• Hayley (10/5): - After a bit of a mix up at check in we were offered a room upgrade to a Seaview room. Which was very much appreciated and was stunning ! Service throughout the hotel was very welcoming and professional. The resort was very clean and food at the restaurant was delicious and tast. It was low season so was rather quiet which we enjoyed. Pool and beachfront kept very clean and inviting for a swim. We enjoyed our stay.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Thank you! - We booked 3 rooms on June 2025 for our big family. If you have an elderly who has a problem with walking, the hotel can provide a wheelchair to get around the hotel. You need to tell them in advance. There’s a pool and a mini private beach. To get to the mini beach there’s a staircase going down. The pool is good to relax. The service of the employees were excellent and all are nice. My mother forget to bring her rosary home during their checkout but the people were so nice to let us know that we can pick it up. This is a very special gift, I gave to my Mom. I was very grateful and happy, how the people were honest and so kind. God bless you all! The front office people and cleaners are so helpful and attentive to our request and needs. When I told them I had problems with the wifi and the a/c they fixed it the same day. We enjoyed our stay, the free breakfast and will come back again another time! Thank you so much!

• peter (4/5): - Was actually looking forward to my stay but had to move my travel plans up two days and the hotel refused to work with me. I will be back in Cebu a lot and was not asking for anything extra other than a different night ended up just staying elsewhere as the change fee was more than a nights accommodation. My fault I suppose, but would be smart as a business to work with a guest if no cost was involved.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Totally worth the money - It’s a bit off, but easy to get around with grab. Room is ok, beds are a bit hard. Restaurant makes good food, but the selection is somewhat limited if you eat there more than 2-3 times. Pool is nice, staff is very helpful. Beach at the hotel is really small but there are good options within 5-10 min with a grab. A grab to Cebu city’s biggest mall (SM seaside) takes about 40 min and costs $10-$20 depending on traffic.

• Carlos (8/5): - For the most part everything was good, the only things that bothered me were that the pool and jacuzzi wasn’t as clean. The beach is a beach that definitely needs aquatic shoes and can’t go in barefoot, too dangerous. The Queen size bed felt more like a double wide twin bed also. At the service desk please let your customers who are staying with you know about the pricing for Taxi Black/White/Red Local Motor Open, if I had known the Black taxi was going to cost me 1100 PHP for one trip to SM Seaside I would have just opted for a white taxi and waited, wasn’t in a huge rush. I would have loved a water purification system in the hallway for the hotel so I can use that water to make coffee. I don’t think it’s safe leaving a faucet in the room that is unsafe unclean water, I was glad understood English to read the warning but others like French or European tourists in general as well as other Asian tourists who do not read English will get hurt.
• steve (8/5): nice place but hard to find on maps - Nice place, breakfast good but its hard to find - the links for both google maps and apple maps doesnt quite get the right spot and the entrance into the location is double gated and looks like a dead end street but the full gate and guard is at the end of what appears like an alley. May not be an issue if you have a taxi or driver but if you drive yourself then it may take some time to get to the correct entrance

• Shannon (10/5): - This property is a hidden gem. The restaurant cooks amazing food at lunch and dinner (though the included breakfast was admittedly lackluster). The pool is perfect for kids - clean and shallow enough for our 5 and 8 year old to play safely while adults sat in lounge chairs shaded by umbrellas and a large tree. There was a very deep end too. And the private beach was clean with beautiful vistas and a sunset view. Beds were plush! (A rarity on our trip). Bathrooms and rooms are clean and simple- not the grandest, but perfectly adequate. Staff was incredibly accommodating and kind. Easily the best stay on our trip. We will return.
• jennifer (10/5): Good place for value - This property is off the beaten path but had security and the tourist police station is down the road. We felt safe walking as 4 adults up the road for meals and massages. We had a 2 bedroom suite. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and addressed concerns immediately. For example they turned up our hot water heater immediately upon calling as we had lukewarm water. 2k of laundry was only 200 peso. Downside is breakfast starts at 7 and the 2 tours we did picked up way before this so we missed out. Also breakfast food was cold but they heated up our plates upon request. Also disappointed that only coffe is included no tea. At low tide, the eater behind the hotel was fun to explore. Nice pool.

