Guest Reviews
- Stephen (10/5): - Great location, the lady that ran the hotel took very good care of me, made sure I was happy and had everythingIneeded. Room was very nice. Great value for the price.
- Saman (6/5): - Excellent location and easy to get by around. The garden is cute and unique. Unfortunately the room cleaning was below standard and noticed bugs in the toilet
- Beatrice Maria (8/5): - Ottima esperienza!
- COREY (10/5): - Very nice accommodation. Close to restaurants and shops. Safe and convenient.
- Mariya (4/5): - The location is amazing and the staff at front desk are very kind, however the sheets were dirty, the room looked nothing like in the booking, the stairs are a safety hazard, and it is hotter in the room than outside.
- Simon (10/5): - Perfect spot for a short stay in Mykonos. Stairs are tricky, but not a big problem. In a hot spot, so a lot of bars around.
- Tamara (8/5): - Loved the place where is located
- Luzia (10/5): - A estadia foi boa e o atendimento excelente.
- Enya (4/5): - Overall, our stay was not great. The only redeeming quality are the people who work there (the two women at the front desk & Jaunus in the restaurant).
The room was very dusty and gave my husband and I both really bad allergies, bed was hard, there is no where it says that the hotel is across the street form the most popular nightclub who was blasting music until 4am both nights we were there. The walls were really thin and we could hear our neighbors return at 5am and continue talking for an hour. Would not recommend this hotel, very disappointed for how expensive it is.
- Kimberly (10/5): - Very lovely location! Easy check-in and check-out. Beautiful garden/sitting areas within the Villa area. Nice room. However, broken air conditioning.
- Christopher (2/5): Avoid at all costs!! - The studio room was not as described. It was tiny and on 2 floors. The stairs going up to the first floor was very steep and not easy to use. We asked to change rooms but were told no other rooms were available, although we only saw 1 other couple during out stay.
- Muhammed (8/5): - Convienient location, easy access to other places.
- Tony (4/5): - There is a "nightclub" behind the hotel and they played music until at least 2a (one night...longer). I could not go to sleep because of it. The bass of the music made it difficult.
- Thomas (8/5): - Villa Pinelopi is in a very good location close and walkable to everything. The room was clean but could use some updating. Godd value for the price point.Mykonos is a very unique and beautiful town on the water with many dining options close by. Sakis not far and great Souvlaki.
- Riley (10/5): - Staff were lovely and helpful, breakfast buffet for 15 euro was great- quite the spread they have. Rooms are clean but quite small, all you would need though. Beautiful garden area that you stay in. Surrounding streets can be very noisy at night because of its central location near nightlife so bring your earplugs!
- Renato (10/5): - Incrível !! Realmente o lugar é perfeito ! Voltairei mais vezes
- Juergen (10/5): - Liebenswertes kleines Apartement
- Thomas (10/5): - Very lovely and romantic Hotel. Nice and clean rooms. Thank you Stella for helping me with my boarding pass :-)
- Danut Doru (10/5): - Villa is situated absolutely perfect within walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants and Fabrica bus station. Room was clean with a small terrace, kitchen area and large comfortable bed. The receptionist girl was very polite and helpful. Thank you.
- Reta (2/5): - We couldnt sleep for 2 full nights due to high level of music and parties around the hotel. Not only around the hotel but also inside the hotel. People partying until 5am.
We connected with expedia and the hotel wouldnt want to refund us.
The room said it has a balcony, it didnt have a balcony. After we complained to expedia, we saw 2 chairs outside of our room. The room is outdated and not like pictures. They dont hace their own reception and instead we have to go to another hotel to ask any questions we have.
- Xiang Yi (2/5): - Dirty, dusty. Unpleasant smell in toilet. Close to nightclub, noise won't stop until 4am. Couldn't sleep at all.
