Мою Банковскую карту она нашла, сообщила мне и хранила её , пока я не вернулась назад в Хиккадуву. Рядом полно кафешек. Нам понравилось кафе красный лобстер, noon light и кафешки на первой линии с видом на океан.

- Tatiana (10/5): Всё было прекрасно - Всё прошло просто замечательно!! Нам предоставили огромный номер на третьем этаже. Со всех сторон от номера терраса. Есть огромная площадь для сушки белья. Хорошие стандартные завтраки. Поезд нам не мешал. Мы заранее изучили местность, отзывы. Ехали и уже знали, что рядом проходит железнодорожная линия. Беруши помогли и спали мы отлично. Отдельное спасибо персоналу за внимание. Рядом через дорогу черепаший пляж. Мы плавали там целыми днями с масками и ластами. Если отплыть чуть подальше от людей, то можно увидеть много красивых рыбок разных цветов и размеров. Есть очень крупные рыбки. Поплавали даже рядом с черепахами.

- Alexander (7/5): Super herzliche Familie - Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen obwohl es 4 Uhr Morgens war. Sie hatte sogar unser Zimmer schon parat und wir konnten ein bisschen Schlafen, obwohl wir erst um 14 Uhr Check-in hatten. So unheimlich lieb das hatte ich nicht erwartet. Wir haben alle möglichen tips und tricks bekommen von den Inhabern, dass hat sehr geholfen um ein bisschen ein gespür für das Land zu bekommen und tipps von locals sind gold wert. Die Lage ist recht gut da alles zu fuss erreichbar ist. Leider fährt der Zug direkt hinter dem Haus durch. Das ist aber bei den meisten Hotels so, da die Zug linie Parallel zu der Hauptstrasse verläuft. Zimmer war sehr angenehm mit guter Klimaanlage, Moskitonetz und Kühlschrank, Fernsehr, Wasser kocher, Messer, Gabel, Löffel. Zug der hinter den meisten Häuser entlang braust. Es gibt eine kleine Pause von 23 Uhr bis 4 Uhr morgens.

Kind staff and lovely breakfast. Pretty close to the train tracks which is a bit disturbing as they toot their horn. But after 11 we only heard one at 2ish and one at 5ish, before they started again for the day. But with earplugs it’s ok. Sadly the hot water didn’t work either but it was a huge bathroom and very nice otherwise

- Janina (8/5): - Die Familie, die das Hotel führt ist sehr lieb und zuvorkommend. Sie versuchen alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Die Lage ist super und sowohl vormittags als auch nachmittags kann man Schildkröten am nahe gelegen Strand sehen. Cafés und Restaurants sind direkt um die Ecke.

- BirdnJohn (5/5): Nice but noisy - Lovely big room Nice bathroom Lovely staff very understanding and helpful and cancelled our last night as we left due to noise and disruption the night before Noise from train was deafening People smoking outside our room late at night...we were on the top floor and were the only room there (scared me as the people there were saying that this was a smoking area, woke us up talking outside @11pm at night) had to go and speak to management to resolve as they would not leave.
- Alina (10/5): Хорошее место 🩷 - Хостел располагается в трех минутах от пляжа, что очень здорово, и в пяти метрах от железнодорожных путей (окна из номера выходили на них), что тоже по-своему здорово, но если вы чутко спите, то будете просыпаться от поездов два-три раза под утро уж точно. За исключением этого в хостеле тихо и спокойно. Снимала комнату на четыре ночи, она была оборудована холодильником на отдельной кухоньке, кондиционером, потолочным вентилятором, телевизор не работал, но он мне и не нужен был, зато интернет был хороший. Вода в душе горячая, но напор немного слабоват. Комаров (есть москитная сетка) и других насекомых в номере не было, что тоже очень порадовало. Семья, которая владеет этим местом, очень дружелюбная, помогли сориентироваться, найти фруктовый рынок, разрешили оставить рюкзак после выселения еще на пять часов, что меня очень выручило ❤️ В целом довольна тем, что выбрала это место. Рекомендую 👍
- MIMI (8/5): Cheap and cheerful with some train sound effects thrown in. - Good price. The people who ran it seemed very kind and were very welcoming.. The location is just opposite the beach. Fantastic. Tha place was very clean. The bus and train station are nearby, and buses stop along the main street, heading to Galle. I liked the place, but it's important to know that as you are so close to the railway tracks, the trains do go racing past every couple of hours. Some of the early evening ones rattle the windows. You do get used to it.