• John (10/5): - This property in itself is a 4.5 to 5 star. The area around the property especially at the front gate is maybe a 2.5. So stay in the compound if you really want that good vibe and enjoy what the Beachfront has to offer
• Brian (2/5): - ***WARNING NOT SAFE 조심하세요 극도로 위험하다*** This resort is very unsafe and we were victims, either singled out or preyed upon by an employee.  He was either a peeping tom/sexual predator/thief or someone who would potentially extort us.  We are a Korean/Canadian couple.  The police and the Tourist police, Korean and Canadian Embassy have been notified.  We are also hiring a lawyer.  Both my 6 month pregnant wife and I are now suffering from PTSD due to this incident.  We were both victims of a worker who came through our 4th floor window through the ledge and opened the curtains and found us both naked.  Yes, he came through the 4th floor!!!  We were both shocked and now we are suffering through PTSD.  We had to leave early since we couldn't trust the hotel and the staff.  We felt unsafe in the Phillipines.   I was very scared.  Moreoever, the employee and hotel management didn't do anything to protect us and said that it was an accident.  They kept siding with the employee. Very common to not take responsibility. They defended the worker and they said these mistakes happen.  Thus, we filed a report with the Cebu Police and have also hired a lawyer.  We believe the employee was either looking to steal things or he was spying on us or filming us to sell overseas.  Please stay away and be very careful at these low end resorts.  It is true what they say when you have to be careful in the Phillipines.  Please be careful.  This resort also doesn't have CCTV. 
• Matthew (4/5): The good and the bad - The room was clean but in poor repair. The shower did not work and had luke warm water. There was a problem with the valve that changed from shower to bath, which was a weird set uo since there qas no option to have a bath in the walk in shower. The bed was relatively comfortable. There was only one putlet (for two plugs) in the whole room. They did not have an outlet in the bathroom. They even had a lamp without a place to plug in. So weird. The staff was so nice and accommadating. They got us an extension with more outlets. They got us a ride to the airport. The views were nice. The pool looked beautiful but we did not go in. The breakfast was good as well. So, i wanted to highlight the good and the bad. In my opinion the good dod not outweigh the bads unfortunately. I would try somewhere else next time.

• Kevin (4/5): - It's just an ok type of resort. Nothing special to write home about. The rooms are ok. Not really nice. Just ok. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Dining options suck tho. The breakfast buffet is VERY limited on what you can eat. The dinner menu has options but not a lot. The best part of the entire resort is the pool since there isn't much of a beach. Particularly at low tide. The bathroom are really small and the shower just reeks of the smell of conditioned water. I just couldn't get the air conditioning right either. It was either to hot or to cold. What I hated the most is that NordTropic is just so isolated. You can't walk ANYWHERE. Nothing is close by. If you want to get away, you have to go by taxi or grab car. If you want other restaurant choices, again you have to drive out. There are much BETTER places in Cebu City Center. Close by everything within walking distance and in Cebu City Center, you have a lot more options.

• Thomas (10/5): - The room had a great view of ocean and the folding glass doors opened completely sideways to expose the entire room. Food, friendliness and service fantastic. Grounds were manicured perfectly. I stay here all the time, and will be back soon. Everything in the room works and spotless. Bed was so comfortable I had a hard time leaving the room. I can go on and on, can't say enough, and nothing to say on the contrary.
• Anna (10/5): - Clean and spacious condo unit. We got complimentary upgrade to sea view. Staff and service was excellent. Pool and grounds were clean and not crowded. Location is gated and not really walkable. Great stay overall!
• ANALIZA (6/5): - Room was old. Beddings are old especially the pillows smells like “used” . Staff are nice , area is clean. This hotel is average and just okay
• Daniel (6/5): - I was astonished that cooking was not allowed unless extra fees were paid. No " News," channels on TV. Leather sofa and love chair/reclining chair had a pungent smell and old. No information posted at the lobby for local tours or waterfront beach activities. Breakfast was a great disappointment, very limited selections and amount. No stores in the immediate vicinity to buy basic items. Water beach front had debris. On the positive side, happy cheerful personnel ready to assist, quite and clean facilities, nice view of the beach. Overall satisfactory, C- on the report card.
• Paul (10/5): - The Nordtropic Resort is a wonderful place to stay. The service is exceptional. I was treated like family. The rooms are lovely. The view of the beach from the balcony is spectacular. I enjoyed interacting with locals nearby and watching fishermen come and go daily. The chefs are outstanding and food affordable. I never left the resort to eat elsewhere, it was all so delicious and made with detail to match my preferences requested. I look forward to returning and bringing my daughter to explore more and play with the local kids. As an educator and author working from home online, the Nordtropic is exactly what I needed. I am forever grateful. ~ Paul F. Davis
• Jerry (10/5): - This place was very clean, the staff were all very nice and friendly, it was quiet and comfortable. The only negative was all the house rules, it had cooking facilities, but would cost 1000 pesos to use, if you brought a 300 peso bottle of wine, you have to pay 1000 pesos to take it to your room as well as an additional 1000 pesos for any food you bring. I have stayed at many resorts and never experienced that, but the food in the restaurant was excellent, but the breakfast could use improvement. But all in all we had a good experience!

