Its right outside the train station and is walkable distance to all major areas and nature. The room was clean and well maintained, beds comfortable. The overall ambience was so good. I love the way the kitchens and common areas are maintained. The view from the rooms was quite pretty and made the stay even more great. The staff was quite so polite and accomodating. They were kind enough to help us organize our kids birthday cake cutting with us. Overall I enjoyed stating at Grand Hotel and would definitely recommend it.

• AHuijs (8/5): Prima plek in Engelberg - Schoon, alle voorzieningen. Houdt het midden tussen hotel en appartement. Geen vergelijking met een hostel zoals een backpackers overnachtingsplek. GRAND is veel meer dan dat. De keuken en gemeenschappelijke zitruimte sluit om 2300 uur. Dat is wel wat vroeg. Je zou langer willen kunnen zitten voor lezen, studeren of een spelletje. Zou mogelijk moeten zijn, want geen overlast voor de slaapkamers.

• Mathias (10/5): Modernes ideal gelegenes Hostel mit schönem Flair u. Potential zum Kennenlernen von anderen Familien - Das Hostel ist direkt neben Bahnhof und Bushaltestelle der Skibusse gelegen. Das Haus und alle Einrichtungen ist modern und stilvoll gemacht. In den zwei gemeinsamen Küchen und Essensräumen war alles sauber, wohnlich und gut ausgestattet (inklusive Raclette Ofen z.B.) und jedes Zimmer hatte sein eigenes Fach und seinen eigenen Kühlschrank. Die Buchung von Frühstück per App und auch Check-In und Öffnen der Türen per App hat gut funktioniert. Über die App wurden wir auch einmal zum Gratis Glühweintrinken auf der Terrasse und Gratis Kakao trinken im nahegelegenen Partnerhotel eingeladen. Zusätzlich gab es Rabatte z.B. beim Skigeschäft. Der Mitarbeiter Facundo war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Der Aufzug war winzig.

The room was comfortable and overall quiet - just when we had a lot of snow we could hear the machines sounds from outside already at 5.15am. The common kitchen has everything that you need and the modern closing system with the cell phone is great. Shower: water temperature instable and not having a proper closing, just the curtain is not nice. It smell humidity. A shower stall would be pretty much appreciated.

Die Planung, Vorbereitung und Kommunikation verlief reibungslos und genauso wie beschrieben. Die Codes und Zugänge funktionierten, die Lage ist optimal gegenüber des Bahnhofs und nur wenige Gehminuten von Einkaufsgelegenheiten entfernt. Direkt vis-à-vis ist ein avec-Shop für das Nötigste. Das Zimmer war geräumig, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Ebenso wie die beiden Gemeinschaftsküchen, wo grossen Wert auf Ordnung und Sauberkeit gelegt wird. Jedes Zimmer hat sein eigenes Kühlfach und Schränkchen, um Nahrungsmittel aufzubewahren. Alles (Türen und Fächer) sind unkompliziert via App steuerbar und zugänglich. Die Mitarbeitenden sind unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir durften problemlos unser Gepäck im Gepäckraum deponieren an unserem letzten Skitag. Praktisch war ausserdem, dass die Skier, Schuhe usw. im Flur aufbewahrt werden konnten. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut, das Haus ist toll und unbedingt empfehlenswert, so dass wir jederzeit wiederkommen würden. keinerlei Kritik

• Guillermo (9/5): Great Family Experience in a Modern Hostel - Our experience was very good. It was the first time we stayed in a hostel as a family, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the concept. The facilities are fantastic, modern, and very well designed for both adults and children. Everything is highly automated, which makes the stay very comfortable, smooth, and easy from the very beginning. The common areas are well maintained and very functional. During our stay, we only interacted with Facundo, who treated us extremely well and helped us with a couple of questions, which we really appreciated. We also visited during a period with few guests, which made the experience especially calm and quiet. The only downside was that at times there was a slight smell of cigarette smoke coming from the bar next door, almost inside the hostel. Other than that, the experience was very positive and we would definitely recommend it.

One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its excellent location, very close to Engelberg Train Station and Mount Titles, making it a convenient base for sightseeing and mountain activities. A standout feature is the common kitchen, which is very useful for guests who prefer to cook their own meals, especially for families or long stays. The staff was helpful and welcoming, and check-in/check-out was smooth. • DERYA (9/5): - Alex, his welcome and showing the facility was really great. We had room 15 for our family with 3x2 bunker beds. The space in the room was more than average family rooms. The location can not be beaten, a few steps from the train station where we could hop on a bus to get to the cable cabins. The common kitchen areas (2 levels) were top notch. We could cook ourselves with everything available with any utensils (fondue, raclette, pans etc). We will definetely return. nothing

Close to everything you need, rooms are clean, cozy, amazing views from the windows and the common kitchen are just top level. I would denitely come back here on my next skitrip to Engelberg.

• Qnan (7/5): Comfy, affordable, central - Well-organized place with an app for most things (that actually works!), very good location, clean and friendly. Sound isolation is minimal, like in most old buildings, so be prepared for some noise from rowdy teenagers after hours. The rooms aren't too warm, likely also due to the old construction. Finally, shared kitchens officially operate only from 07:30, which can be on the late side if you are aiming to hit the slopes early.

• Christine (7/5): Funktional & modern. Gut für kurze Aufenthalte. - Sehr zentral & alles vorhanden was mensch braucht. Alles in allem sehr funktional. Für den längeren Aufenthalt gab es eine Zimmerreinigung geschenkt - Danke! Geschätzt hätte ich, wenn diese angekündigt worden wäre (Privatsphäre!) und wenn sie sich auf die Reinigung beschränkt hätte: Gemachte Betten müssen nicht nochmals gemacht werden, hingegen ist die Reinigung von Böden/Lavabo bei einer Woche Aufenthalt sehr willkommen. Küchenmaterialien sind grosszügig vorhanden, Fach & Kühlfach gross genug. Auch gibts Gewürze, Öl, Essig usw. Alle Bratpfannen sind zerkratzt, Kellen & Kochbesteck müssten ersetzt werden. Sind viele Gäste da, wirds eng in den Gemeinschaftsküchen. Besonders fehlt ein gemütlicher Teil, Sofaecke zum Verweilen, insb da die Zimmer (berechtigterweise) klein sind. Darum haben wir für den längeren Aufenthalt ein grösseres Zimmer gewählt (für 4Personen, wir waren zu zweit). Das lohnt sich & der Aufpreis ist gering. In der öffentlichen Bar wird abens geraucht, was auf dem Weg zur Küche riechbar ist, auch tagsüber.

La cocina que es compartida estuvo limpia todo el tiempo y tienen todos los utensilios necesarios. Está muy bien ubicado. La habitación solo tiene como un pequeño mueble para sentarse no muy cómodo la verdad. Tampoco dispone de espacio para trabajar con el ordenador.