- Agnidhar (10/5): - The hotel is right in the heart of Mykonos and u can walk everywhere within the streets ! The only downside is with luggage but still great location and that the clubs and bars are close by so the music is loud all night which can be heard at the hotel. If you arrive earlier than the check in too they were helpful about it so I would definitely recommen staying here
- angelica (10/5): - Posizione super centrale, confortevole! Soggiorno super!
- Sienna (10/5): - Such a great stay. Perfect location in the centre of town but also super quiet. Loved it
- Dara (10/5): - A must-do spectacular enchanted place!!
- Jayme (10/5): - Lugar maravilhoso
- Alexandra (10/5): - Although in the heart of Mykonos town, this property was secluded and quiet. The room was clean and towels were replaced and beds made daily. Will definitely recommend!!
- Anna Luiza (10/5): - I had a brilliant stay at Villa Pinelopi. Staff were super welcoming and helpful, sharing lots of tips on the island and always ready to help with a smile on their faces. Can't wait to go back there next year!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Grat cozy warm place.
- Lawrence (10/5): Cozy digs right in old town. - We had a room for three, so we were a bit cozy, but expected that. Having a larger outdoor area right near us would have helped. On our last night some noisy people moved in. Not sure if there is any management on the premises. They quieted down at midnight, but left an outside light on that shone in our suite. The location was fabulous as we were only around for 3 nights and enjoyed the old town.
- John (10/5): - It's a quiet oasis in the middle of noisey Mykonos
- Tommi (10/5): - Goood
- Shreyasee (10/5): Beautiful big rooms in the heart of the town - Clean, big and beautiful. The rooms had everything from utensils to water heaters to a beautiful balcony. The washroom was also big. The location is at the heart of the town and close to the busy main street.
People were helpful as we were able to store our luggage way past our check-out time and explore the city
- Anna (4/5): - the rooms condition was poor: smelly, a bit dirty, shower head totally soiled, the shower faucet almost fell of the wall, discolored toilet seat, you hear everything trough the walls (Mykonos is a party town, really loud music till really late), only good thing is the location
- John (10/5): - Excellent holiday, great nd helpful staff. Couldn’t ask for more.
- Anna Rosa (10/5): - Camere deliziose in case antiche e cortiletti fioriti. Ottima colazione, personale veramente gentile e premuroso
- Gaukhar (4/5): - Starting from the receptionist giving us the room for 2 and an additional child bed for the third adult, to literally rudely talking down to us every time. Save your money and get some place else. Definitely will NOT RECOMMEND.
- Gonzalo (8/5): - Great location
- Valeria (6/5): - The bathroom was not clean at all. There was mold all over the shower head. It needs major remodeling. Besides that, the hotel will get the job done if you want to be centrally located. You can hear the busy nightlife all night until the morning but that is not a surprise for the location and it didn’t bother us too much.
- Gregory (10/5): - If you are looking for a quaint little place to stay with gardens and trees right in the heart of Mykonos this is your place.
Super clean, very pretty, close to everything in the town and great friendly staff.
- MARINA (10/5): - Parti esterne bellissima
- Aditya (10/5): - Excellent place
- farideh (6/5): - The hotel is perfect . The only problem is that we were 3 adults and the third bed was no comfortable at all for an adult. After manies go and forward with hotel Expedia. They fixe it. And bathroom was liquid a lot of water. The cleaning later was very nice.
- Bernadette (10/5): - Très beau séjour à la Villa Pinelopi. Accueil chaleureux.
Nous recommandons
- Ken (10/5): Love This Place!! - Love this place the staff was incredible friendly and it's literally close to everything in Mykonos City
- Leander (10/5): - The stay was great!!!
Jenny was amazing in organizing everything that we need it.Very Helpful and Skilled.
Very much recommended.
The place and location was great as well.Very central and beautiful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - la gentilezza del personale
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The good are: friendly staff, the best breakfast buffet I ever get in Greece, location is awesome can’t be any better if you want to save money and party right there at the little Venice, walking distance to everything but they have another one call The Fresh hotel is looking much better condition
The bad are: dripping water to shower, the stairs to go up to the bedroom from the kitchen floor was so small . I’m only 100 pounds and found it hard to go upstairs, super small bathroom . Everything is so tight. The worst condition hotel we got in the entire trip.
