- Konrad (10/5): einfach super - komfortable Zimmer, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, schöne Gemeinschaftsräume eigentlich nichts

- Douglas (10/5): A wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel - A lovely hotel experience.. front desk staff very friendly and rooms great !
Has a beautiful old style guest lounge and just a special atmosphere.. loved it !

- Margaret (10/5): I Hope to Stay Here Again! - Many comfortable spaces to enjoy relaxing outside your room; location is right on the Camino del Norte; staff was kind and helpful. Would have appreciated a good on-site restaurant given the lack of nearby options.
Food options are opaque, custom, &/or overpriced.
- Michael (10/5): Affordable luxury next to the Camino de Santiago. - This place is a total gem. It has a character all its own, a vibe that I have yet to see in any hotel that I've stayed at, ever. I would especially recommend this location for large groups traveling together, as it has multiple common areas, with classy decorations, ample space, and a self-serve bar that works on the honor system. The rooms are spacious. Each private bathroom is bigger than some hotel rooms that I've stayed in. Wonderful location with views of the town and sea. Right off the Camino de Santiago for those looking for a luxury break in their pilgrimage. All of the staff are delightful. The breakfast for 12 euro was totally worth it, with local delicacies, potato omelette, fresh fruit, etc. The only negative thing I can say is that this place has ruined me for any other lodging costing under €100.

Irme

- Carolyn (9/5): - Too cold for the pool in mid-October but a lovely property with views of mountains and distant sea. Our room had an amazing sunroom perfect for sitting, admiring the view, allowing in fresh air and yoga. And, the breakfast was excellent ... plenty of proteins including meats and tortilla, fruits, plain yogurt, toast, etc. Would have liked a dinner option onsite as walking to the nearest bar after Camino walking felt far (10 minutes or so). The mattress was firm which I typically like but for some reason the bed/bedding felt somewhat austere.
- aristide (9/5): Bon - les espaces communs,
la disponibilité du personnel,
l'emplacement
le charme

- Lantigua (10/5): Perfecto y trato exquisito!
- John (10/5): - A beautiful hotel in the countryside but by the sea at the same time thus giving superb views of the area. Breakfast is not included in the price of the room and needs to be ordered the previous day. €11 per person. Fantastically comfortable and clean. Good Wi-Fi. Colunga is just a mile or so away from the hotel to the west with many bars/eateries to choose from.
- Kayaway (10/5): - Best sleep on the camino. Great breakfast. Nice pool.and beautiful furnishings.
- Gary (10/5): Great stay and will return. - Everything was great about this place. We loved it and will return. Nothing. We loved our stay.
- BENEDICTE (10/5): Exceptionnel 6h18 - Superbe hôtel, décoration et meubles anciens.
Très belle chambre.
Très bon rapport qualité prix

- Marisa (9/5): Enjoyed it.comfortable good breakfast - Comfortable. Just off the Camino. Friendly staff
- Terry (10/5): -

- David (10/5): Everything about this place was exceptional - It’s like a mini parador. Nothing
- YUECHUAN (9/5): Highly recommended!! - Obviously it’s a professional team to running this hotel, really nice taste of decoration!! Highly recommend to booking the suite,it’s worth to stay, enjoy the quiet atmosphere of countryside, would like to back one day Nothing, everything is good!!

