Room was clean and staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. My wife is diabetic and they were very helpful in storing her medicine and making it available whenever we needed it. Nothing in particular.

Our renovated room was very comfortable (full marks for bright reading lights). Excellent well-chosen framed photographs and well-presented history of the hotel and the town. The Monday evening music in the bar was an authentic folk-music treat

- Jackie (10/5): It was a perfect venue for us - everything far surpassed our expectations. - The location was beautiful with views of the Mountains of Mourne when you stepped out of the hotel. The hotel was located on a quaint narrow road leading to a pretty bridge and pretty much on the shores of Carlingford Lough. The weather wasn't the best when we were there but that's something you can never legislate for in Northern Ireland but ... nothing stopped this being an amazing location. We had the ground floor accessible room it was just right - particularly the bathroom facilities were perfect for the less able traveller. I would say it would be difficult space wise for a wheelchair but highly recommend for someone who uses a stick or rollator like my friend who I travelled with. The staff were lovely, so courteous and couldn't do enough to help. The food was superb with some more unusual items on the menu which were really delicious and well presented - hats off to the chef!! And breakfast was great - perfectly made scrambled egg on day 1 and pancakes and bacon on day 2 - I wanted to stay longer even if it was just for the pancakes!! Thoroughly recommend this stay whether you want a quiet relaxing break, as we did or something a bit livelier - the traditional music in the adjoining Crawfords bar was excellent and the atmosphere was great and the locals made us feel very welcome - great craic. I know nothing can be done about this but close by parking could have been an issue for us - it is a narrow street with parking on one side. Both days we managed to get very close but it took several drive arounds. This would be no issue for more able visitors as there was always space outside the street - never let this put you off but just be aware of it.

Full Irish breakfast was great and scrambled eggs and toast was perfect according to my wife. Outstanding restaurant - Excellent evening meal - good choices, we had 3 courses all excellent and they make a great calypso coffee. Room was very warm, 2 x high powered heaters which you have control of. Lots of things to do in the area - We used it as a stop off to visit the Silent Valley Reservoir which is a must see. Few drinks in the pub next door locals are friendly. We will be back to visit again soon. Car parking, had to park on the street a short walk from the hotel as town was very busy. Cars parked on and all along the pavement. Price you pay for being in a central location

Tea,coffee and water in the room on arrival. The noise from the room above us was terrible, we mentioned it, it stopped then started first thing again in the early morning. Sink wouldn't drain. Staying at an 'inn" we asked staff as they cleaned at 9pm if we could possibly have one drink as they cleaned in the restaurant as for some reason the bar was closed the entire time we were there. The waiter shrugged and said 'sorry the manager said no'. At breakfast our juices took 3 ask to get. The restaurant is one of just a couple in the village the menu is quite boring so we ate at the only other restaurant we could find. Found it strange getting an email to 'check in' after booking using the website that said approximate time of arrival was mandatory etc it shouldnt be at an inn that's staffed, simply provide checkin hours on booking details. It's fine just for us an airbnb would've provided a room easily that was quieter,we'd have eaten and drank in the village anyway and just bought breakfast at a local cafe.

- David (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and helpful. They printed our Air Lingus boarding passes for us the night before we returned home. The room was clean, the shower was easy to use and had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was great! We had a wonderful meal for dinner also. The only thing I would suggest for them to change is the time they start serving breakfast, 9 AM is a late start. If guests want to do regional sightseeing or have an early flight they would have to skip breakfast, as we did on our final morning.

- Mickael (6/5): Disappointed but don’t miss the Pub and the restaurant - Disappointed by the room while the Pub and the restaurant belonging the same owner were really nice and need to be really considered for a stop in Rostrevor. The room (number 1) is really small and located in the ground floor with direct window to the street. Honestly we had the impression to sleep in the street due to the isolation so it was not very nice. Nevertheless as said we have spent a really nice moment in the pub and we have eaten very well at the restaurant

- Robert (8/5): Nice place, don’t stay on Tuesday! - We enjoyed our stay but probably wouldn’t have booked here if we had known that all the restaurants in Rostrevor are shut on Tuesdays. Apparently the restaurant is excellent, breakfast was certainly good so it was very frustrating to have to drive into Warrenpoint to eat. Also no music anywhere. Bar is very nice at hotel so check music and restaurant days before booking if that’s important to you.