- George (10/5): Hidden Garden. - Nicely hidden away from the outside world with an abundance of fauna. Buffet breakfast was amazing and well worth the cost. Jenny was very informative and helpful, a pity I only was there for two nights.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Really small apartment, but in heart of Chora city. Big outdoor area was a huge advantage. Cheap considering prices in Mikonos.
- Keith (10/5): Great courtyard - Our stay was very pleasant. Very nice hotel courtyard. Lots of trees, plants and flowers. Walkway into the hotel was nice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! The service WAS AMAZING!! I loved it!
- Isabella Lumi (10/5): Excelent - The hotel is really well located and everything was fine with the room. The check in was good, with a really nice reception. We were asked to leave the room earlier than the time of checkout but other than that I had a great stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): If you need to save the money - The room smelled like old food cooking. As if previous guests cooked a lot and it needed a long time to air out. It overlooks a cemetery/junk yard. I would say, spend the few extra dollars and stay elsewhere.
- Martina (8/5): - Posizione ottima, in centro ma abbastanza lontano dai locali rumorosi, parcheggio ai mulini a vento a 5 minuti a piedi. Pulitissimo, consiglio e ci tornerei assolutamente!
- Javier (10/5): - excellent price and cozzy appartment, the recepcionist was really friendly, she recommended me places to go to and she booked a taxi to drive me to the port.
- Leanne (6/5): Great location, large room - The room itself was large and spacious and well equipped. The setting is beautiful with lots of plants and it’s hard to believe you are in the centre of the town. The cleanliness let it down, the bathroom held mould and was poorly ventilated so that the room unfortunately felt damp all the time, even with all the doors and windows open to ventilate. I think because it was end of the season as well it showed signs of wear as there were dirty hand prints on the walls and the top blankets were stained, thankfully the sheets were spotless. I also think the cleaning was excessive with no way of asking them not to enter, there was really no need to change all the towels everyday and it would have been nice to have the option not too. It was also quite noisy as all the rooms overlook each other, can imagine in the summer it would be extremely loud all round. The staff were wonderful though and I enjoyed the stay overall.
- Sevan (8/5): Quick comments - Amazingly good breakfast, good location, room is so so, bathroom was bad. Morning receptionist is good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Free pick up and drop from port and airport for people staying beyond 1 day, excellent location- every attraction is at a short walkable distance. And I must mention Ms Jenny- she was so very kind, polite and hospitable. She even upgraded our room to an apartment , seeing that we had big luggages. The apartment was big and very beautiful. The stay exceeded my expectations.
- Jennifer (2/5): The worst stay from start to finish - One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. After arriving late (around 11:30) due to a cancelled ferry I drug my luggage through the town in search of the hotel (cars aren’t allow in that area so I can’t hold that against them). When I finally arrived there was no one there. I called the emergency line 3 times and finally reached someone. A man walked me to my room and told me I had been upgraded, he said that’s all he knew and I should stop by the front desk. I was given an apt a three beds (not needed as I was traveling alone). In the morning I went to the desk and was told I needed to pack my things and vacate the room because that was a room for a family, however my room wasn’t ready. So now not only do I have to repack my things and move but I have no where to go. There was no apology, in fact I was blamed for this because I arrived late. I prepaid for 2 nights, there is no excuse for this. I should most definitely have been compensated in some way but I knew that was never going to happen. The staff was not very helpful. When I left I had to search for my driver, I got lost and called the hotel for help. The woman was extremely rude to me. She threatened to cancel my ride because and actually made me cry. As you can see from my account I book on hotels.com quite a bit. I hope that this review is taken into consideration and that other guests are warned before booking here.