But as we came to the staff and the resort, we felt comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent! But the one thing I like about the place is it’s peaceful, not overcrowded, and clean.

We stayed in Studio 3 which compared to old Motel 6 accommodations. I believe the rooms in the other building are more updated. The pool is stunning, and I love the outdoor area. The restaurant was great as well.

Only 1 minute drive off main road, however it feels like a little patch of paradise with a wonderful veiw. Also thanks to the staff who prepared a tasty little breaky to go when we did a day trip and left nordtropic at 5.30am. Also the food menu is very nice and restaurant feels classy and styleish. I wish i had a collared shirt.

The hotel need a shuttle to transport guest from and to airport since it’s located inside; far from the highway. Cabs asked extra fare from passengers and carry little or no change that we ended up paying more. Vicinities going to the hotel was not good.

• Michelle (10/5): Lovely hotel and staff - Staff were really helpful and welcoming. Apartment was clean and the towels/bedding smelt amazing! Free water in the rooms which was great, and a good range of movie channels for when the odd storm came in! POOL is lovely, with a great view. Lifeguard on duty all the time. Nice ( if a bit small) strip of private beach. We got a bit of attention from the locals but all friendly/ some sales of trips etc, but the beach and facilities are totally private and felt really safe. It would be even better if there were other resorts nearby/bars etc on a larger strip of beach, but the hotel and staff were great. Helped us organise trips/taxis with no problems.
• David (8/5): Very nice - Our reserved room was quite average. They were obliging to upgrade us for a reasonable addition. Beautiful ocean view. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Our bedroom air conditioner struggled. Overall wonderful service. Very helpful with transportation and outside arrangements.

It's far from the center so you have no choice but to eat in their pricey restaurant. There's a rent a car service though. You can ask the front desk.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Great Stay - We had a great time at the Nordtropic after moving from the city. Unless you are wanting the city experience I would recommend the Mactan Island resorts. If you want to still go to see the city it can be arranged. Hotels are a lot nicer and less expensive here.

So happy our experience turned out to be perfect as it was supposed to be a treat to my family. All 3 rooms booked (as we were a family of 14) were so clean! Service was above and beyond. Food was delicious. They give unlimited bottled water. Infinity pool and beach was breathtaking. Will definitely go back and stay here for longer!

It has a clean swimming pool with the beautiful sea nearby. I loved the pizzas served at the hotel restaurant. It had a crispy crust with melting cheese!! My wife also enjoyed the seafood there with the fantastic view. The hotel staffs were very kind and helpful as the other people commented. Probably, that is the most important part of any hotels, and the Nordtropic Resort has it. You better try it if you have a chance!!!
• Ronnie (10/5): Nice hotel by the sea - Open and bright hotel with lovely shallow/deep end infinity pool, own harbour beach front shallow waters, breakfast/restaurant area next to the pool with tree shaded terrace. Suites have own balcony overlooking the garden/pool area with gorgeous views of the harbour and surrounding islands, great choice of island hopping tours, para gliding, banana speed boats, jetskis, diving schools in the area. German owned wellness spa on site.

• melanie (10/5): Nice hotel - Had a great experience here. Nice Infiniti pool overlooking the beach. Staff was helpful on activities and where to eat nearby. The road entering the hotel is muddy and not finished making it impossible to walk across therefore a tricycle or cab is needed to get out. Otherwise I would recommend the hotel to anyone