- ildark2025 (10/5): Tamara Hotel is really beautiful place - Tamara Hotel is really beautiful place to stay and rest. The owners were very hospitable and friendly! The hotel was short walk from the best beach of Hikkaduwa. The train line passes right past but this did not bother us at all. The breakfasts are filling and tasty and the whole place is so clean and tidy. We like it very much!

- Phil (10/5): Wonderful Hidden Gem! - Thos beautiful place is run by a beautiful family, and they can't do enough to help! The rooms are a good size and great value. My room had A/C, hot water and a mini fridge which is invaluable! It's one minute's walk to the beach and is really well located for beach bars/restaurants/banks and shops. They offer tours and airport transfers also. I understand that they do amazing food, although I didn't get chance to try. Although it's a haven of peace there is the main rail line directly behind the property, but the trains are infrequent and it really isn't a problem.

One of the inconveniences may be the railway running under the walls of the hotel, and the walls shake at night and several times a day from passing trains. But for a few days it seemed even romantic to us.

It had a large and very effective fan as well as excellent aircon. Everything was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was amazing with hot and cold showers, great lighting and beautiful plants! we had a private balcony with a sea view on the oneside and a shared balcony overlooking the railway tracks on the other. There were lots of fireflies! the trains to go right past, and are noisy, briefly, but they were no problem to us! we enjoyed watching them! All the shared areas were covered in plants and beautifully maintained. Our hosts were really friendly and helpful. it's 2 -3 minutes walk to one of the little beaches suitable for swimming!

The owners are very kind and always ready to help. I would definitely recommend it if you’re planning to stay not far from the beach and need some space for comfortable rest. The area is also good for small shopping or trying some local dishes.

Would be nice if the mattress cover would have been it but more comfortable. It was just a thin cloth and no quality bed linens so it slipped during the night. This is the only thing that came to my mind.

- Kerti (9/5): Exemplary cleanliness in central location - Everything was super clean! The patio inside is lovely. We were staying in Junior Suite - it was huge! Big bedroom, really cozy bathroom, nice terrace with sunshine. The breakfast was simple but lovely (egg, toast, tea, fruit platter). It is located really close to the shops and about 20 min walk to nice beach area. The family who runs it is extremely friendly and helpful with everything! Lovely people. If you are with light sleep then pay attention that this accommodation is located next to the railway. And the trains ride also at night (3-4 am). First time we heard the train during the night was horrific. Few extra pillows on the bed would be great.

Had I had more days available, I'd have stayed more. I had the pleasure of having their home cooked tasty meals which was very nice and cheaper. They recommended me a very good reputed JLH Restaurant for lobsters and that was remarkable. All and all, I had a very pleasurable stay at Tamara Motels. Would not stay any other place when I'm in Hikkaduwa again.

- Anonymous (10/5): Great Stay ❤️🥰 - Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Sri Lanka! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the receptionist and we booked a twin bed room and we were upgraded to the Junior Suite Room. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and We had two great evenings here, specially we need to mention in the restaurant there is a nice art. Even we never see those things before. It is amazing and lovely. Those things obviously also added up to the experience. Devindi and Nipun are such a warm personality and highly motivated guide (recommendable!). The scenery of the hotel was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. Note, this is such a nice place, and the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. And the railway tracks behind the property and that sound is bearable it’s not big a problem for to see the beautiful of that nature. All respect for the receptionist and the staff who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!

