέχαστη. • Andriana - Angelos (9/5): - Πολύ όμορφος πετρινος ξενώνας, λίγο έξω από το μεγαλύτερο χωριό του οροπεδιου με θέα καταπληκτική, όλο το οροπεδιο. Άνετο κρεβάτι και παιδικό παρκοκρεβατο. Φιλόξενο προσωπικό. Αναμένει και παραδοσιακό κέρασμα ρακής τον επισκέπτη στο τραπεζάκι. Πολύ καθαρό. Εξοπλισμένο με σαπούνια, τσάι, βασικό εξοπλισμό κουζίνας. Ήταν όλα πολύ όμορφα και το προσωπικό πραγματικά ευγενικό και φιλόξενο, ωστόσο το μόνο που μας κακοφάνηκε είναι η χρέωση χρήσης ξύλων καύσης για το τζάκι, χωρίς να αναφέρεται πουθενά. Την υπεύθυνη διαχειριστρια των δωματίων δεν την γνωρίσαμε από κοντά, όμως ρωτήσαμε τον κύριο που μας υποδέχτηκε αν θα μπορούσαμε να ανάψουμε το τζάκι, μας είπε βεβαίως και με την επιστροφή μας στο δωματιο μετά από βόλτα για φαγητό, βρήκαμε ένα κασόνι καυσόξυλα έξω από την πόρτα του δωματίου. Μείναμε μόνο ένα βράδυ και το αναψαμε καταναλωνοντας λίγα ξύλα ίσα ίσα για την συντροφιά -το δωμάτιο ήταν άλλωστε πολύ ζεστό με την υπάρχουσα θέρμανση. Φεύγοντας ρωτήσαμε αν είναι όλα εντάξει και μας είπε ο κύριος ότι η υπεύθυνη θα ολοκληρώσει την πληρωμή μέσω της πλατφόρμας, όπου ειχαμε δωσει στοιχεία της πιστωτικής μας. Στο δρόμο της επιστροφής λάβαμε μήνυμα με την απόδειξη και την ευγενική επεξήγηση ότι η έξτρα χρέωση των 6 ευρώ αφορούσε την χρήση των ξύλων για το τζάκι. Θα τα δίναμε ούτως ή άλλως τα χρήματα, γιατί ήταν πολύ όμορφο το σκηνικό με το τζάκι, απλώς δεν μας άρεσε που δεν αναφέρθηκε καθόλου το κόστος όταν ρωτήσαμε αν μπορούμε να ανάψουμε το τζάκι ούτε και στις πληροφορίες που παρέχονται κατά την κράτηση. Επίσης, 6 ευρώ για πραγματικα λίγα ξύλα που χρησιμοποιηθηκαν ίσως ήταν κάπως ακριβά, δεδομένου ότι δεν καταναλώθηκε ολόκληρο κασόνι και σε αρκετά καταλυματα το πρώτο κασόνι είναι στην τιμή του δωματίου και το δεύτερο χρεώνεται. Όπως και να έχει, η επίσκεψή σε αυτό τον ξενώνα συνιστάται σίγουρα και θα επιστρέψουμε ξανά 😀

• Sabine (10/5): Sehr gemütliches steinernes Hotel und Restaurant am Berg mit aufmerksamem Wirt - Sehr netter Empfang und Abschied nach gratis Kaffee, Wasser, Gebäck und Obst durch den aufmerksamen Gastgeber. Sehr gemütliches grosses geheiztes Eckzimmer mit Steinbogen, Schaukelstuhl, Sofa und Kamin. Gutes Restaurant des gleichen Wirtes direkt gegenüber; Parkplatz dahinter. Toller Talblick und original gregorianische Liturgie am Wochenende. Tote Katze am Morgen am Parkplatz. Rein griechische Ausschilderung, diese aber zuverlässig zielführend. Gepäckgebuckel über diverse Treppen bei der steilen Hanglage.

Parvekkeelta loistavat näköalat Lassithin ylätasangolle. Suositeltava majoitus pariksi yöksi, jolloin ehtii kiertää tasangon ja tutkia luontoa sen ympäristössä. Kattava aamiainen, jonka isäntä ystävällisenä tarjoili. Paljon portaita, ei sovi liikuntarajoitteisille. Autolla saapuessa navigointi haastava ja kujat kapeita, hyvä parkkipaikka kuitenkin löytyi.
• Monika (8/5): - Die Unterkunft Argoulias liegt oberhalb des alten Dorfkerns von Tsermiado und bietet eine fantastische Sicht über die Lasithi Hochebene. Das Zimmer ist gross, gut ausgestattet und die beiden Balkone laden zum Verweilen ein. Die Zimmer sind sauber, gepflegt und sehr ruhig. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Besteck, Teller und Tassen sind leider schmuddelig und auch die Tische nicht sauber geputzt. Wir können das nicht nachvollziehen, denn ansonsten können wir den Aufenthalt sehr empfehlen.

The view at night of the white clouds over the dark plain and soft lights of Tzermiado just below us was absolutely magical. The only staff we met was the very pleasant gentleman who showed us our rooms and served us breakfast and dinner. My traveling companion thought her room, a level below mine, was too dark But no complaints otherwise.

