Very close to the local YMCA gym and location is perfect at the heart of all tourist spots. Would come back again! Liked everything.

The pillows were all firm which is not what I normally sleep with. Also my room was by the elevators which was noisy in mornings and evenings.

I bought my daughter a glitter bear, that’s like a build a bear that was sold behind the checkin desk. The room was nice & it was great that they had an indoor pool open until ten at night. Unfortunately, the restaurant wasn’t open on President’s Day, which may have been because it was a Monday, I’m not sure, because I don’t remember what their days/hours were, but that would not have prevented me from staying there, even if I knew that in advance, because there are plenty of good restaurants steps away. - duchessf2015 (8/5): Wonderful Hotel - Family trip, 2 adults, 1 child under 12, stayed for 2 nights. Had dinner at the Restaurant. Pros and cons, below. PROS: Employees were all profesional, friendly and welcoming. Room was spacious (2 queens and a large lounge), we had room to move around, plenty of seating (single chair, desk chair and the lounge. It was clean and the nautical decor was not loud and gaudy, very serene. Shower pressure was nice. Plenty of towels. Kuerig, kpods, ice bucket and several glass cups and water bottles were provided. Pool was heated, had a step around it, which was nice so you don't accidentally fall into the pool lol. Nice size, has restroom and a separate shower area with door for privacy. Restaurant is on the smaller size but still nicely decorated, staff was attentive and friendly. Turkey pot pie was delicious! Free parking. Located off to the side from central Salem, but still within walking distance of all major attractions. CONS: Shower had hard water, the shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided had a really strong scent. I couldn't figure out the scent and forgot to look at the bottle to confirm. It kind of smelled like a man's deodorant, pine, mint, and strong. The room information noted a refrigerator and we didnt have one. It wasn't an issue so we didn't ask about it. But if you need a refrigerator, double check, first. The AC works but is very, very loud. The light from the hallway is very bright during the night. It goes right into the room with the 1 inche or so gap at the bottom. Will definitely recommend and come back

- TB1155 (6/5): Refreshed Decor Doesn’t Make Up for Poor Service - We’d stayed here before the renovation, so hoped for a positive experience, after reading good reviews. We were here for an unanticipated funeral and plans were made hastily. My husband ran into the housekeeper yesterday morning and told her after breakfast, we’d be leaving our room by 12. We came back early evening and the room had not been cleaned. On our way out for dinner, we told the woman at the desk the room hadn’t been cleaned. Without apology, she said there was no one there to clean it, and asked what we needed. We told her we’d like clean towels and a coffee set up for the morning. We came back after 11pm and found two towels on the bathroom counter, the wet towels still on the floor, and two coffee pods on a counter (right beside a full garbage pail). When my husband went down to get clean mugs, cream and sugar, the woman who helped him was very apologetic. We expected more at a hotel for $200/night during the off-season, with a handful of cars in the lot.

- Matias (9/5): Awesome place for a comfortable gateaway - Awesome location. Very clean, well maintained, and comfortable No breakfast option available on MLK (Monday). Staff also mentioned no breakfast options were available on Tuesdays either, due to low/winter season. Not a big problem since there are plenty of options around.

- Melissa (10/5): Our stay was FANTASTIC!! - Everything was great. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant staff was very friendly as well. The room was nice and clean. The pool was great. The hotel lobby was inviting. All the stores and fun were less than a 5 min walk.

The only thing I would have changed is that the restaurant lists its hours as being open late, but in fact, the kitchen is not...that closes and it was not convenient to those of us that were not given a heads up. It's just the bar that is open late.

- Jacquelyn (9/5): Great place to stay, just be aware they do weddings and those guests tend to not know how to behave - Staff were great. Place was well appointed, rooms were clean and comfortable. We always received excellent service. Wedding party that arrived on July 11th were Bridezilla crew acting like the entire hotel and everyone in it was under their control. Were physically aggressive including walking into guests, and trying to look into my room at one point.
- Marsha (3/5): Below average and disappointing - Hotel called Salem Waterfront! It is nowhere near any water. Totally misleading. It is facing a multi storey carpark Location. Opposite multi level car park Walls paper thin. Catering dismal.