- Patricia (10/5): Hikkaduwa’s hidden gem, thanks for such a lovely stay! - I had such a lovely stay at Tamara Motels. Devindi and her family are warm and friendly hosts, and nothing was too much trouble. Communication with them was great right from the start. The room itself was fantastic, absolutely huge, comfy beds, gorgeous bathroom and the biggest balconies! The whole place is spotlessly clean, and the location is perfect! The only slight downside is the railway line that runs directly behind the property, which is quite loud, but nothing a pair of earplugs can’t solve (available from reception)

Everyone is incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We had breakfast from them, delicious and superb. They have a lot of different breakfast options. It's like French toast, an international breakfast, and also a Sri Lankan breakfast. When we check into the room, the room smells of cinnamon, which is very pleasant for us. It's right next to the train tracks, but that didn't bother us. This was one of the nicest places we stayed in the four weeks we spent in Sri Lanka. We are recommend this good place and definitely we will come again to here. Best Of Luck Tamara Motels. Nothing. Everything is good 😇

- Elaine (9/5): Thank you, it was lovely, would definitely return & recommend - Lovely family run motel, very friendly and welcoming hosts, loved the property immediately with its quirkiness and cute decor in rooms, appreciated having a fridge, kettle and somewhere to hang out wet beachwear (on the roof top) we also appreciated the location next to the train track and this added to our Sri Lankan experience after having done the Colombo, Kandy, Ella train journey. Nice breakfast, choices, and plentiful. Brilliant location only a minutes walk from beach, shops restaurants etc. Disappointing that during a five night stay our room wasn’t made up (clean towels offered, bins emptied etc) however this did not effect the quality of our stay but is meant as helpful feedback to hosts.

The room was nice and spacious and the location is perfect to the beach and plenty of shops and restaurants. The room did have a slight smell to it and the bed could have been a lot comfier (a double sheet instead of two singles). It is also extremely close to the train track which completely shakes the building, you don’t sleep through it, but I don’t think this is avoidable anywhere you stay.

Before we went their we heard and read lots of comments and reviews about this motel. When we come over there we realized yes everything is true. We have stay for a three days for at this hotel. Stepping through the garden, i was immediately struck by the beautiful and friendly reception area. Light, airy and very spacious...very welcoming atmosphere. The staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. This is a family business doing by mother son his wife and cute little baby. They always greeting and smiling to us. They are very helpful and give us the best option for everything we need. The breakfasts were amazing. It is not like other breakfast we had. Bread toast and omlet in it. Its very delicious.The location of the hotel is great. The room was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials. I have no hesitation in recommending this place to the tourists who want to go to Hikkaduwa. Will be back to this place soon..!!!

Nipun and his family are so frendly and welcoming thank You for everything! We had a lot of requests and they always help us with smile! About room, we get room no 1 and it was exactly what photos showing so big plus for that! Big room with huge bathroom and small kitchen if you want to save some money and cook by yourown! Place is spotless! Also they have showers outside if you want to clean yourself after beach. They also have restaurant if you want to try! If you looking something to feel like home not in hotel thats your spot! We will back there if we will be in Hikkaduwa again for sure!

Amazing people in Tamara hotels very kind and friendly people and a very nice breakfast. they direct us to one of best places to dinner. they were very helpful. their was every facility what we need form hotel room. we stayed at Junior Suite with Balcony, have plenty of free area to walk & it is so relaxation to mind. location is very clean. my children enjoyed superbly Couse they have plenty of area to play. with past experience this is the best place i have every stayed.

- Stephanie (10/5): fantastic - This is a lovely family owned guest house with clean rooms, good food, and amazing hosts. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. I am frequently in Hikkaduwa and every time I book here without hesitation. Highly recommend it. The only downside is it is right near the train tracks and you will be waken in the morning by the whistles and rush of the train going by- but if you're an early bird or get back to sleep it's totally worth it.