- Pedro (8/5): - We had a lovely stay at Vila Pinelopi and Jenny was great for advice, recommendations and assistance. Many thanks
- VERONICA (8/5): Mykonos hotel - Beautiful small hotel...live the garden
- GG (10/5): - Beautiful Property with an authentic Greek feel. I would definitely stay again.
- Tony (8/5): - Had a good couple of days at the villa pinelope, a difficult place to find a good job we had free pick from port or would probably still be trying to find it. Very peaceful like a secret garden in the middle of mayhem as we found Mykonos mad, so busy with cruise ships it was impossible to really appreciate what was on offer.
- Vivien (8/5): nice apartment- noisy bakery next door - Free airport shuttle with about a 10min walk to accommodation- cars not allowed in city centre. Was not aware check in is at Fresh Hotel, shuttle driver told us this. We stayed in a duplex apartment which had a kitchen + 2 beds on ground floor and a queen bed and bathroom upstairs. Very nice and clean apartment.
Receptionists was very helpful with sightseeing, organising a shuttle from port on arrival and taxi to airport at 5am.
Only downside was we were next door to a bakery and from 2-3am onwards they were banging and yelling (cooking?) for the morning and we could hear everything from upstairs.
- Brian (4/5): - The wifi never worked and they need to be clearer about where to go to check in. If we hadn't contacted them before we got there we would still be wondering around looking for them. The staff at Fresh were great and the breakfast was nice.
- Kathleen (4/5): Great location and that's about it - I arranged an airport transfer that wasn't there when we arrived at the port. Had to find someone with a phone so I could call the hotel where reception said there was no reservation and that no transfer had been arranged. (I had emailed so I told her the date and time of the hotel confirmation.) She eventuality said she'd send someone - the driver was fantastic - so welcoming and full of great tips. We then arrived at the hotel (check-in at Fresh Hotel) and they had trouble finding our reservation. The lady then took us around the corner to an unmarked door and into our room. It was two floors - the upper floor had a ceiling height of 5'7 so if you are tall you will be crouching the entire time. The room was extremely dated - you basically shower over the toilet so the tiny bathroom is covered in water once you are done. The bed was pretty comfortable. A/C was only upstairs. It was fairly loud our first night as we were across from the bakery. (The second night we closed the downstairs outside shutters which made it slightly quieter.) The don't have blackout blinds so it is quite bright for sleeping. We were supposed to be in a studio room so clearly we were not in the room we booked. (Also they told us to use the wifi from the Terra Maria hotel- we were directly across from it - not the hotel we booked.) We went wandering around and found the actual entrance to Villa Pinelopi down a couple streets. It looked much quieter and nicer. Not sure where we stayed but very strange.
- Patricia (10/5): The PERFECT hotel - This was a great stay! Right in the middle of the city and the rooms were lovely. The rooms are clean and ours had a little kitchenette in it. Really is the perfect location (if you don't mind a little bit of noise at night) because you can go to the bars and clubs at night and within 5 minutes be back at the hotel which is in a little courtyard gated area. We were even able to book our Delos tour at the front desk as well. Can't recommend this hotel enough!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent location, near everything. The WiFi worked great! The only thing I disliked was that the bathroom was really small and the beds a bit uncomfortable.
- Benny (8/5): Staying in a sunny flower garden - Villa Pinelopi is tucked away in the alleys of Mykonos. When we got there we were directed to go to Fresh Boutique Hotel to collect keys. It would have been better to let us know from the start instead of dragging heavy baggage back and forth. That said, you couldn't have asked for a more pleasant location, tucked away in a riotous growth of flowers. Room was spacious with kitchenette, and we sunned our laundry on an adjacent roof.
- Suneetha (4/5): The only thing good about this hotel was location - Pretty rubbish shower. Room was nothing like the photos shown on hotels.com. The reception was in Fresh hotel which information would have been very useful to find this place. I booked a room with a Double bed and I got 2 single beds.
Very disappointed that Hotels.com didnot verify the details of this hotel.