- JEAN PIERRE (10/5): - Un trés bel endroit
- Anthony (10/5): - Amazing place very peaceful, I would definitely like to visit again.
- Filipa (7/5): Escapadinha no sossego asturiano!
- Sara (10/5): Charming - The hotel is very welcoming and has a family atmosphere. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is spacious and convenient. The breakfast is good with plenty of options. They also have a lounge with an honesty bar.
- Luis (7/5): -
- Roberta (6/5): Disappointed. Based on rating, I thought it would not be smelly or noisy. - Looks nice Bad sewer smell in room 11. Lots of plumbing noise from other rooms. Also noise from the highway which is busy despite looking countrified. The shutter on the window didn’t work.
- Valters (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roman (10/5): Exceptional - Best stay at my camino, treat yourself right here, lovely helpful staff, nice pool, cozy room and nice ambiente, highly recommend La isla is not a very inviting town but not the fault of the hotel
- Penelope (10/5): We are walking the Camino del Norte - Pool was fabulous after a long day of walking. Decor was exceptional. Staff were very helpful. Very comfortable. Top class. We liked everything about the property
- Manfred (10/5): - Sensationell!!!! Ein wundervolles, sehr gepflegtes Anwesen und Haus. Herzlicher Empfang. Fazit: glasklare Empfehlung. Herzlichen Dank!!!
- Catherine (10/5): Fabulous hotel, great location, wonderful staff - Brilliant hotel and excellent staff Nothing - everything perfect
- Nicholas (9/5): Superb -
- Mick (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the character of the hotel and it was very clean.
The lady on reception was so helpful she made our stay the best it could be 😀
- Dale (9/5): Classic Spanish Lodging - Excellent service. Spectacular view. The hotel worked hard to provide meal options for those travelling without a car. The location looking up the coast is great, however it is removed from having restaurants nearby.
- Kirk (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Exceptional hotel with Parador standard accomodation. Evening meal and breakfast provided. Staff very helpful and room upgrade provided because hotel was not busy. Heating turned on to dry clothes Nothing

- Lorraine (10/5): Magnificent property! Would love to stay here again! - Really spectacular place, historic, gorgeous, seems like a former castle! My room was perfect, clean, comfortable. Staff very kind and thoughtful. Can’t think of anything I didn’t like!
- Jennifer (10/5): Relaxing peaceful refuge. - Beautiful interior. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Old world charm. Beautiful sea and Mountain View’s. Not close to restaurants. Would be nice if they had snacks for purchase in the evening.
- Jo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Taylor (10/5): Truly a special stay - Beautiful and calm. Lovely staff
- David (10/5): Excellent stay - The breakfast was good, and the rooms were very nicely styled. There are different classes of hotels, and you can feel that this one is really at the top. If I had any complaints, it was that the mattress was a little stiff, but it wasn't too much of a problem.
- Deinum (10/5): Exceptional - It's rustic interior, including a burning open fire during the winter afternoons on the days we visited, it's rural & quiet environtment, the kind, friendly and helpful staff, with a special thanks to Silvia who made us feel very much at home and provided us with good advise. This combined made it a wonderful stay for us, and thus comes highly recommended!
- Osiris (10/5): Definitely a place to visit again! Awesome! - The hotel was gorgeous, the common areas decoration was very unique. The views from the terrace to the mountains and the Espasa beach priceless. The staff were super friendly. We will definitely come back!!!
- Supermercado (8/5): Good stop over on the Camino del Norte - Great stop for the night while walking the Camino del Norte. Stayed in a large room with a veranda and a small living room with a TV. Beautiful views from the 2 little balconies. Equipment and design are pretty basic but comfortable and very clean. Great bathroom.
There are several great public spaces to unwind (outside terraces, large rooms with cosy sofas etc.) and we enjoyed these as the hotel was almost empty (stay off season). Cannot comment on how relaxing these can be when hotel is busier though.
Shame they start serving breakfast at 9.00 am, which is very late from a pilgrim's point of view. Fortunately, there are plenty of bars with delicious pinxos in the closeby village of Colunga (3 kms.) so this eventually was no problem for us.
There is no staff on site after 9.30 pm which I found somehow disturbing. And we left at 8.00 am the following mornning, there was still no staff there ! We tried to reach / call someone but no one answered the phone so this can be an issue in case of a major problem.
When available, staff was nice and willing to help so the experience was a positive one overall. Would therefore happily recommend this property to pilgrims on the Camino.
- Dan (10/5): A great stopping point when travelling west. - Very clean and comfortable rooms along with superb lounge areas. Can’t fault it
- Yiyi (9/5): Superb - The space is cozy and comfortable WiFi always disconnects
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): Try to stay if you can! You won’t regret it! - It is a very luxurious hotel! Almost a Parador!
It is certainly the nicest hotel I stayed in on my Camino route. Clean, quiet, comfortable! And the grand Common Room is spectacular! The staff is great, and very helpful!
- Helen (9/5): Superb - Lovely accomodation, with 2 spacious lounges and terrace outdoor seating.
Rooms comfortable and the view towards the sea was stunning Breakfast was fine but not as good as other breakfasts we have had