• Erik Vloeberghs (9/5): Boetiekhotel van de betaalbare soort - Een boetiekhotel maar dan van de eenvoudiger en betaalbaarder soort. Tevens een taverne, in het gebouw er recht tegenover. Gelegen in het hogere gedeelte van Tzermiado, het hoofddorp van de Lassithi-hoogvlakte. De kamers zijn lichtjes ouderwets maar zeer authentiek. Goede bedden en goede WiFi. Zowel het restaurant als vele kamers hebben schitterende uitzichten op de vallei. Op de kamer is er een koelkast en ik beschikte over een ligbad. Het ontbijtbuffet is best oké. Ik at er één avond en de moussaka was superlekker! De witte wijn was dan weer niet gekoeld. Heel mooie omgeving om te wandelen. Aanrader is de route naar Karfi. De eigenaar regelde voor mij een taxi.

• Lello (8/5): - Posizione ottima con visione sul plateau. Colazione molto buona, con mix dolce e salato. Il gestore ci ha aiutato a risolvere un problema con l'agenzia affitto auto. Appartamento pulito. Noi non abbiamo mai usato la cucina quindi non siamo in grado di valutare questo aspetto. Per accedere all'appartamento occorre salire diverse rampe di scale e non è cosa semplice dovendo per i bagagli, specie per persone non giovani come noi.

Morgens nur kaltes Wasser, trotz mehrmaliger Aufforderung gab es kein Zimmerservise, Müll wurde nicht entfernt, kein Wäscheständer um nasse Kleider oder Handtücher zu trocknen, kein Geschirrtuch. Im Wohnraum war die Lampen kaputt. Das Frühstück war eine Frechheit, alte Sachen aufgewärmt, kein Obst , am letzten Tag auch kein Joghurt mehr. Der ganze Raum war dreckig. Wir haben nach Tag 4 abgebrochen.

• Frane10 (10/5): Excellente base pour visiter le plateau. - Superbe vue sur le plateau de Lassithi et une immense terrasse ; dommage qu'il ne faisait pas très chaud pour en profiter complètement. Studio très propre et bien aménagé. On sent que le patron aime son métier et sa région. Le petit-déjeûner était délicieux. Les raisins à disposition sur la vigne dans le chemin et le raki sur la table. Les escaliers quand il faut monter les bagages jusqu'au studio ? Heureusement, il n'y avait pas beaucoup de personnes logées à ce moment-là, sinon, il peut y avoir des problèmes pour garer la voiture.

• Jerome (8/5): - The location and breakfast were both excellent. The room was exceptionally nice, although its price was high relative to other good equivalent places we stayed at in Crete. However the biggest problem was many steep stairs with no bannisters, to get to our room in a separate building and to toilets from the dining area; this made it a difficult location for anyone who is not younger and fitter than we are, or who has any sort of access/mobility issue. This should be made clearer in the hotel's information. See comments above.

C'est juste dommage de ne pas avoir eu des oranges pressées, pourtant présentes sur le comptoir. Pour le reste, très copieux et très bon avec une vue magnifique sur la vallée. • Marina (9/5): - Αρκετά προσεγμένο κατάλυμα, καθαρό και πολύ άνετο, με καταπληκτική θέα. Πολύ καλό πρωινό με αρκετά τοπικά προϊόντα! Μειναμε στις 28 Ιουλίου. Λόγω των υψηλών θερμοκρασιών κατα τη διαρκεια της ημερας το studio ήταν πολύ ζεστό όταν μπήκαμε. Θεωρώ ότι ειναι απαραίτητη η τοποθέτηση σίτας τουλάχιστον στο παράθυρο του υπνοδωματίου ώστε να κοιμάται κάνεις με ανοιχτά τζαμια καθώς η θερμοκρασία τη νύχτα πέφτει αρκετά και δεν χρειάζεται κλιματιστικό.

• Ansgar (8/5): - Tolle Lage über dem Dorf Tzermiádon mit Blick auf die Lassithi-Hochebene, 2 Balkone zum Sitzen, Taverne geführt durch Gastgeber mit sehr guter lokaler Küche. Authentisch: wer griechisch spricht, kann viele interessante regionale Gegebenheiten aus erster Hand erfahren! Frühstück reichhaltig. Einrichtung etwas in die Jahre gekommen, Bad nicht mehr zeitgemäß.

• Esther (10/5): - Wunderschöne Lage mit traumhafter Sicht über die gesamte Tiefebene. Unser grosses, gut ausgestattetes, sauberes Zimmer war eher ein Appartement mit riesigem Balkon auf der obersten Etage. Treppen und unvergesslicher Ausblick. Wir waren begeistert und rundum zufrieden. Frühstück reichhaltig. Personal entspannt und sehr nett. Das Haus liegt im oberen Ortsteil. Nichts
• Sebastian (8/5): Cosy place, lovely view - This was a unique experience during our trip in Crete 2 weeks. So happy we stayed 2 nights here so we had time to explore the plateau. The hotel/ restaurant is excellent, and you have a lovely view over the valley. Here you can sit on the terrace and eat breakfast and dinner. Very good value for money. Cosy apartment with nice private terrace. Sunny! There was a dog that barked quite a bit during the night.

• Georg (10/5): - Very nice place! Clean and comfortable! There is excellent food at the Taverna! Can highly recommend for people who are hiking.
• Cora (7/5): A unique experience! - Large comfortable and characterful apartment. Good heating (we needed!) and hot water - even a bath - we also needed after climbing to Karfi! Breakfast good, great on second day when host was there to make it. Great views of village and mountains. The taverna wasn't open as there were only 3 of us staying, which was a shame as from breakfast we would say the host was a great cook! Place a bit hard to find as village is labyrinthine!
• Susan (9/5): - Absolutely delightful stay unfortunately we had very wet weather & low cloud but it would have been a stunning view too! So we did not walk out from the hotel. The rain!