- Polo (10/5): Cozy and secluded - Lovely gardens in a very secluded area right into town. Rooms are cozy and clean. The lady is superb. You may need to check in in another hotel very near by.
Simple yet very comfortable. Nights may be a bit noisy.
- Martin (8/5): Lovely Spot in the Midst of Mykonos - Located right in the middle of things in the old port, nicely furnished with lovely shaded courtyards and a little balcony overlooking a courtyard. Relatively quiet for Mykonos. The €10 optional breakfast at nearby restaurant is great value in another lovely setting. Hard to find in the maze of little streets that is Mykonos but a lovely place to be lost. Use Google maps to get close and then ask a local, all were friendly and knew the name. You will have walk about 15 minutes from where the buses and taxis will drop you off.
- Oscar (10/5): Centrally Located, Romantic setting - Excellent location. Close to EVERYTHING.
- Doug S. (4/5): SUPER small with hard bed & minimal pillows - The pictures are deceiving. The room had about 2' of space around the entire bed, barely enough room put your luggage on the floor. You must step in the shower to close the door to the bathroom. The bed was not comfortable at all. One small, flat pillow per person, I used the extra blanket to increase the pillow size. The balcony was about 2.5' wide.
Pluses: the staff at the reception area (of another hotel) were friendly & helpful. The A/C was great, fully equipped kitchen area with 2 burner hot plate.
This was basically a "private" hostel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quiet oasis - Nice quiet place to stay
- Genevieve (10/5): Picturesque - Loved our stay at Villa Pinelopi!! The place was difficult to find at first but it was an adventure, and once we found it we didn't forget. The location is perfect! Right in the heart of Mykonos town, it's pretty quiet at night. Jenny was always available to help. My only complaint is the bed was really hard and uncomfortable.
- Ibrahim R. (10/5): Awesome! - Great location and room. Cozy, romantic and very nice. The receptionist very helpful! I will definitely be back to the same location. Thank you very much.
- Sebastiano (10/5): A real gem. - Highly recommended.Staff extremely friendly and helpful..
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel in the middle of the city center - Overall good value for the price. We had an incident where the door lock broke which isn't the most convenient thing at 4 AM returning home. The hotel sent someone to fix it but we were told we would have to stay in a different room and not have access to our stuff that night. Someone eventually replaced the lock and we got back in around 1030 AM the next morning. The hotel did offer a free breakfast for the inconvenience (nothing else) but In the same breath they said they were being nice for suggesting we didn't cause the damage. That rubbed me the wrong way.
- tee (2/5): Broken Bed horror - To reach hotel you need to luggage across the old town as taxis cannot reach the narrow streets and to our horror upon reaching have to search for the reception outside under "Fresh Boutique"
Upon checking in with 3 single beds there was hardly any walking room.
Bathroom was outdated, narrow and stained. The worst was the broken rollaway bed which keeps breaking and upon checking, oops they used masking tape to repair broken frame wood supports.
Not what we expect for the money we paid
- Belinda (10/5): Perfect little place in the heart of Mykonos town - Great little place right in the heart of Mykonos town. So close to the nightlife, cafes and the fabrica bus station which takes you to all the other beaches in Mykonos. Perfect room, no noise and blocks out all the light for a sleep in. Cute garden area, definitely recommend
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location in Mykonos Town - Great staff and accommodation, location is awesome right in the heart of town. Only things i can criticize room was not cleaned for one day even though we had the clean sign hanging on the door. Note: The night life around the area gets very noisy early morning. Some people might find it hard to sleep.
- Carina (8/5): - Nice place for a few days. Only 'issue' was the mouldy smell that would not go away but not a deal breaker. Great location but you have to walk down a dark, narrow alley to get to the hotel. May be a concern for solo travelers. Also, you have to check-in at Fresh hotel down the street. Would have been nice to know before hand.
- willim (10/5): Wonderful Mykonos - Found Mykonos to be very interesting albeit expensive. Jenny and others at Fresh were delightful and very helpful
